We just bought our very first log cabin, we needed log jam desperately due to prior owners not taking proper care of the log home. Well, we got this delivered and while it could have been a shipping problem, they took this back and never sent a new one and filed a claim with the shipping company. And we are SOL...This was a time sensitive product needed. And now we dont have it and have to wait for it to be shipped from PERMACHINK who provides better customer service.

TITLE: GOLD STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE-THE STAIN DEPOTThe Cabot Australian Timber Oil deck sealer I purchased on Amazon turned out to be perhaps my most interesting experience ever with Amazon. On Thursday, June 25, I ordered 5 gallons of the Cabot deck sealer. I must admit I was somewhat astonished when I received a notice from UPS on June 26 that the Cabot sealer would be delivered by 9:00 pm on that day. However, the sealer did not arrive on June 26, and on Saturday, June 27, I received another notice from UPS that the sealer would be delivered Monday June 29. On June 29 I received another UPS notice that the sealer would be delivered by 3:00 pm on that day. About 3:00 pm I received yet another UPS notice saying delivery would be by 9:00 pm on June 29. About 9:00 pm on June 29 I received a UPS notice saying the sealer had been delivered to my garage. When I checked there was indeed a 5 gallon black plastic bucket beside my garaged door with a UPS label inside a plastic sleeve taped to the top indicating this shipment was from The Stain Depot in Livonia, MI for delivery to my Tennessee address. The problem was there was no other label on the bucket indicating what was inside(I mean absolutely none). I did not open the container. Instead I went online about 9:15 pm to describe my problem to Amazon and sent a message to the seller (The Stain Depot). About 9:45 pm on the same evening I received a reply from the seller saying something was wrong because they do not sell product in plastic containers. After exchanging several messages with seller (The Stain Depot), I was called by Andrea representing the seller. Andrea explained that something had gone terribly wrong. She said that the product that I received did not come from The Stain Depot, and furthermore they do not have any products in their warehouse in plastic buckets. Andrea said they would ship me another order that would be the product I ordered. The Stain Depot contacted UPS who emailed me a claim report on 6/30/2020, which I completed and returned by 11:00 am on that date. UPS picked up the unlabeled 5 gallon black plastic bucket by 1:00 pm on that same day. On 07/02/2020, I received the 5 gallon metal bucket of Cabot Australian Tiber Oil that I ordered on June 25, 2020. The product was packaged in a secure box. The Stain Depot demonstrated the best customer service I have ever experienced. In my original communication with The Stain Depot as an Amazon seller, they assured me that they would make this right, and they did just that! I still do not know where the 5 gallon plastic bucket came from, and I am surprised that UPS would have on a truck a 5 gallon plastic bucket containing a liquid with no labeling.

I paid $45 for a new quart of Sikkens from The Stain Depot storefront on Amazon. I received an OLD EMPTY SAMPLE CAN with a homemade label. I was informed that this item is non-refundable.BUYER BEWARE. The Stain Depot IS NOT SELLING NEW ITEMS. They are selling empty cans.

I live in Grand Rapids and found out they were local, but over 2 hours away. Ordered Sikkens Srd 085 Teak stain from them after calling local stores that only carried a few colors. They had all of the colors in stock. I ordered at 4:00 and received my stain the next day in mid afternoon. It was boxed extremely well and I was able to start quicker than I thought.

If you install garapa wood for any external flooring purpose I strongly suggest you apply ipe wood oil immediately after construction is complete. Brush, blow, or wipe away any foreign debris from the surface and oil your deck before use. Make sure you have some cool dry weather in the forecast; apply. Then I would leave your surface alone for a few days. Honestly, you will love the lush rust color the oil brings out of the wood. The stain Depot delivers product quickly; have it on hand to apply when your job is done and optimal weather arrives. Do follow the warnings on the can.

Website was easy to navigate. I found what I thought I needed, emailed to confirm because there was a slight name difference from what I had on my can from a few years ago. The customer service was quick and extremely helpful and tweaked my selection so I got the right stuff. My order shipped out right away and product was as described, exactly what I needed. AVOID! I ordered $1,400 worth of stain that arrived damaged (no packaging at all!!!!) 2 weeks ago and I am still yet to see a full refund. There isnt anyone picking up the phone which should be a give away, and the person who replies to emails never states his/her name.

Really impressed with this company. I ordered 5 gall stain and some brushes. Arrived the next day but was missing one brush. Emailed the company. Offered replacement, no questions asked. Even replied multiple times over the weekend. Excellent customer service!

Wonderfully packaged and safe shipping - however, note: they charge a 25% restock fee even on unopened items and you ship it back, or even drive the product to their store. Few bucks attempted to save vanished... would have been cheaper and easier to go with Amazon where return shipping and restock is free. (Since this post - the owner has edited their return policy on their website with bigger font - thank you for editing your website so buyers arent caught unaware).

TWP came next day. Came in perfect shape. Boxed very well. Will order from them again. Decided to have them wash and stain deck. The project was to large for me to tackle since I was called back to work. Will review once completed.

Poor Customer Service. The Stain Depots on-line calculator estimated (7) gallons for wet on wet application so I ordered 8 to be safe. However, less than the one (5) gallon container was required. I needed to return the remaining (3) gallons. - They charged me a RE-Stocking Fee plus the return shipping that I needed to pay. I repeat POOR Customer Service. NOT Worth any savings that their pricing may imply. GO some where else!!!- Dan

They built a Trex deck for me and I talked to them about stain for my deck up North. They recommended Ready Seal and I had it shipped to my house at no charge. This will most likely be the last time we stain the deck on our cottage. The Trex deck is so beautiful and the maintenance is really a hassle for our place. Great customer service.

I called The Stain Depot to see if they stocked Ready Seal. They had tons of inventory of the color that I was trying to find. I have a cottage up North and wanted to use this product on my fence. I was able to find it at Home Depot years ago and they do not carry it in this area. The price was actually less than Home Depot.

Needed Sikkens stain for my house. I called 3 or 4 places for 30 gallons. Found them online and they were down the street from my house. I called and they told me to come in if I wanted to pick up from the warehouse. I came a few hours later and it was ready. They had pallets of each color. This is the place to go if you are looking for Sikkens stain.
