Came here on my first night in LA. Honestly was good but I’ve had this before at a cheaper cost and staff were average in terms of friendliness. Would come back but maybe for something smaller.

This ice cream is a bundle of joy to experience. The whole vibe of the shop is welcoming. The menu options are great. The staff there are a joy to watch. Great job to the owners for a wonderful experience.

The service was amazing! Under new management...But they havent worked out their menu and tastes ...They need to figure outI would prefer to have a small size with just one or two rolls and more toppings... They have the idea there but the execution is just not there... They need a good chef to help with creating the menu.

Ate here back in 2018, first time having rolled ice cream. Ive had others since then but none of them have been anywhere as good as here! My wife and I ate here 2-3 times during our trip to Southern California. The staff is super friendly, they’ll talk with you the entire time, and fairly fast despite being crowded most of the time!

Good ice cream. Cool concept. Never had rolled ice cream and it was cool to watch them work. the flavor it self was good. Mine didnt have any fancy stuff that they chopped up in the ice cream. My daughter said hers was delicious. Would try it again.

I have been here by accident. I saw their artwork on the wall from outside and was speechless. The artwork continued on the floor - this is what made me wanna take a picture from the inside. Amazing place. Already inside I figured out what this is and immediately placed an order. I ordered chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles and fresh raspberries. The service was super polite, friendly and the price is fair. The creations they offer are creative and sound good, but I sticked with what I liked. Delicious. I asked for additional whipped cream and they gave me a huge portion free of charge. I can highly recommend this place. 5 stars. Liked everything.

This place is all gimmick. It takes between 10-30 min to get your ice cream after you place your order. The ice cream is mediocre at best; not creamy and delicious the way good ice cream should be, but dry and flaky. Also, way overpriced for what it is.

The place offers a cool ambience and staff is friendly. It is great to watch them make the ice cream, almost like an art. However, the ice-cream flavors taste very artificial. I had the Nutella one. We came in a group and most of them complained about the artificial flavor, with exception of the Mango which tasted good and fresh.

Well we had a crappy date and I had a crappy day at work, so the boyfriend decided to take me out. He’d picked out some place in Weho called Cold Rolled Ice Cream Co. I simply shrugged and went with it, kind of despondent but not wanting to make a big scene bout it. It was yum!!! The flavors and consistency are simply the best, as is the presentation! (hint: every ice cream is a work of art) The staff were sweet and very polite, we had a great time and I can’t wait to come back to Cold Rolled for another 2 helpings in one!

The staff was very kind. They even wrote my name in chocolate inside the ice cream. Their Halloween flavors are awesome. Even came with a lil ghost. Perfect thing for spooky folk around this time of year.

What I find the best is the dark/white chocolate topping. This was best ice cream ever. You should definitely try it. Very nice waiter. Good position in city.

This place is one of those hole in the walls, and as such, its original and delicious. This is an ice cream place, but its not your typical ice cream shop. They start off with an ice cream mixture flavor of your choice. They pour the liquid mixture onto a round slate (looks like a crepe pan) and the gelatician quickly begins to work the hardening mixture. They spread/smear the mixture across the cold round slate until its hardened. They get a grill scraper and start rolling the ice cream. They put the rolls into an ice cream cup and add the toppings. Voilà! You can now enjoy your rolled ice cream!

I had never even heard of this concept, and it totally blew me away. Such an experience just to watch them prepare the ice cream for you, and spelling your name out into it?? Adorbz. Everything comes out super good.Sidenote: the dude who made mine was particularly handsome and the girls behind me kept staring and the dude making their has to keep calling to them, until they broke out of their trance. This isnt really relevant to the review, it was just funny.

The cold rolled over cream is good, but I wish I had been warned about the thirty minute wait to receive my order.The person taking my order did not know which items contained gluten and did not quite understand the significance of getting that right.

Wow, thats some good ice cream. The density and texture reminds me of the liquid nitrogen ice cream from smitten. The cool thing about the rolled ice cream is that they can mix in custom ingredients and keep things evenly distributed

Absolutely loved the Lavendar honey chocolate chip and my bf got the salted caramel one n we fought over bites for both! Loved the showmanship of the making of the ice cream and how they wrote our names with the condiments when they rolled it up. Def coming back to try more flavors!

My two go to flavors: Strawberry Cheesecake and Rock Salted Caramel. Rich in flavor. So amazing!

Came here after the Roosevelt Hotel looking for a ghost. The strawberry helped me forget. I’ll come back next time I’m in town.

After a long day of shopping on Melrose, we were looking for a sweet treat to hold us over until dinner. I think we found this place on Yelp. And so glad we did. Everyone was fun and upbeat inside. The menu was hard to choose from because it all looked so good I wanted one of each. Ill be going back soon for more.

So awesome. Owner was great. Almost a 5. Other staff needs to get involved more with customers. Needs more lively experience. However the place is great and really cool. So amazing how they make it. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved this place! Went here last year for my birthday and it was truly special. It was around ten at night when I stopped by and everyone sung me happy birthday. One of the best birthday memories yet!

Great to eat, the thing that I liked the most was that they really serve you a good amount of ice cream for what you pay for, which is rarely seen in LA. The service is awesome, the workers are very kind and friendly. My only complain (which would be only an opinion) is that they dont have a lot of seating options, maybe a couple more stools or small tables would help but overall is a must place to visit.

Its so cool to see liquid cream transform into ice cream as the skilled ice cream maker mixes and folds your order on a magical frozen plate! The grand finale is your name written in the ice cream just before its rolled and served up for you. This isnt your typical ice cream shop, this is a place with character. Not only is everything fresh its entertaining and the staff are the Stars here not just the delicious outcome. I had a blast talking with my artist all while he was crafting my treat. This isnt instant it takes time but you can taste and see the simplicity of flavor in a frozen desert.

Great ice cream all around. Dont really try eating real food in their restaurant though. Their food is not that great. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with cheddar but she got American cheese instead. When I got a bacon burger the patty was so dry.

The service was good even though the place was packed. I really liked the lively atmosphere. During the twenty minutes I was there, everyone sang the Happy Birthday song at least three times. The Banana Jr. sundae was delicious and I think the pricing was fair.

Probably among the best weve had. Tried the chocolate sorbet and chocolate peanut butter fudge. Amazing and truly homemade and delicious. Well worth every penny. Highly recommend even on a cold night. Flavors may be limited but quality is unsurpassed.

The customer service in here is impeccable! The bathrooms were super clean. The cleanest Ive seen in LA. Parking wasnt an issue. There are two tables inside for seating and a bench inside and outside. This is the place where you order your ice cream to go and Im okay with that. There are so many wonderful shops along this street.I ordered the chocolate lovers and had them add berries to it. It was delicious! I love how they wrote your name with the syrups while they make your frozen treat. Next time Im in LA I will come back to this exact place for a wonderfully delicious treat with the customer service to match. Thank You!

Delicious ice cream. The rest of the menu is ok. I sometimes get the crab melt. But definitely sample their ice cream, its creamy and flavorful and they have a good variety.

I love this place! Everything from the burgers to the ice cream. Yes it gets busy but that just goes to show how awesome it is. When ever Im in piedmont I will make sure to stop by Cold Rolled Ice Cream.

The first thing I noticed was the super fun wall art. It’s very hip and Instagram friendly.The quality of the ice cream was nothing special but how it’s presented to customers is the major selling point. I went with a safer option and tried cookies and cream but I will be trying something new next time.The place was really nice and clean. Seating area and parking was limited. Service was on point.

Never had ice cream like this before! This was an amazing experience before I even had a chance to eat the ice cream! The staff is very friendly and helpful with informing you on how the process works. I selected my flavor and then the show began! I was memorized at how they actually made the ice cream. Great new ice cream place on Melrose where you get to watch your own ice cream made in front of you before your very eyes.They take ice cream that is still warm or not even ice cream yet and they hand freeze it on negative 15 degrees freezing plates.The ice cream turned out delicious.The only issue is that I dont believe they have any or much indoor seating ......however they do have a couple of benches outside. And on weekends evening expect a long line. Open til 1 I think.

Not bad. Flavor and sweetness level is just right (not too sweet). Texture is very good (thick, not fluffy). The guy rolling sucked a bit, his rolls werent perfect. But overall, it is good.There is only like two tables to sit at.

If their going to charge $$$ for ice cream they need to step it up. The location was dirty and the young employees were obviously smoking weed in the back room which made the whole place smell. No manager on site to train them how to professionally serve customers. Better off going to Milk Bar if you’re going to spend $$$ on ice cream. Experience was not great.

Its more than an ice cream place, its an experience. I had the hazelnut cup, and watching the artist making my icecream behind the counter just blew my mind. The seats are limited, the music is loud, but I liked the vibe.

I came here to kill some time and Im happy that I did. Its pretty expensive for ice cream but it is a novelty to watch it be made. It must take a lot of muscle to do this all day. I enjoyed my ice cream but will probably only come on special occasions in the future.

The show they put on while preparing your ice cream was really cool and encourages you to post on Snapchat or Instagram but sadly the actual flavor of the ice cream wasnt too amazing that combined with the ice cream being quite hard left me dissatisfied especially since this place isnt the cheapest. Probably wont be coming back
