First time customer, arrived super early for my appointment but they were able to see me right away. Staff was very friendly and patient! There are so many choices for frames. Doris was such a pleasure to talk to while inputting my order! I am extremely happy with my experience and I highly recommend making an appointment with these folks!

Phenomenal place. Went here on multiple days to get eye exams and glasses for myself and my SO. Every single staff member was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The nurses/assistants kept everything running smoothly, the doctor (David Ly) was knowledgeable, and the glasses/sales attendants were great too. Overall, best eye care place Ive ever seen. Glasses only took a week, too.

Love this place! The employee Saint helped me out & was so friendly with great customer service. The other two ladies at the desk in the back were amazing as well. There was a problem with my insurance & they worked really hard to figure out what was wrong. This wasn’t my first time there, but this will be my permanent place to get my glasses. They have stylish options for frames too! I had so many options I had to send pictures to my family to help me choose lol. I also enjoy their selection of comfy contacts. Highly recommend this place & their staff!!

Ive been getting my glasses here for years, no problems. When I called to see if they had a doctor that could help with a certain eye infection the receptionist talked to the doctor and called me right back to schedule an appointment. The doctor gave me a prescription for antibiotic and said if I had any more problems give them a call, I might need to see a specialist. So... my infection came back and I cant get them to call me back! Left 2 messages with receptionist saying I either need to talk to doctor or get a referral to ophthalmologist. Its been 8 days!😠

One guy specifically made our experience 5 stars. He helped us get checked in, know about our vision benefits, get the best deal and get checked out. I don’t remember his name but he made the experience very personalized and even talked with my 6 year old daughter. To me that says something because she doesn’t speak to just anyone. The ladies in the back also were great, too!

First, this Visionworks location feels clean and safe; you can feel confident that they’re taking the pandemic seriously.Also, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. They walked me through every step of the exam and said what they were doing and why.Finally, it felt like they valued my time. I was in and out in less than an hour. WOULD RECOMMEND!

This is my second time going there . First time I went there the ladies were very nice and professional. Today I was trying to ask a question to one of the ladies that work there when a man named Saint abruptly interrupted the conversation and he was very rude to me and unprofessional. He didn’t let me finish asking the question I had . I left the place because the man was yelling at me and did not let me ask the question I had . Horrible customer service from Saint .

I am many other eye glasses stores I can go to around me but I choose to travel here because of the staff! From the doctors office to the retail area... this office is amazing. So warm, welcoming and awesome. Clean, safe and organized. Honestly I choose a place based on staff and safety, you could not go to a better place than this. My 13 year old is the one that needs glasses, so if she feels comfortable and asks to go to a certain place... you know it is a perfect fit! Keep up the amazing work Dobson store, we appreciate you!

I was really impressed with how vision works handled the new covid protocol. They were very efficient & safe even when it got busy. I had a great appointment with Dr Sonia Chung. I felt like she was one of these doctors that actually cares about your eye health and encourages you to do the same.

I’d love to set up an appointment, and the other locations got back to me immediately. I started calling this store 3 times starting at 3:30pm on a Thursday... when they close at 6pm, it says their operating hours in the automated message, and then after waiting a minute or two it says “Sorry, you’ve called outside our normal operating hours. Please visit our website to schedule an appointment.” They’re open according to their website and google, it’s not near closing time either. So I’m just disappointed there’s no way to contact them.

We had to go back 2 days in a row. Only because our 2nd visit was better am I giving 3 stars instead of 1.Our first visit as we parked we saw someone in the store for a few minutes without a mask. No big deal, we get out of the car, we wait as she passes by and goes in. Because we saw someone not wearing a mask and because it was the day the mandate was lifted on wearing masks we didnt think it was a big deal. She asks us to wear our masks, I politely let her know the mandate has been lifted. She said she knows and still asked. No biggie we do. As we are getting our glasses I asked her about the other woman. They told me she was an employee. I said well that makes it even worse your not following your own rules. They then tried to say she was just clocking out and must have taken off her mask while clocking out. Remember we were sitting in the car and saw her inside for a while and passed her at the door to get in. So annoyed that its ok to have employees break the rules or they only apply when they want them to. Ask when our other glasses will be available they said in a week.Next day get a message that rest of our glasses are ready. Should I be happy its sooner or that I cant trust anything that they or their system reports. Another lady came in behind, had an appointment and another staff member was abrupt with her even though she had an appointment and told her if she didnt want to wait she could come back another day. The same lady we dealt with yesterday helped us again. Made sure we had our masks on so no arguing.she asks our names, gets our glasses and leave. If my wife didnt remind me there was another pair of glasses they had. We went back in and she apologies for forgetting to give us our other glasses. Glad we didnt drive off yet. I also had to ask for a microfiber cloth for our glasses. Im used to other companies giving you one with each pair of glasses. Btw in the past 2 days we got 6 pairs of glasses and no cloth until I remembered to ask. We had no option of cases to choose from for our glasses for the adults or kids. We asked for straps for our younger son to keep his glasses on from falling they dont have those available. The selection of products on glasses did not seem to be that good especially for myself having a wider face. They advertise extra discount for specific brands but their specific brands are far and few in-between and even less of a selection.For future glasses I personally would go to another location or completely different company or private optometrist for our family needsThe back staff with the eye testing and the dr was great, the front staff, needs additional personality, training and just overall help

Awesome experience especially for these trying times. They take safety and cleanliness to a whole new level. I was also blown by how much they are utilizing the newest technologies. The new retinal imaging meant no more annoying dilating the eyes and with it Dr Yen was able to spot early onset of macular degeneration.

The office was clean and I felt the technology was top notch. I chose to pay $39 for the digital imaging and avoid having my eyes dilated. The doctor could see much better views and I didn’t have to endure the dilation process. It was totally worth the money! The glasses were expensive, but they had a buy one get one free promo, so I was able to get sunglasses also.

All of the staff are extremely friendly and amazing over all, but they definitely made it a relatively quick and easy process with very little to no worry.

Saint, Mario and Doc NG are the best! All three took time to make sure they got things right and are helpful and caring people. I left happy and am now waiting for my glasses to be finished. Prices are very reasonable too. I ended up buying two pair and will be buying my contacts from them also because of the money i saved getting glasses.

Stepped on my glasses, naturally I went down to Vision Works. I was told if I waited I would be helped in 30 minutes. Not an issue by any means, I was happy to wait seeing how i was going to be helped. I waited 45 minutes, no biggie, I could tell they were understaffed. Except they had me wait 45 minutes to make an appointment after they had already promised to help. I should probably mention who I assume is the manager mentioned to me in verbatim, “I run the show here” after I tried to explain to him his employee told me I would be helped.

Dr. Patel was very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I didnt feel rushed, and I had a great experience overall here.

I just wanted to say that I enjoyed my visit tremendously!!! The Doctor was super nice to me and she was a female. I got the new and advanced OCT scan. I would highly recommended it. It took pictures of my eyes next to my brain and the under eye bones and she made sure that my eyes were healthy because I have been worrying about them a lot. I have a twitch in my right eye pretty badly and she told me not to worry about it. That it will come and go because it is just stress. Also, a shout out to the girl Deon who helped my for hours. I ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses with the most expensive things on it. I am so excited to get my glasses that I can hardly see straight!!! This was my first eye exam in 4 years. Btw..... When I got done looking for my glasses to try on I had a overflowing tray of glasses. Not only did she give me her opinion on the glasses because I asked for her opinion. She went over to the glasses section and looked for my glasses like the ones I had with different sides to please me. She wasnt trying to get rid of me and I was worried about that!!! I was the for like 2 hours trying on glasses. She was so patient with me and super respectful of me. She wanted to help me from the beginning and did such a good job with me and I was very pleased. Now I am just waiting for my glasses to come in and I so excited to be in style with my name brand glasses 👓 and to show them off. I always get compliments on my glasses because I take so long to choose them and I also make sure of many things before I buy them! I am a huge perfectionist and I also have severe OCD. I dont think anybody there knew that though. Anyway I couldnt be happier with my experience and I highly recommend them. Plus, Mario was soooo amazing in every way possible. Super talkative and not afraid to give his opinion on things!!! I loved him truly. I was bummed out when he wasnt there for my eye appointment for the next day. Mario is the one that told me about the OCT scan and I loved it and I also didnt have to get my eyes dilated at all. So I could drive home and not wait to drive home. You dont have to get your eyes dilated to do the OCT scan. Furthermore, overall my experience was rejuvenating and fun trying on all the glasses. Love you guys and I will see you soon!!!

Vision Works is the best! I took both my brothers in, one of my brothers is in a wheelchair and could not reach the first diagnostic machine. Susan, Terry and Mario were amazing! They made sure that my brothers were examined and set up a handicap able solution! Cannot recommend highly enough. Saint was very helpful in selecting frames that would support their prescriptions.

I have been using this same doctor and store for years. They are so experienced, able, kind and professional. Dr. Ng is a gem and the store staff are just top notch.

They wont answer the phone to discuss how much I DID NOT want any appointment with their doctor that had provided marginal service in the past.I would strongly recommend that anyone avoid this business, regardless of the deals they advertise.Try Walmart.

Vision Works on Dobson is Amazing!!! My daughter has had some eye issues recently and so we needed a place and we were lost. My sister recommended Visionworks Dobson because their staff is awesome... boy was she right. My daughter was nervous, first time eye issues in our family, but from the moment we got there she was at ease. They explained everything, Disney music in the background and they made her feel empowered that she was lucky enough to have glasses. Mario, the GM, was incredible. So sweet, friendly and went above and beyond for us. We spent a lot of time going through frames and we never felt rushed or pressured... he even showed us the discount frames first. When we found the frames my daughter liked, he also found us a coupon that saved the day. He went the extra mile for us and that means a lot to us. We will go the extra miles to only go here from now on. Thank you for making a nervous moment in our life very comfortable and happy. It means the world to our family!

Visionworks Dobson Shores, if ur current workforce cannot keep up with your incoming phone calls, hire people to tackle demands. You hung up on me twice, ur line keeps putting me on hold, it takes you 10 min to answer a phone call after being placed in the waiting queue. And when u finally answered, u were too quick to place me on hold again, then couldn’t find my line I was holding on. It’s like this every time I call.GET SOME HELP!! Read ur awful reviews.

First visit to VisionWorks but was impressed about the eye education I received by the optometrist as well as staff friendliness. I was explained in good understandable detail what my eyes go through and what happens internally. Giving 4 stars because all the stuff I filled out on VW website had to be redone by me manually. Kind of defeats the purpose of having me fill it out online imo

Scheduling was so easy, when I arrived for my eye exam they were ready for me, and all the info I gave them ahead of time was pre filled out for me, the doctor was very easy to talk to and she explained everything I didn’t understand fully. She was quick and very kind. After my exam the staff was very sweet and helped me entertain my three year old while I had help picking out glasses. They found some extra discounts for me as well. This has been one of my worse experiences we waited to order glasses as they ignored us, the guy had the worse attuide and then wouldn’t wait on us so we had to wait for the lady as he had taken 4 other people who walked in after us. I had a follow up after waiting an hour I left never ordered my glasses. Now I need contact I have to waste my time to go back there to see the dr for another follow up so I can sit there for an appointment, their customer service skills are not on point for a place like this. Oh I let me add the guy wanted to fight what my benefits were even after they were verified and tried to say the lady was wrong even tho she verified them. I don’t feel my experience was a good one, felt more of inconvenience then a paying customer.

Was in this store yesterday, 6-24-17, after having a very bad experience with a competitor. I was warmly greeted by Megan as I walked through the door, was in the other place 2 hours and never acknowledged. Megan immediately asked what they could do for me and began to help me look for frames. We found a pair of frames I liked and she smoothly transitioned me over to another employee, Saint, who finished up my order in a timely manner. As stated, I had been at the competitor for two hours and Megan and Saint took care of my needs with very pleasant personalities within probably 25-30 minutes.This was a VERY PLEASINGLY experience and I have already posted to my Facebook directing my friends in the East Valley to your store. You all were fantastic and obviously the A Team for Visionworks. You earned a lifetime customer yesterday and I would recommend a raise for everyone at this store. You all work as a well oiled machine.Thank you doesnt seem to express exactly how I feel but that will have to suffice until better words are invented.I know to anyone that may be reading this review that it sounds like one of those made up reviews but it is NOT. I was so frustrated when I left Eyeglass World and will never go back into one of their stores ever. The team at Visionworks took care of me so well that I just had to sing their praises. Friendly service. Lots of frame choices, even the sale prices ones. My only complaint is that they appeared to be short staffed. There were only two people to help customers and answer phones, which meant they were running ragged.

Yeah, we changed our vision plan and now we NEVER have to go to Visionworks again! The last 2.5 years have sucked. Visionworks is staffed with rude impatient people. All three members of our family have put off getting glasses because we didnt want to go to this awful place for abuse and glasses.YES we changed our coverage to get away from dealing with these people!

I always have a good experience at this Visionworks location. The personnel are always very helpful and patient. I do want to say that Doris is AMAZING! She was so patient and so focused on using my insurance to it’s fullest and getting me the right pair of sunglasses. She was also the most knowledgeable person I’ve ever worked with in the glasses business. On top of being awesome, she was able to do this while being short staffed and helping multiple people at once.Update 1/19/2021– returned a year later and was helped by Sindi. Greatly enjoyed my experience once again and conversed with several members of their team. Many of the same faces from last year which is a good indicator of a well functioning and happy office. All were friendly and knowledgeable and their office is taking great care with COVID practices. Met the new Dr. Lad this year who has an excellent “bedside” manner and takes time to explain how your eyes are doing based on the tests they do every visit. 10/10 would recommend.

My frame for my glasses broke so I went in Visionworks for a quick repair. Mario, the manager assisted me. He providing me with a new frame that was completely covered by my insurance. He was able to put in the new lenses that he removed from my broken frame within a few minutes. I walked out of the store within 10 minutes wearing my new glasses that fit perfectly. Thank you Mario for your awesome customer service!

Had to call several times to get a bunch of wrong answers. Finally Went into the office to get it. No directions on how to do the rebate. Figured it out myself. After all of that, In the end I missed the cut off date!! $70 down the drain!!Please educate your new patients. Especially those new to contacts and glassesThey only get stars bc the dr found an astigmatism previously not found by others

Staff friendly and helpful

When I came for my appointment (new to this place) the staff was friendly and the girl helping me was very helpful and made good conversation. My doctor was very informative and thorough with my exam.

All around a very pleasant experience. I got my first pair of big boy glasses and it was quick and painless. I received a comprehensive eye exam and was seamlessly handed over to the eyewear associate who expertly assisted me in choosing not only the frames that fit my face, but also ones that were best suited for the progressive lenses that I wanted. He was familiar with my insurance and worked with me to get the most out of my benefits. The glasses were supposed to take 10 days to complete but were ready on the 8th day At pick up they ensured the correct fit and made the necessary adjustments so I was back out the door in 15 minutes.

I went in for an eye exam and glasses. The doctor was very rude and argumentative. Once I received my script I went to buy glasses and the sales person was very pushy toward the pricier items. She didn’t explain how my insurance worked whatsoever and made it difficult to choose. If that wasn’t bad enough when a gentlemen came in who was physical impaired(who thought he had an appt) was treated extremely rude. At that point I left and will not be returning!

This is the worse location. I was in to buy eyeglasses and was billed automatically for an eye care kit. Although the cost was minimal the fact remains that they billed me for a recommended item without discussing it with me. Please review your receipt when dealing with this location.

Not my favorite place for a prescription or glasses. I felt my prescription was off (too strong) and it was eventually fixed. I did enjoy dealing with the staff, but I feel whoever they contract their glass prescriptions with does a horrible job... this is Visionworks as a whole! Not this location. Its pretty bad when 3 of my family members had the same glass prescription issues.

Vision works has an almost overwhelming assortment of frames which is a great because they have something for everyones style. Ashton and Molly helped me find the right fit and made sure I got all applicable discounts as well they were great! Got one of my glasses the same day. Very pleased with visionworks because the staff is awesome and I saved money!

Been here several times. Staff if very pleasant. BUT... Prescription mess up for 3 people in the family. One of us almost fell down the stairs because of the faulty prescription. Also scheduled a follow-up, no one to meet with me and talk about my problem. The tech ran to the doctor and back answering questions. (I dont understand the point of my appointment...??) Not happy with service.

This review is entirely based on the professionalism or lack of the optometrist here at this specific vision works location and price spent for lenses. Dr. Ng I believe was her name completely did not build any rapport with me nor spent an entire 5 minutes for the entire eye exam. Ridiculous, how am I suppose to tell you my concerns when the Dr. is such in a hurry to leave? She even scorned at me to not touch my glasses during the exam, and seemed irritated when I couldn’t decide on the clarity of the lens. I’m definitely not going back for an eye exam though they did have plenty of selections for lenses. Note I believe some of the lenses/frames they carry are a bit overpriced for the quality you get. Seriously what is Blue Moon frames? Beer company? Nope, looked it up and it’s visionworks own frame, probably a partnership with a knockoff Chinese brand. May want to take consideration before coming here.
