These guys do a full vehicle inspection with photos and explanations and let you know what’s going on with your vehicle. They did a great job of letting me know what needed to be fixed and helped me walk through my options. Great team of people. Would recommend.

Great customer service! I purchased a trailer tire from them yesterday and arrived around 10 minutes before closing due to traffic. The manager, Eric stopped what he was doing in the office and mounted the new tire himself. I was out the door in about 10 minutes. He was a great guy and my experience was definitely 5 stars! I was driving to work and my car dinged at me that my tire pressure was low. I stopped here and never have been before. I definitely will start now! Eric was so nice! He filled up my tires for me I believe before the store was even open. He told me which one was super low and explained to me that it’s starting to get cold so this happens sometimes. He had great customer service!

My first time there, got to say Im pretty impressed. Called the last time and was able to get an appointment within 30 min. The location look new and clean. The staffs are very helpful. They was able to change my oil and checked my car within abt 1 hr. Will definitely go back there.

Its hard to find a good mechanic that you can trust. I wont mention the other place but I went somewhere else first to get a quote, that quote was over $1,200. When I came here for a second opinion they told me a lot of that work didnt need to be done and I walked out of here spending $400 also the guy the front desk Jon was helpful and professional.

Its a place to belong. My tires all filled and inspected for free. They render excellent customer services.

I appreciate their help explaining what needs to be done. They put a spare tire which I was able to drive home until they will call me when its ready for the new tire.

Im totally pleased with this Midas location because of the pleasant customer interaction from John, who fields the calls coming in and explained everything I needed to know about the work being done, and Eric, the manager, who made the time to personally come out to introduce himself to me. They take care of the car and their customer. The waiting space is very clean and air conditioned, with Keurig coffee maker, water and soda available to customers. I know from my past experiences there that they are honest and hardworking people.

Seriously the best in the business. If you want your car fixed the right way, go to midas. Professionalism, communication, and certified in every relatable aspect is always worth every penny.

I know absolutely nothing about cars aside from how to check my oil, and my AC/Heat had gone out and this is Minnesota like I cant not have my AC/Heat working thats a death sentence. Midas fixed me right up and went the extra mile to do extensive research to ensure the problem would be solved and saved me a pretty penny by doing so. The Manager Eric was excellent about explaining everything to me without belittling me and I appreciated that a lot. All in all this is Garydeuxs (my jeeps) new shop.

This auto shop is always respectful, professional, and courteous. I have had my car repaired multiple times over several years here, they always explain everything and never take advantage of my being a woman to make unnecessary repairs. Customer service here is so great. Everyone is so friendly and they are quick. My oil change and tire rotation took maybe a half hour with no appt. so friendly and time efficient. Also prices here are unreal compared to other places.

First of all, before writing this review I read their other reviews, particularly the one right under mine and would like to say that I have a problem with people who write 10 page reviews that never explain what the business did wrong and have no content in the review about what they did to contact the business before writing scathing content on the internet. I believe that the purpose of writing a review is to help your local community find the right guy vs the wrong guy and posting junk graffiti type content ultimately hurts your local economy when skilled technicians loose their job and move out of the community just because of what some one else wrote about someone else job.. That being said, I would like to proceed with my experience with Midas of Maplewood located at 1945 County Rd D, Maplewood, MN 55109.Anyhow, about me, I am a local contractor, I drive heavy duty trucks and vans through out the twin cities, I know more about auto repair than most, my work truck is my career. Last week my breaks went out while getting off the freeway. Midas was a block away and for safety reasons I went there immediately. There is a tire shop and genera repair shop next door, I went here instead. Here is why. One of the best kept secrets in auto repair is that Corporate Midas as well as their franchises requires that the general manager MUST be ASE certified as well as the lead technician and any junior technicians. They can hire rookies but the top 3 need to be experts to prevent screw ups major liabilities etc. I watched these guys from the parking lot perform this repair and it was perfect.

Fantastic crew they have working there! Fairly priced and shout out to Luke! One of the tecs there! He is very knowledgeable on diagnosing cars and will give you honest to God answers on what is wrong with your vehicle. He doesnt try and do useless things to your vehicles like other auto industry guys. So if you ever find your self here ask for him! He will steer you in the right direction! (No pun intended)

I was a customer for years before the new management bought this franchise shop. New management told to raise up the prices from oil change to tire change everything.No personal care But gave you their way of inspiration report so that they can make extra bucks. I don’t write review like this but the new management customer services is sucks.

They gave me a definitive diagnosis that saved me a lot of money and headache. And helped me sign up for a midas credit card so I can pay off the repair over six months rather than have such a big unexpected bill all at once. John and the guys are great. Will definitely come back for future work.

I cannot speak high enough about the employees of this Midas store. I’ve gone here many times over the years for oil changes and minor car engine repair and been very satisfied. However I was having issues with my hood not shutting or opening and wasn’t sure where to turn. I gave this Midas a call and they said “no problem bring it right in”. When I showed up, three people came out right away and was able to repair this issue on the spot and told me no charge, they just wanted to make sure my vehicle was safe (ensuring the good wouldn’t fly up while I was driving since the hod wouldn’t latch properly). The dealership wanted $80 to even look at my issue, and it says a lot about a place to just help you out with no charge. Will always use them in the future! Highly recommend!

Great quality service. The price is better than other places. Front desk was a big help and very informative.

I bought three new tires (1 was already new).Everything was fine on the drive home.The following day my TPMS monitor flashed and went on. I took the car to Toyota and they said my tires were at too high a pressure (they were at over 40psi instead of the factory recommended 35psi).The lights stayed on. I read that with new tires the sensors may need to be re-registered at Toyota. I made an appointment and Toyota noticed that my left, rear sensor was reading but broken. It was physically broken. Nice.When that tire was replaced they damaged the sensor and didnt tell me. Instead they left it as is and sent me on my way.Theyve lost my business.

John is the best to work with, he is always honest and very nice in person. I have been going to fix my car at this location for about 4 years now and I have never had any issues with them nor my car. I get free inspections and tire rotations whenever I change my oil. They are the best.

Robert helped me at Midas in Maplewood. He was extremely quick and kind to me! I know nothing about cars. Robert went out of his way to explain what he was doing, what was going on, and he even showed me pictures. He was extremely kind to me. Got an oil change. Had a premature low oil light come on (2000mi early). Ran full research and diagnostics. Topped oil off at no charge and snuck me in during busy day. Great national brand shop run by local guys.

Brian and his staff take the absolute best care of my vehicles and they always give me OPTIONS as to what I can do to prolong my vehicles life. Like the service, and there always thorough but just a bit over priced, usually find the parts they quote me for half the price they try and sell me them for. Save hundreds by finding the parts yourself.

I talked to John and he got me in on a short notice. Diagnostic for a vac leak was done. They also changed the cabin and air filter. They found what was making the error cod and fixed it in less than an hour. I was pleased with my experience.

Very helpful crew. I was stuck up here trying to trade in my car and couldn’t get my trailer hitch to come off at the trade in lot, so I drove over and they helped me out by being out the impact drill and helping me remove my equipment for free. Customer service at its finest. Great group of people.

I had really horrible experience at a prior Midas so I was very hesitant to bring my vehicle into this Midas to get my car serviced. After reading the recent reviews in which many customers left 5 star reviews and it sounded like there were new owners, I decided I would give this shop a try since its within a mile from my house.Again, Midas was a total let down. First and foremost, I do want to point out that Robert and Jon were super nice and very professional. But this is the reason why I gave this Midas a 1 star review.I called Monday morning to see if I could have my car towed to this Midas because my car wasnt starting, I talked to Robert and he was very helpful and nice. I was able to get my car towed to the shop around 2pm and Robert called me around 2:30pm to let me know it was my starter that needed to be replaced. He told me it would take about 3.5 hours to do and I went ahead and gave him the green light. I waited until the very next day and called around 11am and was told they didnt have the correct part but would be finished with my car within an hour.Okay, things happen, I get it.I call around 5pm and apparently they had just finished with my car. Okay, maybe it took longer than expected. At this point, Im irritated but Id rather they take their time and do it right. I go in to pick up my car, paid for my service and it turns out they dont know what happened to my key. Jon was there helping me and he was super nice but I couldnt leave with my car because my key had been misplaced. Jon gives me a loaner car to use and once I got home, one of the front lights are out. I was told if they cant find my key theyd replace it. I finally call the next day and they found my key so I finally can pick up my car.So in conclusion, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour service, it turned out to be 3 days later. My car also reeked of stinky body order after I picked it up. It gave me such a bad headache, I had to leave my windows open and wipe down my seats numerous times with disinfectant wipes.Im just really disappointed because I gave Midas another chance and it failed again. My last time at Midas was the same thing. A service in which shouldve took 1 day, took 3 days and numerous times of bringing my car back into the shop. Last time, I was out a car for 3 days. I had to Uber to work and back, make last minute arrangements to pick up my son from school. It was a nightmare and to have to go through it again with Midas, Im done. I wont be using Midas for my car needs. Despite the free oil change Jon gave me, I received free oil changes the last time they messed up as well, which I wont be using. I honestly will just take my business elsewhere and get it done correctly the first time around.I gave Midas another chance but unfortunately I wont be returning. I cant spend days waiting on my vehicle to be serviced because of the mistake of others.

I had a great experience with my 01 BMW here. I was wanting to instal an after market muffler on my car. I thought no one would be able to do it. But these guys at Midas blew me away with how much quality and effort they put into fabricating my exhaust. These guys truly know what they’re doing and I couldn’t of asked for a better experience. 100% recommend this place if you need some welding done or fabrications done to your exhaust.

Made an appointment had my son take car in they said it would be 2 hours it took 5 hours & I was stuck at work. I called to ask why is it taking so long and they were nonchalant & did NOT care how long they were taking!! Just go somewhere else this place is NOT worth the hassle!!

Call the day of getting my brakes done, got me in at 4 when they close at 6, did a full inspection of my car and troubled shooted my car. Repaired my breaks at a very reasonable price and gave me a brunch of excellent expert advice on my car! Stuff was great to talk to and fully get to trust. Very happy I went here! Thank you Midas!

Never have i paid so much for an oil change in my life. Had a coupon n still ended up paying over $60. I know it was synthetic but still. Wont sleep good tonight. Wont be going there anymore.

I recently bought a car and needed to put my new license plates on. The screws were both highly rusted and stripped. I had zero luck. Chase answered the phone when I called to see what they could do. Not only did they get the old plates off, but they put the new ones on! Super fast service and I was even squeezed in between other appointments. Very pleased with the service I received!

Good value, friendly staff. Came in for an oil change and the guy fixed a noise I kept hearing (balanced the tires) on top of it. I had asked Toyota Maplewood during the prior oil change to fix that but they said it was normal and hadn’t fixed anything...

Went in for a oil change with wifes van, great service and great front desk guy. Mechanics took me into garage and didnt try to force me to get anything else which was nice because I needed a couple of things. Very calm and professional environment.

Went here for a balance on my tires well left the shop thinking it was done correctly was not wheels were shaking so bad I couldnt even drive back to the shop I have a 5 yr old son who luckily wasnt even in the car with me and not to mention they did tell me it would be about 45 dollars for all four tires fine but then when it was time to pay I asked if I could pay 40 in cash and out the rest on my card they said yes come to find out he took my cash and charged the full amount of 47.92 to my card!!!! Are you kidding??? They stole my money and made my car unsafe to drive never going back here terrible place and they lie like no one elses business I work with gentleman who use to be mechanics and what I told them that the guys at Midas said they said made no sense I will be contacting the manager at the store and get my money back if I dont get my money back I will be contacting cooperate

I called them because I started having a noise that Ive heard on other cars ...Now happening To my Car....And I Called to inform them ...but they Are not Going to Fix it or even Check.

Went in for a quick vehicle inspection. Was told 20 minutes. Took over an hour. Front desk was too busy watching TMZ to notice the time I guess.Wasnt much of an inspection. An hour later I was told I need ball joints & a wheel hub Assembly.Id be OK with that assessment if I didnt just replace both hub assemblies 3 months ago. And the ball joints may show wear, but are definitely not defective.Im sure if I wasnt an able bodied individual I probably would have paid to have you do all this work that doesnt need to be done.The inspection is merely a ploy to get you to purchase things that you dont need or that are not truly broken.Keep your grandma away from this joint 👆

I would recommend taking your business somewhere else. It should not take an hour and a half to do an oil change. It should only take 15 to 30 minutes. I will never go back.

If I could out no stars then I would. They severely messed up our muffler the first time. They had it pointed into the rubber of the bumper of our van. My husband called and they said they wouldnt take an appointment to redo it. The welding looks like snot, the muffler is rubbing against the bumper still, the down pipe isnt even the correct size, and on top of it all they were incredibly sassy and told me that they werent able to fix it any more. Overall, they are incompetent and poor mechanics. Do not bring your vehicles here for any reason.

I made an appointment online for the following day and i got a message saying someone would call me within a half hour. i never got a call so the next day when i called they said i didnt have an appointment which i know for a fact i did and they said they couldnt get me in tell the following day, I declined.

Best Midas repair shop in the Twin Cities. Always get my cars worked on and fixed fast!
