I had a great experience with Ed! He made everything clear & easy for me so I felt comfortable from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. He was very friendly and genuine, but straightforward which I appreciated as I’m also in sales. I had a fun time overall as he was cracking jokes and sharing stories while we waited. He was very thorough in making sure I knew how to work all of the bells and whistles that came with my particular model, and helped to make the leasing process a breeze. I was recommended to visit this dealership by a friend who used to work there. He said they would be friendly and helpful and Ed certainly did not disappoint! 5/5, would definitely recommend this place to anyone, leasing OR buying.

Don’t expect to leave in a timely manner. Thomas Anderson will try to “sell” you on using their Credit Union for financing even after telling them multiple times you’d rather go through your own personal bank. Maybe it’s time to brush up on basic listening skills. Worst dealership experience ever.Aside from that the sales people on the floor were pleasant and courteous.

I brought my Stelvio in for an oil change and it was my first time visiting this dealership. They were great. The service advisor was helpful and efficient. Everyone was friendly. There was also a sweet dog roaming around, which was a bonus. Highly recommended!

I guess If you want to spend some money with this place, youll be waiting, and not for a good reason.....The last time I was here the service advisor was trying to sell me some tires on my car with maybe like 20k miles, of course I said no. Fast forward to now, a year or so later, maybe more... I needed some service done, and thought it might be the time to get new tires. (32k miles) I called to get a price so I could do it all at one time, or just go to a tire chain, since I knew I wanted a better brand tire...But I thought one stop would be nice. Kylie, the service advisor, I think it was, said they would send me a quote by email within the hour....I waited, nothing. Called back hours later, the parts dept. was closed, never got an email, even checked my spam, all I got from the lady answering the main line was I could try calling again the next day. UMMMM NO. I find it strange that you hardly see a Fiat on the road, yet they are too busy to give a quote for service, and new tires. I guess my question was answered as to where I will go for tires- Unbelievable these places stay in business with this kind of customer service.

I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I called Schmelz Countryside FIAT on a Monday evening to buy a FIAT 500e they had for sale. I spoke with Christine Baaken. She was super helpful and made this car buying experience the easiest Ive ever had. She explained in easy to follow instructions what I needed to do - 1. make a deposit; 2. send (text) proof of insurance and drivers license. She connected me with the finance office the next morning and sent a copy of the car invoice to me. The finance office sent me the payment information I needed and arranged the transportation of the car from St. Paul to Cleveland. One week and 3 days after my original phone call, there was my FIAT sitting in my driveway. No hassles, no bargaining, no wait while I talk with my manager. I very much enjoyed my on-line car buying experience with Christine and Schmelz Countryside FIAT.

Do you like good customer service? Proactive communication? If so, then you might want to keep looking.I visited this dealership once- in late August 17. I had an appointment for an oil and filter change- which took about two hours. I ordered a factory replacement key- they were quick to charge me for it when I ordered it... but it has been over a month and I have heard nothing- not a peep. I called yesterday and after being placed on hold for several minutes, I was offered the chance to leave a voice message. I left a voice message-- received no call back. Anyone else have a poor customer experience with this dealership?

Vic was terrific. He truly has an interest in the cars he sells and helps you connect your needs to the car you are looking at. Nice to have someone who doesnt just read the brochure to you. Tom also deserves a shout out for being the first car guy to provide logic on a lease vs. buy decision that made clear sense given my situation. Both were patient and allowed me to work through my decision making process with no pressure. The two were a great team and Ive got an awesome Giulia because of their efforts.

Staff is friendly and offered to show me the parts that were replaced while it was being repaired. I appreciate that they asked me if I wanted a car wash rather than just washing it without my consent. Its not a touchless wash.Update- after posting the review I was contacted by this location with follow up information from a survey I completed. They answered questions I had, and were very helpful. Updating from 4 to 5 stars. This is definitely my preferred Fiat dealer.

My wife and I recently bought a Fiat 500x from Jason Baum at Schmelz FIAT. We were in the market for a small SUV and were somewhat interested in the 500x. We stopped in to Schmelz on a Saturday night, thirty minutes before they closed and Jason greeted us warmly. Our intention was to look at the 500x, not test drive it because they were closing soon. Jason assured us that it was not a problem to test drive it that late. We loved the 500x and ended up purchasing one a week later. Jason was accommodating and helpful. The sales manager, Peter, is a cool dude as well. I would recommend Schmelz Countryside to anyone. We will be back as soon as the wife gives me the go ahead to purchase a 500 Abarth for my daily driver. Ask for Jason, you wont be disappointed.

Since no one ever takes the time to write a review when theyre happy - I decided to do just that!in june 2019 I stopped in to the show room in the middle of a week day, was greeted by a very friendly individual that paged a sales rep for me. The rep was with me momentarily, listened to what I was looking for and grabbed key without hesitation to a shiny black 124 Abarth in the lot just so I could see if this car I was lusting after actually drove well.Good conversation, no push from the rep and test drive complete, we looked through inventory to see if one matched my options requirement (manual trans, sub 22k used), unfortunately to no avail.They took my number, put the request in front of their purchasing manager and we parted ways.Thank you for your time and help even though I wasnt able to buy a car through you that day.

This dealership has a lot of inventory. How much? Enough that I was willing to purchase at here when I live in california. Could not find the specifications I wanted in a manual anywhere else. Im from Chicago, and I made absolutely the best deal in the country on a perfect used Alfa Romeo 4c with Peter Johns at Schmelz Alfa Romeo in suburban Minneapolis. Peter and the rest of the staff, including Marcus, the finance man, were friendly, helpful, low pressure, and made the whole process a pleasure.By the way, their selection of cars, new and used, was way beyond anything I found in Chicago.Real pros.

My partners car had clutch issues, we had it towed there for them to take a look it costed over $200 just for them to tell us what the problem was.. Outrageous! This place definetely are pocketbook thieves. To fix it would have cost over $2300..other places we checked were at least half the cost. Avoid this place if you are not looking to break the bank.

Absolutely horrid experience. Tried to remedy in house to no avail, have to resort to going through Volkswagen directly to see if I can get any assistance. Schmelz made it perfectly clear that they have no interest in reimbursing me for my time or effort in fixing my vehicle which they sold as certified pre owned that should not have ever been. I checked the VW 112 point inspection list which clearly states the headlamps low and high must be in working order for the vehicle to be certified. This is not the case.Jenny took an already bad situation and greatly exacerbated the problem with her attitude and inability to let anyone finish a sentence. She also directly told me that her techs told her they didnt say something to me, my fiancé and I both were told that they did not have a tech licensed to work on my vehicle in the bay on Saturdays by multiple techs, and that was just how it was. Wouldnt even hear me when I tried to tell her they did say that, legitimately would not let me talk. Jenny also threatened me in regard to posting negative reviews saying I had 2 choices and they were to try to have a relationship with this dealer or I could write negative reviews and file a complaint with Volkswagen and see where that gets me.Jenny was unwilling to speak on the subject of compensation. She asked me what the dealership could do and expressed that they were going above and beyond for me. I do not feel agreeing to not charge me for fixing something that you should have never sold me is going above and beyond, it is my opinion that getting my vehicle into proper working order and into the condition it was sold to me as would be the bare minimum they could do rather than them working extra hard to go above and beyond. They did offer me a lower tiered rental but I was unable to accept this vehicle as it had a 100 mile daily limit and I wasnt allowed to bring the vehicle out of state. I was under the impression that they would be issuing me a courtesy vehicle, but it was an actual rental car agreement they needed me to put down myself as liability, but they did not allow me to go through the inspection with the rental company. I did not feel comfortable agreeing to pay for damage on a car that the dealer and the rental company had gone over before I had ever arrived.Jenny also informed me that it was 100% my fault for taking the day off work to try to get this resolved, even after I explained that I had been called Saturday night and directly advised that they would be calling me first thing in the morning to work out what would have to be done to get my car fixed and to come in and exchange for the vehicle they were borrowing me. They never called, at 3:30 PM I decided it was a waste of my day wait around for them and decided to call. They informed me that they were literally JUST about to call me. They also informed me that unless I was able to take yet another day off work to get this resolved I would have to leave to make it in immediately. So they told me they would call in the morning, never called, and then told me unless I wanted to take another day off I would have to make it down to the twin cities right away. Apparently this is my fault according to Jenny and I should have ignored what they said and gone to work as I can call your cellphone anywhere. I was not told we would discuss the problem, I was told I would need to come into the dealer and exchange my car.The only accommodation that has been made for us at all is not charging us for the parts and labor and the rental car we were offered. They also have owned up to that mistakes happen, but actually get quite upset at you if you dont accept their admission of fault as a resolution to the problem.I still do not have working headlamps after over a week with the vehicle and Schmelz being completely aware of the problem. The only resolution they are able to offer me is a worse car for an undetermined timeframe that I will be charged for any rock chips or door dings that were to occur to the car in that undetermined timeline.

Does anyone work here? Didnt look like it when I walked in to a barren showroom hoping to take a look at a 124 Spyder. Waited 10 min looking around at other cars ( a spyder wasnt on the showroom floor) and no one showed up. Tried across the lot at the VW dealership.. clearly more people around, but no one decided to talk to me.Fiat Minneapolis was considerably more welcoming.

Very rude employees... if you can find one. just as I have experienced with the VW side of their dealerships, the parts department is terrible. Glad I didnt give them my money. Do yourself a favor and go to Alfa & fiat of Minneapolis.
