This is an excellent little shop. They have current and fair priced games. The customer service is superb. Very friendly and helpful. There is tons of room so that needs like myself and play games with other nerds. Truly a great little spot.

The best place to go play, trade, and buy Magic the Gathering. They have everything you need and more. Go check em out! Come to a FNM or pre release and see for yourself. I drive an hour and a half to shop and play there over my local options.

I am from TN and was in Louiseville on a trip with my wife. Called 3 magic shops ahead of time to see if the shops carried older magic cards. One shop did not carry any Magic. The second shop said they would call me back with what they had on hand but never did. I called Bluegrass and spoke with Marty who went over the cards with me via the phone that were in store. My wife and I went in later that night before closing time and Marty and Brennan took the time to make us feel welcome and helped us find the older magic cards I wanted. I ended up buying quite a few cards to add to my Magic collection. I will make the trip to Bluegrass again as this store and owners have made me a loyal customer. Honestly, I have been to hundreds of Magic shops over the years and NEVER, have I seen as many older cards at one time as I found here. I had the pleasure of visiting this store for an L5R tournament. It was a fantastic experience, the event was ran very well and they really went all out. While I was here I was surprised by how many other people were in the store gaming! Its great to see people coming together to play board and card games. I am moving in from out of town and wanted to see what the Magic scene in Louisville has to offer. This store is clean, well lit, spacious, and organized. The owner is friendly, and the customers are nice. We chatted for a bit and he sold me some sweet cards for a good price. This store has all the makings that a good Magic store should have, it will be worth your time to check it out.

Amazing place. Just walking through the doors made me more attractive and put 75lbs on my max bench press. Staff is great, events are great. They treat you like family, best gaming spot in Louisville!

This was my first visit but I will definitely be back. The man working was extremely friendly and a pleasure to chat with. He answered all my questions with a smile and gave me a 15% discount on my copy of Lotus (Originally priced at $29.99). This only applies to board games to those interested. They have an excellent selection of both board games and collectible card games. Not just the major games but also some harder to find ones. The prices were very reasonable too. Im very happy to see a local shop like this with decent prices. There are even a series of large tables in the back to play games on!

Bluegrass is my favorite place to go for all my Magic supplies. The owners are great people and are always kind to me and my friends. When I go to either play at a Magic event or just to meet up with friends, we always have room and are never bothered by anyone. The games and things they host are always well coordinated and I love it. I will always recommend this store.

I was on my way to their recent L5R Tetsubo tourney, and due to an accident on the highway, I was delayed arrival by 30 minutes after the tournament started.They still allowed me to join with a bye, and play in the rest of the tournament.Great space, friendly staff, and easy to find.

My boyfriend and I called into this shop to see where exactly they were located, and to make sure they were doing the 2013 Pre Release of Magic The Gathering. The man on the phone said the event had already started but would be willing to fit my boyfriend in once we got there, so we got the directions and headed there. When we got there, not 10 minutes after being on the phone with him, the man said they werent going to fit him in. My boyfriend explained that he had called and was told theyd fit him in, they said I didnt think you were coming. So we just went ahead without you.. So he asked if hed be able to just buy the cards and not play in the tournament, as hes done where we live in NKY a couple of times. The guy went off about being a tournament store, and how he wasnt able to do that. The stores weve been to up here, were actual tournament as well. Never really had a bad experience in any other game stores, until we went to this one. The most unfriendly and rude people weve ever encountered. The first guy walked away after clarifying he was a tournament store, and there was a second guy sitting behind the counter just glaring at us like we shouldnt have been in there. Didnt say one word. The selection of cards and merchandise was excellent, but I wouldnt go there again because of the people. They were incredibly rude.

Took my 7 year old in today to play yu gi oh. Let me start of by saying I am clueless about the game. Went in spoke to the owner and he set us up with a guy to make sure my son was playing right. Which he was all of the people we came in contact with were amazing! Not only did they play him they helped him to make sure he could win. I have the happiest 7 year old on the planet. Thank you we will see you all again soon.

The owner wanted 225 for acard I can get all day for less online near mint.Wound up buying it for 181 tax and shippingincluded from Troll and Toad. As a worker in asmall business I can confidently say its placeslike this that refuse to adapt to the onlinemarketplace that fail. Between online magicgroups that already sell 10% under tcg low to lgsthat operate off tcg low theres no good reasonto overpay for things like this. In short, if youve got money to waste and decisions to regret Moody is your guy.

This is the worst place I have ever been. this guy behind the counter took 5 cards from my magic the gathering deck and told me he would offer me 38 dollars for them. The total value of the stack of cards he held was 200 dollars. Thats dishonest and I would not trust anyone who never offered at least a price that is not so insulting. Never trust anyone thats willing to rip you off, thats common sense. this guy that worked behind the counter is also one of the rudest and most disrespectful people I have ever met. The positive review on this hell hole is obviously one of his friends trying to help a buddies business.

Moodys the dude, and the shop is great. Ive been going there since I was 12 and dont plan on stopping anytime soon.

Its owned by a local couple that really know and love their products. They have a large selection of boards and card games. They host bi-weekly board games events on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. They start at noon and go until midnight.

Great place good deals

This store advertised a midnight blizzard draft, for the release date of Oath of the Gatewatch. I traveled across the city to make it and the owner cancelled on us, because there were only 4 drafters. If youre going to advertise a draft despite bad weather, then you should be ready to deliver. Sadly, Ive gotten used to this store not following through with what it advertises, and thats not a good place to be. Ive had enough. At this point I wouldnt even go back there for a GPT.

I bought some yu-gi-oh packs and got really bad pulls. I dueled a kid that was annoying as crap who used a lot of tokens and got kicked out when I cracked him. There was a guy who said he worked there and he was rude as crap. I would give 1 star but I enjoyed cracking the token kid so 2 stars. Im also the guy who comes in and pees on the toilet seat since you all wanna be so disrespectful.

Not a bad selection for yugioh and magic alike, dont personally know the owners so i cant give an accurate response to them, but as a store itself, not to shabby.

Picked up magic again at the origins prerelease. I have non stop went back since on Fridays and Saturdays for FNM and then modern play. Its pretty relaxed and Ive never seen the store owners be rude to anyone. I sold a few cards here as well the pricing on cards is done off of star city games sell price. overall this was a great place to play MtG. And although I did not participate in the board games or yugioh there were plenty of people there playing those as well.
