I had an appoint to discuss my current hearing aids and had them adjusted.Everything was timely and efficient.We discussed new technology and I am thinking of getting the a new pair later this year.Ben has been helpful in guiding me through this process.

Both of my parents just had an appointment at Sound Advice Audiology today. Everyone in the office was so incredibly kind and helpful. Carrie at the front desk was amazing! She helped with getting my parents an appointment and helped with my parents insurance. Ben treated my parents as if they were his parents. He cleaned both of their ears out and even fixed my Dads old hearing aid until his new one comes in. He is extremely knowledgeable and gave my parents several options to choose from. If I could give more than five stars I would. Best customer service ever!!!

I have been to sound advice for about a year now coming from another place I have been a part of for all my hearing needs over 30 years I went last year for first time have worked with both Ben and Becky both have been great at listening to my concerns and needs and Ben is awesome has taken the time and we have worked a lot in trying find me a new hearing aide over last year that works with my profound hearing loss and everyone there is nice and courteous to me and the place is very clean and modern. Great place and people like Ben !

I visited Sound Advice Audiology while traveling in Michigan. They were able to fit me in quickly and easily, accepted cash payments (because I have out of state insurance), and my visit was fast and helpful. The team follows COVID protocols, remained masked and had excellent social distancing. Dr. Ben was a magician and restored my impacted hearing before it was time for me to get back on a flight. I couldnt have asked for a more seamless first-time experience with an audiologist.

After reading reviews here, I confirmed our choice of using Sound Advice for an elderly family member with her doctor and he agreed it was the place to go for hearing testing and advice for equipment. We worked with Hannah C. who was very patient working with my aunt who is experiencing the start of some dementia. Hannah was very clear and appropriately paced in her explanations to my aunt and did a great job informing us of the test results, our options, and how the initial steps of using a hearing device would work. There was never any pressure about which path to take when deciding whether or not to use equipment or what kind. I do feel that the interactions and care that we had today matched the five star reviews I read, which brought me there.

I recently brought my mother in to get a hearing test. Rebecca took care of her. Initially my mother was not comfortable with doing this but she was put very much at ease in the situation and was so happy to be getting it done. I found Rebecka to be very thorough and professional as I am in a line of work that requires the same thing. I thought she did an excellent job covering all the bases, being kind and understanding. You know when someone loves their job when they do it so well. So I am very thankful for a positive experience being I have been trying to get my mom to do this for so long. The entire staff was very kind as well.

Office staff was very professional with my first phone call. They were very accommodating with an appointment. The audiologist, Ben, was great. We talked about what my goals were for my visit. He explained the testing as we progressed through the different phases. Once testing was complete, Ben clearly explained in simply terms my test results. He then took time to thoroughly explain and walk me though all the options to improve my hearing and recommended what he thought would work best for me. There was no pressure to purchase any products. Ben was very caring and truly showed an interest. I would highly recommend him and Sound Advice Audiology for your hearing needs.

I have used this business for 2 sets of hearing aids and through 2 sets of owners. I like that they have a variety of companies to choose from and trial periods. I have trialed a pair returned them and then trialed another 2 until I found the one that worked best in conferences. I also like that the wait time to get in is much shorter than the hospital clinic.

As an engineer and a hearing aid user of almost 40 years, I have visited many offices and worked with many audiologists. I have had good experiences and bad experiences, but never a GREAT experience until just recently. I contacted seven different audiologists in hopes of purchasing new hearings, and decided to go with Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology in Livonia. Anyone that deals with hearing loss, be it mild, profound or anything between, knows that communication skills, critical-thinking, compassion and probably most importantly, patience is needed when dealing with such challenges.I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism that greeted me at the front door by the Office Manager to the time, transparency and care that Dr. Wightman showed me through the entire process of purchasing new hearing aids.Of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice Audiology had access to all of the brands and models of devices, they didn’t push any one brand on me, like several of the other offices did, Dr. Wightman had device suggestions based on my testing, but explained that he is not in the business of selling hearing aids, but in the business of giving me the best chance of successfully utilizing what hearing I have left. Also, Sound Advice had the longest trial period of the offices that I contacted. They allow for a 30-day trial, not 2-weeks as the other offices limit you to. Two weeks is not long enough for your brain to acclimate to the new sounds that you are hearing or the old sounds that you are hearing differently with new technology. Even at that, Sound Advice is flexible with the trial period. Probably, the most important thing that I can state confidently, of the seven places that I contacted, Sound Advice had the least EXPENSIVE prices for hearing aids and their repairs. They beat the lowest quote that I obtained elsewhere by $1,200! Everybody knows that hearing aids are not cheap!So my recommendation to anyone looking for a professional office of an audiologist that has affordable, compassionate and patient care that is willing do whatever it takes to make you make the most of your challenges… look no farther than Dr. Ben Wightman Au.D. of Sound Advice Audiology with offices in Livonia and Farmington Hills. Dr. Ben is an oasis in a desert of despair for tinnitus sufferers. After seeing 3 ENTs which were no help and only exacerbated the condition with comments like its chronic or you learn to live with it. I started doing my own research and came across Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT), the work of Pawel J. Jastreboff. It was life changing. I immediately started to search for an audiologist in my area that was familiar with this training. I emailed Dr. Ben from his website and his responded promptly. After my first appointment, I knew I found the right person to help me. He had been through Jastreboffs training and understood tinnitus condition and the journey to retraining my brain to make tinnitus no longer an issue. Sound Advice is a Sound Decision for those with hearing issues and especially for those suffering from tinnitus.

There is so much that I can say about my experience. I was considering and praying for options to my hearing loss and the Baha 5 Cochlear implant. I was led to Sound Advice. From the beginning Ben was open and welcoming and empathetic to my frustration. He assured me that he would be able to help me and he has. My new Phonak bidirectional hearing aids are absolutely the most wonderful thing that has happen regarding my hearing loss. I was growing to resent the Baha 5 and took it off whenever I could, with the Phonak hearing aids I wear them until I go to bed. I can even fall asleep on the sofa with them on!! Like I said there is so much I could say but let me end here. Great staff, great work, great experience!
