Amazon place with a large variety of varied antique objects to look at combined with a ton of records and even a listening space where you can lounge and listen to different records. Just stopped by here with friends after lunch and wound up spending more than an hour just checking stuff out, would definitely return.

This place is amazing! Went there yesterday for the first time for record store day. Huge selection as well and the owners were some of the nicest people Ive met. Will 100% be back

What a fantastic place to stumble into. By chance we enjoyed the aesthetic of the storefront and came in. Ended up having wonderful conversations with all of the employees about life, music and photography. This is a must if you are in town. Fantastic vinyl collection, art and many other random needles in a haystack.

Can not adequately put into words the rude, condescending attitude of the woman that owns this place. Not sure about anyone else because she is the only one that I have had the displeasure of dealing with. But, lets put it this way...if I were trying to sell an antique or vintage item and the sale of such item was going to keep my family afloat, I would not bless her with the opportunity if she were the LAST buyer on the planet.

We absolutely adore this place and have been visiting them since summer when we discovered them. My older teens are very into vinyl records now so they get a lot of business from us. The staff is all very super friendly and knowledgeable and we will definitely keep going back! They have a TON of records, CDs, even cassette tapes! They also have old magazines and comics as well as antique items, like cameras, etc. A great mix of of old and new when it comes to music!!!

Awesome selection and customer service. I went on Record Store Day this year because the other spot I went to only had 2 copies of the record I wanted that were sold before my turn (5th person in line). I ran across town and Sweet Melissa had at least 10 copies left after they had already been open for an hour and sold some im sure. Thanks for being so helpful and on point! And knowing how to stock your inventory properly. Will definitely be back

People often espouse and romanticize Mom and Pop local stores, and its become increasingly rare in this day and age that the idea is realized. Sweet Melissa treats me well and are always happy to see me, greet me warmly, and genuinely ask how Im doing. The enjoyment of music is an intense passion for me and the folks at Sweet Melissa are as well, they listen to as broad of a range of music as I do, an honestly I find that a more rare trait.Sincerely from the bottom of my heart thank you for always brightening my day and taking care of me. 🙌🙌😎

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this amazing shop. This place has truly been the backbone to our experience here in Marietta the last 3 years. Not only do they have amazing antiques to browse they have an amazing selection of old and new records and refreshing book selection as well! This place is an over all Jem in the haystack that is Marietta. Melissa and Jim (along with their wonderful staff) make this place amazing and are the reason we got started in our vinyl/Polaroid obsession. Do not hesitate to pop in if you’re in the Marietta area! You definitely will not be disappointed. It’s with a heavy heart we are relocating. No record store could ever match the electric atmosphere sweet Melissa’s has to offer.

Staff was friendly and kind. They were knowledgeable about the vinyl I chose and showed me recommendations of similar ones. A really unique shop that has a wide variety of records and antiques. The owners are really nice and helpful and super organized. The only reason for the four stars would be the prices are considerably higher than the competition. I would have bought way more had they been less. I understand they are downtown and not too many record stores near them. Still go and visit because they have some unique stock.

What a charming shop! From the moment I walked in I was acknowledged as a customer which is something you dont see quite as often anymore unless youre at QuikTrip! then I was there for the final records so I went immediately to the back and started looking and the gentleman that acknowledged me when I arrived even following up on how I was doing. I digress though this place has a fantastic selection in vinyl records as well as other collectible items. the price of the merchandise is a little higher than what you may expect from some stores in the city or elsewhere but the huge array of obscure releases and things that you may not find anywhere else make it worth any extra cost you feel you may be paying. If you want good proper vinyl you pay the price for it! I cant wait to go back again what a great experience.

I like this ol shop on square in Marrietta GA. While packing up house.. We have to get rid of a LOT; I mean a whole lot of timeless magazines and newspaper headlines, etc. before the big move to FL in 8 months, more or less. Otherwise.. We will just let valuable stuff -- be wasted. And they are accommodating. Know a value and very fair prices. We just want right people to display collector items. Its Melissa and her store manager/ co-owner(??) that have a lot of knowledge. Parking is hit or miss on square.

Its a cool local shop, with a good vibe and nice selection. awesome place to burn a few hours browsing. That said, the prices are high, and dont trust the grading stickers that are on some of the records. I dont care how nice the sleeve is, You cant grade it a 9 if the record looks like its been used as a furniture slider

I was in the store yesterday and am still very impressed. I was searching for a particular Steve Vai album, Passion and Warfare. I told Melissa, and she was immediately on the hunt. We got to talking and she was telling me she had a line out the door for a particular bands new release. I thought this place only sold used records. When I got to looking, I was surprised by the available selection of new records like, Bon Iver, Daft Punk, Elton John, Black Sabbath, Kanye West. (The used selection is vast.) After searching we couldnt find the vinyl I was after. However, after an email, they should have it in a few days! Its not often you find a gem like Sweet Melissa Records, so I had to write them a review and share my experience. Warm atmosphere. Kind employees. Awesome experience and selection. Check them out.

If you are coming to buy speakers or something expensive, make sure you are old enough and look like you have the money.I’m 15 years old and I went to this store to see what speakers they had in the $1000 range. They had a pair of Focal speakers that were falsely labeled as $999pr. I asked for the manager to put on a record I brought so I could hear them but he said “oh those are eight grand”. At the time there were a pair of $1600 Tannoy speakers right beside the Focals. (The Tannoy speakers were the ones that were connected to the amp they were using.) I asked if there was any way to just switch the speaker wire over to the Focals but he just replied “ no sorry” Again, this was the manager I was talking to. He would only let me listen to the Tannoy speakers. It’s not like he had to move giant $8000 Focal speakers across the store for me to hear them, he just had to switch the speaker wire. I just decided to walk around and look through the records. I came back about 30 minutes later and asked if there was something wrong with the Focal speakers and he replied “no there is nothing wrong with them”.I am not giving this store any stars because that is no way to treat a customer regardless of age or how much money they look like they make. If you own or work at a record or hi-fi shop I hope you treat your customers better than that because it affects sales of the store and it’s just rude. (I was forced to give this review 1 star because it wouldn’t let me post it with none.
