The Walgreens on E. Broadway has always been a good place to pick up much need items in a pinch, there prices being cheaper then other places in the downtown area. The store is always clean & organized. The staff is not friendly, but efficient & fast when your ready to check out. As a note at 12:00 the store becomes very busy, the check out line much longer. If you go at that time, be prepared for a long wait, they do all they can but the influx of people on lunch break, is more then then any business could handle, expect a delay in checking out at lunch time. Just downloaded the app, its so convenient to send photos in for printing, wait for notification to say when theyre ready, & the photos are printed & ready before I enter the store. Its much easier then having to wait for that process in the store.
I scheduled a COVID vaccine and drove all the way downtown to find that the pharmacy is closed on weekends due to short staffing. I let an employee know that the website is allowing appointments to be booked for times the pharmacy is closed, and he said he doesnt know anything about that. I would suggest calling ahead (if you can get a person and not the automated system, which also did not say the pharmacy was closed) or going elsewhere.
As a healthcare worker, I depend on reliable test information and scheduling. Walgreens needs to update their pharmacy hours and availability to reflect posted closures. Huge inconvenience. I recommend calling ahead to any Walgreens stores to verify that appointments offered through the online portal are able to be fulfilled. See photo for this locations posted closures.
This is the fifth month in a row that my prescription has been sitting in their system for DAYS and still not filled. I broke my ankle and waited until the next day to pick up my prescription and they told me it hadn’t been filled because “the system” listed the medication as out of stock when it was not. I am tired of getting the run around every single month and having to come back over and over again because a prescription STILL hasn’t been filled. I have to go back three different times for every. single. prescription. I’m calling corporate. This is absolutely negligent.
Long wait times on the phone and in the store. I’ve been on hold for about 35 minutes. Someone keeps picking up and putting me back on hold. I’ve been waiting for the prescription for over a week now!!! Then they ended up hanging up on me after about 45 minutes. Not to mention the cashier lady isn’t nice she barley smiles and seems always irritated.... if they didn’t send my prescriptions here I would rather drive a little distance then to come to this Walgreens. I understand people are short staffed but there has to be a solution to the problem.
This location has gone downhill! The Pharmacy drive thru was packed. Cars were blocking parking spaces preventing people from parking to go inside store. Once inside store, the line to the Pharmacy was horrific. One lady stood in line at the counter for over 15 minutes, while we all waited. This location needs new leadership and management. Half of the time the Pharmacy drive thru is closed.
Worst Walgreens Ive ever been inside in my life!!! Dont try to use the pharmacy, it doesnt exist currently completely closed down. Would be better utilized as a homeless shelter....
All my perscriptions are up to date! love the service
Why Walgreens bought and closed the nearest Rite Aide when this place is over crowded and always a line for the pharmacy is beyond me. The line is terrible now. The phone refill service is useless and the staff are understaffed. Overworked and unappreciated. As is the pharmacy experience. Im ready to go elsewhere even up to a 15 minute drive because youre going to stand in line twice, both times at least 15 minutes anyways. Dont bother using the phone in refill line. I call a day ahead of time for that and my prescriptions are never ready. Why didnt they keep the Rite Aide location as a Walgreens? Its crazy.
I am definitely switching my pharmacy. I have visited this location for over 15 years with good experiences. Recently its horrible. Long waits inside and out, drivethru randomly closed and my meds keep being put back. Horrible!!!
Just spent 20 minutes on hold and these incompetent people running the pharmacy hung up on me. Absolutely atrocious. Every month is a war to get my prescriptions. Go. Somewhere. Else.
The are working with literally no help. Dont expect medication to be ready
Whats wrong with the Pharmacy.Short hours and inpatient staffEven when they are open, the staff is overwhelmed and stressed out..
The pharmacy is very nasty they dont answer the phone the are very rude and they dont have any respect. This is my firts experience with walgreens terrible they need to get new management and staff in the pharmacy area
Ok just like most .not a lot. Stuff on selvs . employee were rude. And very unhelpful. Worst Walgreens ever. I suggest going down the road to a diff Walgreens its the one in heart of the city.. Should be better.. Just saying
WORST WALGREENS AND WORST STAFF IN AND OUT OF PHARMACY..NEED SMARTER PEOPLE WORKING THAT ENTIRE WALGREENS 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
If you call the pharmacy they put you on hold forever then hang up on you (this has happened to me 3 times just today). When there are issues with your prescriptions they don’t inform you. They have trouble getting certain meds in stock and are extremely unhelpful in fixing the problem. Everyone I have dealt with has been unprofessional and often rude.
Can you guys really need to get them some help location waiting to pick up the medication that’s been ready for a couple days is unacceptable turning people away because you’re understaff isn’t a valid reason do better Walgreens
Long long waits, rude staff. Prescriptions are never ready. Going to stop coming to this pharmacy.
The pharmacy staff were beyond rude. I was picking up a prescription that had been called in the day before. I showed up at 8am. After waiting 5 minutes at the counter, I was finally helped. I was told they had just gotten the script that morning and it would be ready at 9am. I came back at 9:30am. I waited at the counter for another 5 plus minutes before someone came. She immediately had an attitude. Her only words were “10 minutes”. I told her I was there at 8 am and told it would be ready at 9am. She only said “10 minutes” and walked away. I sat down and waited. They never announced it was ready. I waited 15 minutes and walked back to the counter. Her attitude had not improved nor did the rest of my experience. I finally got my meds and couldn’t wait to never go back to this Walgreens.
Had photos developed here and they came out scratched with the coloring wrong - will not be back
I have never had a bad experience shopping here.
Its easy to find what youre looking for, the cashiers are friendly and helpful
Security guards aren’t enforcing social distancing, and I was asked by a cashier to REMOVE MY MASK so she could ID me?? I haven’t had any other cashier at any location ask for something like that throughout the entire pandemic, and I find it a bit mental that someone would make the request??
The staff is amazing at this location. Friendly, helpful, and respectful. Love the staff. I have shopped here everyday for 12 years, and have always had a good experience. Cathy has to be my favorite. Your very lucky to have her as an employee. She has always gone above and beyond to help you. Thank you Walgreens for having a wonderful staff.
They normally have what I am looking for. I guess the only thing bad I can say is they don’t always have a big selection of drinks. Which I understand they have limited space.
Rather large store, clean and well stocked. The staff is friendly. The pharmacy staff in particular. However, the parking lot can be intimidating due to a number of homeless people who are panhandling there always. The uniformed security at the door, and throughout store, doesnt help with the feeling of tension. Even though I understand the need.
My experience here was horrible imI not from here I had a Western Union sent to me so I go here bad decision. First the lady at the front was so rude then had trouble getting my money 😡😠 no one could help asked to use phone they denied me that so I had to walk to taco Bell where they let me use phone then came back got it straighten out myself and when got my money didnt get a thank you I just got an attitude from staff and eyes rolled so very bad experience
Typical downtown Walgreens. Most of the staff members are friendly and helpful. I have witnessed several instances of shoplifters being chased and/or yelled at by security as well as other people being escorted out of the store because they are blacklisted due to prior shoplifting offenses. For anyone that lives downtown, Walgreens is the best and most convenient option for all of the basics, and the characters that inhabit this particular location can be entertaining at times.
Nice place
I had to click 1 star because theres not a no-star option. Most store personnel are actually very friendly & helpful. The problem is the pharmacy. They repeatedly fail to fill RXs correctly, refuse to fill valid RXs (with false explanations, or no explanation). They lie about calling, or receiving calls from doctors offices. They are extremely abusive if a customer wants an explanation, or points out an error. They have been investigated by the state pharmacy board in the past. AND doctors offices hate to deal with them due to their own experiences and the many, many, many complaints from multiple patients. ALWAYS check the accuracy of your RX before you leave the store!!! ALWAYS call your doctors office, when the pharmacy says THEY will, because they usually dont, or they do call but give incorrect information, or they give YOU incorrect information about what the Dr. said. Check your insurance records for payments for medications you DIDNT receive. And be prepared to be falsely accused of ANYTHING if (when) they screw up... Avoid the screeching, screaming crazy person by using a different pharmacy!
The people in the pharmacy are always so friendly and helpful. I was originally a customer of CVS and Im really glad I made the switch.
Manager chris was very helpful and competent in resolving a credit card duplicate billing problem. it was resolved in minutes after other staff spent much longer being obstinate and rude. kudos to him to being able to manage this store.
I dont live far from this store yet I usually drive past it to go to another location. Why I decided to go in a couple of nights ago I dont know. Huge mistake. The cashiers are rude. They dont even speak when youre standing in front of them checking out.
The Pharmacy staff is very helpful and care about the patients well being....
Very clean. Convenient. Respectable
Very nice pharmacy staff ....sometimes there are some shady people hanging out in the parking lot ....caution
Very friendly employees. Store is clean, but they need to work on picking up the garbage in their parking lot.
This place is horrible the people are rude they take forever Ive never seen a cashier take an hour to change out three people.
Gave me a counterfeit $10 bill as change from a $20. I tried to tell them that this bill came from this store but they didnt believe me.Check your bills when you get change from here!
A little backstory- I was in Louisville staying across from the Yum! Center for a family reunion which happened to be the same weekend as Mohammed Alis funeral. I had been having extreme stomach/abdominal pains for a few weeks and tried to find an urgent care. Unfortunately because of the ceremony at the Yum! Center the urgent care was closed. We ended up taking an ambulance to the hospital who told me I would have to wait three hours. I said screw this and decided to go here to get naproxen untill the next day. Unfortunately theres no more ambulance by the time i was done and I asked the clerk for a number for a taxi to get home. A nearby leaving pharmacy tech could see that I was in pain and offered my father and I a ride back to our hotel, a good ways away in all of the Ali traffic. I believe her name was DiAvery. She was a very sweet girl and went above and beyond to help us get home, not to mention she refused help for gas money! I can give more details if someone would like to contact me but am very thankful for this young woman!
FANTASY Glory Hallelujah its a great store
I just called to see if thry carry Kombucha, and the lady hung up on me. How rude!
Nice clean fast pharmacy
Inattentive staff, slow pharmacy, but its clean and organized at least.
Why is there always so much trash in the parking lot? I guess its a downtown thing.
Fast clean and friendly staff inside, but littered parking lot
Clean and organized
Does it sell fidget spinners
Whats not to love?
Good
Nice
Great
Long lines at pharmacy and the front registers. Pharmacy is closed on weekends due to staff shortages. Parking lot full of garbage. A lot of things on the shelves are small in numbers. The employees are some what friendly. I know one of them since before he started working there
