We have gotten their bbq on Sundays a number of times, and all was fine. This time, the guy was rude and the barg pieces were mostly chunks of fat or gristle. The koobideh was full of inedible bits and had an odd red color. A reviewer on Yelp said that its red dye added to make old meat look fresh. Just poor quality this time, and a bad attitude overall. We wont be back.

Not happy with low quality of the products at all.1- We bought Ahmad team factory sealed container that you never realize it was manipulated from outside the box until you open it. When we opened it, we found out it was mixed with bad tea. It was not comparable with Ahmad tea from the other Persian stores at all. We had to use twice more each time to be able to make colorful tea and unfortunately taste was horrible also. We dumped it.2- Once we tried their Kabab they make in parking lot on weekends. Smell was like old trash/junk meat that restaurants are throwing them away. Kabab was like the lash that we couldn’t even chew it. We dumped them also. Not recommended to any one.

Dont touch the deli. Lets start with the fact they have 3 B grade signs from the health department. I personally witness them packing pastrami with the same gloves the person used for an hour now, touching his phone and lifting his pants multiple times. This is what Ive seen infront of me. I dont know what is happening in the kitchen where I cant see.I even overheard the person offering his employee to eat from the food, and the employee responding who would eat from that🤢.Im never coming back.

Produce prices can be great here.If you want some cool ethnic food, like unleavened bread or stuffed grape leaves, get it here. There is much more here than that though. All food from the kosher deli is really killer.Vegans, know that it is not kosher to mix dairy(milk, cream, cheese) with other foods in the deli. So the there is much there to eat absent of meat.

Located on a street corner, across the street from the Laemmle Royal movie theater, this small grocery store has its own parking lot, in addition to street and city run lot parking nearby. The selection of kosher meat, fish, and produce is great. A wide selection plus assorted Israeli and other Middle Eastern food products. They have great produce specials.

Even one star is too much for them. Their specialty is Green color (literally old and green color) ground beef topped with Beautiful red ground beef and sold in package. If you ask them to make fresh ground beef for you, they go to the back and add so much fat into it that its not red anymore. Its light pink. Sad.

Not as large as your supermarkets but has all the essentials. A good kosher meat and poultry section and the butchers will gladly accommodate special orders or cuts. Also fresh fish. Well organized and clean. Friendly staff.

Da
Review №38

Apparently they are under new ownership. Ever since then, their quality went down 10 fold. STAY AWAY from their meat cuts... all old and smelly and far from fresh. This used to be my favorite place until they got extra cheap. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere in Pico... anywhere other than here.

One star is way too much for them. Their chicken breast and ground meat is not the freshest. The fruits dont last too long .I had a bad experience with their hot food before, and thought maybe I should give them another chance. This time, the chicken kabob had a very strange texture and taste, it was old and raw. The rice was also old and you could tell from the look of it. It looks like they recycle their old food. I got very sick after eating their hot food and itt all went in the trash. It is really disgusting. Stay away from their hot meals.

Kosher market offering Persian style bbq on Sundays. Very good ethnic produce, meat and fish market on the Westside of 405. I’m a fan of the produce, especially herbs like tarragon, mint and dill — reasonable prices and relatively high quality. I haven’t tried it yet, but the branzino fish is priced a few dollars less than luxury grocery stores, but the freshness might not be as high.Tried the Persian style bbq they offered on Sundays in their parking lot. You order at the outside stand, pay for your items inside and give your paid ticket to the bbq vendor who takes your order. Get your order in as early as you can on Sundays because they run out items after 5p and close the bbq around 6p or so.I ordered the joojeh/jujeh kebab with bone (Cornish hen) $12.99 and it was quite delicious with a pleasant smoky taste from the charcoal. It comes with lavash bread, a grilled tomato and 1/2 a raw onion so you can make mini wraps to eat. They’ll also give you some Middle Eastern pickles (Torshi). I also ordered Zereshk polo (barberry flavored basmati rice) $5.99 — the deli section/catering kitchen makes it inside (various cooked polos/rices are sold daily). The rice was on the hard and chewy side, but they were generous with the barberries. Prices seem a little high for deli food, but it’s much cheaper compared to Persian restaurants nearby offering bbq and cooked basmati rice.I’m not familiar with Jewish holidays so I usually call before I go (sometimes closed on Fridays and other days of the week).PS: They also sell packaged Mashti Malone ice cream in the freezer case.

They have some ok produce but stay away from their kosher meat and chicken inluding their hot meals. Truly disgusting. I feel so bad for ppl who keep kosher and dont know any other place to shop. I mean we all kow kosher meat in CS is bad but they get the cheapest and the leftovers from what it seems like. They dont give a damn either... everytime you complaint they just say it is what it is. Take it or leave it. They have people who are kosher by the b@lls. So sad.
