We love the Vision Center of West Texas. Everyone is so kind ans the doctors are amazing!!

The Vision Center of West Texas has been my vision specialist for MANY years and the helpful, caring optometrists, assistants, frame shop personnel, EVERY member of the team have been on top of their game, caring for my eyesight. Most recently, an eye infection caused an immediate need to be seen and I was scheduled the day I called, care given and appropriate prescriptions ordered. It was a Friday and I was fearful of the issue increasing over the weekend but thankfully, my go to team was there for me. I would recommend this team of care professionals to anyone looking for the best vision specialists in the city.

The Vision Center has been an integral part of both of my girls success. They have worked with us all along the way and I highly recommend them!

P1: This is by far the worst experience Ive ever had with an optometrist/ophthalmologist office. Initially I visited one of their offices in Lubbock to receive an updated prescription and during the tail end of my visit the optometrist even mentioned that she thought my new prescription was odd because it had deferred from my previous so severely. The new glasses were ordered and sure enough the prescription was way off and I had to go back in for another exam. The second exam yielded another different prescription that was significantly different from the first, repeat the process and of course once they arrive (yet again) they are uncomfortable and incorrect. Frustrated I returned to my optometrist in Houston, which was 8 hours away, and finally received a prescription that worked for me. Unfortunately though, because I had to go through another doctors office to get my proper correction, I still had to go through this place because I purchased frames through them. I ended up having to pay way over the normal price for glasses because I had to get so many different exams done that exhausted my yearly discount on eye glasses.P2: I lost my glasses during the summer and having a new pair shipped back to me in Houston has been an absolute nightmare. It was important to me that I received my new glasses within two weeks so I offered to pay for extra shipping. Technician Cody talked me out of it saying it was pointless, and so I didnt. When the stuff they shipped finally showed up they sent me lenses without frames, so I had to call to remind them that I paid for both. From there they said they would order me frames and have them sent to me as soon as possible. Again I said I would pay extra for expedited shipping and again they rejected the idea. Shortly after discussing that they told me that the initial frames I paid for had already been sitting around the office for days and apparently they had lost them up until that point so they never actually got shipped. Cody then said hed have the shipping taken care of and they would be here yesterday (from the day I write this). Oh he also told me to call them if I didnt receive them the day they were expected, and whenever I went to do so the office was actually closed all day that day. Thanks bud. :)TLDR; Were coming up on three weeks now and I still havent received new glasses. Im 90% sure that the lenses they sent me as well are probably the incorrect prescription from their office but cant find out for sure because Ive been lead on for frames that never showed up.Terrible experience. Hope you dont go through the same.

Very professional and caring! Dr. Riley truly loves his job and serving others. After searching in Lubbock for years to find a good eye doctor, we have finally found one! Excellent service!

Dr. Riley and his staff take great care of their patients! Dr. Riley takes the time to answer questions and provide detail about your eye health. Through his care and the Vision Therapy Center, my son was able to correct a vision issue that made reading, writing, etc… extremely challenging. Recommend highly!!

I switched to the Vision Center last year when my insurance changed. I had heard good things through friends, and they were right! I have had two exams now, and both times the staff and facility were above-and-beyond. I do not experience long wait times, everything is clean and well-kept and the doctors and staff are professional and personable.

I loved the exam with Dr Reber. He was great and so informative.The appointment reminder system was horrible. I only need one reminder for an appointment.....I got emails, phone calls and texts.....all of which I confirmed. I realize the number of no shows in any office is problematic; however, a call system that calls a minimum of five times is excessive.Dr.Reber, I would give five stars to.....the call system is a one star. I need a reminder, but only one.

Timely, courteous, attentive. Dr. Rebber takes the time to explain in detail at the level you need. Everyone LISTENS.

Wonderful environment! Soft music, perfect lighting and comfortable chairs to sit while waiting. Staff is so friendly. Wait time is minimal. Doctors are respectful and really care about taking time to get you the right prescription for you. Extremely thorough.

I have always received fast, quality care at the Vision Center. The staff is very friendly, and Dr. Riley makes sure that all of my questions are answered. He never makes it seem that hes just in a rush to get to the next patient. I recommend them.

My son has been seeing Dr. Riley since he was five years old . He is now 18 . My son has cerebral palsy . We needed an eye specialist for my son and Dr. Riley was recommended to us through his PT and OT specialists at the time . He has been amazing in so many ways with my son Ray . He started vision therapy at 5 and it helped tremendously! He continues to see my son. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Riley ! He is the best of the best . It was a blessing to have him referred to our family . God continue to Bless Dr. Riley and his practice. 👓❤️

I called to make an appointment to get my eyes checked and needed them done that day since I couldn’t see. They got me right in. The front desk staff was very nice at getting me checked in. I didn’t wait long before I was called back. When I was called the lady that took me back was not friendly at all. She did my eye pressure check and then told me to stare into this thing that takes a picture of my eye, since I wasn’t doing it right she roughly pushed my head to where it was supposed to go. The student came in and he was better than the actual doctor. He did wonderful and was very kind. When the dr came in he was loud and obnoxious. I had a few questions and he really didn’t want to answer them and seemed aggravated I was asking a question. As I was leaving the room I heard him say “no more new patients”. They then took me up front to look at glasses. Every pair in there was $250 and up for JUST the frame! I asked for my prescription and left. This place made me feel unwanted and I will never visit again!! They apparently dont like new clients or want there business.

The staff members and doctor were extremely amazing and helpful! Will definitely be back.

Medical professionals at the Vision Center are the best. They are so nice and reassuring. So glad to see that Dr. Reiber is back!

Dr. And staff were friendly and professional. And the atmosphere in the facility was very relaxing and comfortable. Pricing a little more than some other places but I would rather pay a little more and get that personal touch that you don’t get at those places that herd you through like cattle. I will definitely use Vision Center of West Texas from now on. I have been wearing glasses for 16 years and this was the best experience I have ever had.

My annual eye examination appointment with Dr. Reber was completed quickly and easily. His assistant completed the screening and Dr. Reber completed the exam explaining his evaluation of my eyes and vision completely. I would highly recommend him to anyone for vision care.

The best, friendliest staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Every test I needed was performed and thoroughly explained to me. I have not received my glasses yet, too soon, but I am sure that experience will be just as good.

Dr. Riley and the rest of the staff are great! You dont feel like they are herding cattle trying to get as many people processed as they can in a day. They stop and talk to you like a person. Hard to find that these days.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! We travel six hours each way just to see Dr. Reber!

A great place. Everyone there was great, and treated me with great respect, as if I were one of their own family member. I would recommend it to anyone.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Fallin was thorough in his exam and education related to my rapidly diminishing vision and had a sense of humor about my need for vision correction.

The service was okay, but I’ve been completely in the dark on the status of contacts that I ordered and paid for, nearly two weeks ago. It doesn’t help that I speak to a machine every time I call either. I was told it would take 5-7 days to arrive at my home, but no one has bothered to give me some sort of update or even schedule a follow-up appointment with me. In the very least, a tracking number would have been nice.

Dr. Rawlinson was wonderful! The support staff was equally kind, professional and caring. I knocked off one star because:a) They lost my original appointment;b) I took the time to enter all my information in their online system and it didnt do any good. I had to complete all the same forms in person when I showed up. Thats a process issue and should be addressed.Aside from those two inconveniences, it was a great experience and Ive already recommended that my wife go to them.

Dr. Reber is amazing and is very thorough about what he is doing. He explains things in a way that you can understand. The only complain was the receptionist was not that friendly. I was at the front desk before an receptionist actually helped me.

Dr. Kelly was very informative and professional, yet kind and compassionate. I loved his Assistant as well.

I would highly recommend Dr. Alexandra Rawlinson. I was promptly seen at the appointed time. I had been experiencing some difficulties with my vision when using the computer so, during my annual exam, along with usual tests given, she spent quite a bit of time asking questions and observing me using a computer so that she was eventually able to determine the problem and solution. Very much appreciated her spending that much time with me.

Arrived early for appointment. Was actually seen early, to my surprise and delight. Optometrist, Dr. Rollinson, was very knowledgeable and congenial. She put me at ease immediately. She was also very thorough in my exam and explained what she was doing while she was doing it. I couldnt be more pleased.

Dr Fallen and some of the staff are wonderful! BUT the prices of their glasses are outrageous! They need to carry at least a variety of frames that are less than $150. Not everyone can afford their prices.

I always have such a pleasant experience visiting the Vision Center. Dr. Fallin is exceptional and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I always recommend The Vision Center to my friends and family!

So friendly, knowledgeable, quick and efficient!

The doctor was great. Im glad they have up to date technology and services. Lenses are a bit expensive, but they are in house and good quality. You could take your prescription elsewhere if you want.

Dr.Riley is excellent. He is great with my son and going to the eye doctor is no longer a stressful event.

The BEST place to do optometry services. The nurses are so friendly also Dr. Kelly & Dr. Alexandra are so professional. I went with my family there 5 people with different ages from 6y to 36y and they served us in a very short time. I highly recommend this center and definitely, we will come back again for a check-up.

Everyone was personable and professional. The young lady who was tasked to come out to the vehicles of each arriving patient was extremely nice and considerate. I did ask to be fitted for contact lenses, but the doctor did not acknowledge that request. Perhaps the technician did not pass along the information. Overall, a great visit. Frames and glasses are priced quite high, so I opted to not buy there and left with my prescription to buy elsewhere.

The staff are very courteous, prompt, and answer questions politely. The offices are extremely clean as well as spacious. The choices for frames are reasonable and effective. An overall thumbs up as well as extremely professional.

I truly liked the fact that both myself and my wife could be seen at the same time. It really meant a lot to me. The staff was very professional and courteous to us. I had a stye that was making life miserable! They were able to work me in same day, take care of me, and get me back to work without having to take any more time than a long lunch. Staff is EXTREMELY friendly and the doctors are amazing!

Dr Reber was amazing and very professional. He provided a lot of great information and corrected a previous eye doctor’s serious neglect to provide a quality and accurate eye prescription. Very thorough exam without wasted time. Would highly recommend.

Great experience but was highly disappointed with the $170 contact fitting fee. I have never had to pay that much for a contact fitting. Would definitely go somewhere else over paying for that fee. The fee was more than my actual contacts.

Everyone was quick to help and answer questions. The doctor addressed my eye problems quickly and expertly.

The Doctor I had was so nice and thorough. I’ve had brain cancer and brain surgery and now my memory is bad and I don’t remember his name. He was super nice and sweet though. When I went to pick out my frames maybe the lady’s name was Clarissa or something like that. She helped me so much. I told her I always picked out the wrong glasses so I needed help getting some cool ones. I had an idea what I wanted and we couldn’t find them in the women’s section so we went to the men’s and I got a cool pair of Ray Bans. I don’t live in Lubbock so I’m just waiting for them to be ready and mailed to me. This is where I’ll go from now on.

My son, 9, saw Dr. Riley. He was amazing! He made him feel so comfortable! He was fun and energetic! We weren’t sure what to expect and he knew that surgery was a possibility, so he was very nervous! But Dr. Riley took all that away and made him feel completely safe! We have another appointment next week and he can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend!

Dr. Reber was very knowledgeable about my condition even though it is an uncommon one, thank goodness. I feel better about his diagnosis and treatment plan than that of a couple other doctors I’ve seen this week.

Wonderful care here. Very low wait time. The doctors and staff are very professional and kind. I had to get contacts for the first time in my life and they made sure to get the correct fit. They made sure I was able ti pit in amd remove the contacts before leaving. Great place.

I actually look forward to going for my vision and macular degeneration checks due to the friendliness of the staff and I always enjoy seeing Dr. Fallons smiling face. He is such a nice and pleasant young man. I trust him implicitly with my vision.

I appreciate the concern for spreading the virus in checking temperature. Dr. Rebers staff was very informative regarding each test, two of which were new. Dr. Reber always takes the time to explain what is going on with my eye health and answer my questions.

We travel to Lubbock from Waco for my 10-yr-old daughter’s eye therapy. Dr. Riley was recommended to us; and, before she was his patient, actually reviewed her diagnosis and prescription and called me for analysis and advice.Her doctor became unexpectedly ill the morning we were in Lubbock for her follow-up eye check and both offices went out of their way to make sure she was seen (thank you Dr. Fallin), answer our questions, and follow-up with therapy materials (thank you Dakota). I have already recommended The Vision Center to friends in San Antonio because their care, attention to details, and specialties have far surpassed our expectations. We will continue to make the 6 hour drive because we know we are receiving the best care for our daughter.

Cody, you are definately the man, when it comes to assisting with frames. Cody saved me so much time by walking out knowing exactly what I wanted without me even knowing it. Awesome eye care by Dr. Nolan Riley.....Staff is awesome too....

I had to wait 45 minutes with no warning in the room then they moved me to another room where I had to wait another 30 minutes. Whats the point of scheduling.

I have an eye condition called keratoconus and had been seeing my previous doctor since 2009, but I was always having trouble with them billing my insurance. (Everything to do with your eyes is so expensive) So through my insurance I found Dr. Riley. Dr. Riley & his staff at the Vision Center of West Texas were amazing. I felt welcomed and treated like I had been a patient for years as soon as I walked in the door. I will definitely be making Dr. Riley my primary care physician to treat my eyes.

The staff and doctor were all so kind. Cindy took special care of me and everyone in the office was extremely attentive and made sure everyone was being helped or going to be helped very soon. Wait time was short, too despite it being a bit full. Amazing place.

Good service, expert care and was glad to work with us, processed all information quickly.

I had a follow up with Dr. Riley. I had a bad appointment with Dr. Fallin a week ago, and was frustrated Over not being listened to or helped. The Vision Center called me and scheduled me with Dr. Riley to make it right. Dr. Riley was amazing. He listened to me, went back in my charts and figured out my problem, and prescribed some meds to start helping me. He also corrected the incorrect contact prescription strength that Dr. Fallin put me in. I will be going to Dr. Riley from here on out and will be moving my whole family to him. He was awesome and I feel so much better. Thank you, Dr. Riley and Vision Center for helping me and making it all right. I am very appreciative.

Beautiful office with the friendliest staff. Such a great experience. They get us in quickly, no waits and are super nice and understanding! I have four kids ranging from 7-18. They treat each child as individuals and know each one personally. 7 year old recently needed glasses. They made it such a big and exciting experience so she couldn’t wait for them to come in. We love this place!
