McGovern & Sons has been there every step of the way.They answered all my questions, and even ended up helping me pick a color when I was torn between 6 shades of white. They suggested a new one I’ve never heard of that ended up being the winner.It’s also been easy to order paint ahead of time and pick it up in store. Highly recommend this place for all your painting needs and friendly service!

I”ve been going to McGoverns for the past few months for my painting projects. Right now I”m painting my bathroom. This morning the folks at McGoverns were very helpful with a probable I had matching colors and paint formulations. They were great!!! I understand more about this and am a very pleased customer.

We have been buying our paint here for 15 years. No other paint is as nice as Benjamin Moore. And no other paint store has service like these folks! Having tried to save a few bucks getting paint samples at the big box stores, I ended up back here as usual. Their service here is fantastic, personalized, and easy. On a recent visit, the owner had my four year old help mix the paint and gave him a hat to take home. Definitely a future McGovern and Sons customer in the works!

We have been using McGovern and Sons at this location for many years and two whole-house remodels. Ive purchased interior and exterior paint as well as window blinds. The reasons I keep coming back are a staff that has been there longer than Ive been coming there; they are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and they know their customers. Secondly, Benjamin Moore paint is outstanding. Recently, for events out of my control, I had to use a Sherwin-Williams paint in a bathroom remodel. I could see and feel the difference between their eggshell finish and the Benjamin Moore finish; additionally, Benjamin Moore will stand up to the day-to-day bumps that most walls acquire--my new bathroom paint chips off with the slightest brush against the wall. I have never regretted paying the higher price for Benjamin Moore paint. Lastly, Charlene has helped me with window blinds at both houses; her advice on color and style selection has always been perfect! I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I can understand why this family-owned store has been in business for so long! They have great people working there providing friendly service and the paint/ paint products are only the best! Highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone.

I did some business with them a few years ago and plan to again as they were very nice to work with. I will return now mainly because of the Benjamin Moore paint. If you want a paint the lasts and that actually matches the samples you look at, this paint is it. I have used it for years and wont use any other brand. It is worth the drive across town for this paint as various hardware stores near me are phasing it out for some crazy reason. One said they couldnt afford the upgrade necessary for the paint and ACE hardware has decided to phase it out as they will be carrying another brand and they dont want it to have to compete with Benjamin Moore paint. So, drive across town I will for my paint.

I am a top rated painter in Madison and this paint store is absolutely the best!!! Benjamin Moore paint covers much better and is unsurpassed in quality! Terry Mcgovern and his employees are very well informed and experienced! Charlene is excellent with matching colors from anything and helping people pick out colors!

I purchased a gallon of paint from here. While the paint seems to be good quality, it was hard to get help while I was in the store. I expected friendlier service from a local business. I went here so I could support a small, family-owned business but the high price and the lack of customer service means that I will be going to a big box store next time.
