This is what united was back in the 80s. You have managers walking the isles checking on things, making sure only fresh items are out. Employees hustling keeping everything stocked and moved forward. The produce is exceptional and they have many, many organic selections. The Meats also have many grass fed, free range options as well as standard options. The eggs likewise have a large selection of cage free options. It was a little more but I got local eggs. Overall its a great place to shop, I just wish they would hurry up and open a second and maybe a third one so it wont be busy all the time. Still with it being busy we were in and out in about the same amount of time we would have been any where else.
Definitely a Texas icon! I love the HEB brand sodas and coffees. Dont be put off by sushi in a grocery store either because its great!
This grocery store actually has items the others do not! A bit out of my way, but well worth it. Its always my first stop when shopping. If you havent been I recommend you do.
Traveled from Amarillo on our day off (Labor Day) to visit H.E.B. The store was amazingly clean considering how PACKED it was. The selection was amazeballs. The customer service was beyond our expectations. A manager whos name I will not disclose (but rhymes with Bark 😜) happened to witness me throwing a tantrum with my wife because she denied my request to buy a fruit tray for our drive back. He tells me, Go get whatever you wanted. Its on me. Then he gave me a voucher so that I could walk out of H.E.B. SATISFIED. Such a small gesture meant something significantly profound for my wife and I. Beyond satisfied with the store and employees. To include the cleanliness of even the restrooms, to the parking lot. Texas sized THANK YOU for our experience! God bless our country, Gods country (Texas) and all the staff at the Lubbock H.E.B!! 👌🏽
1st time there and completely fell in love! It has many more food options than any other grocery store in Lubbock! Love Love!
Food purchases were good with a wide selection but the motorized carts were a trainwreck. My friend and I had to get our carts changed, because, even though they showed fully charged, they werent. So mine had to be swapped out 2ce and hers once. We werent in there THAT long! But overall the shopping was good. The biggest complaint was that even though there were many employees available to help with the carts not one of them offered any assistance so we literally had to push and pull them back to get others. Not a pleasant experience with a fractured leg.
Once you go H‑E‑B, you don’t go back. Best food and grocery store! I moved back from Austin and was so glad they finally put one here. I loved market street before I had ever gone to H‑E‑B but the quality of their products vs. Albertsons is night and day! I do curbside and they for the most part really do a good job at picking out great produce and sacking it well.
Store had plenty selections of produce at good prices, great selections of meat, store well kept and clean. All around friendlyness and Great overall atmosphere.
I love H.E.B! But unfortunately... This one was a little on the small side. But other than that. It was great. I always buy raw meat or produce at H.E.B never Walmart!
Ive shopped here twice now This store is set up incredibly strange. Things dont make sense whatsoever. There is fruit is arranged oddly and the vegetables are intermingled in weird ways. It was strange to find cucumbers between different varieties of potatoes and squash. It would be fantastic if all of the types of vegetables were stored together - app peppers together, all of the different varieties of potatoes, etc. It made no sense to me, to have onions and tomatoes with the pears and apples. Onions and potatoes are both root vegetables. I couldnt find bananas anywhere but there are pumpkins galore, in the middle of the aisle, out front of the store, etc but not a single one, near the squash. Its always excessively crowded when you shop here, which is to be expected because its a very popular Texas grocer and the only one in Lubbock, currently. It is frustrating and inconsiderate to have people in the meat department blocking the entire aisle though, because theyre standing there having a conversation about what theyre doing on the weekend. This happened to us yesterday, 09.15 @ 3:45pm. These things should be limited to the break room. The stockers were sticking the tea aisle and not accommodating at all when they saw ladies coming on the mobility scooters. I also noticed this in the past aisle. A lot of socializing between associates but not accommodating of the customers or apologetic for blocking the products many were attempting to get to. Im sure this can easily be seen by store management. At least at United, you never see them stocking shelves in the middle of the afternoon crowd of shoppers.I highly doubt I will visit the Lubbock location again. If I want to visit H-E-B, Ill limit my experience to the Odessa location, where things are more organized. We drive from Seminole to grocery shop, so we need to be able to access the products wed like to acquire without having to ASK staff, repeatedly, to excuse us or hand us things theyre blocking, while having a conversation about outside job activities.
HEB has such an expansion of groceries & more. This location is so convenient with additional stores in walking distances.
It had been a while since I had actively shopped at h.e.b so Im glad and relieved that we finally have one in lubbock . And really no need to compare it to united because united doesnt even come close . H.e.b s workers always make my shopping experience so much better so thank yall for being so on top of everything 🙌 🥰💞💞 ps try the sushi 🍣
Great quality. Love using curbside.
Store is clean, good deals, friendly staff, EXCEPT for management. Their customer service is the worst Ive ever seen. I dont know why some of them are even there. Way too many details to list on here, but dont expect them to honestly give a hoot about the customer. I so wish I could name the few on here that need terminated. Worst management team I have ever dealt with.
I’m so impressed with the customer service and professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile by Martha in the Catering Department at this location. This employee went the extra mile to make my sons 22nd Birthday extra special. I’m in Austin and was planning to go to Lubbock to celebrate with my son, but at the last minute I was unable to do so, I called this morning and Martha was absolutely great in helping me out with a last minute request. Balloons, candles, cake and even got me a Texas Size Prime Rib Steak from the butcher and delivered it!!!!’ Thank you! Thank you! For everything you did! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best grocery store in Lubbock. We visit HEB once a week. Management on sales floor. Customer service #1 . Prices are much affordable at HEB. Cashier are friendly and fast. Clean store and 99.9 % of all items are priced. Stop by and visit Matt at the Garden Center- he’s always helpful and welcoming smiles, along with Tyler. I applaud management for job well done.
The best place in all of Lubbock County to go shopping. HEB knows theyre better than United because they dont have to build a store on every corner begging for employees. The literal quality of the produce, meat and everything else is insane not to mention the store made fresh tortillas are *CHEFS KISS* amazing. The coupons for their products are surreal along with the customer service and efficiency of everything being run. If they had a communications department that was hiring I would definitely be honored to throw my hat in the ring to be a part of a company that prides itself on everything. HEB is literally the cool older sibling when it comes to stores.
Why do people walk around this store like theyre on crack? The BBq is nasty. The whole store itself is overwhelming. The checkers are rude too, but the older European folks get the smiling and customer service. I prefer to stick to going to my store on the north side or east side.
Excellent selection of fruits, vegetables and meats. It may be because Im from Indiana but I was blown away with the selection and variety of all the products. Everything was well kept and organized. Wish we had in up north!!
I love H.E.B. They have such a great meat department. The whole store has such great varieties of things. We were looking for a prime rib roast that didnt cost us our first born or any of our grandkids and we found it there and on sale. Everything is so fresh even the produce is fresh and always kept up nicely.
This place is a superhero version of a grocery store! If it’s not here, they probably don’t make it! The store is quite large, but not overwhelming. Aisles are marked clearly (and accurately) for ease in finding what it is you came to purchase. There are MANY self-checkout lanes, but, also, “traditional” checkout lines. The store employees are kind and cheerful, and they are very helpful. The store has a HUGE selection of freshly pre-assembled meals (both for individuals, as well as larger groups/families) that look absolutely amazing (I purchased several, which I will start eating, today.), and the pricing on these meals is VERY reasonable. Additionally, the HEB “store brand” of products appears to be VERY high in quality, while being VERY low in price. As I had many “basic” necessities that I had to stock up on during this trip, I elected to purchase mostly the HEB “store brand.” While I haven’t had the opportunity to taste everything, yet, I have tasted several things, and the store brand gives “brand names” a run for their money. Their salt and vinegar kettle-style potato chips are actually BETTER than any “brand name” chip of the same variety that I’ve ever had, and the price was SUBSTANTIALLY less expensive. I will DEFINITELY be back to shop there... DEFINITELY!!!
Lots of great finds. You can get something new every time. Most of the HEB brands Ive gotten to try are good.
Wow, one of the best, cleanest store I have ever shopped at. Multiple coupons and various ways to save. Multiple selections. Barbque section excellent. Wish phoenix had one
Loved this store! I started getting really dizzy and one of the employees, Claudia, realized I didnt look well. She came over and when I told her that I needed some sweet but cant have gluten, she quickly found some gluten free cupcakes and brownies. She also made sure I was ok.
This place is amazing! H-E-B had everything we needed. Also great employees! They are so kind. AWESOME store!
The barbecue today tasted 3 days old. Both turkey and brisket were tough as nails, not fresh food at all. I was loyal but will now try United with Evie Mayes.
Love the freshness and many staff members to help everyone.
Ate lunch at the bbq restaurant. I was great and I will return.
HEB is by far my favorite grocery store and a great addition to Lubbock
Love it! They carry large variety of stuff! Price reasonable, quality great, outstanding customer service! Employees like they enjoy to work for HEB. Great job!
Great place. I can’t point out just one thing that’s better, everything is better! Explains why is always so busy!!
Ive always enjoyed coming to Lubbock HEB. Always friendly staff, and we always find good grocery purchases, and fun things in the seasonal area. Today we tried the BBQ restaurant. It was AMAZING. We will definitely be going back. The only thing Id like to see, is we got the 6 person pack, and there wasnt a gf option to substitute the bread with ❤
Very clean and very nice . Probably the nicest grocery store I’ve ever been to . Huge variety and they had huge stock of everything which is strange for me because HEB in Killeen has been ridiculously low on stuff since COVID hit ... this one had everything in Lubbock and lots of it ... they actually had meet on sale ! In Killeen your lucky to even get the meat you want . Great grocery store
Love this place. So much to choose from, reasonable prices and checkers. And its not Wal-Mart thank god
Good choices, impressive wine selection and reasonable prices!
Great place for grocery. Fish items, shrimp, salads, breads, fresh vegetables, fruits are better than Walmart or market street. Their self check-out option is bit troublesome. Their staff are cordial.
H.E.B. is wonderful. However it gets a little stressful on Saturday afternoons with so many people. Thank goodness there are always plenty of registers open.
Im used to the HEB stores in San Antonio, they have wider aisles, more than two carts fit. The store was well stocked, the check out was quick, which matters a lot to me. The prices seemed higher than the stores in San Antonio.
I ordered from the BBQ restaurant and it was good, but check your order before leaving. I always have something missing
Beautiful set up of isles and easy in and out.
Good store but are often out of stuff.
My favorite place to go every Saturday morning. Huge variety and very friendly staff. I love their garden area
It’s always busy but it’s always stocked. And H‑E‑B brand items are usually incredibly good so don’t worry about it lacking quality. Love the deli and their in house bakery.
Favorite place to shop. Best prices, hands done.
Higher prices than other grocery stores in Lubbock. They have some great unique products, but lack service. Someone needs to teach the sackers how properly sack groceries. Cold with cold. Dont dump cakes upside down in the bottom of bags. Easy, but basic things. When you have a line of people waiting to check out, dont talk and bother the checker. 🙄
How did I live before HEB. I will say I wish they gad more of a natural foid selection, but I love that store.
Clean and well organized store. Employees are very helpful and busy keeping the shelves stocked. If they see a crowd they usually open a new lane. The also have FREE curbside delivery if you want to avoid the lines!
Great store with many amazing products! Would get a 5 star rating if they ever had hot breakfast items out when I go shopping in the morning.
Discount the friendly folks working there, the cleanliness and great selection, just put that aside. Because I would still go to H.E.B -why? THE PRICES. Can actually afford to buy groceries.
I wish we had this store in San Antonio, we do have HEB but not this store.
Had never been to HEB before. What a neat store. Even bigger than I thought! Great selection, especially with organic produce. Very helpful and friendly staff!
My husband and I were thrilled HEB was coming to Lubbock, since we’d moved here from Houston. Being native New Orleanians, we were especially excited about their fresh seafood and, so far, we’ve enjoyed it. My disappointment is with their ‘assistant’ managers. I’ve requested one item several times. Yesterday, I spoke with one of them about my frustration. As a senior (older person!) I found his attitude less than positive, and his interest in helping me sad. I could go on and on about how I felt when I left the new HEB in Lubbock, TX. Instead, I will return to Market Street.
I usually go here for their meats, the always have the best sales and variety.
Curbside employees are usually very nice, put groceries in car nicely, and pretty fast. Had one problem on order when they didnt put my produce order in car. Had to drive all the way back to get it.
Not really impressed with HEB, produce poor. Tortillas suck. The only thing that impresses me about Lubbock HEB is cheese department. Nothing like HEBS in Austin. Lots of off brands. United much better store.
Great that we finally got one here. Awesome prices. Great for big family and to s of coupons. Love the app
By far the Best HEB in the State ..At 56 I grew up with HEB..and they grow with times...They got a Bar-Que Restaurant a Bar with great happy hour even a Coffee joint...now this makes shopping for your groceries fun. Buy a beer and place it in the spot on shopping basket and shop.....I travel from Galveston to Lubbock to Visit my Tech Girls and we love to go to HEB....reminds them of being bk home in the Valley... Hats Off to HEB....MY FAVORITE PLACE TO AND BEST FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES.........
Always a busy place, but great selection keeps us coming back.
Always clean and friendly service! We only go about once a week and we have out checkout worker remember us from time to time. Not ever a problem to find someone to help find things if needed.
The store is good. The True Texas BBQ is way overpriced .The brisket was good but very skimpy. However the sides are NOT at all good. No more for me.!
Im glad there is H-E-B in Lubbock, TX. I like the fruits and vegetables at H-E-B. You can find a wide variety of fresh and also locally produced products, and its affordable.
Oh my goodness, I swear all the customers n employees must be foreigners or South Texans cause West Texas peeps teach their kids manners. No one smiled, no hi, tried to be polite to ppl who just looked at me like I was strange, two employees who had their stockin carts stood by milk and just gossiped about how one gentleman better get his vacation or hes either leavin department or HEB. Went back to Walmart. Where cahiers n employees are way more polite.
This is a beautiful store with reasonable prices. Busy but well staffed. I wish they would build one in Flower Mound.
Very well made with curbside pickup, delivery and in store purchase. Layout is clear and easy to go through. Nearly impossible to get lost in and with self checkout it makes shopping so much easier. Employees are very helpful with anything you may have questions about. They respect you as long as youre not being rude or yelling at them.
Its nice having a grocery store from my home town finally be in Lubbock. They tend to be very busy, but they also keep a lot of registers open, having people directing to the shortest lines, and have self checkout so the check out lines tend to move quickly which is impressive considering how busy they tend to be.
Nice place to get all home groceries. I love hot food and bakery. Meat is fresh and more choices.
So I tried the delivery service yesterday and my experience wasnt the best. I ordered 27 items when the delivery guy showed up with two bags containing only 4 items I asked him where the rest of my groceries were and he said he was from a third party like Door Dash and that was all the employee handed him. I called HEB and the manager was very nice and told me that they would shop for my missing items and deliver them. Well once the driver from HEB this time placed my bags on my door step I thanked her and took them inside only to discover they missed my 4 cucumbers. Looks like I will have to shop inside the store from now on.
Went today nice place but very pricey it was great when it first opened we dont go no more.
Very clean, well organized, great selection in every department, the issue was the cashier with her attitude, it was terrible, and the bagger trying to bag with stupid stickers on her fingers, both had the personality of a wet dish rag! Dont know if Ill go back
They really have everything plus more...also love the coupons they got around the store.
Great place to shop. I wish they would open one in El Paso. So much better quality than so.e of the local stores
We LOVE our Lubbock HEB! We drive over 50 miles every two weeks for groceries. Well worth the time and effort!
Its a roomy store with a very large selection. Excellent meat quality. But, for salads and veggies, Id go to United.
The store is really good but the HEB employees that do the shopping for others are just very rude and disrespectful.. always in your way like they own the store. My son was sleeping in our wagon and this one employee just runs right into our wagon with her cart pretty much waking up our son. No respect for others doesnt even apologize for it Im not going to be coming back .
Great store and everyone is extremely helpful except. It seems the people that make the fresh tortillas take lunch all at the same time and have no problem telling customers that they will have to wait an hour for them to get done with lunch. Hmmmmm
Way better than United supermarkets. Their produce is more fresh and their prices are lower. When it comes H-E-B brand products, their competitors cannot contend. I will drive past 2 United stores and a Market Street to spend my money at H-E-B.
Real nice store Im glad they finally opened one here. It was nice and found a lot of great deals . We had 3 h-e-bs in Harlingen so it was nice to go in to one in Lubbock.
Did my first curbside order yesterday. Everything was contactless and staff was kind. Was able to order everything I needed and my substitutions were pleasing. Did not have to wait long for my order to be brought out to my vehicle.
Ive had good experiences here in the past but now that school is back and more kids are working there. The service is lacking and theyre acting like spoiled brats. Like the consumer is inconveniencing them and making them have to do their job.. I asked one of the stockers to excuse me so i could walk by he rolled his eyes smacked his lips in disgust that i needed by and 1 second of his time was too valuable to waste on the customer that buys groceries that make up his check.
Great Curbside Service! Very polite and courteous employees! HEB knows how to do it right!
You can find anything you need and great staff
I can only comment on their curbside service, but I’ve been very satisfied with their mobile ordering and pickup. All their products have been high quality and fresh. Their prices aren’t necessarily better than local competitors, though.
H-E-B is a very welcome and long awaited addition to Lubbock. The store is phenomenal with its selection of diverse, fresh, and quality products. This grocery store is miles above any other grocery store in town.
Great for shopping! The prices are competitive and sometimes lower than United Supermarkets within the local community. Its good healthy competition for all supermarkets in the area.
Best grocery store ever thank the lord for this great store and they deliver
Honestly the BEST curbside pick up. Fast service! This was our first time shopping at H-E-B since it has opened here in Lubbock. Loving it so far!!!
Everytime I shop here I enjoy my experience!! All associates are super nice and they welcome my service dog.
Everything about this place is great. Supurb deli. My only complaints are that their aisle product groupings are super weird, and their self-checkouts are the complainy weigh-every-item kind.
For. Clean place to shop . Always have good specials
Awesome place! My wife and I visited this store today for the first time and everyone was so friendly and helpful! We loved the store layout, everything was so clean and organized. This place has a great selection of all sorts of goods. We will definitely be coming back!
