I have passed Maplewood Bedding many times, but always thought a custom mattress would be prohibitively expensive. Finally, we decided to go in. Wow! Was I wrong! We bought a hand-crafted mattress and box spring that is well made, flippable and just the firmness we were looking for. No high-pressure sales tactics!!! Built and delivered to our home in about a week, as promised. We’ve had it for about 3 weeks now and we love it.

The staff here are very helpful! The owner really takes the time to explain the product and figure out your needs! We ended up buying two mattresses for our home, they even came over to measure our staircase to ensure the box spring and mattress would fit up the steps. They custom made our box-springs just for our needs. We would highly recommend this place for your next mattress!

We needed our old couch cushions to be replaced with new foam...took the old cushions to Mattress Wholesale/Maplewood Bedding and could not be more pleased with the results! Bought 4 mattresses from Maplewood Custom Bedding. Fantastic service. Quality beds. One of the few that still makes a 2 sided mattress, remember those? The kind that you can flip instead of just spin? Several different types and a warranty that is second to none. If you live anywhere near St. Louis, you owe it to yourself to buy from these guys. They are the best.

Amazing customer service and advice. We were in the market for a crib mattress and the amount of reviews you find on name brand crib mattresses was over whelming. They had built a custom mattress for a relative in a crib size no longer sold for a great price so we gave them a call. I provided them with the measurements the crib manufacturer had recommended and they helped me decide how thick and what materials we wanted. When we received the mattress, it didnt fit snugly into the frame even though it was the recommended dimensions... we should have measured the frame instead. We called and they said, no problem, bring it in and well add more material to make it snug. They did so at no additional cost. Not only was the crib reasonably priced, it was made locally! Purely awesome service! Bonus: some adorable showroom friends to greet you at the door!

We bought a very nice plug & play latex mattress and we love it. The customer service went above and beyond to make sure we got the right mattress. Justin and John were very informative and accommodating, and I love having the ability to select and stack different layers of thickness and firmness. This is an unassuming little shop but I cant recommend them highly enough.

My Son was looking for a new mattress. We went to 4 other stores to price the mattress here wanted. Then we went to Mattress Wholesale in Maplewood, found the mattress he wanted, priced cheaper than anyone else & because we lived in Maplewood, he gave us free shipping & free pick-up of the old mattress. On top of that, all of the people we worked with, from the salesman to the delivery people, were all extremely friendly & accommodating. We will definitely go back when I need a new mattress!!!

Ive been looking for a new mattress for a while and dreaded going to one of those commercial mattress shops with the annoying salesman. A patient of mine recommended this place. I was shopping for a memory foam mattress back in the early summer. After stopping in at all the big shops, I stopped in and test out their mattresses. I was amazed to find they build all their mattresses by hand and on sight (the owner gave me a tour of the entire facility). I tested out the mattresses and I was very impressed with the quality and feel. The prices were more than competitive, roughly $200-400 less than what I feel was equitable model of a nation-wide brand. I wanted to wait several months before reviewing the mattress. I have to admit I am incredibly pleased. Never have I slept better. The quality and look of the mattress is equal if not superior to mid-range/lower-highend range memory foam mattresses.The customer service was great, he built the bed to my specifications of comfort and size. I alsot came with a good warranty.I have already recommended this business to friends and family.

We have had our mattress for 1.5 years, and it still feels great! This was much cheaper than the chain stores, and equal or better quality.
