Dr. Spring is amazing! Takes time to answer questions, gets good results with treatment plans, and is friendly. Been going to him for almost a year and he has been this way consistently.Tracy (the receptionist) is rude, and I have had a number of other negative experiences with some members of the administrative staff.Overall, Dr. Spring’s expertise and friendliness is great but the experience is colored by the staff’s interpersonal effectiveness.

Dr Hickman was very professional, nice and caring. Took his time and explained everything. Tried everything possible to avoid my having surgery. Medications etc did not work. Was supposed to have sinus surgery but my pulmonologist said no way due to my asthma being out of control. With 69% lung capacity he said I can not get anesthesia. Will go back to Dr. Hickman once my lung situation is improved. Highly recommend Dr Hickman!

ENT of Metairie was more than accommodating for a new patient with a need for an emergency appointment. Called in the morning and had an appointment by 11 am that morning. Thorough and efficient exam and diagnosis. With treatment and prescriptions, I was feeling better within that week. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Highly recommended by a close friend. My 18 year old grandson needed a nose job and also his deviated septum corrected. I was apprehensive about not having a plastic surgeon but I changed my mind after meeting Dr. Hickham.He took a great deal of time and explained everything to both of us and answered all of our questions and concerns. My grandsons nose look great.The staff is also very accommodating. They do their best to work work you in as quickly as possible. if you are having issues. So glad we found him.

Dr Spring is awesome. I had a non cancerous tumor removed on the far right side of my face by my ear. He made an incision where the scarring will not be noticeable does not hurt as much as I thought it would after surgery,very clean work. Dr Spring and his staff were excellent! if I ever need anything else done within his practice I will definitely see Dr Spring.

Dr. Hickham always takes the time to be completely thorough and professional. He genuinely listens to his patients, and goes above and beyond to give them the very best care. His staff is equally consistently helpful and friendly each and every time weve been there.

I had strep throat 6 times in 7 months so I was recommended to see doctor Hickham. He said the best thing to do was take my tonsils out, I also told him I was having trouble breathing because I had deviated septum. He said it would be best to do both of them at the same time so I did. Both surgery’s went great, I was in very little pain but I was having nose bleeds about a week later. Well doctor Hickham told me to go see him and he would fix me. Well he did, so about 3 weeks later I had another nose bleed at 1:00am I called his personal phone number and told him I was very scared and what should I do. He told me to meet him at his office at 1:00 in the morning!!! So I went and he fixed me up, this dude is amazing and is a real doctor. Definitely very caring and just all around awesome guy. I couldn’t thank him enough for all he has done.

I was diagnosed with throat cancer by Dr. Spring. I was referred to other specialists for treatment, yet Dr. Spring has remained involved every step of the way. He has made this difficult journey easier and less terrifying with his compassion, his honesty, and has listened to and addressed my concerns along the way. I am cancer free two years now and he is still a part of my recovery. He is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever seen. I wish I could speak to every potential patient of his so I could reassure them that they could not make a better decision for their health care. I am not one who gives out praise easily or often, but Dr. Spring and his staff are simply the best and deserving of any and all accolades I can give them.

If you go here make sure you ask how much the procedures are going to cost before you get them done! a simple scan and nose scope cost over 300 dollars and thats with blue cross and blue shield and i was never told it was going to be so expensive!

Wow, I am surprised to hear the above comment. The staff was absolutely lovely every time I came to the office. The treatment was excellent in every way. I lived with chronic sinus infections for years and Dr. Hickham did an in office procedure that absolutely changed my life. I have not been sick since, I can taste my food better and sleep much better. Thank you Doc!!

Dr.Hickham is a wonderful doctor. He treated me and my 4 kids and we all had different issues. He treated us with the most compassionate bedside manner. He had us all feeling better by the time we left the office. He has an amazing ability to figure out what is causing the symptoms and he appears to truly care about his patients. So its incredibly disheartening that I feel I need to give this office a one star. I received care from Dr. Hickham who genuinely concerned about helping me with my ear trouble after a recent flight. I have worked for a doctors office in the past, and I am pretty forgiving when it comes to wait times. I demonstrated by patience on each visit as I was never taken back on my scheduled time. I arrived about 20 minutes early for my first visit, as they suggested, to fill out my paperwork. I would estimate that it was probably another 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I actually had seen the doctor. The second visit, I again showed up early for the appointment and between the waiting area and the exam room, it was 45-50 minutes before I had seen the doctor. The doctor took his time and delivered great care, which I am grateful for, but it was probably about another 30-45 minute follow up appointment. My appointment ran so far over that at the end, the entire staff except one nurse had left for the day. I even locked the door behind me, concerned for their safety has they closed up. I had to call back the next day to schedule my own follow up, fine, no big deal. So I called and told the scheduler that I would need a lunch appointment or a late in the day appointment. She informed me that the whole office closes for lunch ( I want to say it was 12:30). So I think to myself, surely they will want to get me out before their scheduled lunch, this might work - so I schedule the appointment. So I arrive at 11:44 for an 11:45 am appointment (experience has taught me that I will wait - but I still dont want to be late). At 12:55 I asked the front desk attendant what it was looking like, getting me back. She went to check with the nurses and explained that there were 2 people in front of me. Yes, 2 people -- almost 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I told her that I couldnt wait long and that I had to return to work. I reminded her that I had shown up on time and that I didnt feel that I should be charged any cancellation and that I wanted to square that issue away before I left the office. She said that she would have to speak with her manager. Well, Dr. Hickham is great, like I said, and my hearing has returned but for a little and I could hear as they spoke about me --- comments such as I was acting like I had been waiting for so long, but its only been 15 minutes (by this time, mind you, it was closer to 30). They open the door and call my name like I was being called back. I reminded the nurse that I wasnt going to be able to wait and that I didnt want to go back unless they could get me out by 12:30. No one could give me even an estimate. I told her lets return to the desk and print out my records and discuss. The office manager who identified herself, well call her R asked me what was going on. I went through the whole thing with her and explained I wasnt trying to be difficult, that I knew the doctors time was valuable, but so was mine. (I kind of need the job to pay them... the $1200 I had amassed on three visits). I explained to her that I wanted to leave and that I didnt want to be subject to the cancellation fee. She kept trying to tell me that they were ready to take me back and that all the time that weve spent talking, we could have gotten you back. What I was trying to get her to understand was that it didnt matter if I was up there talking to her or sitting in an exam room, theyve told me multiple times that the doctor was not ready for me. Long story short, because there are character limitations on this post, she didnt know her own cancellation policy and wanted to argue with me.. I read her the policy (2 cancels= penalty) and she stated oh, I apologize. Was she apologizing for not knowing her own policies or being snotty, who knows? I just know that patients deserve to be treated with some respect and the staff here does not exemplify professionalism. Not to mention they wrote my ear drop prescription for the wrong ear, but thats another post.

I was in town for a week and had vertigo, which was going to put a damper on the trip. Dr. Hickham very kindly agreed to examine me. He was thorough and caring. He asked questions, gave me some exercises to do, told me to stop the over the counter medicines I was taking and gave me a steroid shot . The shot worked wonders, by the afternoon I was no longer dizzy and I continued to improve. Thanks Dr Hickham for salvaging our trip!

When Dr. Creely was there I never had a problem with billing. I have gone three times since he left & paid my $60 copay then received bill after bill. First time they billed my claim to someone else’s insurance. That took several months to fix. The second time they charged me extra for a B12 injection that I paid for the day I received it so I protested the $30 charge & within 2 minutes she changed the price to $14 but I already paid. Then...My son had a small plastic eyeball in his ear. They charged the $60 copay PLUS $150. I asked if the $60 was for sitting in the chair, & she basically said yes. Doctors are fantastic but the office/billing department is rude, overcharging patients, and generally bad at their job and cost them 2 patients today.

Dr.Spring is wonderful, very warm and great sense of humor, but most important... very thorough and took his time with me.

Dont ever go to Metairie Sinus. The doctor is an idiot who prescribes everyone the same thing. I told him what he was doing would probably make me worse and was an attempt to treat the symptom, not the problem. Now instead of just having sinus issues, Im having sinus issues and bleeding out of my sinuses. I want my money back

Ive dealt with sinus issues my entire life. I gave up on a solution because every ENT doctor I saw only prescribed a pill that never worked after a few days. No one attempted to solve my problem! After repeatedly hearing adds on the radio I figured the least I could do was make an appointment. After my first visit with Dr. Hickham he diagnosed my sinus problem and recommended an in office procedure. After an uncomfortable month or so of my sinuses healing (and getting discouraged) I began to breathe freely for the first time. Now I can finally see what Ive been missing!! I no longer snort all the time trying to clear my sinuses. Something my friends and family noticed immediately. I breathe clearly through both nasal passages with no issues. I recommend Dr. Hickham to anyone who has been dealing with similar problems.

I didnt think I could get relief in one day, but Im back at work almost immediately. Doctor was really excellent and I was able to get a same day appointment.

2:40 hour wait time for new patients. Dont waste your time. Rude counter staff that seemed overwhelmed. This clinic is not prepared to handle the patients it made appointments for. Stop advertising and focus on your patients. 10AM appt time, called back at 12:20PM, I left the clinic at 12:45 without being seen. Dr Hickman offered to see me after I told his nurse I was leaving.

Outstanding doctor and staff at ENT Specialists of Metairie! Dr. Michael Hickham performed a surgical procedure for a cochlear implant. The outpatient procedure was quick, successful with no residual pain and Doctor Hickham entertained me prior to surgery by speaking German.The entire staff is warm, friendly and always smiling. Victoria Exsterstein, the Surgery Coordinator, went above and beyond the call of duty by getting the insurance refusal reversed and scheduling, rescheduling and changing the venue for the surgical procedure.Ashley Gervais, Doctor of Audiology at Optimum Audiology works closely with ENT Specialists. She handled the Baha 5 power sound processor that connects to the abutment implant. Ms. Gervais spearheaded the insurance approval process, programmed the device, taught me how to use it and calmed my anxieties.In conclusion, it was a very worthwhile experience with a great group of caring people who gave me hearing in an ear that was deaf for 69 years.

MY VISITS WERE ON TIME, TO THE POINT, AND TOTALLY EFFECTIVE IN CURING MY MEDICAL PROBLEM .

Absolutely the worst office staff ever, and the sad part is theres no one you can report them to because DR HICKEMs wife is the one handling the money. Theyve owed me a refund because my doctor left to practice and couldnt find the money. Even after me giving MRS HICKEM all of my information and phone number to call if there were any problems, she never called. When I finally called today she had been waiting for my call because there was a problem when I questioned this because I had given her and everyone there my contact information, she said shed never written down my name, just happened to notice no Amanda on her report. Now she doesnt have access to the system to write the refund checks so I have to wait until Monday. My surgery was originally cancelled on 09/11 and yet no one cared enough to return my phone calls when asked or actually work on my case. Very frustrating to have to threaten to call my lawyer before they bother to do anything. Ill be requesting my entire medical file when I go in to pick up my check, if its not available for me in its entirety, Ill be contacting the medical board as well. The doctors are fantastic, but the office management needs a lot of work.

Dr H saved my life. I suffered at least a wk out of every month, unable to get out of bed due to migraines. After becoming Dr Has patient I can go many months at a time without suffering. Ive also found the staff kind & professional.
