Hope this is useful to someone else.Summary:-excellent doctor,-horribly uncaring and disinterested staffFor context I have been a client of Dr Jean Tasler since 2006 (that’s 15 years) She used to own the clinic until she went into semi retirement and sold it to eye mart express. However she continues to work there as an employee and Eyemart Express gets to keep her loyal client base.But loyalty to an excellent doctor can only take you so far. My last three interactions have been disappointing and I will sadly have to move elsewhere.In my last interaction with Eyemart Express,1. they made me feel like the scum of the earth for requesting a trial lens. When Dr Tasler owned the clinic, this would never have happened. I was always treated courteously2. They claimed that my insurance from Mayo Clinic had disappeared from their system. They don’t know why. To add insult to injury, they “have never heard of Mayo Clinic” and are pretty sure they don’t support it. (For context I have already used that insurance with them since 2019). Wonderful.In frustration I asked them to cancel my appointment if they don’t support my insurance. This they did without glitches or snarky replies. So there’s that!

Mary H showed me a pair of glasses that I would have never picked out for myself. As soon as I tried them on, I fell in love instantly! I cannot recommend eyemart enough!

This was an emergency visit because I really needed glasses. The staff was so helpful, particularly Mary, the frame selection was huge and very trendy, and I received my glasses in 63 minutes. I was so impressed I bought a couple of extra pairs of glasses.

I am changing my review from one star to five as Eyemart Express did everything to finally resolve the issues with my glasses. Thank you Crystal I appreciate everything you did for me, and spending the time to make sure my glasses were perfect.I had an appointment in February of this year, and for starters I arrived and they didnt have my appointment in the system but had notes of some kind. So I had to sit there and waiting to get in between appointments. I purchased two sets of glasses that day in the amount of $676.10. When I received the second pair I could not even see out of one of the lenses. Long story short I have had them fixed three times, and still every time I wear them I cannot see correctly and they make me dizzy. I took them in for a forth time to have them checked and even though the alignment dots were off by about a little over an 1/8 of an inch they said they were fine. I have never had this much trouble with glasses in my life, and I have worn progressives for almost 9 years. If they do not rectify this I will never go there again, and head back to my old provider as I only went to this one as it is the closest to my house and still a 20 minute drive.

First time going in. I came in with a eyeglass emergency (had broken both glasses) Soon as I walked in I was greeted by both ladies with a hello, a smile and how could they help me. The whole process was just great. There is no words that can describe how awesome they were. I highly recommend this place for your eye care needs. You can tell they truly care.

Crystal, the Store Manager was amazing to work with. I told her my budget and what I needed and she not only helped me, but she was able to provide me with stylish name brand glasses and sun glasses as well as a back up pair of glasses. Do yourself a favor and read through the flip chart on the desks to brush up on terminology and whats new since you last bought glasses. The salesperson who helped me with my prescription gave me the impression they had better tasks to attend to and only asked me yes or no questions, clicked through the computer and didnt take time to explain anything. I should have left then.The second person who helped me when my prescription was so wrong I felt cross-eyed, probably assumed the first person educated me, but didnt make a lot of effort to explain progressive lenses beyond it took a while for my mom to get used to them. When I explained where my field of vision was they finally re-measured to find that the first person had done a haphazard job.That version of progressives was not optimal at all for me, which I learned on my THIRD visit, this time with the interim manager, who took the time to educate me on the differences. (When someone says its just like bifocals without the line is leaving out A LOT of information, FYI.) I still dont have the right prescription for my computer work, and I dont think effort was made to help me find the right frame size (which I didnt even know was a thing until my third visit) in the style I wanted.With my sons prescription we were certain we ordered it in polycarbonate (which we understand to mean a condensed version of a thick glass), but the first pair came in SUPER thick plastic. Also, my second single vision pair werent tinted like I had ordered. Easy enough fix for THAT pair, but the point is absolutely NOTHING went right with any of our orders.We only buy glasses once every few years. We dont know all of the technical jargon. We really like the doc, but my family wont buy glasses there again.

I went in looking for the least expensive replacement pair of glasses and found them. Tech was amiable and turnaround was fast. I went in mid to late afternoon and picked out frames, went with single vision lenses and they texted me the next morning that my glasses were ready. Nice job Eyemart!

My mothers eye sight was permanently damaged at birth and as a result, eye glasses for her are generally extremely expensive for her unique prescription and hard to cater to. We were able to get an amazing deal on an every day pair as well as a pair of prescription sunglasses at nearly half the price that nearby competitors quoted us at. Christina was extremely helpful and patient as well. She comprehensively described all the options available to us as well as price differences in an honest and professional manner. Cant recommend enough, especially if you have a niche prescription!

First time trying Eye Mart Express in Mankato and they were great. Went in the my daughter looking for new frames/new prescription, she found a pair and they were done and ready in 32 minutes. Contacts should be in within a few days. Reasonably priced. Will definitely go to them again.

Staff was very helpful in making sure the glasses fit properly. Was nice being able to walk out of the store wearing my new glasses instead of having to wait for them to be sent out and made. Price was reasonably cheaper than the other places I checked in to.

The store employees were very cheerful and helpful, even though it was the end of the day; I even got both my basic glasses in under an hour! Service and product were exactly what I needed in a pinch .Ill definitely be going back!

We were so so pleased with the customer service, frame selection and speed of production (20 mins!!) for my sons first ever pair of glasses. The two ladies helping us made it such a wonderful experience!

Every step in the process of getting my glasses and contacts has been a nightmare. On my first visit I was told someone would be with me shortly, then I waited around for 20 minutes and listened to the staff gossip before someone told me I just had to check in at the back desk. Then the person who helped me with my glasses, Paige, raced through everything so fast with zero explanation that I had to ask for clarification many times. When I got my contacts, they were the incorrect prescription so I did a recheck. I was told my glasses would be updated to match the correct prescription. When my glasses were ready the prescription was wrong, so they said theyd remake them. The next day I got a call saying the glasses were ready - they werent. The lenses were ready and they wanted me to bring in the frames - which they had. When I finally got my glasses I ordered contacts. My contacts, Avaira, are replaced every 2 weeks, but the girl who placed my order insisted they were replaced every month. So I ordered more than she suggested because I knew she was incorrect - the website confirms this. They told me it would be 3-5 business days before the contacts were in. After a week and a half I called again to find out the contacts were on back order and no one bothered to let me know. Its now been almost 7 weeks since I placed my order. I just called and my contacts are in - but again, no one bothered to call me. Every step in this process has been a mess. I will never return to Eye Mart and I would never recommend them to anyone.UPDATE: I went in to pick-up my contacts, and they only ordered 2 of the 4 boxes I needed. So they had to order 2 more. I was also told that the manager would call me and follow-up with me, which she never did. Then after picking up the rest of my contacts, one of the boxes wasnt even the right prescription! I never even went back to get the right prescription because I just never want to deal with this place again. Ridiculous.

The staff is 1st very knowledgeable then they are also kind and fun!!! All of them work great together.

The ladies that helped me with my sons glasses were extremely nice carring and quick and efficient. I had never been in this eye facility before, and am grateful that they helped me and the pricing on glasses was a great deal ! If you ever need an amazing deal on glasses for yourself or your child definitely go here and ask for Jessica. If shes not their any of the ladies can do a great job, but Jessica was my main person who helped me ! Keep up the great work!

I lost my glasses yesterday and heard about this place, went in with my prescription, found a cheap pair of frames, and got a back up pair of glasses for only $10! To top it all off they were done with my glasses in 30min! Super friendly staff to help every step of the way! 10/10 would recommend!

Getting my glasses the same day when I was wearing prescription sunglasses for the last 5 days was absolutely magical. Frames were cheap, I got a deal on the eye exam, and the customer service was fantastic. They seemed like they cared, joked around and made me feel very comfortable.

I have never been so disappointed in a pair of glasses they had to make them 4 times and still not right I have no in between from my bifocals to my distance I wont ever go back. So disappointed and dont have the curtsey to call a customer back to get them fixed 😡

Was really disappointed with my visit. When making the appointment I asked if they took my insurance & they told me they did. AFTER I went through the whole appointment, they asked to run my insurance card- just to then tell me that they actually did NOT take my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket. ??? I am a college student & was going to use that money to grocery shop after the appointment. So it was way more inconvenient than they knew/made it out to be. If making an appointment here- double or triple check to make sure they take your insurance, they might say they do & then change their answer after the appointment. I was not pleased. They should’ve ran my insurance before the appointment anyways.- although I’d like to give FIVE STARS to Dr. Jean Tasler, she was so sweet and informative!

I had an appointment for 12:45 and I was at the desk at 12:47, but the doctor decided to go to lunch because at 12:45 I wasnt there. Great staff and desk workers, but very unprofessional doctor. I left a meeting early for this appointment and drove all the way across town. Im normally a very understanding and nice person, but this is unacceptable from a professional business.

Horrible experience try to come in on Thursday but couldnt cause you have to set an appointment, which I did. Then I come in on my appointment and the doctor is sick....I have been with out eye ware for a week and have missed work cause Im legally blind without eye ware.
