I had a bunch of sterling scrap and some gold from vintage family jewelry, but have never sold scrap before. I called to check the percentage of spot they pay, and was told 75%. When I went in an hour later I was told 70%. That is a big difference! Not sure who I spoke with, but it was the same guy as on the phone. I might be back, will definitely check out other places before I go in again.

I was very happy with the service here. The price paid for my jewelry was what I expected, and I did not feel pressured or manipulated in the slightest into selling my pieces. I will definitely come back here if I want to sell in the future. Im also glad to know that they offer other services and will ake referrals as well for jewelry pieces that Id like to have reset or customized.

I had some old service awards and broken bits of jewelry I decided to liquidate. SOGE’s website said all the right things, so I decided to give them a try. Very good decision. It was no frills and informal, but everything was done correctly. After many years of working with precious metals and alloys for electronic materials, i’m Somewhat familiar with how to estimate values, and they were spot on. Shawn did an excellent job of explaining and showing how he did the calculations and measurements. The payout was actually a nice amount more than I had conservatively guesstimated. The whole process was open and above board, efficient, and kind of pleasant. After the good initial experience i’ll have no hesitation about going back.

I am sad to say that I have a negative review to write. I sold 5 gold Swiss francs to the nice young proprietor here who gave me $200 each for them. A month or so later I went to Alexanders in Medford and got $230 each for the same coins. Unless the price of gold went up significantly in the span of 4 weeks I believe I was not given a fair price. If I am incorrect about this, I will retract the review.
