Even though I did not purchase my glasses there, I stopped in hoping they would be able to help me as I sat on mine and they were pretty messed up to the point I could not wear them. They were super busy but the manager was able to straighten them up enough to get me by until I was able to get a new exam. (I need to see an ophthalmologist over wise I would of scheduled an appointment there) I definitely will be back to purchase my next set from Visionworks especially after the service I received.
The general manager of the store was very rude and impolite. She was being very verbally aggressive, when we were late for our appointment today and she was just coming at us for it. We apologized and said we’ll do better next time, and yet she was still very rude and DISRESPECTFUL. Debating whether I should take my MONEY and go to another place for my business. The workers there though are very thoughtful and polite UNLIKE their general manger.
General manager was very RUDE! She could’ve had a better attitude, they had very good and cool workers, except the general manager made the experience bad.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I called before I went in to get a copy of my prescription as they didn’t email it to me like they said they were going to and they told me I had to come in or they would mail it. When I walked in one of the workers was on her personal cell phone. I politely waited to be greeted and proceeded to ask for a print out, the lady who was just on a call on her personal phone very rudely said “We are short staffed and I don’t have time to do this for you.” I completely understand short staffing but the fact that she was on her cell phone just seconds before and turning down a paying customer for something that should’ve previously been done is not okay.
Just wanted to say what great service Beth gave us on 6/26/21. We were in town from the cities for a softball tourney and my daughter’s contact lens ripped and she didn’t have a spare pair with her. Beth was kind enough to call our store in Blaine and have my daughter’s Rx faxed to the store and was able to get a pair of contact lenses for her to use for the rest of the tourney. Appreciate the time she took to do this!
I had the Best experience Friday 23rd 2021. Alleck was Absolutely Amazing! We talked and laughed, I felt like I had known him for years. Best customer service experience hands down. Thank you Alleck, I cant wait for my new glasses to come in.
Booked appointment, prescription had changed, ordered new glasses on BOGO offer. Invoice just under $1000 for the 2 pair (all still good at this point), then I wanted to order additional sets of replacement lenses for other frames that I had from previous purchases. Was told BOGO is also on lenses. But they suggested I wait until the new prescription sunglasses came in so that I have a pair during the wait for new ones. (still good). Glasses came in. One of the new pairs had an error on the digital premium. They blamed it on a new employee. I had brought old frames of four additional pairs to have lenses replaced.(Buy two, get two free as is what I was told, including lenses, or lenses only. This is what I confirmed and had them verbally repeat). However, now I was told that BOGO is only on full sets of glasses only, not lenses alone no matter how many lenses I buy. Zero or no attempt to keep a customer. New lenses were over $600+ per set ($2,500) and I was told The best I can offer you is 25% discount. This was bait and switch if I have ever seen it. I couldnt believe the lack of professionalism and attitude being displayed by employee. The manager wasnt in, go figure, so I just took a refund and tried calling next day to work something out. Called shortly after they opened next day and was asked who was calling and they said they would be right with me after they find my order. Exactly 30 minutes of being on hold and the phone automatically hung up on me. Buyer beware!!!! I live 30 miles away so not making more special trips to this store...Ever!. After this experience I researched and found there are many online sites available at much better pricing. Ordered several pair from EyeBuyDirect.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. I broke the leg off my glasses and they tried to repair them but they couldn’t really be fixed. The lady (Beth I think was her name) called to get my prescription from my previous eye doctor but it was too old to use. She checked the schedule and said they could fit me in for an eye check. I picked out a couple pairs while I waited with one of the girls (can’t remember her name) and was able to use my flex card for everything. They had a deal where you get two for one. She was able to put the leg back on my glasses before I left with some tape so I could get by. Then they called me 4 days later when my glasses got there.Overall, fast friendly and they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I’ll definitely be back thank you Visionworks!!
Staff were extremely helpful. In and out of the appointment very quickly! Megan helped me find a pair of glasses that I loved and got me through the checkout process fast. I will absolutely be returning in the future!

She was awesome then and today she was just as awesome and found me the perfect pair of glasses. I’m so excited to get them. She told me my glasses looked like BAM! Just a hoot wish there were more employees like her. She deserves to be recognized for her great customer service!😊
I have had major issues with trying to get my prescription transferred from a different Visionworks location. Additionally, I had an eye exam done here and felt very rushed.
Ruth and staff went above and beyond every time I came in. Ruth is very professional, knowledgeable and kind. They were all willing to work with me and answer any questions I had. They took the COVID 19 precautions very seriously.
I want to give a shout out to megan miller. She did a fantastic job helping me to purchase glasses! Very friendly and amazing!!
Megan and Alec were so fun to work with! My exam went by so quickly, and I found a pair of frames I love.
I had a great experience here at vision works, alleck was an amazing help made me feel really comfortable and just made my all around experience here amazing. Will definitely have a follow up if hes my doctor!

This place is horrible, including the workers, very slow, especially during this plan-demic they all go overboard. We scheduled a contact lens appointment and didnt give it to us, we couldnt touch the glasses unless they drenched your hands with sanitizer just to make you put them down after.Ridiculous!!!! Go to eyemart. Look at the reviews they say it all.
Absolutely the best place to get glasses. Staff and Dr are amazing caring people. Our family wont get our glasses anywhere else even though we have moved 4 hours away.

New staff is great! Had an adjustment done on my sunglasses that another place said couldnt be done. Very knowledgeable staff. Its a busy place, but worth waiting to get things done right.
The female manager was very rude when i wanted to a refund a pair of glasses.They overcharged me for my appointment and glasses so they had to relook at my insurance and charge me for the correct amount, which was 1/3 of what they originally charged me. The doctor however, she was very nice. I did have to wait a long time for my appointment, they seemed understaffed or overbooked.
So sad to see all the poor reviews. Everyone here was so kind and helpful to me. really took their time with me. Its always so busy in there and with so many customers to help in surprised they could offer so much time to each! Things have changed since all these negative reviews and you know people are always more likely to share one bag experience than ten good ones
Drove an hour to get for a supposed eye exam only to find out they do not have an eye doctor there. This place should be shut down. No doctor no selling of glasses.
Very unprofessional. I went to the mankato mall location to have my glasses adjusted. Amanda took my glasses from me and before I knew she snapped my glasses in to two pieces. She was not sure what to do about it. So this rude lady by the name (Beth) told Amanda to tape them. I said No thats not going to work then she got very rude and aggressive with me saying What do u want us to do about it. I said well figure something out you broke my glasses. Then she walked off. She pulled a worker by the name Cole he got a frame to fit my lenses. By this time I was ready to leave then Beth said to me i wasnt arguing with you i said yes you were and Im not doing this. She Proceeded to say you didnt let me explain. She was very rude and I asked for her name so I could talk with her manager she did NOT give me her name I had to get it from Cole who helped me. And said it was beth and I need to call district manager and believe me I am. Very sad that her coworker had to tell me her name. Feel sorry for those who have to work with Beth very rude lady.
I’ve been going to visionworks since I was a little boy who looked like a nerdier version of Arthur. They have always kept up with my vision so I can see the world’s beauty as is. For as blind of a bat as I am I am impressed with the services they provide so I don’t end up wandering into the wrong vision center since I would never go to any other! :)

Poor service too many young inexperienced workers, very flippant not helpful, don’t even know how to do one on one service. They don’t prepare themselves on the info of each client on how to fit for glasses or be informed on the prescription for glasses. A real bunch of idiots

Called to schedule an appointment. Phone rang for over a minute. A gentleman answered and wasn’t able to help set anything up. He then proceeded to put me on hold for an associate. I was on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up and tried again. Now when I try to call the line is busy.
Very rude and when it came time for my appointment they told me the technician was sick today and I had to wait another month to reschedule
Take the google review average here seriously.Normally Im the first person to leave an overly generous review of business as 9/10 people will leave a bad review from a negative experience but only 1/10 people leave a good review from their positive experience.The overwhelming majority of the staff seem very under trained for their job roles. Purchased new glasses here and the initial fitment done by the staff was very poor. After going back in for a re-fitment, my pair of glasses was far too loose. Ive gotta take my business elsewhere.Im friends with a competent worker from this company (who unfortunately works at a different store) and even they do not recommend this particular store. Again, take the google review average here seriously. Not wanting to receive a poor fitment for the third time, I went in to the local eye clinic in Mankato (Carlson-Tillisch Eye Clinic) and they took their time with fitting my Visionworks glasses to my face: it was a perfect fit!I initially selected Visionworks due to their low prices, but you can achieve this price range at a quality eye clinic elsewhere.

SERIOUSLY 4 And I Mean FOUR freaking times I have made appointments at vision works here in the mall in Mankato just to get rejected and cancelled every single appointment. They have not ONCE bothered to help me out they just make me drive all the way over there to waste my time. Worst and I mean WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have EVER DEALT WITH and experienced in my life.
Gentleman who helped me through the initial tests was pleasant enough. After the technician saw me, which went quickly, we had to wait for the doctor. Apparently this typically doesnt take more than a couple minutes, but unfortunately we wound up waiting 30. This wasnt a huge deal. Things happen and Im a pretty patient person. What made this experience truly unpleasant was the girl who helped me to order contacts. I sat with her for easily another 30 minutes. She barely talked to me so I had to keep asking what was going on. She struggled to understand my insurance, but didnt bother to ask for help. Finally another employee heard her struggling and came over to look at it. This lady was condescending towards the lady helping me and hardly helpful herself. After they felt like they figured out the insurance, the original person (I think her name was Amanda) continued to struggle to figure out the pricing. Again instead of asking for help she just stared at her screen to the point where I told her I could just order through 1800 contacts. The gentleman who helped me through my tests at the beginning standing nearby heard this and let me know 1800 was more expensive. I told him I figured they were, but this was beginning to take too long. I had been at the place for about 1 hour and 40 minutes at this point. He came over and quickly walked Amanda through the pricing and I was able to get out of there. I dont tend to leave reviews but hope Visionworks takes the time to offer some much needed training to their employees for both knowledge and overall professionalism.
In and out with ease. The optometrist is super friendly and Cole, one of the managers, made the whole process super quick and easy. Definitely recommend VisionWorks Mankato.

Drove my friend from New Ulm to their appointment. Didnt realize they were located in the mall (1st time) so we were delayed slightly. Was told that he was 4 mins late so they wouldnt be able to see him. They just lost him as a patient as well as myself and all of my children who wear corrective lenses.
They were great and always have been to me 😄
In one month lost one pair when being shipped remake came defected remake was ok notice was blury when I got the pair complained after a week having them had to get a recheck done got my new ones in scratch up again only pair I have for a updated perception they needed this pair back after saying other places iv all been to remake them and let you keep the pair you have unilt new ones comes in. Vision works should know better if its company policy that how can you expect a person to not go with out glasses when you have to use them in order to see while driving. Really starting to think vision works company need better improvement
My bf and i and our 2 daughters were standing there waiting to be helped when an associate was available he looked at us and didnt say a word but proceeded to stand there and talk to another customer already being helped

I was THREE minutes late to an appointment and they told me that I would have to reschedule. I also told them that it would be a contact and a glasses prescription when I scheduled the appointment, they told me I would have had to reschedule at least one anyway. This happens to very time I come here.
My daughter and I have gone for years. Prescriptions are always accurate and everyone who works there is always very polite.
Uneducated, unprofessional, and RUDE.The dr was nice but the fitters and schedulers are literally mean and super greasy.

Ordered contacts for the very first time, after three weeks I finally got them. I was told they would show me how to use them, never did. Customer service is terrible. I guess I had higher expectations.
