First off, this is not a Dominican salon….confusion at why that is the name, because the service and process is nothing like a genuine Dominican salon. Service is ok. I got a blowout and my hair is natural so when she used SPRITZ on my hair it kind of worried me. It made my hair hard and dry. I had been 2 times and that was my last time going to her

I booked on styles seat for a 1:45 appointment. Didnt get out there until after 6 on a Sunday. I have natural hair and just wanted to see what it would look like straighten. The lady that shampoo me was wonderful. Ms. jade appreciation for me being a customer was wonderful she told me numerous of times she appreciate my business. However I said three time I want her to get close to my roots so they could be straighten. She said yes I got you! Well she didnt and that would be why maybe I would attend again, that and the wait time. Also kinda pricey. I changed my rating for this shop because she is on style seats and I posted this same review and she made her comments and blocked my post. Now Im thinking why do that? Dont you want an honest opinion! Makes me think how many reviews did she block!

Let me start by saying, Jade does great hair. She has always taken care of my hair during my transition journey. However, I stopped going here because the attitudes were horrible. The employee turnover was so bad. Every time I went in there, it was always a new group of people. I started going here when they first opened and I was fairly loyal. But when I go to get my hair done, I want relaxation and you wont get that here. I am glad she is taking appointments only now, because she was there everyday, and it was clear in her actions that she needed a break. I hope this review is taken for face value and understand that everyone is not working against you. Sometimes when you cant keep your staff, its time to look at yourself and stop blaming others. No need to respond back with a scripted reply, I just wanted to voice my opinion.

Salon was nice, Clean. Everyone in the salon was styled beautiful. My grandmother loved the service and asked me to post her review. They even offered a Mens Keratin. This was the first I heard and after going home and doing resarch Keratin products are in stores for Men. The lady seems to know her hair products. Thank you for an letting me purchase the gift card and giving my special lady beautiful hair.

My daughter went there in August and when she blew out her hair she burned her forehead with that HOT blower. I called the owner when my daughter got home and told her and she kept denying that she did anything wrong. As a business owner shes supposed to at least apologize and try to work things out if you want to keep your customers. I told her my daughter will never go back to her ever again. Thank God my daughter was able to find a better Dominican salon that does deep conditioner for a lot cheaper than what Mia charges.

Great experience.. intimate salon setting.. in and out in an hour.. most importantly, my hair had body and lasted longer than typically...

Brought my 12 year old daughter to get a wash and blowout...$45...ARE U KIDDING ME???? Since when does a wash and blowout cost that much??? I called and asked how much before I brought here here and was told $35. Its all good. I will pay the $45...its not really about the $$$. I will gladly spend money on a product that is worth it, but when I have to wait over 3 hours and then pay another price other than what I was quoted and just to have something average done that I could have done....PA-LEASE! I will gladly take my $ to an upscale salon and pay a little more to have my daughter walk out looking feeling FABULOUS!

I never write reviews, but had to post this one... this salon is good for the basic wash/set, but please do not allow Mia to provide other services for which she is not qualified. She told me I needed a trim and even allowed me to owe her $5, since I only brought cash to cover a wash/set (plus tip), and she was more concerned with me having healthy hair than a few dollars. I thought that was a great gesture until I got home and combed my hair, only to realize she cut far more than a trim. Even worse than that, the left side is at least 3 longer than the right side, and the back is cut into a V-shape rather than even across! She even had the nerve to take a picture (of the right side), because she had styled my hair so well... its awful. Needless to say,  I wont be paying back the $5, because I have to pay someone else to fix her disaster. Hopefully the lady who had her hair colored before I was styled didnt go home to have an equally devastating surprise. By the way, Mia feel free to review the camera footage to confirm.

PLEASE DO NOT WAIST YOUR DAY AND TIME WITH THIS SHOP. SERIOUSLY! I arrived at the shop close to 5pm and first was told that I would have to get cash in order to get my hair done. The year is 2015 and its horrible in this day & time that I would have to go to the ATM to get my hair done... So I left the shop then called back to advise the shop I was on the way back and that my daughter was now with me... The owner then said she didnt have a waiting area... So my question to her was... Do you not allow kids in your shop? She then opened her mouth to say yes but kids are not allowed unless they are getting a service too... Like really!.. I have never in my life heard this at a business so I told her have a blessed one. The shop wont last 5 years with this type of greedy business mentality. My child has braids and services werent needed... So I left went to Cobb County on Powers Ferry Rd. and got my hair done by a real Dominican salon and loved it while my daughter sat and played with her Ipad. But thanks for nothing. I understand why you wont allow others to wait in the shop and have to pay for a service to sit because you arent making any money and Im sure you cant have any business because of the bad reviews and too many issues and rules. So again I hope no future clients will waist their time.

I have been going to see Jade since last year. My first experience was the bomb and I love my hair every time I leave. She is very nice and gives you advice about your hair all the time. Like she always says (I love to do your hair) and she really does and her results shows. My hair was not even that long when I first started going to her and now I have a little hand time lol... Mia was so sweet. She uses the best products and was so delicate with my hair.I have 4c hair. My hair is so very long, thick, and kinky but she was able to de-tangle and straighten without damage.

I have been going to a REAL dominican salon for 2 years. I decided to come here since I came home for the weekend and needed my hair done. There is a sign big as day that says DOMINICAN SALON. Went in and 2 black American girls were there. Still decided to give it a try since its Sunday and Im already there. Needless to say, they did not wash my hair with anything that Dominicans use or do the process that Dominicans use. My ends were brittle AND I found myself flat ironing my hair. Went to see my TRUE DOMINICAN stylist and had the CORRECT process done, well needless to say, my hair was so damaged, it wouldnt curl and she had to do extensive treatment and cut my hair due to the damage. She was PISSED!!! I shouldve followed my instinct and left but hey we live and learn.

I had been growing my hair naturally for a year with no silk press or anything, so I decided to give it a shot to see how far I had come along with my hair process. The price range was normal for a wash and blow out I believe it was 55-65, anyway I wanted a blow out and when she was finished one side of my head was smooth to the touch and looked great but the other side was puffy looking. I paid her and walked out, a couple hours later all my hair had poofed up and I was very disappointed. I dont believe this is a real Dominican hair salon. #thumbs down!

Worst stylist in the universe. Jade has not done my hair in a long time, but the horrible experience was impactful. Not only was she rude, but the hair Botox is nothing but horrible chemicals that ruined my hair texture. I asked about the ingredients in the “Botox” but she would not tell. I should have known better. I had to cut all of my hair off and start over. Please listen to the reviews.

I love this place! The only reason why I gave them a Very Good rating instead of an Excellent rating was simply because I wasnt to fond of the way they, the red-haired lady in particular, combed my hair. She was kind of rough and I observed that some of the other stylists were too! They need to be a little bit more gentle on their clients tresses by combing from the bottom of the hair to the top, instead the exact opposite. But other than that I like them and my straightness lasted for about a week and a half so that was pretty good. Oh and another reason why I rated the salon Very Good is because I noticed the styling was sub-par/okay from some of the other stylists. However, my stylist in particular, Jozy, had my hair full of body, super silky and shiny, but most of all was gentle while styling and didnt burn me. Price was pretty standard $55 (35=wash and set, 10=Deep Condition, 10=Trim). Oh and my stylist in particular knew the difference between a trim and cut...another plus! :-) The location of the salon was very convenient for me, since the salon is only 5 mins away from my house, so I definitely will be going back! :-) Overall, they all need to modify their combing techniques!

I called this place because my friends were telling me I should go to the Dominicans. She was close to where we were at the time. We called and she said to come in and ask for her. Her name is Jade but I have a feeling its Mia. Anyway, I asked for a wash and press. There were only two people working. One washing and prepping and the other, the stylist. My mom also decided to get hers done. Both ladies were full of attitude. You can cut the tension with a knife in there. Do not go to this place. To make a long story short she pressed my hair and wrapped, and also said she trimmed (she did not). Me and my mom are peaceful people and just paid and thanked and walked out. I got my hair done again a day later. And she informed me that she hadnt really trimmed my hair. Btw, my edges were not done. And I thought that was normal, but found out from my friends who frequent real Dominican salons that they have special tools to get that. By the way. I was told one price but the price kept going up. This place and its owner are scammers. Im sorry I chose this place last minute. I shouldve gone to the one that was recommended to me. I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Youll regret it.

I was here on July 4th. Actually the shop was closed. I called around to other locations and everything was closed. The ladies were cleaning and opened for some customers. Thank you for your customer service. The styles were nice and the place was clean. I enjoyed the service. Thank you for your business.

Was searching for a Dominican hair salon and came across Mias, and as im reading the reviews i see quite a few negative ones. But the deal breaker for me is the DEFENSIVE responses from the owner. That in itself is a big turnoff. I will continue searching for another salon. Instead of defending and deflecting, OWN IT, and make improvements where youre lacking so that your business can thrive. This has got to be the worst place in Atlanta. My stylist was Jade and her attitude was so gross that I just wanted to get my hair halfway dry so I could run out of there! I told her the water was cold as she was washing my hair an she walked away from me mumbling about how I didnt know what I was talking about. The salon has signs all over the place that are hand written and rude in nature. Please stay away from this place because it is not a real hair salon !!!! Im reading all of these negative reviews and this is terrible that people feel this way after leaving a salon when women are suppose to feel better. Terrible Customer Service, Terrible Energy, Terrible Reviews and Terrible Salon!!

I loved how my my hair turned out because it lasted about 2 and half weeks and I am natural . It only cost me $35 because my hair is at or below shoulder length and my stylist even trimmed it for me.I would recommend you come here. The prices are based off of where your hair stops . If it is at or below your shoulder, $35 . Anywhere after that is either $45 or $55 . I would definitely come back . Good luck.

Horrible customer service. The owner is rude and not friendly. I came here and she wouldnt let my friend stay, she basically forced her to leave the shop because they dont have a waiting area and there was NO ONE in the shop (she had to sit in the car). She does good but attitude is not worth it.

WORST service ever! I would not recommend to anyone. I arrived at 9:00 since that is what their website says they open only to call and be told they open at 10:00. The person who did my hair clearly did not now what she was doing, After getting my hair done I went home wrapped it and went to bed and woke up with an Afro! When I called to complain I was advised they checked for straightness before I left....I am not sure who did. I asked for my hair to be flat with a part in the middle yet I left with a part on the side and curls.....Never again and I suggest you dont go either! This is not the first time I have had this service(from another shop) and never had this problem. The thing that upset me the most is when I called to complain all I heard were excuses! No accountability! Then they had the nerve to say come back in we will rewash and charge you the same amount!!!! WTH?? She didnt put any chemicals on my hair at all so what are you rewashing for? Appeartnly the young lady who did my hair isnt even a stylist....Since the other lady keep telling people that called and came in SHE was the only stylist in that day I would not even take my Yorkie there for services!

BAD EXPERIENCE!!!First of all, i am very iffy about going to Dominican salons because of the rumored chemicals that they put in our hair, but in the pass .. that was the only way i could get my hair bone straight .. but this time, not so much .Her attitude is very cocky for some reason . And then when she was blow drying, I’m like you’re burning my scalp and she slightly snaps again like .. “well you need to turn your head correctly “ well how bout you tell me which way to turn rudeness . Like ugh .. horrible experience .My hair came out trash!!!!! Like how do you touch the whole head but don’t touch my edges .. that’s like the main part . And when i told her to touch up my edges she put some oil on it .. like no boo i need some Heat. Clearly, if you’re natural .. like African American, black girl natural.. she is not for you . I still had curls in my side burns like it was nothing pressed out about my edges or sideburns . She do not specialize in natural blackGirl hair .. that’s not her lane . I paid 70 dollars for some trash.. my hair was dry looking and my new growth was still kinda thick at the top of my hair . OMG I thought about this location for a silk press; however the owners responses all seem to be defensive, next! This is why most organizations pay a more friendly business consultant to respond to social media posts. Just because you begin every response with All due respect doesnt mean youve properly responded to a concern.You can turn off potential consumers due to poor responses to clients. IJS, anyway!

Worst hair salon experience Ive ever had. Ask the stylist any question and shell refuse to answer it. My hair looked nothing like it looks when I walk out of a real Dominican salon. The stylist even had the nerve to tell me I cant get your edges. My hair stayed straight for maybe two days and my edges and roots looked terrible. Overall a disaster

Very poor service just got my hair done I was charged 75 dollars for a wash and set with a treatment ... I receive no treatment and she didnt even put me under dryer ...she dried my hair with a hand dryer ... she rush the whole process... my hair looks bad .... I also tipped her and she didnt even say thank you... The owner is scammer she charges you for a treatment but doesnt give you one ... almost forgot she used a rat tail comb to comb my hair out ..she was ripping my hair out !!!! Dont go to this place ..: very bad experience !!!! We went to the salon today. Very nice staff, clean salon, nice products. My first time having used Aveda. Ive seen the store in the mall but this was my first time having my hair styled with the product. All I can say is A+ and you need to try this salon for yourself. Before I arrived I looked at the facebook and instagram pictures and I was sold. Hair come out not product heavy, light with lots of bounce. Keep up the good job ladies.

I set an appointment for 10:15 am and showed up on time only to be turned away because my 3 month old son was asleep in his car seat and couldnt be serviced. I was trying to honestly understand her policy and she just kept saying over and over anyone that comes in the shop has to be getting serviced. So Im totally confused because Im like? Im here? No where on the website does it say no children or for that matter no newborns. I was so shocked and overwhelmed... As a new mom, this wouldve actually been my first time getting something done to my head since I gave birth lol. So my level of upset was super high. Ill never refer anyone anywhere you cant take your newborn. I think I wouldve understood better if I had a toddler or someone that would actually need somewhere to sit... but my baby was knocked out for the next 2 hours. Perfect timing for me to get my hair done. But hey, I dont wish bad on anyones business. I wasnt raised that way. Ill just say if its too early for people to keep your baby or drop your baby somewhere as she kept suggesting I do, then just go to another salon until your baby is old enough to be kept by someone because you cant go in her salon with newborns. Shoot I started to ask did you want to shampoo his hair just to keep my appointment lol. Smh. And this was my first time there!!!!! Never had been before! So even if she had said in the future, it would be best to get a sitter, thats WAY MORE PROFESSIONAL than, everyone in here has to get serviced knowing full well theres no way to service a newborn. Just put on your website NO BABIES. In bold letters just like that. Lol. Please. All it says is if youre present in the shop you must be getting serviced. But logically you know you cant service a 3 month old. And no where on your site did it say I cant bring my 3 month old baby. When I say I sent a mass text to my mommy group and literally said never go here unless you have a sitter; but even other beauticians I told this story to said I wouldve just Went ahead and done your hair just to extend a courtesy and just remind you next time it may be best to find a sitter. Theres a way to do EVERYTHING.... And as business owners, WE have to make sure that even our attitudes exude customer service even when we may not feel like it. God can keep our businesses covered and open, but he wont elevate us until we become more like him even in our business matters. Practicing compassion is a big thing. Thats what was missing from this encounter. But Im sure the shop will do well the prices seemed great.Now understand, MY review wasnt for an attack. Like I stated I wasnt raised that way. Mia idk who youre referring to in your response, that wanted braids in my previous comment lol but I have never had braids . Youre confusing your customers. My hair is not short... Its been to my mid back since 2012 . Youre going based off my profile picture lol Smh I even have naturally curly hair and its not hard to press @ all but you had a hard time with a easy task. Good thing I read these reviews! I just googled hair braiding near me and have been reading these reviews for about 15 min in utter disbelief! How dare a hair care professional accuse her clients of lying, trying to bring her down, etc when they tell her legitimate complaints and have proof and can show pics! I called around 630 asking what time the shop will be closing she was nice enough to tell me to come in she could fit me in but when i arrived i noticed it was only 1 stylist working which wasnt a problem but i feel as though my hair was rushed. I explained to her how my hair was and that i havent been in awhile (mias Dominican) which is the only dominician shop that i have ever went to, my hair felt great after washing but when it was pressed i DID NOT LIKE THE RESULTS. The blow dryer burned like hell but to my knowledge my roots was going to be straighten but i didnt know that my edges all around wasnt going to be touched at all i showed her a pic of the many times that i came in and just randomly sat in a chair and every time my hair was on point i dont know if the ppl that used to do my hair are gone now or what but i would perfer them. My front edges was not laid how they suppose to been and my hair smelled burnt from her overused flat irons. I talked about getting my ends clips but i changed my mind after seeing it straighten after she wad finished she only took a side angle of my hair at which i guess she thought was best and at the end i didnt want to be rude considering it was last min on my behalf so i said her work was great in the sign in book . i writing this review because last night after leaving i was pissed to the point where i wanted to cry i wrapped it soon as i left the shop and went home woke up this morning for work and its still poofy so i brushed it back into a ponytail. My hair was dirty and dry but it wasnt that nappy i had a perm last month. My money was literally wasted because i could have done it my self especially when she said she been doing hair since she was 3 years old and to give her feedback it does not show with my hair. Thanks for the wash though at least that was done right. No weapon formed against you shall prosper but im just speaking facts and i also took pics of my front view and back view if u would like to see them !!! GOOD DAY!!!!!

That is not a real Dominican salon. I should have went to my original stylist on the other side of town instead of being lazy. My hair was blown out alright but she didnt get it nice & silk like Im used to. My edges were not touched & I wasted my money. I could have flat ironed my hair and it looked just like her services . Tuh all these bad reviews should speak for itself. I should have reviewed this first. Smh she told me she only took cash too . Idk what they are running in there but its a mess. Idc how long yall being doing hair... Customers are complaining like hell. I know Ill never go back! I wish I could take a picture of my hair to put on here. The sad thing is the little phrase Mia keep putting after she comment. Lol smh going to pay my stylist what she deserve.... Im out

I absoutely lovee the way that they took care of me and my hair. Absoultely amazing. They brought my hair back to life.

Please do not let Mia touch your hair, she definetly do not know what she is doing...I had the worst service ever ask for color and blow out and left with burnt face and burnt scalp with over process hair.. She thinks im not going to sue her i cant wait. my hair was aleast 14 inches when i arrived now it is barely 9 inches long with split ends and hair missing every where.

Rude and very unprofessional. The cost for the tired hair styles is not worth your time. Please heed the warning look else where for true service.

Rushed Not good at laying edges frizzy and dry but prices are high and there are specialist that do it much better.

Went to this lady jade about a year ago she asked if I wanted my hair trimmed I told her yes but instead she cut my hair into a circle and the length was about the size of a bob when she got done and now my hair grows longer in the front than the back.
