I love this store!!! I always find what Im looking for. I love to cook and they carry specialty items like gluten free. I find unique spice blends. I love their fresh fruit and veggies. Prices are reasonable. Good quality food. Ive purchased other things like household and beauty items, also from pharmacy. I have no complaints.

Being from the west coast, we dont have Meijer stores. So when I stopped here for some groceries I was amazed!!! The quality of the produce was outstanding! The shelves were well stocked and lots of options. Great prices on everything. Loved being able to find my brand of dog food. Build Meijer stores in California, please!!!

Got my meds & pjs for my little boy

I am so very disappointed, I ordered two cakes for my kids bday party. One Avengers cake and one unicorn cake 3 days before. When I arrived to pick the cakes up not only were neither of the cakes the one I ordered, the avenger cakes frosting was falling off the side and the unicorn cake was not only the wrong one but was also not even an actual cake in the book! The bakery dept staff had a very “oh well” attitude about the whole thing. Disappointed is an understatement.

Last night I over heard an employee yelling at an customer!! I was astonished at her disrespect towards him. You would assume she wasn’t even at work or just ready to quit because she didn’t hold back at all. The man seemed very shocked but still held himself together as he spoke to the manager about the situation and while responding to him and yelling at the customer. Literally it makes me not want to go to this Meijers. I’d recommend finding another Meijers location if you want to avoid getting your head chewed off. How terrible!

This has always been one of my favorite places to shop its very clean organized employees are welcoming.

I love Meijer because they have two beautiful greeters. Each time I go into this store they make you feel special. One of the greeters name is Thelmalina and I just love 💘her. Also the food is fresh

Meijer here in portage has sole awesome cakes and bakery. I went there to have a cake made for my sisters birthday and they did a great job.

Meijer is a awesome grocery store, but they always have the deli short staffed and have one person working. Thats not fair to the person behind the deli counter. I can see why workers never stay.

Love the gas station an employees

Store is a little dirty, perhaps unkept would be the best way to say it. It seems like its way to big of a store for the merchandise. Prices are hit or miss, some stuff is a really great deal, others not so much.

Had a great experience there today. I was home on R&R. On a first date and I was in the cart and the store Director asked me in the most respectful way to get out of the cart. I appreciate his professionalism. Keep up the great job sir.

Where do I start. The store is spotless every aisle organized quite impressive. The staff is extremely helpful. The facilities are extremely clean also. Too many donuts to choose from and the sushi is amazing. Cannot wait to get my hair cut at the Barber shop there looks like a good time period keep up the good work

The customer service was friendly from the beginning to the end, the shopping experience wasnt bad the items that I purchased were fresh in the food department! However every single check out line was super super slow. The self-checkout they only allow people with minimum amount to use them. And because they have every every line set up like an express lane at any other store with the spinning bag stations it set them up for failure every time. I stopped going to the Meijer in my hometown because of this reason, but it seems that everyone of their location is set up the same way. When they ask me on my receipt if I were likely to recommend this store to anyone I told them the truth not at all. In fact I wont be back, customer service is only half of the equation the other part is important to.

Christine S. Checked us out at the Merrillville location and she was beyond rude. With 3 kids and 1 and 1/2 shopping carts full of groceries she was very impatient with my husband and I unloading and making room to take the bags. We go grocery shopping here all the time and never have any issue and moving forward I will make sure we don’t use her again as a cashier.

I visited Meijer Grocery store in Indiana. I bought and thought these .99 cent eggs to use for baking. However, when I went to use them one of them had a ODD Shape top and it contained around the whole circle of the top of that one egg. I was very very uncomfortable with this food product. So i Contacted the Meijer Indiana store I purchased it from first. And was told bring back the eggs. I advised them I would be traveling all the way back to them from Illinois. Travelwise about a distance of 17 miles. When I got to Meijer. They gave me back .99cents and not even a good sorry this happened. However I must statein remust I would have felt guilty if those eggs were Tampered with and harmed other people so I traveled back to theSource and told the Meijer store and showed them the odd shaped and cut up egg. with the perfit shaped top. Meijers Have not gotten back to me yet???? I even reported this incident to their corporate office. While sitting in the Indiana Meijer parking lot.

I used to love going to Meijer for their variety of products and prices. Unfortunately when I go there now, they are out of the things I want. I dont know if it is a stocking issue, or they are just out, but it is very frustrating. Probably will not shop there again.

The store was dirty. The meat shelves were barren. Now i remember why i quitShopping there.

The Portage meijers was terrible.Their customer service needs some major attention. My 100.00 plus receipt was incorrect and a young lady Brittney couldnt have been any more unhelpful . She couldnt have been any less unprofessional. I will never shop there again

Clean friendly and disappointed at not finding my shoe size

The cashier lady acted like we were bothering her because she had to do her job and was very rude which rarely happens to me and my wife. But we had three separate little orders yeah like we have all the left million story building with a bungee cord.

Shopped here a lot. Staff is generally friendly. Costs are not the cheapest. Good deals can be had but you have to hawk the store to find them. Needs another bathroom. Always clean. Never enough registers open.

Been going there for 4 years and have way more goods than Stack.

They do have quality products but a lot of the Meijer products in health and beauty had prices. The same products but from different companies didnt have prices. We went to several of those price checker things and they werent working. Im disabled and dont walk well not can I walk far so having to run around trying to find a price checker or an employee was too much for me. I can never find an employee there to help me with something. The only employees I see are the greeters and the cashiers. No help since they are already very busy. I prefer Walmart. Everything is priced no matter what brand it is and theres ALWAYS an employee around. Their price checkers all work too.

This is my local Meijer in my neighborhood I enjoy going there I wish they had more clothing and shoes Ive noticed the one out in Portage has more quality stuff I enjoy shopping at Meijer but I do not like the old lady at the front door every time I walk in the door I beat because I have a plate in my wrist this crazy woman tries to attack me as if I stole something on the way in they need to do something with her shes giving the store a bad rep

Meijer is always clean with great sales on meat often.Friendly,helpful employees, especially the butchers...I think the bad weather nationally has caused shipping and delivery problems which has put a crimp in their usual supply of some basics. Never have I seen their frozen vegetables selection so thin in the recent past..That has to be the reason.

Never have a problem going there.in and out with everything needed. Sometimes a bit pricey but worth it if you dont have the time or gas $ to go to different stores. The meat doesnt look to good most times. Be careful what you buy.

Meijer is cacophony of curated curiosity, clothing, cookwear, and cold cuts conspicuously placed off the busy route 30 you could easily miss this not-walmart big box store, but the store is clean, the new employee who couldnt help us was very sweet and professional and the shorts she helped me pick out are easily among the most comfy clothes I currently let cohabitate my closet. Congrats consumers.

I normally dont have any problems with Meijet, but must say when I let them know a perishable product was on the shelf and not refrigerated, they took the item off the shelf long ed nough for me to walk away and they returned the item to the shelf. Someone can get sick from it. I was there again and that item is still there. Very disappointing.

What a disaster this pharmacy is. The customer service is horrible. The staff treats guest like they don’t want your business. Long wait times, rude and unprofessional. Had all my prescriptions moved and I will never come back!

We went shopping here for doordash and theyre out of stock with the majority of the items that it was on our list. At the customer wasnt so cool about the substitution it would be a complete waste of our time. Order your stuff and get your stuff together so we could shop!

Got cherries and most of them were rotten. Very disappointed!

I use the pickup app. It’s mostly convenient. The staff are always courteous. But I almost always have items missing, so I use to double check my order. Chances are I have to go to another store to get missing items. Sometimes I’m charged full price even when things were missing. Idk if this is an app or store issue.
