Cute local grocery mart with great custom subs and very friendly staff - right next to the farmers market so a great rest stop on Saturdays

I give this yummy only 2 stars because everything in the store is 4 to 5 times more expensive than the normal price you would pay at a grocery store. So avoid everything in the store except for the Deli! Their sandwiches and New England clam chowder are off the hook! Im disappointed that Yummy came into my neighborhood of Silver Lake and only price gouges its neighbors with no remorse. If you want one can a pringles that normally sells for a $1.50 expect to pay $5 here. This place is a real rip off so avoid at all cost unless she loved great sandwiches and soups.

So, Ive never been here before. I stopped because i needed something healthy hoping i could find it here. I found a salad I thought would work. They have touch screen ordering. I placed my order. Kind if confusing 1st time out, but, oh well. My name is called, i get my salad and go to the cashier. My order isnt right.....aaaaarrrggghhhh. they remade it. I guess, no harm, no foul. But next time, can you just read the ticket?

Great fresh produce, grass fed beef, nice selection of wine. Yummy has everything I need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner and they deliver.

The delivery drivers get passive aggressive when you don’t leave tip. Contactless delivery is selected for a reason. There is no need to ask if I would like to sign the receipt as a ploy to segue into asking if I would like to leave a tip as well. This is why the covid rates have yet to decrease because people value money more than health. They rarely ask for ID but when a tip isn’t left they strike up a nice conversation and will tell you how much you spent loud enough for neighbors and all to hear as if you didn’t see the total during checkout or as if there isn’t a receipt stapled to the bag or as if you don’t receive email confirmation either. This only happens when I don’t leave a tip.

Friendly staff, great selection and they deliver.

Today was my second experience with this company where my order took more than an hour. My order was also incorrect. I ordered aChardonnay but re derived a Cabernet by the same maker with no notice and a chance to choose what I might want to substitute.

This is a fantastic store with great prices. Its small, but Ive never been unable to find anything (even random specialty items) and all of the employees are great. Last time I went, I showed up about 5 minutes before close without realizing and was hesitating at the door, not wanting to be rude and delay the employees. The manager came outside and assured me it was okay and to take my time. Really, really wonderful store.

Decent place. Has the usual grocery staples (produce, meat, beer/wine, kitchen/cleaning supplies, canned goods, etc.) but not a huge selection to choose from. They do stock some organic produce and meat. There is a take out counter as well. Ive never tried it. Prices are on par for the area (which is to say they are high). Staff is friendly and polite.

Cashier had an attitude and refused to give me the receipt.

This is my neighborhood market and it has everything that you need. Try out a sandwich for something fresh and yummy.While it’s not fully stocked like a chain grocery store, they have all of the finishing touch items that you could ask for. Also the quality of their produce, their friendly staff and their selection of beer and other products is really great.

The bulk of the store offers mid-tier products for top-shelf prices, however, The deli and sandwich counter is FANTASTIC! A wonderful value to be had with their handmade salads, soups, and sandwiches featuring Boars Head meat. Overall, this place has been a complete savior to me when I cant be bothered to venture to a larger shop.

Cashier 1665 did not bag my food. Waited for a minute and decided to bag it myself. In addition to that he took a good 2 minutes to inspect my money to make sure it was real. Really! Wow! Needs to understand customer service. I am paying top dollar for poor service. We stop buy for food several times a week. Just going back to Vons. Farther away but service is better.

Good for a quick convenience stop, but not really a full grocery -- kind of like a healthy 7-11 with produce. Not as pricey as you’d guess. I’ve tried the delivery service once (their main thing), and it was okay … if you’re too sick and hungry to care about the cost.

Custom built sandwiches are the best!

The people who work there are soooo helpful and they will try to accommodate you the best they know how. Tim in the bakery department rocks! The guys that work in the meat department will actually spend time with you and talk to you about the best way to cook some of their predominated and prepared roasts. They also have some of the best produce in the city, which is saying something! Avoid shopping there on Monday nights (it is ridiculously crowded) and the parking lot is really scary so try to park on the street it will make your shopping experience that much more pleasant.

Had to leave some feedback here after yet another unpleasant interaction with a specific cashier (the guy with the blond mohawk looking hair who is the cashier right now in the store). He provided THE LOWEST quality Customer Service possible. Every single time hes working the register there is a VERY long line that moves VERY slowly. I know because I live one block away for over three years and go to this Yummy location 2-3 times per week.Today, not only he forgot to charge the guy in front of me for something, I had to remind him. Then he also charged me just half of my items and asked if I wanted the rest (hello???, why would I bring them to the register if I didnt?). Then, one of my items had a different price advertised than what his register was ringing and what he said to me was: What do you want me to do? This is the price that is coming up on the computer. WOW!! just WOW!!On top of that, he cant do basic math. Ive given him sometimes the exact change and he took forever counting the money, then gave me the wrong change then asked me how much he had to give me back. Again, WOW!!Im honestly not quite sure how this guy still has a job, he provides terrible experiences at a market that is not cheap. Sadly, Ive had to interact with him many times and have been very patient but today, Ive had it! Need to upgrade your customer service training or hire better people honestly.

I have been coming to Yummy for a while now, it’s convenient and well stocked. There’s good food selection and good customer service, the whole stuff and the cashier Oscar that’s kind and helpful.

Yummy had been a great addition to the neighborhood. Convenient, well stocked, great sandwiches, and awesome service. Some of my favorite highlights are the Chicken tortilla soup, the chipotle chicken sandwich, and the cashier Oscar and the whole staff.

Food quality is primo, Polished staff member, Very quaint location!!! The price is a higher that some of larger chain out there but Still cheaper than Whole food..... But I have NEVER tried online delivery service!!

I ordered from this service several times, every time they missed MULTIPLE items & I was still charged the full amount. I tried to reach out to their customer service & never got a response.

Convient, expensive, some organic items, not produce though. Closest market to me so i frequent often for convenience. Staff pretty friendly.

It is a bit pricey but it has the essentials needed. I wish more Vegan options were present but the staff is cool and the location is convenient so I love this place.

If you need something for a quick trip and this is close, then it’s great. Don’t do a big grocery shopping trip here

I was visiting from out of town and found this place online. They are conveniently located, open till midnight and they deliver! The website it a little hard to find but I went to the physical store anyhow. Turned out this grocery store had all my fave stuff - fresh fruit and veggies, Califia farms almond milk, Tofutti vegan cream cheese, Vital Farms eggs, Gardein beefless tips, Endangered Species chocolate bars, unsweetened peanut butter (actually I think it was sunflower seed butter but it tasted good)... Anyhoo, I was in heaven and so happy to find this place. They also carried at least one brand of face wash and lotion that didn’t have crappy chemicals in it. Loved this place!

Not the most well-stocked neighborhood market Ive seen, and some of the quality was surprisingly lacking, but they get an A for effort. Maybe a B+. If youve been to Urban Radish near Little Tokyo, think a slightly toned-down version of that. This one, however, has something they dont: Delivery! So if you live in the area, but dont feel like getting out of your jammies to go grocery shopping, guess what? You got it! Order online. Hence, the name.They do have some pretty great items on hand if youre just there for a quick fill-in trip and can manage to snag some parking. I love that they carry some of the higher-quality shelf-stable and refrigerated items like pre-packaged Stumptown Coffees and Pamelas Gluten-Free cookies. They also happen to sell some boozy drinks, so if youre in the area and dont want to go to a shady liquor store, theres always this place. Not as many options, though.And if youre want to stop in for a quick bite of freshly-prepared food, they even have a small food prep area where you can order something healthy off of their modest menu, or get one of their coffee selections or kombucha on tap.The prices are okay. You could do better. But you have to admit: from the outside, this place looks so LA-Hipster-Health-Nut-Friendly you just have to pop in and have a look.

Their delivery is worth is if you can find a coupon.

I called on 3/11/17 at 2pm, asked for a chicken soup to go, a lady answer and said yes we have, 5 min later i got there and nothing. Just clam soup. Not a big deal but i waste my time.

Wow! Do I love Yummy! First of all, the staff. Everybody Ive come in contact with, from the delivery people to the folks who answer the phone, has a been jewel/gem! The 30 min promise is NO LIE. In fact, I got one delivery recently where it was 15 minutes! Charming staff, incredibly helpful people who go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. Then the products. Yummy is very comparable, price-wise, to the major chains in the area (I do Vons a when I dont do Yummy). The produce is fresh and lovely, the meats/poultry are fantastic (I had never had Boars Head bacon, yum!), and there are always little things I run into that I want to sample. The only time I was disappointed with an item was when I bought pre-grated parmesan. I think most cooks would tell you DONT BUY PRE-GRATED ANYTHING! That wasnt Yummys fault though. Im now of an age and in a physical state where grocery shopping is tough. Knowing that Yummy is there has made a world of difference for me. I cant recommend these guys strongly enough! Ooooh, Yummy!

Small shop that has a somewhat limited stock compared to other grocery stores. One bonus is that they are open late.
