Love this place! Allergy free gelato, which is really hard to find! The employees were courteous and were all wearing masks, which I greatly appreciated since I have a compromised immune system. The gelato is fantastic! My hubby got Brownie and Salted Caramel. I got Mint Chocolate Chip. It was perfect. Super creamy and the chocolate was more like shaving than chips, so it didnt feel like it was going to break your teeth. It melted instantly in your mouth. I also got the chocolate dipped cone which was also fantastic. Run, do not walk to Artisan! You wont regret it!

First of all… WOW! Absolutely fantastic service. They have attentive and knowledgeable staff members! Love how this is the only Gelato place I’ve ever been to that is gluten, dairy, treenut, dye free! I tried the mango, coffee, mint, cookie dough flavors and they were all amazing. So refreshing and felt really good afterwards! Way better and healthier than milk icecream! Also gluten free waffle cones ? Wow! Please open up in Dallas, TX!

Good vegan ice cream at Artisen. It’s a great place to take out kids since is spacious and they offer free samples. We took one star since the ice cream is not quite as good as other options we tried but it’s still very tasty. I highly recommend checking out this place

Wow! Its vegan gelato. I had no clue. Its delicious and they have a ton of options. I highly recommend for everyone, but if youre like me and have a mix of vegan/non-vegan friends, you cant go wrong here. We got salted caramel and fig orange and they were delicious

We were recommended this place by a friend who is primarily vegan, and WOW this gelato lived up to its expectations. I had the New York style cheesecake and mango passion fruit cheesecake, both of which were STUNNING in their respective flavors. You can definitely taste the coconut milk, but I think it adds a little something extra. You definitely need an acquired taste to have this ice cream, as it’s a little “coconutty” (so beware picky eaters!!!) but honestly there is a flavor for everyone. The chocolate gelato is stunning, the coffee is amazing, and simple flavors such as strawberry and mango are also excellent! If you are ever in town, go to Artisan! You will absolutely love it :).

Good, but.... Its a little disingenuous to call it gelato. Every flavor here is vegan, nut free, dairy free, etc. This leads to a very different mouth feel than actual gelato made the true Italian way. I ended up getting cookie dough and chocolate crisp scoops. As I said, they were good, but not the same as true gelato. If youre vegan, Im sure youll love this place!

I absolutely love this place! It is hard as a vegan to find places that offer sweet options. Their gelato is always fresh and they have tons of flavors. I highly recommend it to anyone, vegan or not.

Loved it so much Ive gone back every day since. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. They let you sample all of the flavors, and give heaping scoops. Toasted coconut is phenomenal, tart key lime pie, EGGNOG divine heaven flavor. Lemon is true to flavor, fig and cheese is unique and tasty.The owners and employees are all so bright and friendly. Absolutely adore this place. Oh and they have free wifi so you can come geek out while you enjoy dairy free, gluten free, dye free, peanut free, treenut free gelato.

This Ecuadorian gelato shop, run by one of the sweetest families, is a gem in Matthews, NC! Before Artisen I had never heard of Ecuadorian Gelato. Now Im hooked & in the shop once a week. The shop it has been beautifully designed, the flavors are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is so pleasant. I recommend the shop to everyone I come across colleagues neighbors, friends & family. Do yourself a huge favor and check this place out!

We visited this place today, Amazing so clean the young lady was so nice we will be returning. I homeschool my boys and we learned all things Italy and I wanted to take them to a local Gelato shop and this place was perfect.

Is it ice cream, gelato? Who cares! Its the best of any of that stuff that Ive ever had, and my family goes here regularly. And, being that it is vegan, no animals are harmed in the making of anything there, so the whole menu is fair game for folks like me wishing to avoid financially supporting such practices. Nom!

Great gelato and what makes it even better is 100% of the flavors have a coconut milk base. So it makes them all dairy-free. When you have children with a dairy allergy, places like this are true treasures, and extremely rare. If you arent picking up what Im putting down, try telling a 6-year-old they cant have ice cream a million times over and you will quickly see how important a place like this is to have close by! The owners (husband and wife) are absolutely lovely people and I hope they can stay afloat with enough support to keep doing what they are doing. By the way, this a family-owned and operated establishment, and all the gelato is hand-made on-site by the owners.

Always a hit for my family of four. Especially since half has a dairy intolerance. They half a great selection of flavors and keep it fresh by changing it up. It is a delicious treat that happens to be healthy too! Service is always pleasant and polite. They also have cakes and a cookie they do now. Amazing since it is all vegan. Try it out, you wont be disappointed!

This place is always good and the workers are very friendly. I bet they would let you sample every flavor if you wanted. But if the line is long you maybe waiting a while as they are not the fastest.

Honestly THE best gelato we’ve had outside of Italy! It is SO fresh and tasty, and the fact that it’s made from coconut milk instead of dairy is a HUGE plus for my dairy sensitive kids.The owners/workers are so kind and really do care about customer satisfaction. They let you sample before you purchase, and the price points are awesome as well. My son and I went to Artisen for the first time today and it was a great experience! Friendly staff helped us sample many delicious flavors. We settled on two scoops each key lime pi and mango for my son, and key lime pi and coffee for myself. The allergy friendly recipe makes this a treat that even my son can enjoy. I would recommend this treasure to anyone looking for a smooth and creamy treat for their friends and family. You owe it to yourself to check them out!

I have a milk allergy, wheat allergy, and nut allergy and was able to have every flavor! They even had a delicious gluten free waffle cone I could have. Usually when I find an ice cream/gelato store that has a dairy free option, its only one or two flavor options and theres NEVER a gluten free cone - this is such a special place! They are super knowledgeable about food allergies and very nice. I will definitely be back!

Ive been here 3 times now and have tried a few of their flavors. Delicious!!! I love that they offer vegan/gluten flavors that have not compromised taste because thats usually my experience when trying dairy free frozen desserts. I highly recommend trying this place.

Cute little ice cream place. My wife and I went on a whim Sunday. Love the different flavors but the caramel just didnt taste as good as I wanted it too (basically just tasted like the regular store bought stuff). Next time Ill try some more of the fruit flavors cause the strawberry was pretty dope.

This place is INCREDIBLE. I never leave reviews, but the vegan ice cream and the service were so amazing that I felt the need to review. The ice cream was SO refreshing. I had I believe what is called smooth wave and strawberry - they were the ultimate refreshing combination. I took my mom and husband here, neither of which are vegan and both of them sang its praises just as much.

Excellent place. The passion fruit, brownie, chocoleta, which I tasted, are great. Didnt like the coconut, though; too sweet for me. But the ambience is also very inviting. Will definitely go back again.

Lovely little place. Lots of flavors to choose from, and was told we could sample as many as we desired... so we sampled, I think, around 12... and that wasnt even half of what they had. All were good. Would definitely recommend!

This place is amazing and it’s VEGAN and dairy free! I was eating dairy free for a while and could not believe it was right down the street from me that whole time. They said they cant have another sign outside saying they are vegan and dairy free, but I wish they could so more people could know about it.
