Great food and delicious ice creams but better to visit in the lunch time. There is usually always a very long line for dinner and in the later evening! They close at 9 pm which makes it difficult to get food if you work till 8pm

Maybe if you payed ppl a livable wage you’d have employees. Don’t tell ppl you can’t serve them bc they don’t have a car when you’re too lazy to do your job every other fast food place can work with 3 or less people. Maybe if you got off your phones and did your job you’d be able to serve people.

We are from out of town and my kids and I loved this place. The fine in area is fun and the ice cream is great.

Really disappointed in the size of a medium sundae. Really wonder if there was a mixup and I was charged for med. but given small.

I’ve yet to order any ice cream from them and be disappointed. Whether it’s their “Freeze” (mixer), slushies, “slush-whips,” or malts, it’s all been delicious in every different flavor I’ve tried. Out of their food, I can recommend their hotdogs and all of their sides/appetizers.The lines often stretch back because of high demand, but they do a reasonably fast job with them.Not every food item on the menu is an absolute winner, and they could add more items there that are of good quality, but you really can’t beat grabbing ice cream here.

Food and ice cream are good. But service is always snappy and extensively long wait for your order. Waited 30 minutes for a single order of fries.

This is second time weve gone for yogurt and the flavor of day does not match internet . Not willing to return based on poor advertising.I appreciated the response from Parlor City and have noticed that they do have the daily flavor of frozen yogurt when you call now. 👍

My food came back half done and cold, had to go back and order more than half my order because they missed it. i asked for a crunch freeze and ended up with a crunch coat freeze😥 which is peanuts and i am deathly allergic it didn’t look like a crunch bar so i did not eat it and i searched what a crunch coat was cause i did not know. i almost ate it and could have died i guess.

Good icecream and hotdogs. The fries come unsalted but hey its probably for the best health wise. Sadly, few places now a days offer that low sodium option to the customer. I only wished they asked if I wanted salt for my fries.

This is a great local place for good, greasy food or ice cream! Its especially excellent on a hot summer day or when cooped up during the day winter. If youre searching for a quick place, I highly recommend here. I especially enjoy the chocolate brownie Freeze.

Ive come here plenty and the ice cream and the fries and everything are just amazing! I have a personal preference for anything mozzarella so their mozzarella sticks are the best thing for me! And they always adjust their indoor temperature for the weather! It was nice to walk into a nice warm ice cream parlor after an upsetting homecoming night in October you know?

A very nice spot in Marion Iowa where you dont find many close stores.With drive through.I like their ice cream, French fries was amazing and just fried.The buns of the burger are too soft for my taste, I dont wanna call it soggy.But there is a subway close and few other stores.If you are not from Iowa, and need to go shopping I would go to Cedar Rapids which is 10 minutes away.

We love this place! It has the look and feel of an old time ice cream shop. They have lots of ice cream options and the food is good too. They have good service, even when the place is packed on a warm day. We enjoy both the inside and outside seating since this place is pretty small.

You need to have faster workers .... there was legit 20 cars in line ... we sat in like for over 30 minutes... if you know its going to be busy hire some more people.

Two Thursdays ago following a track meet my 5 year old grandgirl and I stopped. A young man was so patient in allowing her to decide on her choices and verbalize them. Just the sweetest! The food was great and we enjoyed our outdoor picnic at their clean area outside!

My sister loves their ice cream. I enjoy some of it- a few of the flavors were lack-luster, especially when they try for unique flavors, but I have had good ones, too. The variety is nice. They try to capture some out-there kinds with decent success. I appreciate that, since its fun to try something new. I go there often for my sister. They once messed up the size in our order and charged us for more than we got, but I think that was just an uncommon mistake. They have decent service and the drive through is appreciated. Price is just fine. Id recommend it.

The subway next door was faster. The worker rolled her eyes at me when I came in. I waited 15min for my small order of cheese curds. The whole place was empty. I could not wait any longer or I would have been late to my next destination. I dont think the worker ever made my order. They were on there phone the whole time and still was while I was leaving. I like the 50¢ ice cream tho:)

This is a quaint ice cream shop in Marion and its owned and operated by local people. The peanut butter shake was dreamy! The French fries were fresh and crisp. Its worth a visit.

To Sherry Williama review. I was the girl behind you when you got rotten food. Only thing rotten was you and your child like tantrum! You didnt like it since chocolate was frozen... When you pulled it out of the freezer thing they have. Then you proceed to smash and rubbed the Ice cream all over the counter. Something my toddler didnt even do when upset. So your good want rotten you were and treated that staff so poorly! Side note my ice cream (cotton candy flavor burst) and breaded mushrooms were delicious! And staff even after they were just treated so poorly were so freaking friendly!! I will be back 11/10 will come back!!!!!!

It was an amazing ice cream shop. The decor was classic last century and the ice cream was delicious. I got a chocolate cake one that was absolutely amazing and my wife got a mint chocolate chip that was sublime. Highly recommend.

Clean nice fast and cheap

Parlor Ice Cream offers much more than ice cream with a complete menu of fast food items from hamburgers, hotdogs,to chicken strips. It has an efficient drive thru which we often use. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I got a butterscotch malt and it was amazing! My 2 little granddaughters shared a smaller chocolate shake and the Parlor happily split it into 2 cups with lids and straws for them.....very hospitable! In summary: the service was great and the product was excellent. Try it!

Workers are very nice but mistreated by management

I’ve always loved their ice cream and everything,except the last few times I’ve came to parlor city I’ve asked for my flavor burst to be mixed and they’ve told me it has to be one flavor only ? What’s the point in that management? It’s silly if you ask me, and I’ll never be back, service was fast and friendly tho, ONLY reason why company gets 2 stars, 5 star service, 0stars for sense 🙂🙂🙂

Just a good old-fashioned ice cream parlor Ice cream is thick and cold so it doesnt run down your hand the minute you get it. Great place to take your kids. Really enjoy the jukebox.

I love parlor citys ice cream and their tenderloins too. Great service, staff is typically very friendly. Only thing I would change is there have been a handful of times that I waited in drive thru and they had gotten my ice cream ready and it had been waiting too and was melting when I got it. I go there often though and this has rarely happened. Check out the flavor of the day calendar on their website! Different locations have different flavors of the day fyi.

Worst service Ive seen in a long time. I stood in line ALONE for 10min waiting to get my order taken. They are incredibly slow and appear as though they dont wanna be there. I left without ever getting my order taken.

Took grandchildren. Busy place with its drive thru. Located close to the Collins Rd. Off ramp in Marion. We ordered three items and it was just under $12. I ordered frozen yogurt and I thought it was excellent, so creamy. They also have a store on N. 10th in Marion, Iowa.

Not a big fan, they werent busy. Was waiting 25mins for an ice cream cone for the kids and I till I finally got a little crabby with the employees for just standing there talking in between orders and giving other ppl their food/ice cream. Mind you these people were ordering after me. Then they give me what I did not order so I gave it back and got what I ordered. It was ridiculous.

Nearly very time my husband and I go here, our order is wrong. I would say 4 out of the last 5 visits they have given us the wrong order. We much prefer the location on 42nd St NE.

Every time I go to this location (the 42nd St. location is fine) and ask for a freez (the equivalent of a blizzard from Dairy Queen) they give me a shake. I still get charged for a freez which is slightly more expensive, but they never seem to give me one. Good ice cream, but never what I order. I feel like you should know the items on the menu of the place you work. Back when I worked here you would get scolded and have to relearn how to make to correct item. Anyway, I highly recommend the 42nd St. one instead.

The food is pretty low-quality, even for a fast food restaurant. The people working were nice, but it’s not somewhere I would want to eat at again.
