Had a nice breakfast. Food is made fresh for you. Be patient, its worth the wait. Coffee is a bit bitter, I enjoyed my latte but the americano was a bit strong. Amazingly lovely staff. Nice overall atmosphere.

The prices are fair and they have good service. The cheddar biscuit with sausage was phenomenal. The burger was also quite good. The main reason we went however was the scotch eggs, which I love scotch eggs. Sadly these were over cooked and not that great. This does not reflect on their service as the staff was very helpful and friendly.

This is a great coffee shop and cafe. Last time there I had the turkey BLT and a cup of coffee. It was a delicious and quick lunch. There is usually plenty of parking, and seating both inside and outside.

So GOOD!! But y’all DONT BE IN A HURRY! their food and coffee are made with talent, heart and soul and time! We had a huge breakfast order and everything came out all at once hot and absolutely DELICIOUS. There were NO leftovers. The outdoor seating is exceptional and covid protocole is in place and respected by all the employees.Super creative and ultra fresh tasting food. Wish we could have ordered one of everything but had to settle for one of each kind of thier scotch eggs !This is a MUST

I live across the street and I absolutely love coming here for my coffee, snacks and more. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. The staff are incredible. My drinks are always tasty and served with a smile. The owner is a incredible man that makes everyone feel welcome. Lisa is my favorite barista! If you havent been here yet you need to.

They use the Cajun Moon blend for the ice coffee and YUM! And the Pork Perfection scotch egg with a sweet potato biscuit made the perfect breakfast.

Black Cafe always hits the spot! This has got to be one of the best run businesses in Lafayette. They are so consistent. Treys place always has a light, upbeat air about it too. Their food is a notch above most coffee shops and the coffee is absolutely top notch. Must recommend the mouth watering beignets or biscuits stuffed with sausage and cheese.

I went yesterday and tried the 14-spice chicken wrap, a butter pecan cookie, and a sweet potato biscuit. I loved it! The wrap was huge n so good! I have got to go back and try their breakfast and the beignets (according to the guy he runs out fast so get there early!)

This has become our weekly guilty pleasure. The coffee is legit even if its not fancy and the food is so well made. The baristas are super nice and remember us and our dog every time we go through.

OK if youre looking for a breakfast sandwich and flavored coffee with lots of milk. Scotch egg was over cooked. The yolk was hard as a rock, and the white was rubbery. Sweet potato biscuit tasted like cardboard. I wouldnt be surprised if it came from a box. If you look past the counter into the kitchen, it is really dirty. I couldnt guess when they last wiped down anything in there.Glad it was cheap. Definitely wont be going back.

My go to spot for Downtown Lafayette. The pulled pork and club sandwich are two of my favorites. Awesome staff and a great environment. Try the ice coffee for these hot summer days and you will not be sorry (or take a nap for that matter)!

I ordered a burger and I had to wait half an hour to get my order. On to top of it the burger was cold. But they offered refund or to place any order of choice which was good on their part.

Outstanding cafe near downtown in Lafayette. I have been there endless times, and I always liked it. They serve cappuccino in a mag, not styrofoam! Food is on real plates. The plates based on meet are really good, in particular the pulled pork. And they have beignet! They make them on the spot when one orders them. Fantastic!

This is a great spot to stop at while traveling. They are known for their Scotch Egg. We ordered two Chicken and Egg Scotch Eggs and the Beignets. The Scotch Egg was amazing! Cooked perfectly. Seasoned perfectly. The Beignets were good-ish. Coffee was good as well.

I just finished eating one of the best croissants Ive ever had in my life. I feel like there are too many negative reviews for me to not say anything. First off, when I went to go pick up my food, I only saw one person behind the counter. So if youre worried about youre food not being ready fast enough, try considering that they might be short-staffed, or have multiple orders before you. And if you want your food that badly, call in if you dont want to wait. As for the friendliness of the staff, I was greeted and wished a good morning, cant ask much more than that. I just dont want this restaurant to receive the bad rap that it does just because it wasnt ideal. Check this place out, seriously; I feel like its an undiscovered dining experience thats easy to miss out on.

Great little cafe. The Americano is fantastic, as is the carnivore burger. Pass on the seven spice chicken wrap - its 98% lettuce.

Best cafe in town! Im there at least 2-3 times a week, and have traded the other cafes for this place. The only downside is they are closed either Sunday or Monday. My fave is the Iced chai latte and ICed coffee with chocolate w/ nutmeg. As for food the croissant egg & cheese (& meat if you like) is awesome. The owner Trey is ever so nice and we always spark up a conversation each visit, and the staff also who are ever so friendly. If you want a change and a great place, stop by!

Frozen coffee was decent, I ordered through waitr and had to use a spoon to eat (drink) my coffee since there was no straw but I was in a good mood so honestly it was just kinda funny. Id like a straw next time though please.

There staff is very unprofessional. I called to speak to the owner and you could hear them in the background asking the owner to speak to me and he told them to just hang up. How rude and inconsiderate can you be?! They service is slow and coffee is not all that great. I will not be recommending anyone in Lafayette about this. Next time they should remember to treat their customers with respect.
