I have a 8x10 unit. Easy reserving/purchasing online. Received a phone call the next day confirming and got the lease back and signed very quickly. The unit was easy to get to, very clean, and a lock was provided which was great! I think the price is very fair especially for the Northern VA area. Overall have had a great experience with this place and I would recommend.

Clean, secure, & easy access. Rolling flat carts are always available to help move your items to your unit. Staff at this location are friendly and helpful. Customer service and communication are excellent. I would gladly rent a unit from this location again.

Great customer service from the staff. They are always willing to help. Easy to move in, and when youre ready to go, they process everything very quickly. The units are clean, and the location is very easy to get to.

Go to Better Business Bureau site. Dont look at the grade, which is diminished only by formal, investigated complaints. Instead, click on the comments. Youll find a total rating of 1.2 stars out of 5. As of this writing, this location alone has 148 one star reviews in a 3-month period... including mine. Then go to the companys main listing in the BBB site (Extra Space Management, Utah). You will find THOUSANDS of one star ratings across all of their locations and their corporate site, including one trying to start a class-action law suit. Why? Simple. Bait and switch pricing, gorilla tactics, and evicting people for bad reviews. Also terminating accounts without first notifying the renter.

Will not Rent from again. Rented unit for Months paying on time and as agreed, never once late. Then Rent increased without notice, substantially days before due date. I contacted Store Manager who says it is because of high demand of unit and Market value. He was not willing to honor agreements mentioned, to me upon moving in regarding the rent price.So i moved out.

My 5-year experience with EXTRA SPACE STORAGE was FANTASTIC! I am CONVINCED that I had THE best unit in the ENTIRE place because it was a corner unit with PHENOMENAL BONUS SPACE -- but I was ONLY charged for a 10x10! ONLY child that I am, I got the unit after the passing of my Mom and it quite simply provided the breathing room that I needed to kinda distance myself until I could figure out what direction I needed to move in...Ble, the Store Manager and his Associate Jessica in the Lorton Store worked with me MANY times when outside circumstances didnt always allow for me to keep up with my rent like I should -- truth be told. However, their KINDNESS, UNDERSTANDING AND COMPASSION simply made an ALREADY difficult and complicated situation THAT much MORE bearable!I honestly cannot thank them ENOUGH for NOT adding to my stress...and for THAT alone coupled with the fact that the unit, property and common areas were ALWAYS spotless, I WOULDNT HESITATE storing with EXTRA SPACE STORAGE again -- and YOU shouldnt either!!!

I highly recommend Extra Space Storage in Lorton, VA for storing your belongings. Ble always provide great customer service and has been helpful. The units are clean, climate controlled and I have never seen any rodents or pests. My things have been in this unit for almost 4 years (which is way too long) but at least I am not worried about my items and its affordable.

Just moved into this location a month ago and already feel like family. When I first arrived to rent a unit Devon showed me around and treated me like we were already friends. Then during the sign up process I met Sally who also quickly fell into step with Devon and gave me a very warm welcome.But do not be fooled by the friendly faces when it comes to business Sally and Devon are all over it. The grounds are clean ALL the time. My unit was spotless when I moved in and the isle of the buildings are always clean and free of trash.Shortly after I moved in I had an issue with my keypad code. Sally was all over it. She let me in to access my unit and had the issue fixed by the time I was ready to leave.Bottom line, this place rocks! Never thought I would say that about a storage unit before but this facility changed my mind. Friendly faces, helpful and knowledgeable staff, clean grounds (all the time) and secure facilities allow me peace of mind when I am not on the grounds and when I am moving things in or out.

The staff is highly professional. The premises are very clean and I felt safe storing my belongings here. They are warm and friendly and make doing business with them pleasurable. When it comes to customer service, they are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I highly recommend. I love this Extra Space Storage!!! Everything is so easy from online reserves to speaking with the Office Manager, Sallie and her assistant, Devon.Extra Space on Mims St. in Lorton, VA is a very clean and secure place.I know I can go in and talk with a person (Sallie or Devon) and will be satisfied by the answers. I would NOT go to any other storage place.Plus, Extra Storage Space is only 3 miles from my house. Very affordable, convenient, easy access and sturdy hand carts to use. I have had my storage unit for over 3 years now. Not exactly what I wanted for my belongings, however, I know they are safe and secure with a 24 hour security. Yes there are some increases in rent to be expected. (approx. 10 dollars a year) My children also use this facility and they live 10 plus miles away. Any questions? Just give Sallie or Devon a call.

Moving can be a hassle and sometimes you just need to dump all of your belongings into a temperature controlled room while you wait on your new apartment to be ready. Great service. I called many storage facilities but decided to use Extra Space Storage in . Mr Ble Sery was very patient and answered all my questions. Additionally, they offer military discounts and have small climate controlled units. Great price, great service, and great location.This is an update. After 10 months deployment, came back, emptied my unit and was out of there in 3 minutes. No long interrogations or survey fill out. Just in and out. Next time will choose this place again.

Way overpriced. And they keep raiding the rates once they think you are locked in. I literally bought a house in the country for what I am paying. Once it is renovated I will move everything there and save those ridiculous payments. Staff is friendly enough but they admit they have no authority to do anything.
