This is an amazing place for dim sum their dumplings are very trendy... Ive also ordered birthday cakes from here.. the staff is very friendly and their is a short wait time. If you are a foodie, I highly suggest you experience wishing town bakery cafe!

Cakes are light, not too sweet and literally melt in your mouth. Shop looks clean and staff are super nice. Definitely coming back.

Desserts are an absolute yes! But the food.. I was upset we ordered so many items to try.. nothing was good. Some things were OKAY.. I will definitely return for the desserts though! If it was a dessert only they’d get 5 stars!

I saw a picture of the Wishing Cake on a friend’s FB post, so I had to go get one. Got that and macaroons. The cake was dry, the whipped cream left a film in my mouth that tasted like lard. The macaroons were about the size of a quarter and were $2.00 each. The disappointing cake ( 6” x 3 “ at most) was $12.00. I will not be back and guess they won’t be in business long.

This is a nice little cozy baker and their exotic cake slice were delicious. I love the fact that its not too sweet and the cake is light and airy. I was very pleased.

What a charming little place! We went in to get a piece of cake and bubble tea. I had such a hard time choosing just one piece of cake (we were visiting from out of town so it was a really critical decision) but I ended up getting the taro cake and it was incredible. The frosting wasnt super sweet, the cake was light and fluffy, and it quite literally melted in my mouth the second I bit into it. I didnt regret my choice at all haha. My only regret is that we ate lunch before coming here and we were too full to get any of the soup dumplings which looked incredible. This café is very authentic and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for some quality Chinese treats :)

We came specifically to eat lunch here & pickup a couple bakery treats. The menu is in a state of flux right now so its surprisingly small (4 types of dumplings total, soup dumplings with beef or pork, fried or steamed dumplings with beef or pork; a few chilled dishes with beef, salmon, or vegetables; crushed cucumber salad). The portions also arent large, but it lends itself to eating several different small plates, like dim sum. However, all of these items are very delicious, especially if you love spicy & mouth-numbing pepper.Yesterday we got a set of pork soup dumplings, a cold salmon & veg dish, and a crushed cucumber salad. (I only got a photo of the cucumber salad after we had already nibbled at it.) The salmon dish isnt particularly photogenic, but it was excellent; thin slices of fully cooked salmon soaked in soy sauce over a bed of chilled, stir-fried cabbage and onions. It was a light lunch, but it gave us room for desert (we split a slice of mango crepe cake).

Never ate here before. I wanted to try their takoyaki(octopus balls) but was given Teriyaki beef tofu puffs instead. I guess since i didnt express that I wanted the octopus balls instead of using the Japanese term for it, there was a break in communication. Over all, the Dragon dumplings and beef teriyaki puffs were very delicious! Never had it before and I always like trying something new. I will definitely try them again.

Cakes are delicious. Had the soup dumpling and although it was delicious, I wish it had more soup. Can’t wait to go again.

I personally don’t like to eat too sweet, so I always come to this place. And they also serve some traditional Chinese family style dishes, when I say traditional, it is real traditional! One of the best.

My cake was delicious! The fruits were fresh and sweet. The cake was light and moist with a bit of sweetness, just how I like it. Plus, it was ready for pickup sooner than the expected time. Would definitely order again! Thanks Wishing Town!

This place is incredible! We got the Szechuan hot & spicy dumplings, soup dumplings, green tea & red bean cake, and the black & gold mango cake. Everything was SO GOOD. The hot and spicy dumplings were one of the best dishes Ive had since moving to NOLA. I cant wait to come back and try everything!

Wow I cant believe this place has only 12 reviews so far. Such a hidden gem! Everything is soooo pretty and tasty! They also offer the best service ever and tons of samples to taste (if you come in near closing time you can take as many samples home as you wish). There’s happy hour 9am -2pm for buy 1 get 1 bread and $5.95 any drinks + 1 cake. Definitely can’t beat that.

Ridiculously moist and flavor cakes! Big variety of teas and milk shakes made with quality ingredients. Food is spectacular! If you are looking for a great cake then this is a must stop bakery!

I just love the pastries here, a lot better than others and unique to me. Especially love the way WTB not overly sweet.... Those little custard cream pies, delicious. Flavor is good. Definitely not too sweet, but the cake is so wet feel like eating a soaked up sponge.

I sent a picture (from their Instagram) to order a cake and spoke with someone via phone about my order. When I went to pick it up the decorations were wrong and the friut on top was starting to turn bad. The employee there was very rude and offered to take $5 off of the $50 cake and never offered or attempted to help fix the cake. It was decorated for a birthday and it was for a baby shower. On top of that, she emailed after to tell me I was rude because I put the fruit on their counter! Also, I walked into the unlocked store at 9:57 AM & when I let her know that I was there to pick up an order she interrupted me and said that I had to wait until 10 and ignored me for the next 3 minutes. This business needs lessons in customer service!
