These guys are smart and have alot of knowledge. Friendly to talk to like a neighbor. They had alot of information. Even if its not electrical they will refer you to who can have it done.

My car had some electrical issues around instrument cluster. I tried other places first but they didn’t figure out the issue but this place figured out and repaired it promptly. It was a great service and fair price.

As a woman who knows ~nothing~ about cars, and has had my fair share of bad experiences I can confidently say that these guys did a wonderful job. From the initial phone call to going to driving my car home, these guys (I think I worked mostly with Brian) did a great job fixing my car, gave me fair price, and went the extra mile of showing me what was wrong with my car as well as (generally) how they fixed it. I appreciate it so much, and would visit again without hesitation.

I dont drive my car often enough and my battery kept failing. I started hunting for a shop that fixes parasitic draw. EVERY shop nearby, were intimidated at the idea of repairing, or even diagnosing, my parasitic draw. Not this shop. They gave me the straight talk about what may be causing the draw, if I even have a draw due to my own driving habits, and what I can do to prevent my battery from failing. Because of his advice, I have some clear direction, and any repair in the future, Ill take to them too!

These guys are great! I have a older vehicle that was giving me problems, the first shop I went to couldnt figure it out and recommended these guys. They worked diligently, kept me updated on the progress, and made sure that they had fixed the problem. I will definitely be returning with any future issues.

This guys were referred to me by a mechanic from wrench, because he performed a diagnostic for well over two hours and he had no clue what was wrong with my car, my car kept shutting off on my while Iwas driving and I had to turn it off and on again to get it started but soon after will happen again and before I got the diagnostic from wrench I had been to 3 others different mechanics and they all gave me different diagnostic and all were wrong, the only that came close was the wrench mechanic who told it was an electrical problem but he couldnt pin point what the problem was, here referred me to Broadway Auto Electric and they charged me a fraction of what the other guys were charging for the diagnostic and within a couple hours they told what was wrong with the car, what I needed to fix it and gave me the option of getting the part myself or them ordering it for me and the money I paid for the diagnostic was put towards the cost of the repair my car its been working great ever since, they were all very polite and friendly, I definitely recommend Broadway Auto Electric..From,A very satisfied customer

If you have a wacky electrical problem bring your car here. Ive been working on cars for years and had what I thought was a parasitic drain causing intermittent start. Turns out it was burned contacts in starter motor and weak starter signal. They added a starter relay and replaced the contacts in the starter. They didnt try to sell me a new starter. These guys can troubleshoot which is what separates the men from the apes. Im still an ape.

Only reason Im not giving 5 stars, is the diagnostic was a little pricey. But I appreciate that the cost goes towards the total cost of repairs. I dropped my car off in the morning, got it back in just a few hours in great shape. Will definitely keep this shop in mind when looking for other electrical work.

The reason I gave one Stars over the telephone he told me he could give me a price within 5 minutes after he sees the pump for my boat. So I took the bump off the boat brought it to him and hes been told me he couldnt give me a price right now I wanted to take my boat out so I went and bought a new pump for $110 2 days later he called me up and told me he would charge $127 to rebuild my pump. Haha I got a brand new one for $110 I do not recommend this place you can see that right from the moment you get there hi.

This place has always been a bit pricey but the work was solid, so it was a you pay for what you get kind of place. That was until my last two trips there. They misdiagnosed an issue that they charged me nearly $300 dollars for in which the part was $15.00!! The fix didnt work, took it back, they said its the other side now, but thats not our fault well they charged me for a fix that was never needed and wanted to charge me another 250 to do the other side now!! If its not their fault they didnt diagnose it right then whos fault is it? I also had a disconnect installed which has had issue from day one. I finally asked them to just replace it back to original, didnt ask for money back, just to fix their work and was told no, we didnt touch that this last time so we wont warranty it. I dont even know what that means, but it was time to leave before things got out of hand as i was disgusted. First time in 20 years im going to have to find a new electric shop. Sucks, and it was a costly lesson to learn, Broadway auto is a no go now.

I spoke a lot with mike whom helped me with my car. They were friendly people with amazing customer service experience. They assured me the whole time that it would be taken care of and didnt over charge me like other places have. They are a family owed business and I would recommend they to anyone

If you have an alternator, a starter, a generator, a stator, or some other electrical part that you need, these guys have it. And their pricing is surprisingly reasonable. Even hard to find parts. And if you need service, they do great work. Highly recommend.

I went to Broadway Auto electric for an issue with the electric in my dash panel not lighting up. They did a perfect job and even replaced the batteries in my car key lock without me asking and I really appreciated that!

If you have electrical problems with your car, there is NO OTHER SHOP in San Diego that knows more about this type of repair than Broadway Auto Electric. Dont go anywhere else, there is no shop anywhere close as good as this shop period!

I went in with a starter for my heavy duty box truck. I was quoted $250.00 to Rebuild my starter. The price was reasonable, and the work was done within a reasonable amount of time. The next day I picked up the starter, had it installed, and went on my merry way.85 days later, the starter began malfunctioning. I had to be towed home ($140.00 for a truck this size). I paid a mobile mechanic $50.00 to remove the starter. I took it back to them, and they gave it back to me five minutes later saying it passes the bench test.I got upset and said I am not imagining the problem. The bendix is staying engaged, and trying to start the truck on its own. In the process it is draining both my batteries (replaced both by the way at a cost of $230.00 due to this problem).They took it in the back again. I heard some machining going on, and they gave it back to me 15 minutes later with some lame description of the problem. Of course, this does nothing to help with my lost wages, costs for tows, mechanics and batteries. I had it re-installed (another $50.00) and went on my way.Now two weeks later the problem is repeating itself......!!!!!!Another mechanic fee and another tow. This time I took it to another electrical shop. They let me know the starter was never really rebuilt in the first place. He said they replaced the bushings, cleaned it up and nothing else.THIEVES!!!!I am in the process of getting it rebuilt correctly, but the turnaround for the ineptness of Broadway Auto Electric is going to cost me around $1800.00 after I account for all the tows, mechanic fees and lost wages.We will be having a conversation for sure, and possible legal action will follow.Stay AWAY!! I am not making this stuff up!!

Do not go to this place... They call themeselves an electric shop. I called the guy for an estimate on a Vw BUG that definitely has a lot of wiring problems like lights dont work and pops fuses and turns off when you turn off the lights. I told him that I bought a new wiring harness made for my bug. That also brings instructions and the full schematic with correct wiring instructions. He said that even if he replaced the wiring harnnes it would still be having the same issues so I asked him how will that happen if he has the full instructions and schematic and he said he doesnt read the schematic he just replaces the wiring. How can you call yourselves an electric shop and not even be able to replace a wiring harness the right way by looking at the schematic so that you can fix all the issues. Just so you know... Broadway electric shop if you were to replace the whole wiring harness the way the schematic tells you to all issues would be fixed. Because the schematic is made to put the wiring in the correct place :) have a great day.
