Excellent coffee and good food selection. Knocked off 1 star because no low-fat or no fat milk selection for lattes. The only alternative for milk is almond- no oat or soy milk. Good, friendly service.
One of the best coffee shops in Lubbock, would highly recommend to anyone look for a nice spacious place to study or read. I asked the barista, Marissa what she recommended and she suggested I try some of their in house lavender syrup in my latte and it was absolutely delicious. If you haven’t, you definitely have to try it!
Rose latte is so pretty. The fact that the barista went out of her way to help me celebrate my friends birthday with cake and candle from the west table makes this place from now on occupy a special place in my heart.
I like local flavor, not the franchise stamped coffee. Modern atmosphere, sophisticated. They know the authenticity of coffee European style. When you ask for a cappuccino, its made the way it should be. Friendly staff and tasty baked delights. I can recommend this establishment.
Found this coffee shop for our Sunday morning coffee. Good real coffee! My macchiatto was superb! Marissa was so kind to us - a couple of Aussies looking for proper coffee. She gave us some good tips on places to visit while in Lubbock and explained a little about the Lubbock area. Fantastic service and did I mention brilluant coffee?
I’m staying in Lubbock for a few days, and know nothing of the area, so I decided to visit The Coffee shop. I immediately fell in love with the interior of both the coffee shop and the adjoining business; especially the black tile floors which my barista Marissa, who had an impressive knowledge of the history in downtown Lubbock, explained that they were the original tiles placed. It was a much appreciated touch to the already thoughtful making of my macchiato. I intend on visiting again if I ever find myself in an unexpectedly passionate area with a developing sense of progress.
I was traveling through Lubbock and decided to check out the desolate streets of downtown. I stumbled on the coffee shop and was very unimpressed by the pretentious atmosphere given off by the decor and the other customers. This being said, I was warmly greeted by a wonderful barista named Marissa. She made my coffee and my day. It’s a shame that I have to keep moving on, because despite how unimpressed I was with the coffee shop’s atmosphere, the friendly and genuine nature of the barista would have made the coffee shop my go to spot.
Cool space, but I did not feel very welcomed by the barista, I had very high expectations going in, but I was not impressed with my drink. Perhaps just an off day...
Amazing coffee! Staff is super friendly, and the environment is very relaxed and quiet. Perfect way to start the day!
I try my best to get to The Coffee Shop every morning on my way to work. The coffee is worth driving a little out of the way. Yum!
I work within walking distance of the shop and grab coffee there a couple times a week. Its really great! The coffee is fresh, the other ingredients are good, the pastries are AMAZING. Marissa does an excellent job, especially on specialty espresso drinks, and I always feel welcome/well-served. Like most single-worker coffee shops, its a bit slow when theyre very busy, but if you call ahead, theyll usually have your drink waiting for you when you come in. Its rare that theyre busy enough to be slow, but the busiest times in my experience are 7:30-8am (right before work) and 12:30-1pm (end of lunch hour). Cutter and Bri, the newer baristas, are also great, and all three of them know the city well and can make recommendations.
Went in. Waited a few minutes. Wandered around. Poked my head in the back. No workers to be found. Debated just making my own coffee, decided to just leave.
Great coffee with interesting flavors. This place is definitely worth checking out
I love the coffee here and it’s so chill, it’s actually nice to study at. There’s also a wonderful restaurant next door
This place is great. Good atmosphere, good drinks, very friendly staff. I just wish they were open later in the day.
I learned of this coffee shop from some coworkers of mine. We have been as a group when a barista named Marisa has been the one who has helped us most of the time. The past two times we have been in the coffee she has had quite the attitude. Customer service is what sales a place. Today we decided to bring two new people with us and they decided not to order anything because of her attitude and how she was slamming things down.
Nice quiet coffee shop with a unique atmosphere. Marissa always provides friendly and prompt service and the pastries are fantastic and are made next door.
Nice place with legit good coffee. None of that Starbucks BS. Only with they had pastries
I really, really wanted to try this. ....unfortunately was not open Sunday 9/22 by 9:20, with no sign of anyone inside. :(
Lindsay is charming! And the decor is elegant yet minimalistic. Great atmosphere!
I work within walking distance to this shop. I have been here twice and Marissa has never made me feel welcome. I come in with a group of coworkers and we seem to bother her. If we ask questions she is very short or says she doesnt know. She never meets us with a smile or thanks us for coming in. Needless to say I am not happy with the customer service and may not come back.
Excellent place for business meeting; quiet, low key. No one bothers you.
Slow service. Cute for a sunday morning. Great expresso. Quiet. Not very busy. Great place to study.
Another successful venture for the owner of West Table, cant wait to see what they come up with next.
Good espresso and a more quiet and professional atmosphere than other coffee shops in the area.
Best coffee and their espresso is super tasty and super smoothie but we only get super best coffee from the new manager.
Great coffee! They even have some locally roasted, the pastries are made in house and also good.
Wasnt expecting much. The coffee isnt very good, but the hipsters havent really found it yet so its fairly quiet.
It has a great space and wasnt crowded. Awesome chai with coconut milk!
Try the spicy cold brew.
Great coffee selection and music. Perfect study space.
A really great cup of coffee downtown - finally! The Coffee Shop, owned and run by the fine folks at The West Table (Fine upscale American in the same building), have put together local and international bean choices for a myriad of coffee flavors. This is not another American marketing driven chain (ahem...) but a take on flavors and aromas as coffee is found in Italy or France. In-house baked pastries complement the coffees well. Very adult forward thinking, you wont find a fripa-frapa-douche-i-ato here. Well mannered, well thought out for the professional business crowd. Communal seating brings the community together and side chairs allow for some private time. A much needed spot in the upcoming downtown LBK.
Coffee was not great and the lady had a bad attitude. Heads up, they don’t offer iced coffee.
This is an oasis in downtown LBK. Love it here.
Wonderful atmosphere, top notch service, and some of the best espresso in Lubbock
Very sweet barista, good cup of coffee
Love the atmosphere and the coffee was delish
Why in the world would you have a coffee shop that opens at 9:00 AM?
Great place to meet and talk.
