This place is awesome!! I cant believe they are open till midnight Friday and Saturday! And its super clean, well lit and organized!! The staff is super friendly and so resourceful. They have a wonderful area for games! And I loved the clearance table. Such a wonderful discovery! I had no idea this amazing comic shop was in my area!!

This is a really cool spot! Its more of a card and comic shop but they have a lot of miniatures and accessories for customizing them too.

Very nice owners, cool environment/aesthetic, and glad it is locally owned...just wish there was more of a selection of merchandise here...meaning I wish the selection of FUNKO Pop characters was still large, they had more specific title collections in comic books, and the manga section was larger...

I went in one day and the gentleman who was working told me they were only giving in store credit to ppl selling comics but later in the day when my buddy called and asked the same question he was told that he would be paid in US currency. So the guy was either lazy or lying and I dont like either one of those.

Solid selection of comics and games. Owners are pretty standoffish and prices are high for backissue comics. Ive came here a few years ago and didnt really care for it for the reasons mentioned. I tried it again recently and my initial impression was confirmed.

Quite a lot of everything (game/comic/miniatures/cards) with no apparent specialization. A decent amount of games to pre-play if youre interested. Itd be nice if there was some gatorade or slightly healthier drinks instead of just soda.

I enjoy checking out games and comics shops wherever I go on vacation. This is a great game store in a really cool neighborhood. Its in an okder building full of character with a surprising amount of room. They had a good selection of role playing, miniatures and board games. They also have a room for open gaming, which is always good to see. The gentleman behind thr desk was friendly and helpful. Worst thing about it is the parking - check the side streets.

As a gaming shop, this place is probably pretty solid. They seemed to have a good selection of product and they have a sizable area to play games. As a comic book shop however, theres essentially no reason to come here over any of Louisvilles other comic shops. They have a wall of new issues and some long boxes of back issues, but thats about it. They dont have anything going on in terms of trades and they probably have the saddest assortment of action figures that ive ever seen in a comic shop. I left pretty disappointed. I have nothing against this shop, just dont go in expecting something that it isnt like I did. If youre looking for a good trade selection, I suggest The Great Escape, and Pops probably has the best selection of collectibles in the area. My advice to the owners: Just be a gaming store, its where your heart is. If you want to be a great comic shop, you need to dedicate more of your (ample) store space to it and expand your product range.

If they dont have a comic in stock theyll order it in special for you, great selection of cards (mtg and yugioh I believe), very knowledgeable staff, and overall just a very pleasant atmosphere and a great place to be.

They have a wide variety of table top games and hobby accessories like paint, brushes, glue, etc.

Theyre still going strong and COVID compliant! No scheduled events yet but people are coming back to carefully play. Dont forget this great spot!

Great place to go for trading card games, comics, miniatures of all types, and anything you might need for a D&D campaign. They usually have good selection of all of these things but if they dont have it they can usually order it for you.If youre looking to play some games, they have a great community up there and plenty of tables for anything you might want to play. They even have an entire shelf full of terrain that you can use for any games that use minis.The staff is always friendly and helpful. Overall its a great store. I cant recommend them enough.

A small family owned shop with an amazing collection of comics, figurines, and model kits for warhammer and the likes. Tons of board games and a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful and the community is constantly playing games in the other room.

I was immediately greeted by their happy store dog, Zoe.I picked a few new comics and recent trade collections in this very clean and well organized establishment. The owners were generous with their attention and time.If youre in downtown Louisville and need a comics fix, I highly reccomend this shop.

I stopped by after work to pick up some card sleeves. The girl behind the counter, who turned out to be the daughter of the owner, was very knowledgeable and helpful while me and a friend asked to see several MTG singles. She happily answered all our questions and we left as satisfied as we could be. This by far my new favorite shop for comics and MTG in the Highlands neighborhood and is quickly becoming my favorite in the city.

What a fantastic store and great gaming space. They seem to have everything any type of gamer could want. TCG, miniatures, boardgames, and RPG they have it all. Their comic and collectible section is solid as well. Cant recommend this place enough.

Games and comics galore.

Been a customer since they opened. The owners focus for excellent customer service and incredible selection for comics and gaming have been a core value since day 1 it seems.I started having a comic series held for me in 2016, but lost my taste for comics after a while and stopped picking them up. A year and a half later I returned to Heroes just to see the changes to the store. lo and behold the owner had not stopped pulling the issues. I’ve returned yearly since then and a stack of books is always there for me to pick up.

This place is awesome and they are friendly. Good place to pick up a card game with friends or get really into it with D&D. No overage charge to sit and play. They have tons of games to try out plus a bunch of arcade games. Im giving it a 4 because the arcade games were kinda busted. Only a few really worked well.

ATTENTION: THIS SHOP IS A JOKE!!!!I recently visited Heroes with an interest in selling my MTG card collection. The guy behind the counter looked through the cards for less than 1 minute and tried to offer me $10 for a 300+card collection! I switftly declined the offer and went directly to a local competitor. Not only was I treated in a more welcoming and friendly manner, but my collection was more thoroughly examined to assess its value. I was then offered $40! And I gladly accepted. Moral of the story: if you are looking to sell MTG cards, steer clear of Heroes! To say they will rip you off is an enormous understatement!

Great local selection of RPG miniatures and official published materials for a variety of games. Every time Im there I usually grab a handful of new minis for my D&D campaigns. Beats ordering overpriced minis online piecemeal and paying tons in separate shipping. Heroes has saved me there. Also a solid selection of board games, and tons of gaming space in the back! The owner, Steve, graciously supports the creative endeavors of other local geeks, as hes generously allowed us to film a lot of fun scenes for our Web-Series Bagged & Bored there. This place is pretty awesome. They have a great collection of comics, figures, board games, tabletop RPG stuff, and just about every other piece of nerd paraphernalia you would want. I havent personally partaken in the tabletop gaming nights, but I did stop by on a night it was happening, and it looked like loads of fun.

Heroes is a gaming and comic book shop primarily but they also have t-shirts, toys and other unique collectibles. The staff is very friendly and you are welcome to use their backroom to hook up with friends and play a card or board game. They have games in stock and open to be used as well. The comic selection covers all the big names including comics for kids.

Staff was unfriendly...I felt like a criminal walking in there, decent selection but Ive never felt watched so hard in my life. The girl with short hair was nicish....but there was a guy, older, maybe bald, he was just not friendly at all

Great comic shop that goes beyond comic books. This place was jam packed one Saturday with gamers of all sorts. The staff seem very interested in making this place a destination for more than just comics. A great addition to Louisville.

Brought my teenage daughters who love comics and board games. Theyre happy with the selection and enchanted with the Tardis restroom and giant dragon. Would love to see some pinball or something similar for old ladies like me to engage with. Also, I think the girls would really dig D&D or other immersive games like it if they had someone to teach them. Maybe add a newbie night? All in all, love it! Thanks for bringing some fun to this corner of the world.

Very nice place to pick up old and new issues of your favorite comics. Large selection of collectibles. There are a lot of tables for tabletop top gaming and miniature games. This store has a large video game area and hosts game tournaments. Dont pass up the opportunity to use the TARDIS bathroom.
