I have rented this space for three years with the price going up from $75 a month to finally a notice that it was going up to $144. I went in to remove the contents of my photography business props and other business items that were neatly stored off the floor only to find that large rats have destroyed everything. They literally ate my baskets, and left feces everywhere which results in me having to throw away EVERYTHING! I contacted Tameka Cole and while she was very nice and sympathetic, referred me to the District Manager who stated they had rodent boxes to help with the infestation but there was nothing they would do because I didnt purchase their insurance. I would have to file a claim under my homeowners. This is unacceptable that I am paying this company to store my items that were destroyed by rodents. Do NOT use this storage facility!

I’m so glad I found this storage facility. It’s convenient to my house and I feel very safe leaving all of my equipment here. The Manager, Tameka Cole, brings even more value to the storage facility. She is always friendly and always willing to assist in anything I seem to need help with. I did have some concerns about the new addition to the facility but Ms. Cole, spoke with me and listen to all my questions and brought my mind to ease about all my concerns!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! I rented a 10x20 from Jan 2021 to July 2021. First they randomly hiked their rent up an increase of $20 extra each month all of a sudden after 2 months and claimed it was to help pay to paint the units and expand! WTH! Why should I give you more money so you can make more money.They also have a SEVERE RAT/Mice problem. I didn’t know this until I moved all of my stuff out and saw they had ruined all of my furniture and beds. (Pics below) I just happen to throw poison in on one occasion or I’m sure it would have been worse. You can also see that water had also somehow got in there and ruined what the mice/rats didn’t get a hold of.

Not exactly what I wanted for the price that I’m paying. I searched climate controlled units but wasn’t offered one. The unit size I wanted was available but advised it probably wouldn’t be large enough so I ended up getting a larger one without being offered the “online price”. Other than that, the facility appears decent.

STAY AWAY!!!!! Worst experience ever!!!!! Was assured I would have a unit for my needs when I called several weeks before our move, since online booking only allowed 1 week max advance reservation. Was notified 24 hours before I was scheduled to arrive and told that they no longer had a large unit available for me. Only option I had was to purchase 2 smaller units to fit everything which was nearly double the price. Was also told numerous times that the facility and units were 18-wheeler accessible. Found out the hard way the morning the truck arrived to deliver to my units that it was NOT in fact accessible for the 18-wheeler. Instead of providing any assistance whatsoever during the fiasco I was faced with, the associate told me there were no more units available and that they would not be able to refund me what they had already charged me. Ben at Midgard Self Storage 3 miles down the road saved the day. DO NOT waste your time or money with Storage Rentals of America in Lexington - go to Midguard instead!!!!

After only 5 months I get a notice informing me my rate is increasing by $14.00 a month. No reason for this increase and no reason given.. Bad business.

This is my second month using the facility and previously had many issues. This month thanks to Tameka my negative view was turned positive. She was polite, helpful and concerned to make sure all my needs were met. She also assure me that things would get better and informed me on new updated about the location.

Absolutely horrible. Very few lights are operational on the rows (extremely dangerous), my spouse twisted her ankle due to not being able to see the raised concrete edge of the storage unit The roll-up door is off the track, the slide for the lock is so rusted it will close properly I have advised management of the above issues on multiple occasions and yet nothing is done. The above scenarios are absolutely unacceptable. Someone is going to get seriously injured.

Worst facility Ive ever dealt with. 10 times in 3 months I couldnt get into my unit costing me thousands of dollars. Paid extra for 24 hour access and couldnt get into my unit in the middle of the day. Door says opens at 9am no one showed up until 11. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go.

We had our stuff here. Emphasis on had. A lot of my stuff was stolen. What kind of storage place doesnt have cameras? Gaps in the storage units too? Nope. Not a good place to put your stuff. Please dont come here.

Salt of the earth people. Military-friendly. Very helpful, asked questions to make sure they had all bases covered. Check in was easy. The staff lives right on the property so if there are any emergency issues during closed hours, she can assist. Great experience! I know I’m leaving my belongings in good hands.

Knocked then down a star. I have been okay with them. But, theyve raised my rent every year to wrar its no longer feasable to continue. Started out @ $99 five years ago. Now its $167. Not happy about this at all. I still rate them for their security and upkeep. Fees/rent too ridiculous now. Will move out soon.
