I brought my car in for servicing and Robert, who assisted me, was professional, honest, and knowledgeable. I knew the car needed some work, so he gave me his honest opinion and options available to me. He was not pushy or a “salesman”, but instead he guided me to the right decision. He will have a customer for life now as I have other cars that he will be servicing in the future!
I went in to have a battery change for my 2015 Audi Q7 I chose this place because the Audi dealership had no appt until two weeks out. I called this place and they had an appointment with two hours so I went with this. I was given a total of $700.00 to change my battery very much over priced. I did research with other places and my battery was less than $200. I told the guy I had been given a better quote for someone to come out to my home for the price of 463.00 that included battery and service. Which I understood their pricing due to coming out to your home. Well long story short after telling the guy this he said he was gonna see what he could do. I paid $502.00 and I’m pretty upset because I was desperate for a battery that same day. I do not recommend at all and next time I’ll be going to a trusted business. In my opinion I was just a person they robbed. I went into the Martinez CA Meineke.
I went there looking for help after multiple failed attempts at other places. Thinking I’d be going in waiting for hours on end, I was there a max of 1 hour. The staff was phenomenal. They worked with me and got me the best deal I could get and also were very informative. Always letting me know what was going on with my car and what they were doing to fix it. It was a quiet shop but it was a wonderful experience.
I’ve been to this location twice they do a great job. The first time I went here they didn’t have the tire I needed so they drove me to get them for no additional fee. They’re the best….
Took my car to get AC fixed. Paid for an hour of labor for them to inspect and diagnose my car AC and give me a quote. I wasn’t too convinced with the original quote of roughly 900 but they insisted the can fix it so i left them my car. Just to find out that after they fixed what they said was wrong, the car AC still didn’t work. Then they gave me another quote of another 1,100 on top of the 900 i already paid to fix the problem. That was way more than I could pay at the time. So basically paid them to misdiagnose my car and fix things that apparently wasn’t the issue. I would of wished they would of told me upfront that it was going to be 2,000 so that i could have declined the work instead of paying 900$ for absolutely nothing because the problem wasnt resolved
From making the appointment to checking in and waiting for my car, I was treated with respect and courtesy. Everyone was very professional and only did what was necessary. I definitely would take my car to this Meineke again.

Scheduled appointment to get brakes fixed. Guy at the front counter refuses to put on mask. Then tells me to wait. I wait another 10 minutes...he is texting on his phone. I ask if I need to come back. He snaps at me that he is the only person there, he has to answer the phones, emails and fix the cars. Lets just say he was beyond rude. After half an hour of standing there and going in and out of the lobby, I decided to leave. I dont want someone who is unable to focus on repairs or who has zero support to fix my brakes.What is really sad is that my husband and I have been taking our cars here for quite some time for general maintenance.This shop needs to follow the county mandate that was updated August 2nd and post their requirements for masking and have their employees follow these as well.

I went for an oil change but the guys found some things that needed to be done. Cars require maintenance so be it. The guys were very friendly and kept me in the know. I had to wait for my car but it was done pretty quickly. I would give it 5 stars except they forgot to give me a copy of my work order. Haha

I made an appointment for 1pm but due to a drs appt running late i had to call and see if it was ok to still come in even though it would be an hour late. They welcomed me no questions asked. I left my car there and walked around down town. I received a call notifying me of their findings and a quote for the repair. I was told that prior to them calling me they had already ordered the part and that it would be there in the morning. I went ahead and told them to keep my car and move forward with getting it repaired. I received a call at 9:30 in the morning the next day saying that the repairs have been made and my car was ready for pickup. Great prices, great customer service. Great, honest, hard working company. Will deff be coming back for future repairs.7/23/21Follow up:Again as i guessed it in my lat review, my car had another problem arise. And i brought it in right away because i know i can trust these people. And same as last time they found the problem right away and notified me that my car would be ready in the morning. Super speedy. This time my repair cost way more than i was able to afford and Robert made it happen. He helped me with finance options and got me approved for the total amount of the repairs so i was able to get my car repaired. I will forever be bring my cars to this shop especially because of people like Robert and all of his hard working staff. Without his customer service and his honest and welcoming shop, i would not have been able to get this repair done. It is really hard to find a car shop that genuinely cares about their customers and their cars. This shop does just that. If you are looking for a great car shop that does quality work and staff that treats you like family no matter who you are, this is your shop. I know this post seems scripted but its not. I just truly have never had such an awesome experience before. When everyone else said “oh well”, this guy said “we will make it happen”. Thats someone you can count on! I brought my 1990 4runner in for a coolant leak and they said that they would need some time to inspect and see where the leak was coming from to see how much it would cost. They told me I had to do several things to stop it and made sure it would run well, including repairing my radiator. I said ok but the price was a whopping $1500 which extremely high for those repairs/replacements after looking at the market value price for parts, but I was preparing for a long road trip so I went with it and got my car at the end of the day. It looked ok, was driving well, I’m thinking they did a good job, but then a week goes by and I notice that my car starts overheating and I hear liquid spilling on the ground and I find the same leak I brought my car in for the first place is still there. I brought my car back in and they responded by saying that they “didn’t even know a hose went back there” so they didn’t bother to check when they did the original inspection. I will never go here ever again because not only was I robbed for the price on my original visit, but my primary concern was never addressed, their experience level was not up to par with what was needed for my car, and they proceeded to try and charge me for the fix that needed to be done in the first place.

They did good work but charged me 2.5 hours and only worked on the car for 1 hour and 10 minutes. They had the opportunity to charge accordingly but stayed with the original estimate. I realize they are trying to make money but they should make money charging for the hours they actually work. A couple of hundred extra bucks won’t kill me, but it will make me think twice before I return to them. The staff is friendly.

Paid $288 for a battery for a 2013 Accord, plus $100 to install. I went along with it because they said it was the cause of my dash error lights staying on. It didn’t fix it. They said I now needed to go to Honda. $822 later for oil change, brake fluid change, interior and outside air filters and battery. Never again.....
The person attending the service center was not properly wearing the face mask. I wasnt not grant the free diagnosed check of an engine check light as advertised. I also scheduled an appointment which was not accommodated. I left and went to AAA Auto in Excellent service and respect COVID-19 protocols.

I showed up on time to my appointment to get my wheels aligned. Rob, the front desk guy said it should take between 15 minutes and an hour. 1.5 hours later he called and said it will take an additional 1-2 hours to perform the job. I wasnt expecting the appointment to take that long so I had to uber to work. I asked the employees if I could come pick up the car after hours and they agreed to leave it in the lot for me. I picked up the truck and the alignment was worse than when I brought it there and the steering wheel is far from centered at the 12 oclock position. The alignment readout said I needed a camber kit to resolve the issue. Ive had the truck for 4 years and it is stock height. A camber kit is not the appropriate part to fix stock alignment. Worst of all the employees didnt call me first to advise me of the issue before taking my $89 to make an issue worse. Ive had issues with the incompetence of this shop before and I made the mistake of giving them another chance. I seldom write reviews but this awful experience necessitates one.
The mechanics at Meinke in Martinez CA, communicated in depth, over the phone and in person. They not only completed the work efficiently but also came through as people who really cared about giving me knowledge about maintaining my car. Now, I know the benefit of having a good rapport with my mechanics and look forward to going back to them again.

They took a misadventure with a tire puncture and made it all better again. There was only one person working when I dropped the tire off: “I’m a little swamped and might not get to it until tomorrow.”Then half an hour later he called up to say it was done. He even helped get the wheel back on the car!Friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond.

Meineke takes advantage of women and charges them for services they don’t do or complete. I paid $2,200 for repairs that weren’t done. On Friday 6/26/2020 I brought my car in for some repairs stating I was from out of state and visiting. After 2 days of leaving my car for the repairs I was called to come pick up my car and it was finished. Before I picked up my car I stated my father was a master mechanic for 35 years and I need the parts to show him as he would be looking at my car since I spent so much money. Austin showed me some parts but when I asked for a box or something to put them in he stated the were to heavy and I should just take a picture. Not having a box I took a picture, i paid, signed my paperwork and also signed 3 pieces of blank paper. No sure why I was signing blank sheets of paper. But I trusted him, He seemed honest. I then drove down the street 10 minutes and noticed my car still hadn’t been fixed. I immediately called but no answer and on Monday 6/29/2020 I brought my car back and took the mechanic for a drive and pointed out the problem that they should have fixed but didn’t. Austin stated they hadn’t fully completed the exhaust manifold job and they would now fix it, Austin kept saying they just needed to goop it up. He said the mechanic had other work to do and I would need to leave it for 2 more days, I asked him if his mechanics were certified and he said he did not know. On Wednesday I was told my car was fixed and to pick It up,. I asked if all work had been completed, he said yes. I told him I would be driving a long distance and couldn’t have it break down. He said it was fixed. On my way out of town I heard the noise again and called Austin he said to bring it back in. I said I was no longer near and needed a district manager to call me and I felt I no longer trusted Meineke to work on my car. He said he would relay the message. I never received a call. He called me 2 days later for my email stating he didn’t have it, which I had already given it to him when I paid. He stated they would email me. It has now been over 2 weeks and no calls or emails from anyone. I will be disputing these charges in my credit card. This business takes advantage of women! Don’t go here! If I could give less than 1 star I would. They over charged the jobs and cost me more time and a whole extra week out of town for repairs the didn’t fully complete.

Ive been going to Meineke in Martinez for many years. Mostly for oil changes but Ive also had tire work done and other things. The guys are always very nice and polite, and they do a good job. I recently had a tire leak which they fixed for free and I appreciated that. You can make appointments online also.

I am very happy that we made that change for our automotive care. As I always mention to my teenage daughter, “if you take care of your vehicle, it will take care of you.” Meineke has very professional, prompt and friendly service technicians. Austin is awesome, very thorough, friendly, honest and professional, sharing and explaining every detail of the service to be done or needs to be done on your vehicle, timing and cost. He knew exactly what to do when my vehicle was missing screws for the underbody panel. They are very fair in pricing and knowledgeable. I recently purchased a vehicle and got a pre purchase inspection at Honda dealer. After telling me the issues I was suggested that I change the brakes in the next month or so since the front brakes had 3mm left.I found a groupon deal and saw the ratings for this Meineke to be superb so I headed to the shop to get them replaced. Steven, the manager, was super straight up about the groupon and the deal and my options. He was super kind and told me hed get his tech, Neil, do a quick brake inspection to see what we were working with.Within 5/10 minutes he came back to me as I was waiting and told me my brakes were fine. He brought me over to my car and Neil showed me that I had 6mm left on the front and 8mm on the back and id be good for at least a couple years.He had me on my way and gave me the papers, no payment needed - all I got was honesty! will be back when I ACTUALLY need my brakes replaced!Thanks Steven & Neil!

I was about 15 - 20 minutes late to my oil change appointment due to a misunderstanding. However, the front desk person fit me in. If you provide your own oil and filter its only $25 dollars. And it took less than 30 minutes to complete.The two guys who were working were very professional and kind and drive it up to the front door while you pay so can you just hop in and leave.
Two experiences 5 star and 1 Star: purchased two Groupon vouchers for Meineke services 2 1/2 months ago. The 1st an Oil Change I used immediately and received great service & communication and discussed my return appt. for My 2nd service voucher for Brake Pads. I scheduled last week online for 8am this morning. Brought my truck in and as soon as I walk in, the young man at the counter says I tried calling you to tell you, “my manager says we are no longer taking Groupon vouchers.”Disputed my case, But he was not budging and following his Manager’s/store directives. I came back to this specific Meineke store because of my 1st experience and trusted they would continue theIr great customer service and communication. Even recommended Them family/friends to this store after my 1st experience. I was wrong and will not be back again!

I got my oil changed and alignment done and ended up having to replace my control arm and a couple other things. Luke or lucas was so cool and helpful. I applied for financing and got approved for the full amount I needed to pay. I will definitely be going back to them for all my car repair needs. Thank you guys

I called in the morning to make sure I didnt need an appt, the person on the phone said I should make one to ensure faster service. I showed up at my time and was helped immediately. Steve was knowledgeable and quick to assist and get started. He explained to me what the package included and then he even brought me back out to the car when it was raised to SHOW me some of the things he was going to suggest. Great service all around, will definitely be back!

I wanted to have a front end trailer hitch installed. The mechanic told me he could do it and it would take approximately an hour and a half to two hours. Then he came back and told me that he did not have the proper drill bit. He wanted me to go down and buy The drill bit he needed to do the job. I think him for a looking and said no.
My service was very quick. They were able to get what I needed done at the time of the scheduled appointment and finish quick than what I expected :) staff was very friendly.
Finally found my go to full autocare place. They are Professional, Knowledgeable and quick to diagnose the issue recommendation to fix..
The business is small and they attended me very promptly (I also was there on a holiday in the early morning so it was dead). They did my oil change for my Honda Civic in about 30 min. Only thing is that they forgot to do my tire rotation. I’m not sure if I was suppose to ask for it or if they simply forgot but I didn’t realize that until I got home. I thought that was included in the package deal that I got from Groupon. All in all, it was good service and great price (I got a groupon for $45 for full synthetic).

I went in for an Uber vehicle inspection. It was done in a timely manner. They said 20 minutes for the inspection but it was more like 10-15 minutes when it was finished. The people there were very friendly and helpful.

I had an appointment for an Uber inspection at 11AM but they refused my appointment when I got there. They said there were 2 oil changes ahead of me and I could wait or come back at 3PM. So I waited until 11:40 and they still havent checked my car in so finally I just left. I think that my $20 uber inspection appointment got over-run by some walk-in oil changes. They dont honor appointments and the staff is confused. I would not recommend going here for anything.
Came hear to do an Uber inspection. Very impressed. I take my cars maintenance very seriously. The place I’ve been using seems to go to a lot of ownership/manager changes. I like using a chain store with many locations, in case of warrantee issues while I’m on the road. I’m switching my car care to Meineke. This store is significantly closer to my home. I was impressed by the professional attitude and knowledge of the young man on duty. Treated other customers with respect and familiarity. I think this is a good fit for me. Thank you.

I spent over $1,400 in repairs at Meineke on Pacheco and that same week I took it to all flow muffler on Pacheco for a different issue and he checked Meinekes work based on the work invoice and I immediately took it back to Meineke so they could correct the problem after backpedaling on the quality of their work. I will never go to Meineke again and they also told me that I needed an additional thousand dollars work done that I knew nothing about cuz they handed me back my keys. If it wasnt for Danny Larsen at all flow Muffler going the extra mile for customer service I would have been none the wiser and continue to patronize Meineke and their lies

Took about 2 hours with an appointment for an oil change. Service was decent no complaints its def a mans world there lol! Needs a ladies touch at the front desk and to do little things that count like coffee and just the things we bring to the table. I go there often and love the coupons they help alot with me being able to upkeep my car.

I took my truck in to get a regular oil change, and the service technician brought me in to look under my truck where it is leaking fluids. Claiming that I needed to replace my oil pan ($4-600 job) and that he may not be able to do an oil change due to it being slightly dented near the bolt. He also treated me very poorly and like I was ignorant because I am a female. Last note he would not answer any of my questions, and made me feel like if I did not agree to replace it I would end up stranded. Needless to say I took my truck to a different meineke I was in and out within 30 minutes, oil change done, and my inspection was done letting me know I was leaking fluids very simple. Not happy this business is money hungry and they deceive people by making them feel they are not safe in their vehicle.
Took my truck to fix a problem that they cause last time that i took it over, and they came with a fix to another problem trying to get over 6k too much even the dealer is cheaper.
It cost me almost $500 to get my brakes fixed and they still sqweak. Almost worse then they were before. Its reall fustrating i dont have time to take it in again ti get fixed. Poor job.
Very bad service. Don’t go there. I went with Groupon coupon for oil change and overall check. At First appointment no technician was available and they advised me to take another appointment. I went again two days later and the technician recommended to change the Motor Air filter. I decided not to do it there as I do it my self. 2 weeks later I opened the hood to change the filter. I found that the technician left the filter place open and loose. I don’t know if he did so because I refused the filter change service or what. I went back to them blaming them for what They have done. They were very rude and even didn’t try to get me satisfied after the big mistake they did. I’ll never go there again.
