Elias took excellent care of my son and me. He helped us choose frames that were flattering. He took time to explain our options and what would be best for our different needs. I appreciated that he stayed to finish working with us, despite his shift ending. He was friendly and welcoming to everyone who walked in the door. Amazing service! Thank you!

Bought glasses there and they are cute but they do not retain shape. After few hours of wearing the arms are stretched way out past my head! I’ve had them adjusted multiple times. The worker Kyle told me they are a thin plastic and they do that. He attempted to bend the arms back in right in the middle of the arm! He claims he’s had to do this with a lot of glasses lately. I told him No Way!!! He said other thing he could do is bend them in the middle where it sits on your nose. No I don’t want goggles!! That would distort vision also. So he sent them home with me all bowed out and told me since I only wear them for lil bit before bed and in morning I’ll have to deal with them not staying in my face. I am now in contact with the company who makes the glasses.

I was there from 10:30to 1:00pm. Customer service was so so slow and my glasses I ordered are so so flimsy. I am hoping they don’t fall apart. There is not a huge selection of glasses either. I was so disappointed. My insurance covers Davis line and I was told by the front desk person “yes, we offer Davis line and then, I get there for my exam and the doctor said they do NOT have Davis line for glasses so if the front desk tell you that, it is false information. Again, very disappointed in the quality of my glasses

Hands down BEST place to go in Mankato. The staff is so friendly, Dr. Jones is very nice, my kids really enjoyed her and she wasnt there to scam you. My son and one of the techs played the same video game so they bonded quickly, he enjoyed every minute of it! We had a terrible experience at our previous eye doctor and SOOO happy we switched! They are reasonably priced, easy to work with and are not going to take you for everything like almost every place in town! They are located right behind Dunkin Donuts!!

The workers and the ophthalmologist are all really friendly. They are very thorough with your eye exam. They also explain what your insurance does and does not cover, and helps you break it down so you know exactly what you are paying for. The young man working there the day we went in for our appointment recently was filling in from the Twin Cities (I wish I could remember his name!) and was so nice and made us really comfortable. He had exceptional customer service skills and like I said, made you feel comfortable and was very thorough. I have been going there for years and years and have never had a bad experience.They are also really careful with Covid, which I really appreciate. This is the first time we have been in the new location and the building is so nice and clean too.

I love the Shopko Optical in Mankato. Everyone there is so nice and helpful!! I highly recommend it to anyone who wanted friendly service and great prices.

I had a great experience with the floor staff however the store made a mistake while submitting my claim to the insurance and the store/district manager failed to help in the process. She claimed “she had 16 years in the business” and wasn’t going to submit my claim to my insurance because “she knew it wouldn’t go through”... However my INSURANCE confirmed they would pay but the store manager insisted she knew. I had to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed from my issuance.UPDATE: the store/district manager (the same person I was already having issues with!) took it upon herself to call my personal insurance company and called me on a three way call talking about my benefits BECAUSE OF THIS REVIEW I posted here on google. She withheld information from my insurance company to get information and said I was requesting what my benefits were to get my own personal information (which I was not). I had already closed everything out with shopko because I didn’t want to deal with them anymore, just my insurance company personally, but she took it upon herself to get my personal information without myself requesting just so she could call me again insisting she was right. I believe some privacy laws may have been committed. She doesn’t have the right to act as my insurance company and request any information she pleases because she has a copy of my insurance card. Be careful with your information here! I may or may not have personal private issues in why I’m covered. She doesn’t have the right to know that. I love shopko, just a bad experience at this location.My recommendation is be cautious with your information and don’t disagree with the store manger. She’s been in the business for 16 years so she knows best! The floor staff was awesome however

I have not been to any eye doctor for a long time but since I needed to take my son I made appointments for both of us. We were greeted promptly, went through the typical covid health check and started our paperwork and preliminary exam immediately. The first girl that greeted us was efficient but patient with the many questions I had. The digital picture of the retina was great. Dr Jackie was top notch, excellent with my teenage son and we were on our way to picking out frames quickly, but never felt rushed. The selection was huge and lots of variety for any fashionistas taste. Were they expensive? Yes but thankfully insurance covered the cost of most of it. They had no problems taking care of the insurance info while I picked out what I wanted. When we need a checkup I would not go anywhere else. From scheduling online to in-person customer service was great. I havent received my frames yet but I am confident it should go smoothly as well.

Ive been going to Shopko Optical for about 10 years. I love the doctor there. She is wonderful. My spouse went to Walmart Optical last month and was not impressed. Ill continue to return to Shopko for my familys eye needs.

I was supposed to have my appointment on a Friday, but due to the MN weather we were expecting a blizzard that day. I went onto the website and was able to change my day very quickly and when I got to Shopko Optical, everyone was amazing and my Optometrists said that if anyone else called she would work through her lunch due to the weather. She was also very helpful with my contacts, and the staff were wonderful helping me pick out my next pairs of glasses. Definitely recommend going to Shopko Optical in Mankato!

Decided to try something different for my eyes, had used in past. Results were much much better here.

This is the best place to go if you have a problem with your glasses. I went this morning for buy new glasses. Everybody were awesome. They greet nicely. They serve you honestly.Also my old glass was broken. I just taped it to wear it. It was in a worse condition. But one worker in this place brought it in and fixed it without charging a dime. He has kindness in his heart and it is very rare these days. If you have any problem with your glasses this is the first place you SHOULD go.

Went to pick out glasses, the guy that questioned me about covid and I was fine with that. He kept calling me a dude after his one coworker corrected him, he was making inappropriate jokes. Not once did anyone apologize or correct the guy. I asked several times about the automatic shade to get added to my glasses for when I go outside because I can’t wear sunglasses. Picked up the glasses today and got some blue tint or something instead. Staff needs to be more professional and realize their surroundings. I’ve never been so disappointed when getting my glasses. Glasses aren’t cheap and supposedly a “manager” helped me order the glasses.

Got charged $140 for a coating I didnt need. Of course I wasnt told how much it would cost until they were running my credit card. When I picked up my glasses, the woman who unpacked them chipped them. They offered to replace the lens for free. When I went back to have the lens replaced, they were closed. Googles hours listing was wrong. They close at 6 everyday. Probably wont go back.
