If I could award 10 stars, I would! Lancaster Door Service did a fantastic job installing our brand new front door and new garage door. Products are exceptional & pricing is reasonable. Our very patient sales rep, Anton, explained everything in detail during our initial consultations. He responded immediately whenever we had a question about either of our projects. All of the installers - Aaron, Mitch, & Kris - were very professional, prompt, friendly, patient, & courteous. We won’t hesitate to call them again if we ever need another door installed.

We had windows installed recently (June 2021) and could not be happier with how the ENTIRE process went from start to finish. Anton Spinelli scheduled an appointment to look at our needs and provide us a quote very quickly. He was on time, thorough, followed up after his visit and again after installation. The lead installer Kris and his crew were very professional. They were very careful inside our home and cleaned up after themselves. It was nice not having to come home from work and spend time cleaning, instead we came home from work and were able to enjoy our new windows. The windows look great, work great and I would recommend them to anyone. We had some exterior painting done shortly after the window installation and even he commented on how nice they looked. The flashing they use around the windows is much higher quality than many others would use and it makes a difference with the finished product. Lancaster Doors has been excellent in their communication, ethics, teamwork, and products. My first interaction with them was to order a customized bulkhead door for my rental property. Then it transitioned into replacing all the windows, doors, and storm doors for the rental house. This job required permits for work done in the city and with working with lead painted windows. The team was very professional and had been meticulous in their work. My husband and I had purchased a gorgeous home; however, it is about 25 years old. I would recommend Lancaster Door Service to everyone. We are first time homebuyers, and our rancher still had its original 1970s garage door opener (single door). We wanted to replace it immediately for obvious safety reasons. The gentleman I spoke to initially (Kevin) was extremely kind and up front with pricing and the installation timeline. My feedback is not all negative, as the project/workmanship turned out well. The technicians are good. My issue is with trust and communication, from sales. I do not trust them, not for the job, just the salesman, the owner as he never followed up with my questions as promised. I feel the salesman was only concerned with the sale, not the customer.I also blame myself.I met with the salesman and discussed my job, being 10 windows and 3 garage doors, totaling about $20,000.00. When we discussed the windows, he never brought up that they would be “white capping all the frames”. We live in an 1897 home with wooden window frames and would never consider capping them.I discovered this when I went home to the jobsite as the job was getting started; the technician said they would be capping the windows, we said, “it’s not what we expected”. I called the salesman and he bluntly said, “it’s in the contract”. No empathy, no consideration, just the statement. He was a bit rude. He did not care.I do consider this to be partly my fault as I trusted the contract would mirror our discussions.If you hire this company, make certain you review the contract line-item, by line-item and not simply sign the contract. The contract was sent by email for signatures with no review with sales before agreeing. Again, this is my fault for not doing so. I suggest you sit with the company and review everything, do not trust anything other than the written contract and be very thorough.So, the solution. The technician came up with a good way to resolve this, being ¼ round PVC along the edges of the windows instead of “aluminum capping”.Withing a few hours of the job completion the salesman called me asking if I had my credit and pay the bill “right now”, over the phone. I never had this experience as usually a final bill is sent to pay when changes were made. My windows are very large, so I asked about the difference between capping the windows verses using ¼ round. He said the ¼ round and the capping are the same cost, which I found hard to believe as the PVC is $5.09 per 8’ section and the aluminum is over $100.00 a roll. I showed and discussed this with a few high integrity contractors I know and trust. The responses were all the same, it is more labor-intensive to cap the windows, and the capping costs much more verses the ¼ round PVC.I asked for a final billing covering the change orders before paying, and the salesman said, “I don’t know what you want”. So, I went to the shop and sat down with the owner who could not explain the accounting as the office assistant “was on vacation”, but he wanted payment now. I paid the bill asking for a final accounting after the fact, which he said he would do. That was 2 weeks ago, and I have heard nothing.Also, the 3 garage doors were mis-quoted. The salesman told me that 1 of my garages needed a high lift, which is more expensive and not able be done as my garage is not high enough. I found this out talking with the installer and he and I fixed this. Again, a less expensive lift, which is why I asked for a final billing before I wanted to pay them.I noticed one of the garage doors was being installed without the trim like the other doors. The tech and I spoke about this and made the changes; it turned out well. The salesman said this was an extra cost but was unwilling to send me an adjusted bill explaining the changes; however, he did call me asking for payment within hours the day the job was done.It comes down to a matter of trust, not workmanship.The salesman is just a salesman. When I questioned for clarity, he did not care.Would I use them or recommend them, probably not?There are reputable companies out there that care about the customer experience, about contract transparency and not simply selling.If you use them, be thorough, ask a lot of questions, if changes happen ask the differences before approving changes or paying them, and do not trust them, verify everything.I trusted the salesman and the owner, which is my fault, but I did; do not make the same mistake!

We had been shopping around for windows and doors for one of the projects on our newly purchased older home. A friend of ours introduced us to Anton Spinelli whom represented Lancaster Door Service. Anton took the time to meet with us on several occasions to discuss all our options. He was extremely professional and gave us much insight on several options. Even with the ongoing Covid19 situation, and a little patience, we are glad we chose this A rated company. Our old house now has a new flare to it and were very happy with the results! Lancaster Door Service was out to service a neighbors garage door and I asked the service provider if her could take a look at my squeaking garage door while he was next door. He was glad to do that, expertly oiled a few joints, and got my door working perfectly. Pleasant to deal with and very competent. I would use them again any time.

Fantastic! We accidently backed into the garage door with one of our cars and had no idea who to call - so did a quick Google search and saw really high reviews for Lancaster Door Service. Called them, explained the situation, and asked if they could help - expecting it to be sometime in the next week. They said they could have a service call out the next day (today).Kelly was who helped us and did a tremendous job - he not only fixed the door panel but also fixed the mess of different buttons and remotes we had that were faulty and inconsistent (at best). Fixed some things, replaced others, and said theyd get a quote if we wanted to replace the door fully. He also said to keep an eye on our door springs and said sometime in the next few years theyll probably go out, but that everything else in the system looked fine.Super friendly, super fast response, and really what I think is fairly priced. Was given a quote on the phone what was really close to the final bill even after Kelly worked his magic with the extra fixes. Highly, highly recommend!

We ordered 3 doors for our home and were told they would come in 3 to 4 weeks. Wow, that could not have been further from the truth. We called every other week for an update and they kept assuring us they would call to set up installation the following week. Bet you guessed it, they never called. Finally after nearly 10 weeks later they called to schedule installation. They told us it was about a days worth of work and that we shouldn’t be home during installation because we have a small child and one on the way. When we got back after there day of work, only 1 full door had been installed and another partly installed (missing the window) and no progress on the 3rd. When we called to see what happened and if they were coming back the following day, no one picked up. We called at 4:30 and per there hours, they close at 5. I’m not great at telling time, but pretty sure 4:30 is before 5. Save money (we spent $4,500 on 3 doors) and time (over 3 months from consultation to installation) and buy from Home Depot or Lowes. This has been a terrible experience.

We followed up with Anton and he gave us options on how we could replace the door and an understanding on the costs. We bought a house with a broken window so had to pick between two companies for quotes during the pandemic. Anton and his team were the best choice and great through the whole ordeal. They even honored the initial quote that the previous owners provided to us. Did it take longer than normal for the window to arrive? Of course. There’s a pandemic happening and everything has been pushed back. We were informed of all of the details and Covid issues upfront prior to ordering our window. I had Anton come to give me quote which he worked up briefly. I asked if he could email it to me and he agreed. It did not happen. I mentioned that I was getting other quotes. When I told him who, he berated the other people I had contacted. He had a deal he was willing to give me but I had to decide by Sunday. Really, Sunday. He was there on Friday. I want to start off by saying I didnt not purchase a garage door from them, only because I was not looking to buy a garage door, but was looking for only a small part. My garage door spring broke and as a result it also bent the eye hook for the garage. Going to basic hardware stores, no eye hooks were available for a garage door (they were all closed eyes instead of partial open). I decided to try Lancaster Door Service to see if they had any available. Initially they didnt, but Jennifer took my name and number down and asked the workers if they had spare ones. She called me the next day and asked if I could come back by because she got two off the truck for me. If this is the type of service they do for someone they didnt know, I can only imagine the service they provide. My wife and I will consider going through Lancaster Door Service the next time we are looking for door work. Thanks!

We were not happy with Lancaster Door Service at all. We decided to go with a more expensive door expecting to get a premium service reflecting the price. Instead, our door has major draught on the bottom and the side and the two locks are not keyed to our main house key (as we had specified in the contract). We took a video showing smoke from an incense stick in the draught; we cannot upload the video to this review but you can clearly see the strong draught in it. On the installation day, they said they would come back and fix everything. That did not happen. We have called Lancaster Door Service 4 times (!!!) and every time they promised to get back to us, which they never did. We wish we have gotten a door from Lowes for half the price.
