Came to Mavis tire to see about rotors did not have the right amount to pay for the rotor. Salesman Rick help me out gave me a substantial discount so I was able to put the rotor on my vehicle. Davis tire and brakes and Tires gave me the personal touch get my car needs repaired and completed. If I could give negative stars I would. I had an appt to get all four tires replaced. When I called on my way because I was running late I was informed that they had been trying to contact me all day and they didn’t even have the tires in stock and they were back ordered. The lady was super unprofessional and rude on the phone. No one ever called or left a message to alert anyone about the tire issue. She then called a few minutes later to let me know the tires she said were unable to be ordered could be brought over in a half hour, not to mention they tried to sell me tires that would not have fit appropriately on my vehicle. Way to go

I had an appointment to be at - showed up when they opened, they were kind and polite and changed the tire for me immediately so I could get to my appointment - I returned later and they helped me replace tire (s) and worked to find me the best price and then installed it all for me. The team was so friendly, helpful & quick! Cleaned up my tires and filled all of them. I have had a slow leak that no one else could find and the tire pressure light never went away! They took excellent care of us! The employee also priced tires for our other Truck while we waited.

These guys are great. I’m in process of driving across the country and had an issue with work done in NY by someone else. This Mavis here in Lombard went above and beyond to make sure everything was good for the rest of the drive. They explained and showed everything clearly and were very reasonable. Dont go there! Terrible experience doesnt even come close to what happened. I was waiting next door at Discount Tire and saw these folks next door and decided to visit Mavis instead to save some time. I ended up getting 4 new tires (decent price) & the tire pressure light came one when I was leaving. I told Rick it was on and he said drive around for 15 mins and it should go away (makes sense). This was after I walked in on him yelling at a technician. I came back the next day and Rick said Id have to wait 3 hours for him to look at it. I went down the road to the Chevy dealership and asked if they could reset the system. When they checked the tires, they informed me the tire sensor was damaged or broken and was no longer working. They also said all tires were way over inflated (41,39,38,38) when the spec clearly says 33 on the car. I called back and spoke to Rick and he said theyd look at it. Went back and he (Rick) treated me as if I did something wrong. Now they tell me the sensor battery is bad and that they did nothing wrong. He said his boss was outside and I asked to speak to him. He introduced to Matt and Matt tried to explain how a battery works. I explained my frustration and he told me hes not Ricks boss and that he shouldnt be talking to me. What?!? We ended up calling the Chevy dealership and they explained the battery can be replaced and that they believed Macis should replace it. We tried to have Rick talk to them and he walked away. Terrible, I repeat, terrible service. Spend an extra penny and go somewhere else.

These guys are great. Will looked at my tires actually helped me with a seal on the tire the was not obvious before. Then Brenden was awesome got me in and out on the schedule. Jose pointed out my brakes but I wasnt ready to change them out yet. Top class and quality guys. Thanks you all!

Bad service. Had two tires installed on my bmw. When I got home I looked at the invoice and noticed I was charged for two tpms service kits. I called Rick to find out what that charge was. He said it was for seals and valve steam for the tire pressure sensors. I told him my car doesn’t have tpms sensors and how come I still have the old valve stems on the rims if they are charging me for service kits. He didn’t know I’m ase certified and my valve stems were never replaced and I was charged for something I never got. I ended up getting my valve stems replaced at the bmw dealer and also was told my tired were never balanced when that’s part of the installation. Really bad service and charging for services and parts that never go on the car

Do NOT take your car to MAVIS!Unless you want your tires to come off or have a part like the skid plate fly off on the highway because they didnt put all the screws back in (yes, the plate thing happened to me.)They strung me along about the part, only to find out two weeks later, after i called the car dealership, that Jose never ordered it and he said its usually an overnight delivery. The management was no help, but after 3 weeks of phone calls, i had a DIFFERENT Mavis replace the part. Best part was, when they replaced it, i checked it in their parking lot and the plate wasnt put on correctly AGAIN! Back on the lift with me watching this time. They had me go over it, (now the third time) when i noticed there was STILL screws missing! The lack of safety and professionalism from management and mechanics are unexcusable.Edit: They have reached out to me and refunded my oil change.

Im not sure if the employee was having a bad day or customer service is just not a thing here but he wouldnt help me out. Basically told me to do his job for him. If thats the type of service you are looking for, have at it.... I would suggest any of the 20 other tire companies on Roosevelt. Apparently the tire elites at Mavis cant be bothered.

Awesome fast service. Had a fleet car that needed a patch on a tire on a Sunday. Other place told me to leave the car and it will be ready on Monday. They got me in and out quickly. Will be bringing all my fleet cars for services to Mavis from now on.

Went in yesterday and Got a set of 4 new tires.Work was performed in a timely fashionand at the best price i could find. Parked the car overnight and came out to a flat tire.Called up the location, aired my tire up and took the vehicle back in. They were able to get me right in and out. Will the guy that serviced my vehicle this time concluded that the stem had a small leak. He (Will) showed me the leak, repaired it, showed me it was repaired and got me back on the road.Service & price was 5 star, however the attention to detail that required a call back was a major inconvenience.Again, thanks Will, I will see you guys in the future.

I would like to thank Alberto and Jose for the dedication to helping in finalizing the repairs on my car. I initially came to the store in June for new tires and brakes with wheel alignment, after that visit I ran into some issues that wasn’t detected at the initial diagnostic by different staff, after explaining the issues that I had come across to Jose he was able to get an amazing work order in for service on my vehicle the same day. Alberto took time to explain the process been 100% professional making sure that I was clear with understanding the breakdown of the service. As a woman I felt good about the job. Came in for an oil change and the gentlemen there were amazing. Super helpful and detailed when explaining what my car needed. Many times as women we feel taken advantage of when getting out cars fixed but I felt very comfortable with these gentlemen. They explained it in a detail manner. I will highly recommend to friends and family.

Thier online pricing is fraudulent at best. Included $120 of hidden fees and thats not the tax. Then waited 3 hours for install (thats with an appointment too). Do yourself a favor and go across the street to discount tires. I wish I didUpdated after owner response: I included a picture of the online quote. No mention of other fees besides tax. If you know there are other fees youd think a business would include those or at the least say additional fees will apply. Again this is a bait and switch and any future customers save yourself the headache and go anywhere else for tires

Came in to have new tires put on, aligned, balanced and check why my check engine light was on. Never told me why my check engine light was on but charged me for checking, and completely screwed up the balance on the tires meaning they didnt even do it! For the amount of money I spent here you would think everything would have been done correctly. This explains why discount tire was packed and this place was a ghost town. There are like 5 different tire places on Roosevelt, go to any one of them except this place, unless you want to leave with more problems than what you arrived with.

Dont take your car there you will be sorry. The worst experience ever. To make a long story short they ripped me off blind. When i took my car there all I said was front brakes need to be done. What a disaster after they worked on it for about one month my car was worse than ever.at this point they charge $950 and then another $400. And one of their mechanics knew I was being rip off that is then. When he said what part I needed to order and he would do the work foe $100. Not to mention that he never showed up. This ordeal started Sept 12 and i just took my car to another shop.When I talked to Fred I said I should have got a. Refunds and of course rude as hell said that was not go in to work at all. Mavis tire and brakes I would not let my worst enemy go there they are a big rip off place.

This place is amazing my first time here and let me tell you it wont be my last i meet the manager Jose he is a amazing person that made me feel like i was at home there. I was navigated by Jose to a great tech named Will that was able to identify my problem with my tires after a few minutes of being there. Jose the manager and the the tech Will told me my options and i loved the way Jose approached me, he didnt pier pressure me or try to force me into paying anything or spend money like so many other places do and i loved that a lot about jose and the way he manages his place. They matched the tire price I had and looked out for me on the alignment price. I live in Lombard and received love like I was on the SouthSide! If it works for you then you need to drive to see them and get work done. We all know that it depends on what automotive work needs to be done and can be very expensive. I (we) all have a Hood Mechanic for expensive jobs at Love Price but certain jobs require a shop or location preference. Very disappointed took my car in today for the driver side axel, the wait was long due to part not being there. Waited from 10:30 till 3:00pm. Once the car was done we paid, and asked was the car good to go response was yes all good. We drove from lombard to hillside, once we made a left turn heard something pop and I be darn the axel popped off couldnt even move the car. Soo disappointed after all the time waiting my car to go back to the shop. Never again will I take my car there.
