Staff seems like theyre in a bad mood, not a very good selection of rocket parts. I actually recommend going to scale reproductions if you are not finding what you want here. Lots of supply from them. Picture shows what type of stuff I got from there. If you want the smaller build kits they have those at hobbytown USA but mostly no parts

This is my favorite local hobby store and has been for years. Great selection of RC cars, trucks, boats and planes. Definitely my first place Id choose for spare parts to be in stock for most popular hobby RC stuff.

The staff was very nice and friendly. After my purchase I asked questions regarding other things I owned and they said that I could return with them and they would order the items that I needed to repair them and tune them up with. I had done business with them in years past but thought that they had closed due to the big box stores taking everything over. I will definitely be returning even though things may be a couple dollars more just for the knowledge and personal service and better selection that they have. Right now businesses like this one needs our help because they often get overlooked.

Great when open. HobbyTown website says theyre open today. Called number, answering machine says hours are 10-5. Drive an hour with two kids. Theyre closed. Small print out says theyre closed New Years Eve and New Years day. Person actually looked at us from inside the store and didnt attempt to acknowledge us or say sorry.

Fun store. Has avaeything you need for model cars, planes, trains, boats. They have RC everything, gas and electric. I believe they even repair rc cars too? Not sure. But amazing store

I highly recommend this store for any hobby needs. I have a six-year-old son with a high-end RC car that he crashes frequently and these guys are so friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions and service. Typically with these things, its a very easy quick fix and they will either line you up with the correct parts or occasionally do it for you. Colin and River where the gentlemen that helped me out today truly appreciate their time and effort getting me racing again! We also got another rocket which is such a blast. Give this store try you definitely wont regret it!

I walked into this store on a whim, and I loved it. Theyve got so many great things in here come I will come back and do some more shopping.

Good service. Employees are polite and helpful. As I was recovering from a serious double surgical intervention at the time, the employees were very helpful with bringing some products to the chair (I couldnt stay on my feet for long) I was sitting in so I could determine what exactly I needed. It was tedious and time consuming for everyone involved, but they were patient throughout.

Its always a great experience walking in. The staff are knowledgeable, and very kind. They obviously take a lot of pride in their business, the storefront is always immaculate. A fantastic place to go for any hobby. The stock is always rotating, so every visit is a little different. I would give it more stars if I were able to!

Thought I bought a T-Maxx truck from another store. Tell them that it didnt want to start they said they would not fix it. Call HobbyTown they said bring it up there they would look at it for us about 10 minutes later are Traxxas truck was running and everything thank you very much for your help.

An absolutely lovely store. Never have I left empty handed! The Gunpla section is the best in all of Louisville, with some kits being as low as $10. Fair pricing and a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend!

Great store for the hobby enthusiast. From model cars to ship to planes. They have railroad supplies and radio controlled models. I also noticed some metal detectors. The place is clean and organized.

The staff at this store, were absolutely the most rude people I have ever encountered. I know it’s Christmas and you’re busy but that gives you no right to be nasty to people that are planning on buying products from your store. I will absolutely never ever return to shop at this store again. Also, if you do plan on buying something at this store, understand, the return policy sucks. In-store credit, really? Absolutely ridiculous in today’s world.

Great local shop with a large variety of items for kids and adults to explore their current and future hobby interests. The prices are fair and the shop owner and family are friendly and helpful. I always look forward to going in. Being a woodworker and having the more than occasional need for CA glue, I found their selection and pricing to be second to none. Ill be in again shortly to cover off upcoming birthday gift needs for my sons.

They Never have what I go in after (usually hpi or losi parts ++) and almost everything Is severely overpriced. My biggest issue with this store aside of price is how inaccessible the rc parts are to the guest. There is nothing worse than going into a store and having to ask to see every tiny thing because its all behind the counter. I want to be able to walk in and look around, read packaging so on. In my opinion they are loosing buisness based on this alone because who wants to ask to see every tiny thing? (Not me for sure). Take some advice, if you want a good hobby shop for RC related items check out asylum extreme (indiana store in particular is awesome) or scale reproductions because they are better suited for rc needs. If you are looking for quick traxxas parts then hobbytown might be your place.

Bought a SCX Rally Extreme slot car system for my nephews birthday yesterday. Played it for about 10 minutes and then the power supply stopped working. Tried to get an exchange for the same product today and cashier refused because it was opened!? How do you know if the product was defective without opening it? And why on earth would I want to exchange something that was never opened with the same product that was never opened!? Your return policy is dumb and too strict!

Dont listen to whiny customer reviews, these guys are great. Yeah, sometimes things you buy might be broken from the manufacturer, not hobbytowns fault. They work to right whats wrong. Great guys and super helpful. I had an issue with wiring some led lights to my yeti score body and one of the guys offered to do it for me. Awesome customer service.

Owner refused to allow $1,000.00 item box to be opened to see the product (Quad). Apparently, others have opened new boxes and never purchased. I have purchased more than $2,000 from this store in 3 years and know them well and they know me well. Very poor customer service to tell a customer they cannot see what’s in the box”. I am a respected SVP of a large regional bank. They need to amend this practice or continue to struggle with this business.

Convenient location to I-265. Friendly and attentive staff. They only carry Testors MM and Citadel paints in bottles, but have Tamiya rattle cans. They have a limited selection of aircraft and armor models, but they carry a wide range of the types of aircraft (airliners, military, etc). I recommend a visit.

As with another review-Buyer Beware. Bought 1 quad copter, would not even get off the ground. Had to drive back to the store=isnt working properly. They did allow me to trade to another, problems with it. After problems with the second one I said I just wanted my money back-Oh No, not our Policy. The posting of this Policy is on a cabinet you would have to be on your knees to read, the second is covered up as soon as you put merchanside on the counter. They state the web site with their name is not theirs, but they want to quote from a return policy on it that basically says, if you open the box (which you have to do so see if it works) there is no return.NOTE: IF IT ISNT YOUR WEB SITE, HOW CAN IT BE YOUR POLICY?If you want to talk in circles, buy something from them. I got more information and possible help from the manufacturer. It appears the battery operated gizmos have a bad track record from them.I have it back, do not know if it will work

I came in wanting a blade 230s bind n fly... They didnt have it but they had ready to fly... My hobby card wouldnt work there because it was out of lexington...but the owner let me check it out an i wanted it even more... He held a good conversation with me made me feel welcomed an at home! Which they failed to do in lexington. He even made up for the hobby card not working buy giving me a discount you can tell his interest is to take care of his customers!!! I really enjoyed my visit an will always drive a hour to come see him an deal with anyone else!!! Such a great guy... He trys to save you money not to get what he can get out of you!!! I would recommend all my friends to come to this hobby shop!

I called them for stadium truck 2.2 wheels and was told yeah, we got em and tires too. I showed up and was presented with touring car wheels and nothing else I needed. NOT AWESOME SERVICE!!!

Bobby here, love this store and all the great service these people do. when it comes to newbies in the rc world they have all the great traxxas products to get you started. Tons of great priced models and Gunpla, The track racers they have all good deals on upgrades and hop ups from the venom batteries to all traxxas hop ups! love this store and the people who work there. they take care of every customer that comes through the doors. theyre willing to work with you to make a problem right. I dont get why there are so many lame customer reviews over the slightest mistake. Theyve worked with tons of people while ive been wondering around in there and in my option they do the best work and customer service of all the shops in Louisville!

This is the best rc store in Louisville. I live in okolona, Louisville scale reproduction is like 3 miles from my home. But I optionally drive about 10 miles just to come here and get the customer service and appreciation that is deserved to a loyal customer. They never get a part that I ask for wrong they regularly restock parts as needed to keep parts in house and lower pit times. And there parts are cheaper. I legitimately can say that rc parts and anything rc related is cheaper here. All rc heads should shine here.
