Very good ice cream and candy. Had Local Flavor coupon which they no longer accept. Very disappointing.

Was very disappointed recently when we visited Hoping for PSU ice cream! Website said hours were until 7:00 pm. We arrived at 6:35 pm only to find doors locked and closed on the door!! IF hours are flexible that should be noted!! We dont go into downtown Lancaster often, and were quite disappointed with this experience! We werent happy!

When trying to use a gift certificate I previously paid for, I was told I could not use it because it would be a hardship since they are not sure their business will make it due to COVID. The manager (owner?) was rude and started her rant with Listen to ME first! before I even had a chance to ask about my certificate. All of this while my 6 year old watched the interaction. I hope their long standing business makes it, but I will no longer frequent this business. Kindness and appreciation for your customers goes a long way.

You cannot go wrong at this amazing magical place. Penn State Creamery Ice Cream, a real working soda shop and an amazing chocolate factory. Willy Wonka would be impressed. I am so excited to have found this place. Worth your time if you enjoy old fashioned historic soda bar and some of the very best ice cream made in Pennsylvania.

Bought chocolate/confectioners for myself, my family, and a friend. Great selection of chocolates and as always a friendly personalized experience. The chocolate and confections were exceptional and service was wonderful. My favorite... dark sea salted caramels. My sons favorite was a peanut butter mousse. His girlfriend loved the buttercream.My husbands fav were the peanut butter cups in dark chocolate.

The woman that helped me was amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. They were amazing and the chocolates were really fantastic. Would go again just for the service let alone the chocolate.

Well, alot of stuff is overpriced. 4 small scoops is 4 and some change. Lots of chocolate was also very expensive.

I have bought chocolate covered cherries from here since 1986. The ones I bought here this year were the most sloppily made candy I ever saw. Looks like a 2nd grader who needs glasses made them. The tastes ok but looked terrible

Hidden gem. The ice cream is real creamy. The staff was really friendly. The soda jerk was nice and made you feel welcome. He did a great job on our sundaes. The only negative thing would be some of the liquid toppings didnt taste the best. What a quaint place and its also a candy shop. I would definitely recommend it!

Chocolate is affordable, especially when comparing to other chocolate stores. Love their non parells and cashew clusters. Recommended! Havent had their ice cream yet but it seems to be popular and always busy

What a local gem! Miesse is bursting with personality and friendly service. Youll find traditional chocolate fare but also the interesting creations you hope for from a local spot. Try the ghost pepper dark chocolate pieces - the extreme heat is tamed and really nicely and married with chocolatey sweetness.

I got a chocolate milk shake, they use pineview dairy milk which was a great plus, I love pineview dairy!! The milk shake was finished before I even got home.. I cant wait to try there candies my boyfriend and I picked out 😁 Soo good yum yum

The confections are fabulous. Delicious, attractive, yet not so fancy that you don’t want to eat them. The folks who run this company also give back to their community and I was introduced to them at a benefit where they donated dozens of pounds of their candies. I will absolutely utilize Miesse Candies again and often.

We stop in here specifically for Penn State creamery ice cream! They have about a dozen flavors, a few topping options, and free whipped cream! With Easter around the corner Ill be back to pick up some themed candies to share with the family.

The ice cream and candy were delicious. However, they packed the candy so my cherry cordials were crushed. Very disappointing.

We really enjoy their chocolates. My wife can’t get enough of their chocolate that has hot peppers in it. Highly recommended.

The milk shake was good but small for the price. The ambience is nice, old fashioned soda fountain feel but the chairs were uncomfortable.

I would love to have the old Miesses back. The new Miesses wont even listen to a special request: two boxes of prepackaged light and dark butter creams with a few to be taken out of the box and replaced with a few raspberry creams. Too much trouble evidently. They did say that I can put it in a white box. Wouldnt it just be easier to give the customer what they want? So I walked out with two boxes of chocolate that I really didnt want to give as gifts. Outta here ... its been great all these years. Sorry to go.
