Boats for sale without prices are useless, if you don’t know how much you paid for them, and therefore you don’t know how much to sell them for, should probably find a new line of business!!

Our entire process from sales, options, and information before the actual buying process was no pressure, professional, and made simple. My wife and I were looking at tritoon boats in December 2020 and January 2021. I called and spoke with Clint Riether about what Marine Max had in stock. Not exactly what we were looking for but we went to see the boats they did have. Clint showed us several boats and never pressured us in any way. It was a nice “fact gathering” visit that allowed us to see what we liked and what we could live without. Several weeks later Clint reached out with more new models in stock. Based on our previous visit we already knew exactly what we wanted and Marine Max had several sitting on their lot. I made an offer over the phone without going in. The very next morning Clint called to say our offer was accepted. The entire process went forward on “cruise control” with no hiccups or surprises. When we went to pick up the boat the process was great. It’s been about 2 months and I am still waiting to get the boat on the water for the first time since the original sea trial but I would not hesitate to recommend Clint and Marine Max for your boating needs. I have not used the service department yet but if my sales experience is any indication I will be pleased with the service after the sale.

We purchased our pontoon from Marine Max rather than Bennington because they convinced us their service was much better. They picked up our boat for maintenance and some repairs, in January and while in their boatyard, the stereo amp was stolen along with a number of other boats’ amps. It appears they don’t have strong security. They FINALLY returned our boat at the end of May, 4 months later for Memorial weekend, and returned it with a dead battery, so we weren’t able to use it after them having it all that time. Not at all satisfied customers! The boat is great, but Do mot buy a boat there if they sell you on their “service”

The guys at Marine Max are the best! They are friendly and extremely helpful. The parts department is full of awesome accessories that I would never have thought of, but are perfect for a long day out on the lake. Everyone guided me in the right direction without being pushy. Quick and painless shopping leaving me excited to get back in the water as soon as possible. I can’t wait to buy my next dream boat there!

They were able to get the captains orientation scheduled for the next day, and delivery to my lake house an hour and a half away the day after that. Received a quote for a 45% markup on a boat (above the manufacturers suggested retail) AND they thought not to tell me about the 2.5k rebate offered from the manufacturer (even after asking)... Our boat was put into the shop in January for some minor body work - which was part of an IOU from the purchase of the boat. It took 4 trips back to get the boat fixed to satisfactory condition. After we finally got the boat back In in March, Marine Max had winterized the boat - even though we had already done so. First trip out was cut short due to an alarm going off and back to the shop we went. Here we are the end of June and they still have not fixed the boat. Marine Max has had our boat for 6 months now.

This is a nice boat dealership! The Harris pontoons are insanely cool pontoons! The sales rep we spoke with, Scott, was very nice and knowledgeable! We are still deciding what pontoon boat to buy, but this dealership and the quality of the Harris pontoon makes them a top contender.

I purchased my boat from Scott over 3 years ago. You would figure after all that time you would not be important anymore. After all Im not looking to buy a new boat. Thats not true of Scott. I have called numerous times about the boat (nothing serious just new boater questions) and Scott has always answered my questions and if he couldnt he got an answer for me. He never fails to call you back on any issue, no matter how trivial. Ive not had any maintenance problems in that time so it speaks highly of the Harris boat they sell. Final thought. If youre in the market for a new or used boat go to Marine Max and ask for Scott. Youll be treated fairly and he will always assist after the sale.

Bought my first boat here, they agreed to fix several things, I take it back for very minor repair, it took four trips at 70 miles each way, pick up 2, and 3 I pointed the problem out specifically to the service guy, at trip 3 he said he would watch the repair personally, start the repair Monday, I asked how long would it take to be ready this time, he said by the weekend, I wait two weeks, thinking someone would call me and let me know it was ready for pickup, mistake!!!, so I call and ask, is my boat ready?? I told you it would be ready by the next Friday, said they would detail it for me, on the fourth trip to pick it up, I agree to take it home, I’m looking over the detail job, terrible detail job!! I pull around to see what’s taking so long and they are scrambling to clean missed spots!! Dealing with the service department at MarineMax Dallas is the worst experience I have ever had. They cant even prepare a boat for the summer and get it right. Asked them to check the batteries and one of the two did not work when we got out on the lake. Turned on the water pump and all we got was a pink liquid I am sure was antifreeze. Work order stated tire pressure was checked and every trailer tire was 20 lbs low. Ive called and talked to people in the service department and the GM, and no one will call me back about my complaint. This is not the exception, it is the rule with MarineMax. if you dont want constant frustration in your life, dont do business with MarineMax!

I came here to buy a new Searay back in 2009. I called couple days ago to locate the boat title. One of the finance guys tried to help and said he would need to call me back on that. He never called back. I also left a voice mail and a note with the help of the front receptionist. Never heard back from him. I guess they are only enthusiastic when you come to buy.

After purchasing my boat they have stood behind the sale and kept all their delivery promises, couldnt be happier. Chris in sales and Keith in parts have been great!

Hours on the window said 1 to 4 on Sundays. We were there at 3:30 and they were closed. I guess I will buy a boat elsewhere.

This was possibly the worst buying experience Ive ever had. My first test ride on a boat I placed a deposit on was cut short because the boat was full of water, which they hadnt drained and didnt bring a wrench to remove the plug. My second test ride was cut short after the boat stalled multiple times because of bad seals on two access plugs. Finally on my third test ride, we had to wait for someone to drop off a drain plug to us at the boat ramp because it was missing and they didnt check it before leaving the shop. After my second test ride, the salesman asked for full payment so they could close the sale before the end of the month! I only bought the boat because of the great price. Everything else was disasterous. I will never buy anything from them again and will be telling all of my friends to never consider buying a boat from them.
