I worked with Chris at the Maple Grove Location and he was so professional and helpful! I also got the chance to work with the district manager Elle who was an absolute delight to work with. They both responded so quickly and got any issues I had taken care of. The level of respect and professionalism given by these two individuals was outstanding! I would highly recommend if you’re looking for storage see these two at the Maple grove location!

Tripled the rental fee after a year. We accessed the unit one day past move-out day to grab the last few things and they charged me for the entire next month instead of prorating the charge like a reasonable service provider would. Also charged a $69 unit cleaning fee because we allegedly left a couple small items in the unit. We did not leave anything in the unit, and even if you did... $69 is insulting. Treat your customers better.

DO NOT rent with Public Storage. One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business in my lifetime. Public Storage lurers you in with reasonable fees then proceeds to raise prices every 3 months. My rental fee literally tripled in less then a year. How convenient to bait and switch your customers, then justify it as market pricing. Terrible service, even worse explanations. DONT DO IT!

Worked with Paul at the 11601 location in Maple Grove MN. He was so great, showed us a couple of storage units and then drove us to another location to get the unit size we needed! Then we worked with Chris at the 9580 Zachary Ln location. He showed us multiple units as well both inside and outside and catered to our needs for a storage unit helping us find the perfect one for us! Thank you both for your help!

I am very happy with my storage unit on Zachary Lane and have been there now for over 2 years. However, the last 2 months when I have gone the elevator to the second floor has been broken. I have had to hand carry all of my items up two flights of stairs with 2 broken fingers and a bad back TWICE. I contacted Elle the District Manager and was told it was going to take time to repair. She also then stated she or someone else would call me and 1-2 days to compensate me by lower my monthly rate (I pay $157). I never heard from anyone and I made 3 additional calls to Elle leaving a voice mail each time. Never heard back from her. My plan is to reduce what I have in storage there and move to another storage facility. I have never written a review about anything, but this was troublesome to me when they say they will do something then simply ignore your repeated calls regarding your bad experience.

High security. Gate code needed to get into the garages and again to get into the building. Double security to leave as well! Convenient easy to access location. Cheap rates

Melody at public storage Maple Grove is an Angel! I went in to pay my bill on 12/22/20 if Im not mistaken, it was the day we had one of our Minnesota winter storms. Let me tell you my car battery died! and I was so cold! Melody helped me jump my car yes she did and she talked with me helped me contact local tow companies in the area. Melody took off her gloves and gave it to me! I am still in disbelieve, I have never seen this kind of customer service. I am just glad that Melody was working that day she made me believe in the Christmas spirit again!The next day my fiancé and I went to look at my car and the snow was so beautiful, we asked melody to take our picture, and you guys... she brought a mistle toe from her car. not sure if I spelled that right. she held the mistle tow over our heads and we kissed. it is the most beautiful picture we have as a couple we will use it at our wedding.Thank you public storage for hiring melody, she is really a good person with a kind heart, and people like that do not come by often. Brand new building, clean, and excellent prices. On the flip side...office personnel are difficult to find (even during regular business hours), and the bathrooms are never unlocked.

I called into the office a couple days ago to ask them if they could lower my bill and to my surprise they were able to lower it a $59/mo! The gal I spoke with was very friendly and professional. I do wonder why my bill was so high in the first place, and why I wasn’t offered a refund for overpaying for a full year, but I’ll take what I can get.

Got locked inside the facility for over an hour. Left a message with the office and never heard back.

Shawn was absolutely amazing. He made the whole process of renting a storage unit fun (and it usually isnt fun). He was super helpful and even talked me into an inside storage unit and explained his reasoning behind it. He just wanted to make sure I knew all the nuances with a storage unit outside and after talking it through, I realized an inside unit was best.All in all, I had a great experience and would love to work with Shawn again!

Shawn spent a great deal of time helping us select the best storage space. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and very patient. We selected this facility largely because he and Stacy were so helpful. We stored our home goods for 4 months and it couldnt have been better. The storage unit was clean, bug-free, dry and easily accessible. The overall facility was cleaned regularly. I was intending to store with public storage but prefer not to have notifications sent to my phone or email. The representative never asked me and I did not understand that my unit number and pass code would be sent by both text and email almost immediately and I was busy moving stuff in. I am now moving my stuff out because they were unable to move me to a different unit for the same price.

Excellent customer service and the storage area is immaculate. I actually got a brand new unit. The one thing that i dont like is having to get out of the car to let the gate up after, so you are entering the code 2 times to get out.

I used this facility for a year and had great customer service when starting and ending my lease. Shawn was amazing prior to my moveout. He went out of his way in helping with everything I needed and answered all my questions! Definitely recommend them!

The unit I reserved was fair but the facility has a broken exit gate and the restrooms remain closed for covid19, tho the restrictions for these facilities have been lifted with utilization of a cleaning protocol. The prices are not upfront and clear. The sale I took advantage of is great, but I could have saved $40 (basically the whole suprises cost/3x what i expected to pay) had these additional fees been clear. Bring your own lock and insurance.

Stacy was thorough in explaiting rental site, prices, equipment, check in checkout, insurance etc. basically answered all the questions I didn’t even know to ask. Super clean climate controlled facility. Value for service good.

This is my first experience with renting any sort of public storage and I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Sophia and the other workers there was very patient and helpful and made sure I was getting the right amount of space for the right price.

They are renovating this location right now, so it looks different and slightly barren, but its a positive change. I was worried at first but they are working on streamlining all communications via e-mail (to let you know whats going on even if it doesnt directly affect your unit specifically). Overall nice place, no problems besides needing to fix the elevator door and locating the carts on occasion - which they are responsive about. Good rates and Im glad to have kept my stuff here for the last year. Thanks!

Jerry is a top notch manager at Public Storage. He is always helpful, knowledgeable, has a great smile, and goes the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of. I was there one night making a payment before the store closed and my car would not start. Jerry stayed there an hour after closing and gladly helped me jump start my car, not to mention it was one of the coldest nights of the year. I recommend him to anyone for needing a storage facility!! He is the best!!

Needed some space for a few months for our business while we wait for warehouse and this place was perfect. Great service from Montrell at the Maple Grove location off of Zachary. Called me to make sure I didnt have late payments and anything else I needed. When we were done with the space we got a refund for the rest of the time that we paid for! Highly recommend!

We have rented from Jerry at Public Storage for many years. Jerry gives customer service that is beyond our expectation. He ALWAYS returns our calls promptly. He is very competent and knowledgeable about the best price and storage area for our needs. He does an excellent job of maintaining the entire facility and the security is excellent.. We have been repeat customers because this facility is extremely well run.

This is the first time that I have rented a storage unit so this was all new to me. I needed a storage place quickly so I stopped in the office prior to renting the storage unit. He explained in detail the application process, insurance requirement, locks, monthly rates and how to enter and exit the facility. Jerry gave EXCEPTIONAL service both onsite and on the phone. He made the whole process very easy which brought me peace of mind. We switched to a smaller locker today and Jerry was just super! I spoke with him on the phone prior to making the reservation online and he made sure I understood how the charges would be done based on closing the one locker and adding the other. He was courteous, friendly and got everything taken care of for us this morning right away. He provides awesome customer service and I would recommend this location to anyone in the area looking for storage!

Its a place to put your things, but beware of the extra costs they try to rope you into. They try to fast talk you into their insurance (you HAVE to have your stuff insured,) and even if you have renters insurance, theyll try to convince you its not enough unless it specifically covers storage units. Theres a list of twenty thousand questions you are supposed to be able to answer to determine if your insurance passes their test. Then they try to make you buy THEIR padlock for $20, like any ordinary Master padlock isnt heavy duty enough. Your first months rental might only be a dollar, but theres another $24 due for administrative costs (for having the person on duty help you?). Ugh. Practice up saying No, thanks before you get there. Youre gonna need it.

Do not rent here your money is better spent elsewhere no regard for your own private space. The whole point in renting a unit is to be able to be the only one to access it. Apparently if the company wants to cut your lock off and put a new one on they can. They can even take your whole door off leave it exposed so anyone around can steal your things to replace the door all with less than a weeks notice. They dont care about your items they will do what they want and invade your privacy. When I asked if my items are damaged what would be done I was told that things get damaged and its not guaranteed they wont be. I paid for a unit so that only I would have access and apparently that isnt the case. The only good thing about this place is Shawn he is very kind other than that take your business elsewhere.

NEVER RENT FROM ANY PUBLIC STORE FACILITY! THEY LIE!When I called to reserve a unit I was told that I would pay per day on the month I moved my items. Based on this information I reserved a unit. On the day I showed up with my house hold items I was told that I was required to pay the full amount regardless of the day I removed my items. After speaking with the property manager, Chris, and his boss, Lauri, I was told that I did not have to pay the month of January because I moved my items out on January 2, 2018. When I received a January bill I called asking if I was required to pay the bill and was told no. When I receive a January bill reminder I called again, this time speaking with Patrick, and was told there was a note in my record stating I didnt need to pay the January bill. Then in February I received a collections notice. I called the main line with my concern and asked for the number of location and the district manager to which they refused to give me. They would only give me the collection agents number. I called the main line a second time and this time was given both of those numbers. I called the property five times before I was able to talk to someone. Only for Chris to tell me there are zero notes regarding my January bill. I have called the district manager seven times only for him to call me once back. Im being ignore and lied to. NEVER RENT FROM ANY PUBLIC STORE FACILITY!

Very helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, always has a smile on his face and goes the extra mile to ensure youre happy and properly taken care of. I desperately needed to get a storage unit set up and drop off a full U-Haul truck on a Sunday evening right at closing time. Jerry stayed late and ensured I was taken care of. He had all of the paperwork ready when I arrived, showed me around and quickly took care of everything I needed. Jerrys absolutely outstanding, thanks Jerry youre the best!!!!

Jerry, the office manager on-site was extremely helpful. Prior to securing the new storage space, he brought us back to the space to ensure that it was large enough to hold our storage. He also explained in great detail the application information, the insurance requirement, the locks, monthly rates, discontinuing the rental and the process for entering and exiting. The space was exactly what we needed!

We had an RV we needed to store and spent some time with the MG location working to accommodate our needs. Unfortunately, due to the length of vehicle, we could not store it in MG. The team was very accommodating and helped us to find another Public Storage location. Thank you!
