This location was clean and organized and had plenty of staff available to help. I was quickly greeted when I walked through the door. I was looking for a simple nail file and they escorted me straight to the location. I also looked at a couple other things and ended up purchasing a nail file. Good job for being one of the most organized stores in the location.

I purchased an Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. Upon opening it was kinda dry and thick but it was my first time purchasing. It didn’t last long at all which seemed strange considering it’s pretty expensive. Went back and purchased again from this location. Same thing, same consistency and I was cutting the tube to get it out pretty soon thereafter. Then I happened to be in Ann Arbor at their Ulta and bought it again. This time it’s completely different. The texture is a bit more wet and there’s so much in the tube!! I can’t believe the difference.I have no clue why they’re different but it’s totally suspect.

Rachel was amazing! She took time to listen to my concerns and cut my hair the way I asked her too. Will go back for future cuts with Rachel.

The staff here is very knowledgeable and quickly helped me find what I was looking for and guided me towards the best products. Admittedly they are somewhat overpriced but its one of my favorite makeup shops to go to!

They person who did my hair she is really nice and good at her job, I think her name starts with N for sure.

Long lines, I mean VERY long lines be prepared, wear comfortable shoes and a back brace might help too with the lower back pain you will endure while STANDING in line for over 35 minutes! Not kidding this was not a holiday season or anything just a random Saturday first week of March, and the line reached close to the back of the store and they only had 2 ladies running registers!! However, the benefit rep lady I forgot her name she was amazing! Helped me get what I need in less than 5 minutes.

Outstanding service. Very helpful! I went in for a product that is not in stores, but they offered to order it and send it to my house. Very nice and helped explain other products. I highly recommend them no matter what you are looking for. Oh, and they were very concious of mask wearing and lots of floor decals to help with social distancing!

Word of advice you should let your black customers shop in peace like you do the white ones. Minute I walked in the door all eyes on me. I walked to the shampoo to see if they had the one I use this sale associate walked passed a store full of people just to find me and ask do I need help. No I dont need help I tell her what Im looking for she couldnt even help she had to call to the back! Like see leave me alone I can read Im a faithful ulta shopper from store to online. I was going to but the other shampoo I needed but after that I just left do better will never come to this location again. Some more training should be done!

Yesterday I went to get my hair done for the first time in a long time and long story short the color was messed up. I contacted Ulta customer service and they emailed me an apology, letting me know they would be in contact with me, and thismorning the manager at Ulta called me. I was not only able to get my hair fixed but they gave me a full refund, my hair is gorgeous! The GMgr also gave me a cute little super pack with some essentials. The stlyist who re-did my hair was very polite, and worked very fast. They also do eyebrow wax and styles, I had mine done too.

How challenging it must be to work where customers usually get to sample colors and fragrances to make sure they find what they want, but right now, they cant. Yet the team members here are not only helpful, theyre cheerful and they work hard to help shoppers have a positive experience despite restrictions. I regret not remembering her name, but the associate who assisted me was not only attentive, she knew the store and the products and was able to both make recommendations and help me find what I was looking for. When it came to matching a product to my skin tone, she was spot on (we couldnt test a sample in store due to COVID restrictions). I always appreciate associates who understand that our skin has different needs as we age, and they know which companies have the best products for the different stages of skin care and make-up. The staff are following protocols, wearing masks and enforcing distancing, etc.

Went here Friday to get my eyebrows waxed and filled in! I’ve literally never had better work ! Dolyn has to be a magician on the side cause WOW ! She did AMAZING!! She made me feel comfortable and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized everything right in front of me...I told her what I wanted and she delivered beyond that ! I will definitely be back in another week !

Staff not super attentive.

I went there for a haircut today, and I have to say... I was SO amazed and impressed with how everything was done. Madison did an AMAZING job with cutting my hair exactly how I wanted, and made sure that everything was good for me! She made me feel SO comfortable, and I really felt like I belonged. Past experiences made me feel nervous about getting my hair cut again, but I will MOST DEFINITELY come back and get my hair cut by her, every time, from now on!

Loud alarm beeping going off throughout store. Very irritating. Bought a nail polish for 10.50. Went next door to Marshalls and found the exact same polish for 3 dollars. Returned the overpriced polish to ulta. Wont shop at Ulta again, very overpriced.

I recently had my brows done by Susan at the Livonia (Middlebelt) location. She was AMAZING! Knowledgeable, kind, great listener- just all around awesome! I will definitely be back to see her. The sales associate that helped me was April- she was great as well. Answered all my questions and helped me sample products. I was a bit miffed that they were out of several things I wanted in store and online, I will still be back. I love that Ulta!

Great place to go for makeup newbies tell them what you do know about your skin and youre good to go. Now there are different items that can get pretty pricey but let them know where you want to be and theyll do their best. They have a member reward program however you may have to purchase quite a bit to get benefits

Last time I went here I was bummed because they were out of the Morphe face powder in the shade I was looking for. An employee noticed I was looking for something and came right over to offer assistance, looked in the back for me and when they still didn’t have it in stock she helped me pick a shade from what they did have in stock and I actually love it more than the shade I was using. I love this Ulta.

Terrible customer service, would not shop at this location again.I placed an online order to be picked up curbside and when I picked it up, one of my items was not in the bag. I asked an employee what happened and she said the item was out of stock. I asked her if she could go in the store and get another color, we could have even picked a color online, and she could have went in the store to see if they had it, but she said no, I have to place the order online again, plus make me wait again.So make me place another online order, wait, and that color may have been out of stock too.This employee could have graciously went above and beyond, there aren’t even customers in the store, so she had plenty of time.

Ulta is the kind of place that has it all for beauty. Plus they have a salon. I can find make-up, hair care products and plenty more. I love the Cliniqe skin care. Its the best stuff for your skin. I have a hard time leaving!

Sharon at the Benefit brow bar is amazing!!!!! I brought my 18 year old daughter with a very light complexion in to have her brows tinted, and we were blessed to have Sharon do them, she is a truly talented and gifted lady. She made my daughters brows the perfect shade, they are so natural and clean looking. Sharon explained every step along the way making us comfortable. She shared many beauty tips with us. Had my hair done for the first time there this weekend and had the BEST experience. I first scheduled with Lori and she was honest and up front telling me she was not an expert with short hair and recommended her manager Julia and rescheduled me that day. I came back later and Julia did a BOMB job with cut and highlights....i have had such amazing compliments. They are my new salon!!! Worth every penny.. Thanks guys you were the best..even went out of their way to accommodate my 5yr old I had with me...single moms can much appreciate!!❤💚💜💙

My fiancé and I come here for hair and an eyebrow wax. Julia does a great job with men’s hair, it’s always perfect. Susan is PHENOMENAL when it comes to brow waxing. She’s patient and explains what the shape of your eyebrows should be based on your eye shape. She’s extremely thorough and just a great personality. So far I’ve had three sessions with Susan and my eyebrows have grown to be more fuller in certain areas and I’m so happy with them. If you want someone who will ensure you’re happy with your eyebrows then book with Susan!

I am a faithful shopper to Ulta but not at this location because of the color of my skin I was watched time I entered the store the manager approached me and asked if she could help I said no I knew I was looking for the cheapest cologne for a gift since I am partial blind I looked at package for long time and placed in my basket the manager stopped helping another customer to scream across at me saying don’t take sticker off products and when I said I wasn’t she apologized and continued to follow me around store I never in my life felt so belittled, harassed, embarrassed, humiliated, this is unacceptable and I will be proceeding to contact corporate the color of my skin does not define me

Out of all the Ultas in Southeast Michigan, this location has the best staff. Staff seems genuinely interested in their jobs, and in helping the customers find what theyre looking for. Theyre also great at pointing out sales and discounts and free with purchase gifts. Ultas customer service has really gone downhill over the years, but Im glad to know that this particular location still has staff that care and take pride in their job.

If my wife is in full glam makeup the staff is amazing. Today we went in and she had on no makeup and was completely ignored. She was so embarrassed she had me make the purchace for her.

I thought it was just me, but I realized after visiting A FEW Ulta Stores, it is NOT ME!!!!Every time I visit one of the Ulta stores, I am treated with no respect and ignored by VERY UNFRIENDLY STAFF!!!! This happens to me EVERY TIME and EVERY TIME I leave with nothing and go directly to Sephora’s or shop online for what I need!!!!!Yesterday made me write this review. I asked one of the staff if they had “fake eyelashes and could you help me with them because I am not familiar with them....”. She looked at me and said (with her finger pointed at a direction... “over there on that side...” and walked away. This was AFTER another staff walked away from me. I stood there in disbelief and it was apparent they didn’t want my business!Perhaps it is the way I look? Perhaps I am not good enough to spend my money at their stores??????? Maybe I don’t fit into their type of clientele?????I went to their store directly after my appointment with my stylist (photo of me attached, right after my hair appointment and right before my visit to Ulta) At my stylist, we were talking about “false eyelashes” and they suggested I go there, buy a pair and try them before I need to wear them for my daughter’s wedding.Never EVER again will I step into another Ulta store! If I could give them -5, I would! Too bad Ulta Management don’t read these reviews. They need to retrain their staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I will only visit the location in allen park from now on. At least there, they acknowledge you, greet you, smile, etc.Extremely poor customer service. I said helli upon walking in and not 1 employee responded...nothing. They all looked and acted like they were constipated or something. They all need to be re trained.

Ultra is a great store. However, this is not a great location. My wife went to this location and could not get a single employee to help her. Ultra is not normally like that. She waited in line for assistance. When it was her turn the employees left the counter. At another point she asked for help and the employee called over her to speak to another customer behind her. My wife came home and told me I think they ignored me because I am white. Fortunately for us, we live closer to another location.

Store is always clean, employees are extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the products. The coupons are always helpful.

This is my play store and candy store. I love trying new products and getting ideas from associates. Although you dont seem to have the employee/ratio to clients. But this is my sanctuary, my bliss and my moment of zen.

The worst haircut of my life occurred at this very location of this upscale salon. Apparently if you can not cut hair, you still get a license and you have a job waiting for you at ULTA! Beware! I only go there for my eyebrows, Sharon is the best technician ever!!!! Ive been waxing my eyebrows for over 20 years and sharon is the best no one has ever done such an excellent job before on me. Ultas pricing is high but she is worth every penny and Ill follow her anywhere.

Three different occasions I could have been a ghost in the store because no one was helpful and this last visit when I asked for help, the woman just pointed me to aisle and walked away. I will forever stay at Sephora where customers are greeted and assisted with a smile!

Five stars because there was a really sweet store associate that I enjoyed. NO stars because there was an associate who was extremely rude and unprofessional. My friend was trying to find me a liquid lipstick that matches my lip color (the whole reason why we went into the store was to purchase one). We found one that was perfect, but they were out. This particular associate came up and asked if we needed help. We asked if they had any of that color because theres drawers underneath with more product (we have friends who work at beauty stores). She rudely just said no we dont. Didnt bother to look or explain why and walked off. Then I told my friend I needed a concealer. While my friend was doing my make up so I could see which one I wanted (it was between 2) the same associate came up and told us that they dont allow customers to do full faces of make up without buying anything in an extremely rude manner. It made my friend extremely uncomfortable and really upset me. She could have done her job and helped with recommendations to try to UPSELL (because yes I was already set on buying) or offer solutions to the items I wanted that were out of stock. Honestly it made me want to tell her nevermind and that I didnt want to purchase anything anymore, but my friend convinced me otherwise. Never has anyone done something so unprofessional at OTHER beauty stores.

Im giving one star, because not giving stars is an option. This ulta is less than a mile from my house, so its convenient to go there, but I prefer driving to literally ANY other location. I thought it was just me being picky, until I came and read some of the reviews about how awful the staff is. Never in my life have I been treated so awful, repeatedly, in a place where I spend that much money. From now on Ill drive the extra 15 minutes. Garbage store, garbage employees.

If youre someone who knows all about makeup and knows what youre looking for, this might be the place for you. If youre like me and have no idea what youre doing but know that you want to do more or better, Id suggest going somewhere else. The store is bright and clean but the layout is chaotic. Rows go all different directions in an attempt to give it a high end look but ends up just feeling claustrophobic. I went in for one item. I wandered for ten minutes with clearly confused look on my face and passed at least five staff members in different groups in the store who were just standing around talking. None offered to help me. When I finally asked for help they seemed surprised to actually notice the person that had passed by them three times. I was shown to an aisle and then abandoned without a word. I left without purchasing anything and doubt Ill be back.

I love Ulta but this store is the WORST! Theyre always out of products, and their samples are always so messy and broken. I went in today for a few items that qualified for a free gift. When the cashier didnt add the free gift with my purchase I asked if they were out of stock and she rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. She then proceeded to look behind the counter for the free gift and said were all out, I kindly asked if I could come back with my receipt when they got more in since the offer runs until 4/7, and many Ultas offer you to come back, this one did once as well. The girl said um... No and then asked another cashier if they had any more and confirmed that they were out. The cashier that was helping me had such an attitude about it and responded with right thats what I just told this girl. Im so appalled at the so called customer service at this location. The employees on the floor were extremely helpful but when it came to check out it was a whole different atmosphere. I spend a lot of money at Ulta and to be treated rudely for asking about getting my free gift for the amount I was spending, and then being made to feel like I was wasting the cashiers precious time had, I knew it was time to stop coming to this location. This store lost out on an additional $60 that I was willing to spend with my purchase. This is not how you treat customers. Thankfully I was able to get my items online WITH my free gift, no hassle at all. Corporate needs to come into this location and straighten the team out.
