LAGUNA AUTO SERVICE writes bad checks and does horrible work. Paid me to make it right then the check bounced. They are scam artist and hack mechanics. Had to take him to court. They ruined a perfect 240Z. We have full documentation. Do not trust LAGUNA AUTO SERVICE, they will destroy your car. His name is Mo Bonakdar not Rip Patel. Uses fake names and runs a shady business.They use junk old rusted parts. Look at these photos this is how a RESTORATION was delivered to me after they had it for months. Contacted this District Attorney on this guy. Warning, stay away!

My 1999 C230 turned over but wouldn’t start, it was a sensor. Had it towed thru AAA. Always remember to mention your AAA membership to get a discount. This was my FIRST experience with this locally owned business. You only get ONE first impression. Well, I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They were professional, helpful, reasonable and kind. I took my Audi Q5 in because I had a coolant leak. Turns out it was a failed water pump...after 90K miles. They replaced it in ONE day and also performed a 90K service check too. They took me home and picked me up when it was ready. Thats service! AND they washed the car too!! A special call out to Ryan who was VERY communicative and helpful and the extremely kind and helpful young man (black hair) who drove me to and from home (Laguna Beach). All of you rock! As usual, Eric welcomed me in and wrote me up at 8:00 a.m. Mr. Mo Bonakdar carefully supervised Rip and Elijah repairing my 2015 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Very professional. They kept me informed of what was going on with my car throughout the day via text, and email. I really appreciated that, because most places barely let you know when your car is ready for pick up, let alone giving you status updates. Went in for oil change and tire rotation. They did not even fill the coolant. They left grease and brake dust all over the rims after I had just had the car derailed. They recommended $ 2,000.00 of totally unnecessary repairs. Beware of the upsale

During a tightly scheduled tour of southern Calif I damaged a tire on my 2016 Mustang. It was a long enough cut to be beyond repair. The tires were worn to the limit and I had planned to replace all 4 on my return to northern Calif.where I had been given a price and told that it would take 1 or 2 days to obtain the Pirelli P-Zero tires. Laguna Auto Service got the tires in a matter of hours and had them balanced and installed the same day and 2 hours earlier that their estimated time of completion. I was very happy to be on the road early enough to make my non-refundable hotel reservation farther up the coast that night. Additionally, despite the fact that I saw a Ferrari and Rolls Royce being serviced there, their price was $130 less than I was quoted by my longtime San Francisco area tire dealer. These guys are honest and work on any kind of car including exotics. Less expensive than a dealer. I have been taking my cars here for many years and have always been satisfied with the results. Full service tires and alignment on new equipment too, much better than the usual local garage.

On our way Laguna Beach the check engine light came on. I called Laguna Auto Services Center, the staff was fantastic, they fixed my car the same day for way less than expected! The best part staff members picked up and dropped off my car at the cottage, so we did not need to search them out. On our last morning right before leaving we had another minor issue, that Laguna Auto Services Center fixed for us… and had us back on the road. I would highly recommend Laguna Auto Services Center and would take any vehicle to them again if necessary. Two thumbs up and kudos to Eric and the staff at Laguna Auto Services Center.

Always fabulous service, friendly and professional, I dont take my car to anyone else because Laguna Auto is simply the best. They keep my car like brand new. One stop for everything, including the best detailing and wash on the west coast.

I took my car in for a smog check. Everyone was very friendly and the service was quick and easy. Best part was that they didn’t charge me for two smog checks when my car still had a code showing but no check engine light. They gave me a few tips on how best to clear the code and advised to come back in a few days. They charged me for the test that day but not the DMV registration. They added only the DMV charge ($8 and some change) the next time I came in and that was it. I’ve been to several places in the past that would try to squeeze two separate smog checks out of that. That kind of honesty is greatly appreciated.

Came in with error code. First day, car was there for nine hours, they did an oil change and courtesy inspection but did zilch to diagnose the error code. Not a single phone call and Eric seemed annoyed when I called. Inspection showed rear brakes needed work.Second day, they did the brakes. Took most of the day. Called a few hours before closing -- they still hadnt diagnosed the error code. Eric gave me some line of bull about how, its complicated, there are lots of systems involved. Finally told me theyd have to spend several days tearing the engine down to find the problem to the tune of $700 -- just to diagnose the error code! Keep in mind he only told me this after numerous phone calls requesting info about what was going on.Got the vehicle back. Good brake job. Googled the error code myself. Turns out that 90% of the time its a problem with the variable timing oil control valve solenoid. Usually its just gummed up, sometimes its damaged. The part costs $50, installs right behind the alternator on top of the outside of the engine, and is removable with a single bolt. Further, it can get damaged by installation of a new drive belt, which they knew Id had done several months ago.Heres what even a baseline level of communication would sound like. First day, two hours after dropping the car off: This is Eric from the shop. That problem is usually a bad or dirty oil control valve solenoid. We took it out, cleaned it. You can either try driving the car and see if the error code comes back or we can go ahead and replace it. It might have gotten damaged when you had the drive belt replaced. We hooked it up to voltage and the solenoid fired/didnt fire... Etc.So Im left to be surmise a) Eric doesnt know dink about cars and doesnt communicate well with his mechanics, b) the shop is really busy doing brake jobs and fluid changes on rich guys Ferraris and cant be bothered, c) everyone there is incompetent or lazy or d) theyre lying cheats. I honestly dont know which.

Quick, thorough, friendly, accommodating, patient, worked with my warranty group, offered a loaner car, constant contact and info, great reports with info and pics... great place!

I called ahead of time to see if they had a low beam headlight for my 2000 honda accord, and they said most likely, unless it was a special one. When I drove in, I parked it, and a mechanic quickly came over to me, even though they were pretty busy. They did free installation on the bulb, which was only $17.34, and they had me in and out in 12 min.

The shop initially advised that it would be $150 to diagnose the problem. After a few days, they said that they were unable to diagnose the problem, and needed to do further testing that they ended up charging me an additional $200--just for testing and it wouldnt go towards any repairs! After spending $350 in dubious testing charges, and with their estimate of another $700 to fix the problem (which they werent even sure would actually fix the problem), I decided to take the car elsewhere to actually get it fixed.

They have worked on my van and have done terrific and super professional job.Great. Customerservice.

Planned a long driving trip and had LASC go over the vehicle completely and ensure it was road ready. The day before the trip I had a small mechanical problem (tail light out) and LASC took the vehicle in that morning and replaced the bulb. Although it seems like a small item, they had me in at 8:00 and I was out at 8:10. Great service and very accommodating. LASC services both of my vehicles on a regular basis. Always friendly and always a fair price for quality work.
