I have been getting my hair cut by Liv since she was in cosmetology school. I have refused to get my hair cut by anyone else, as a client of Liv’s I know she has a very strong artistic sense, and she is extremely talented! I definitely recommend having your hair cut by Liv. She also cuts my girlfriend’s hair, and has done a wonderful job doing color for her. All around a great, versatile hair stylist. I will definitely be coming back!

I went to Caroline to get my hair dyed and cut, and let me just say W O W. She makes me wish I could give more than 5 stars. She not only was able to achieve the cut AND color I wanted, she talked me through multiple problems I’ve been having with my hair. She’s helped me achieve healthy hair that I never knew I could have. She never once made me feel bad about having thick and curly hair. She treated me so incredibly well. She gave such great recommendations on hair products to keep my desired color as well! It’s worked fantastic! This is the first time I’ve ever wanted to only go to one person. She’s made me a returning customer now and forever. I hope this location sees how truly amazing she is! 1500/5 stars. I can’t wait to tell everyone I know about her. I always get my hair cut and colored by Olivia Z. at the salon in Frandor. She is really talented with hair - I always get compliments. I’ve been getting my hair colored for like 20 years and she’s the best stylist I’ve had. When I’m not 100% sure what I want (always in the blonde family) she has great suggestions. I would HIGHLY recommend Olivia.

The salon at this Ulta location is amazing. Olivia was my stylist. She did a beautiful job with my color and the cut was so cute. She listens and she makes great suggestions. I strongly recommend making an appointment with Olivia. You will not be disappointed.

I have had multiple hair cuts here and I cant stop going back. I always go through Caroline Krieger, she is nice, friendly and knows exactly what you want! Most of the time I ask for something from a stylist elsewhere and it turns out horrible and the opposite of what I want. But with Caroline she exceeds my expectations with every service!

I really can not say many negative things about this place! Come on its ULTA BEAUTY!!! I always get great service from any employee here who are all willing to help me get in and out. Maybe thats what it is, they know me and I have a hard time just being in and out of any one place I love to shop! LolI do have an ultrasound card tho, and Im wondering why they did not find me in the computer when I told them I had a card but had left it in my other wallet. I ended up having to pay cash. I would say that most every item is more expensive than other places I shop for beauty products. Plus I never get coupons to my è-mail.I will be back in sure. Thank you

Terrible experience! I was very excited about getting a new look. But I spent $170 and my hair looked the same!My natural hair is dark brown, about a year ago I dyed it dark blond. So when I went in my hair was dark on the top with some gray hair and the bottom part was dark blond.I showed the stylist a dark ash blonde pictures and I asked her if its doable... she said yes. Also I asked to a haircut with layers in front.The haircut was a mere trim! Nothing really changed in my hair!The color was disastrous!! When I saw it I was traumatized! It was ORANGE where it was previously dark blond, and just brown with highlights in the top. I complained to her! So she fixed it by doing a toner! Which put my hair exactly where I started with the exception of added highlights. I can see the gray hair, and I had dark hair on the top and light on the bottom!!!Doing it myself at home was much better! And way cheaper!BTW there was a promotion for first timers... and she didnt give me the discount.Terrible experience from start to finish! I literally had sleepless nights over this!

I went in here with my fiancée to shop for makeup for her (she made a ~200 dollar purchase this day) and I decided to look at cologne at the same time. As I was looking for the cologne no one even had a second look, but as soon as my fiancée (who is desi/brown) joined me a store associate (tall skinny blond girl) immediately came over and started following us around at the cologne acting like she was doing some work but it was very obvious she was following us because she thought we were potentially stealing. She continued to follow us around the remainder of the time we shopped (about 20 minutes) and then when we went to check out we needed a manager because my fiancée was an employee at a different ulta and she needed the discount, and this chick was shocked. And it was very obviously a case of profiling. We have heard this store specifically has this issue but we never experienced until yesterday. So wack.

Such nice people. They all have super friendly personalities and carry wonderful conversations with customers.

Poor customer service experience. They messed up a store-to home purchase I made in store during a promo. When I called a few days later about it they said they would look into and never got back to me. Very disappointed and bummed I did not get the product that I purchased because they messed up, now I will not repurchase that product because it is too expensive full price.

Go see Caroline! She is fantastic at cutting my hair! Wouldnt have it any other way! She is always a charm to talk to and is great at what she does!

I shop at this Ulta frequently, and love the store. This brunette girl with long hair and fair skin helped me find a skincare product that is what I’ve needed for my dry skin for so long, and a girl who has blonde short hair also helped me find a great match for foundation when I went there, despite the limitations of covid. The only problem I have with this store is I feel like I can’t browse. Browsing is usually how I find most of my new products, whether I buy them that day or later on when I’m buying someone else a gift. However, I feel like every time I’m browsing in the store the managers PERSISTENTLY ask me if I need help. I understand they may just be trying to practice good customer service, but it’s a bit excessive and just makes me want to leave the store and not look for new products that have been released. It makes me feel like they assume I am stealing which is far from the truth. I don’t mind being asked if I need help once, but usually if I do I will approach an employee and ask for assistance. If I’m asked more than once in a shopping trip I feel like they are assuming I’m stealing and it can get rather annoying. It makes me want to shop at a different location, but then I remember those two employees I mentioned earlier and they make me want to go back because of how friendly/helpful they are.

Really friendly and helpful, also the ladies in the store always have such lovely makeup on! They have a small selection of hair dye but the quality trumps the quantity!

Frandor location, I was welcomed by staff. We exchanged questions and they offered to help me with matching facial foundation colors. I found out I had two different skin tones. After applied and blended, I looked like a runway beauty and ready to attend a wedding! Thank you Ulta staff!!!

I will write a longer review after the holiday season. That said, more than one employee offered their assistance during my visit. I really appreciate how attentive they are. I was able to find what I was looking for quickly.

Really upset that I received a marketing email enticing me to buy online and pick up in store by offering a really nice looking complimentary gift set for orders over a certain amount. I promptly put in my order, hoping to pick it up the next day; however, they were out of stock of my complimentary item plus my foundation shade. I cancelled the order and submitted it online to be shipped to my house. They had all products online.

My experience was great. I received assistance right away and she helped me find what I was looking for. Check out was fast and easy, she even help me sign up for free coupons via email.

Very nice staff helped me find the mens grooming products scattered around the store. Staff also helped me sign up for the rewards program considering I do shop here often. I was please with the visit and it is in a convenient location. Only disappointment is this particular Ulta didnt carry the Anthony Products for Men line.

Such a fun store. Lots of options for men and women personal care and cosmetics. Its nice to get items as gifts here because the variety is huge. I usually find something for my kids and a small sample size that lets them test it out.

Magen gave me my first Ulta facial yesterday and she was amazing! She has the softest touch and most calming presence. I received the 30 minute multi masking facial. I highly recommend this facial and Magen!

I love Ulta Beauty but I dont care for the Frandor location. You dont get a lot of assistance in this location. You have to find people and they are not always the most helpful. They dont want to give you samples in order to test make up which I want to see the store policy on that. Foundation cost too much not to be able to test it. I spend a lot of money with Ulta so I expect better customer services. Stop acting like someone is trying to take something from you.

I never have a bad experience here. They carry my favorite parfum. Sephora does not. 👍 Helpful staff. They dont hound you throughout the store and can easily be found. Prices seem to be comparable to other shops, but their selection is greater.

Good evening,I got my hair done on Saturday February 15th at the Frandor Location in Lansing MI. I am NOT happy as I got a bolyage done and I look like a spotted dog. It’s absolutely terrible and my hair was very long when I went in. I was told 2 inches and ended up getting WAY more than that cut off. It took me over 3 years for my hair to finally grow. It isn’t cut even and I spent 265$ on my hair. I thought coming here would be great since I used Ulta for my wedding make up but unfortunately this has been the worst experience ever. I would really appreciate my money back NOT just a fix because that is so expensive for literally nothing. Not to mention I was there for 6.5 HOURS and it looks like this... I sent an email to the get help Ulta email.....

Always have a really good selection! I come here a lot. They have most brands carried by Ulta, and most exclusives in Store. I love the friendly and helpful staff and the testers they always have out! I never leave without buying something

There was one girl working there in particular that was rude. We came to her and her associate twice to ask questions since they were the nearest to the section we were in. The first time she asked my friend if she had a smart phone with a condescending tone, as if we either didnt know what one was or somehow couldnt afford one. Additionally, the whole time we were talking to her, she gave the impression that we were interrupting something important. She mentioned Amazon, Sally Beauty, and the store to door policy several times as if she was more interested in getting us away from her than helping us find something IN THE STORE IN WHICH SHE WORKS. If you work retail, you should expect questions and at least pretend to care to our faces.

Salon manager Magen is delightful! She is full of knowledge, and I highly recommend her services. If you are looking for a trustworthy stylist don’t hesitate to stop in and see her!

Amazing and caring staff! If I could I would give 1 million stars. The staff here and extremely and kind. Drew was the person who help me the most. Drew was kind enough to show me around the store and explain how the store works. Drew also helped me find the products that worked for my skin. All of the staff were extremely kind and you can really tell they love their job. I will be coming back MANY times.

Loved this Ulta.. super friendly. There was someone to help me just a row away but yes not in a stalking way. The Ultas by me everyone ignores you. And judges you from afar.. I will drive an hour just to go to this one.. Plus they carry MAC!!

I did not have a good experience due to the lack of people at the registers. I had to leave the items I was going to purchase because my husband was going to be late for a doctors appointment. One person at the register spent an abnormal amount with a customer. It appeared the customer had brought back quite a few items without a receipt and the items had been purchased several months ago. The other person at the register was way too friendly with a male customer and spent too much time visiting with him, while the checkout line grew. She actually walked away from the register with him to continue their conversation. A customer standing behind me stepped out of line, walked over to her and said she needed to get back to work.

I went in knowing I needed a new foundation but didnt know how easy it would be with Wyatts assistance. He was polite and obviously had a lot of knowledge about the products he was showing me and why theyd be a good fit. When I left the chair he shook my hand, so nice to have quality muas in an international chain. Go Wyatt!

Ive really tried to give this location a chance, however, every time I go the customer service is terrible. Ive never had someone ask if they can help me, and when I did ask for assistance today, the consultant was very rude and didnt offer any suggestions/advice for resolution of my makeup problem. Both the Okemos and West Lansing store are much more customer oriented. I will NEVER patronize this location again.

I never write reviews for anything, but my experience here has been so great I simply had to. Ive been dyeing my hair for 4 years and for much of that time went to an awful salon that damaged my hair terribly over time. Earlier this year, I ended up at this ULTA on a whim to try something new and Ive never looked back. Paige is a phenomenal stylist who does some of the most beautiful balayage work Ive ever seen and Ive never been happier with my hair. Its truly professional quality, the prices are reasonable, and they use great products that have brought back the curl and length to my hair! For the first time in years, it feels healthy and looks better. Im so thrilled I ended up coming here and I couldnt be more happy with my hair each time I come. I encourage everyone to book an appointment at this salon!

I just had a color, cut and style with Morgan, and I love the results. I have been looking for a new stylist for a while...and will be sticking with her! The Frandor store is great, it is very clean and organized.

The young woman that helped me find a good lip color was excellent. She was very sweet.

The service and products at this location are great, however I have noticed that when you ask for help, especially for foundations, the workers tend to push MAC products on you. It’s happened on 3 different occasions twice on my own once with my mom. on the last one I was looking for an equal option to what I had been using for years : Kat VOn D lock it, which is full coverage, I didn’t mind the price I just did not want to support her company anymore. I was basically taken to straight to the Mac stand, i told them I want full coverage and they sold me a foundation that is basically medium to low coverage, gets cakey when you try to build it up And you have to pay $10 extra for a pump on the bottle......the only reason I care to write this review is because I love shopping there but I really mean it when I say I DO NOT want to buy mac cosmetics (or kat von d) . I’m also still finishing this bottle of subpar overpriced foundation....Thank you !

WARNING....Made a appointment to get my hair cut by the pro elite hair stylist Magen, when I got there made small conversation with her, later I was told that she was now apparently too busy to cut my hair and that the new girl was going to be now cutting my hair even though I had just talked to Magen, I was upset and asked the girl to see if Magen could cut my hair and the girl had to come back twice with the same answer “that Magen was busy” so I hesitantly agreed to get my hair cut by this new girl, and when she was done I had never felt so mad and humiliated because she had cut my hair so bad and it looked nothing like what I had asked for, I asked to see the manager and it turned out to be Magen so not much was done.I realize that this was not the new girls fault Magen knew exactly what she was doing and she should NOT be making appointments if she isn’t going to bother actually working, THIS WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME, IF YOU WANT A GOOD HAIRCUT GO TO A DIFFERENT ULTA, THE ENTIRE STAFF IN THE SALON ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

This Ulta is a lot cleaner and more down-to-earth than a lot of other Ultas Ive been to, and the staff there seems genuinely interested in being friendly & approachable as well as helping you look and feel how *you* want to, unlike the Sephora up the road where they brush off everything you say and instead neg you to death in hopes of boosting their sales goals.Drew at the Benefit Brow Bar in particular is an absolute gift; I drive over an hour one-way every couple of weeks to see him for waxing services because hes both immensely skilled and completely meticulous about hygiene (which is always something that stresses me out in salon settings), and I am never disappointed with his work. Hes worth the trip.

Pricey!! But I have to say, the ladies r AMAZING! The staff is sweet and knowledgeable. Drew helped me til she had a brow appt then another girl that was ok but thet Clinique consultant. WOW! AMAZING! I WENT in for skin care and came out with more knowledge then I did when I entered. With what I learned I could teach a class. Lol they r awesome! I dont remember her name but she was the Clinique specialist and SHE👏WAS👏AMAZING👏. I gave 4⭐bc the prices r a bit too much for me personally.

Ok, very pricey and some of the girls on staff are awesome ( as I am a trans woman ) some of them though basically ignore me.Two things of note, I get my brows trimmed, waxed, shaped, and dyed here. Drew is really good and a charmer. Also I have never bought high end here and thought I was cheated, Loreals bang mascara as hard as it is to believe seems worth the 25-35 dollars.

I left there feeling I shouldnt have gone there in the first place because I felt very weird about the way I was treated. I had to run around and ask for assistance, and every time I did the staff were talking to me in a way that made me feel I wasnt welcome, or Im not dressed up for the store or something!! The staff didnt have any knowledge about keratin hair treatments and products and were condensing and rude. They asked me at some point if I had a smartphone!! which to me is a bit weird! Im a young woman in my 30s, of course I have a smartphone!! This was the first and last time Im going to Ulta, and I am going to stick with my Amazon prime.
