Dan is a straight up amazing guy! This place has friendly service, great selection and the best prices on collectibles in town. You can even preorder stuff from them. I highly recommend this place to be your go to location for comics and collectibles. Just got me some GI Joe Classified Cobra Troopers and he has over 100 left!

It was not a great experience. The worker barely talked to us, or acknowledged us really and none of the newer comics had bag or boards . When we checked out, we bought 6 comics . he didnt even offer or ask if we wanted bags or boards .

Knowing I was a collector the owner reached out to me and asked if I would like to pre-order a certain item and I was thrilled to death to be able to pick it up straight at his store without paying all the extra cost of shipping and handling. Also I didnt know the product was coming and he gave me a heads up

My son and I traveled from southern Indiana to purchase his very first comic book. The employee behind the counter was friendly, answered any questions we had, and took the time to assist my son, even when he was occupied doing other tasks. I would highly recommend anyone in the market for comics, games, or collectables to check them out. Well definitely be making a return visit.

Doesnt always have the collectibles one might want, but thats less of a store problem and more of a distributor issue. Overall, cool place. Give em a shot!

As an avid collector that has enjoyed the hobby for over 35 years now I can say that this is one of the finest comic and toy shops in the world. The subscription service is first rate and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you’re new to the hobby they can recommend titles to read and get you started if you’ve been reading and/or collecting comics for decades as I have they can help you fill in the holes in your collection, keep you informed of trends and make further recommendations. The atmosphere is friendly and people actually meet and make friends there. The owner Dan says that’s the great thing about comics, they cross all borders and boundaries.

Great store for the comics novice to avid collector. I started going to the Zone when my daughter became interested in Wonder Woman. I had never been in a comic book store and was very nervous to admit that I had no idea what I was really looking for! But from the minute I walked in the employees were friendly and understanding. The owner answered my questions and helped me find age appropriate items for my girls. Weve gone there ever since! They have a great selection and are always happy to order anything special you might be looking for (so long as its still in print). Looking for something new? They always have suggestions and advice. They also have a great selection of toys and frequently keep better stock of popular toys (i.e. Star Wars and Marvel characters) than the big box stores.I have never felt uncomfortable having my kids in the store (no inappropriate language or topics). In fact, the staff always makes sure to greet my kids too, not just the adults.We always look forward to a trip to The Zone!

The Zone is by far the best comic shop in Louisville. When you walk in its clean, organized and youre always welcomed with a hello. Dan, the owner, takes the time to get to know every customer by name and what you like about comics. This really helps when youre looking for new books to read. Most shops I prefer to be in and out of, but at the Zone I look forward to hanging out for an hour to talk about comics, movies and TV shows. Another great aspect of The Zone is their customer service. If there is something youre looking for that they dont have theyll go out of their way to find it and order it for you. I wish every small business was ran like The Zone. Its much more then a comic shop its a awesome comic community.

Convenient location! I ran into Kroger with the family and when leaving I decided to treat the kids. This was the first time I have visited this store and was impressed at how clean, organized, friendly everyone was! I enjoy bookstores thoroughly and this ranks as one of the most inviting and warm (not a chain store) places to visit. Will visit again!

Great service great collection. Most stores dont have all the comics I want to read so its good to be able to grab my Red Hood comics and others all in one place.

Whenever I am in a new city, I stop by and check out the local comic shops. I stopped by this one last week while I was on vacation. Overall it was a clean and well lit shop. They had a good selection of current comics and a small back issue selection. They had some novelties and some funko stuff. One of the highlights was a large display of vintage action figures on a shelf the bordered the top of the wall. I was tempted by the micro machines that they had complete sets of that took me back to my childhood. They have signs up that say that pretty much everything is for sale so if you see something you like, it looks like you can buy it for the right price.I cant really tell if the staff was friendly or not, as they didnt talk to me at any point, but they didnt look unfriendly. Unfortunately I didnt find anything I was really looking for, but I would definitely make a return trip if I was in the area again.

Ive been going to Zone Comics for a month now. Dan, who I believe is the owner, is very friendly. He always greets everyone who walks in with a smile. The store is clean and well maintained. I started going as a “try it out” store and found that this is my go to spot for comics. Every Wednesday, I look forward to making a trip in. There is a sense of community when you walk in which I haven’t experienced in any store before. If I wasn’t tight on my work/school schedule, I could easily hang out for hours and enjoy every minute of it. For the 20th anniversary, Dan and the staff offered a big sale and free cake which was pretty cool.My only complaint is that sometimes when I get there on a Wednesday around when it opens, some of the less popular titles are already sold out or may only have 1 left. Dan will put in an order for more without any issues. If there is something you need, he will get it for you. The bigger, more popular titles are always available.I really like this store. A hobby like comics requires a great store to call your “comic home” and I’m happy to call Zone Comic Shop my “comic home.”

Great selection of comics, toys and some card games. Easy process for subscribing to your fav monthly comic. Many sought after issues surround the store, or you can pick up some issues from the shelves. I always enjoy coming here.

Was just there, they have tons of comics and figures but sadly all the figures that are open are not for sale. Whole reason I went to there store. Other the. That they have a lot of modern day figures for a few dollars more then what you buy in stores. I may just stick to eBay.

I didnt look for comics here, but the toy selection here was amazing! I wasnt necessarily wanting to leave with an out of the box Apocalypse figure, but I had to have him. Even if youre not buying the variety of toys is something to appreciate. Theyre lined all around the top of the store and are glorious. Almost more of a shrine than a shop, but glorious all the same.

This is the best place in town for comics. The owner and his staff are friendly, professional, and are adamant to make sure you find whatever you are looking for and give you good conversation alonv the way. There is an A to Z section of back issues, new items weekly from Marvel, DC, IDW, Dark Horse, Antarctic Press, and other independents. There are comics for those who are 10 and under, board games, collectible figurines, T-shirts, vintage collectibles, and various supplies. On some nights there is gaming to be had. This Zone should be your ONLY stop in town for your comic books 👍😎

Im a single dad and dont have much time to get out and nerd out LOL so on this particular night I did have time to and I stopped and I was 10 minutes late they had just closed and these people were so nice that they open the doors and still let me come in for a few minutes and look at the Star Wars toys meant the world to me great job guys!!!!!

Visited the Zone as I was traveling with my family. The store is VERY clean, open, and organized. I would say it caters more to the weekly comic book buyer and action figure/statue consumer. Their offering of back issues is minimal and when I inquired about this the person behind the counter (owner?) said he sold back issues cheap for FCBD. Understand the position, but was disappointed as back issues is what I traveled for. Enjoyed talking to the person, but probably will not return.

I have been shopping here for years and appreciate the at home atmosphere that I find. I can go in, talk about any comic and Dan is familiar with them all. There is a variety of older toys as well as newer ones... the remodel is fantastic and makes it easier to shop. I look forward to the sales and sprecial, get on the email list or browse the books and ask about preorders to be the first to receive limited edition items. Best place in Louisville BY FAR!!

Best comic Shop Ive ever been to. Very organized and easy to find merchandise. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We live about an hour away and stop in everytime we are in the area.

Stopped in yesterday to grab some comics and decided to give a new series a shot. The guy behind the counter struck up a conversation about the book and was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. He had a lot of great suggestions and was extremely helpful.

The shop has a new location in the same shopping center next to Salsaritas. With this new location, Dan (the owner) is able to provide an even better experience for his customers! Whether its new comics, graphic novels, collectibles (old & new), or action figures this comic shop will be able to meet just about anybodys needs when they walk in. Customer service, as always, is top notch and is always friendly!

Let me just say over the weekend I did my first comic book run in 15 years. I went to just about every shop in the local area. This place blew everyone else out of the water. The store had lots of backstock, excellent prices, and the store was by far the cleanest around. If you like toys, comics memoribillia then you have also come to the right place. The manager, Dan was as helpful as could be. Compared to the comic hole that my wife and I viewed at the great escape, I really cant understand why you would ever go anywhere else to buy comics.

Buy figures from wholesale and then switches them out with the common ones at Target. Beware!

I recently moved to Louisville after working at a comic shop in Chicago. While checking out the Zone yesterday, I heard the gentleman working there go on a racist diatribe while talking to another customer...and you immediately lost my business, support, and respect. Ill take my dozens of subs to a local store where my family and friends will be welcome to shop with me.
