Well Kevin the owner he goes above and beyond what he really needs to do to make the customer happy I was so impressed on how he held his cool with somebody that was being rather difficult I admire the man who did my transmission and I love the work. And if you need transmission work done advise you to give the man a call give him a try he will do whatever it takes to make his customers happy.

I took my GMC Yukon for my transmission and Kevin was great. They got it done quick and my Yukon works great, plus we got warranty on them. I recommend this shop to everyone.

We took two 2017 GMC 1500’s here, and had our transmissions replaced for literally half the price and time of the dealership. Owner is a rad dude, also he’s a good and fair dude. Anyone who says other, is lying. We were able to get our trucks in there and back on the road in less than 4 days!! Phone calls, and a lot of parts ordered- still didn’t stop him! I will be back!

We just had a Winnebago View transmission serviced here recently. The owner had the parts and serviced the transmission. He put in new fluid. We had an emergency trip back to Iowa (south route 40) and the motorhome preformed better on the mountains than our first trip. Called him to thank him for the better performance. I had my 99 Chevrolet 4x4 transmission rebuilt by Modesto transmission. The owner Kevin was the type of owner you want to do business with. He’s knowledgeable and I mean that because he takes the time to share with me exactly what they will do and did do with the transmission. Very friendly guy and the price was below average from other shops I called around to for the same work. I also got my truck back when he said I’d get it back which was just about a 24 hour turnaround. The truck now runs and shifts like new. I have zero complaints or issues with this shop and I highly recommend bringing your vehicle here for any transmission needs.

The owner, Kevin, was friendly, knowledgeable, and agreed to work on my 2005 Passat TDI, even though it wasnt his usual bread and butter work (more complicated, time consuming, and expensive than an American or Asian vehicle). He was honest about the costs involved, very detailed about the work being done, and did his best to save me money on what could have been a much more expensive transmission rebuild at a European shop. Even though the car and I have since parted ways (it now belongs to my niece), I would highly recommend bringing your vehicle here to have your transmission serviced.

I had my transmission rebuilt here in 2011 on my Chevy trailblazer. It now being 2019 the transmission is still going strong! Not ONE issue I highly recommend coming here. The guy told me what was wrong took the time and even showed me the parts they replaced. I have a 2013 Ford Focus with transmission issues once it is out of warranty I’ll be bringing it here to be fixed properly.Check in it’s now 2021 and that transmission still going strong on the blazer. The transmission has over 200k on it now, and still no issues.

My mom got her transmission done here and is very happy with it. She told me to go here when I thought I needed a new transmission. Luckily I didnt need a new one but they were so helpful and honest. Thanks guys!!! :)

These guys are the best. On vacation and had transmission problem. They worked me into there busy schedule and got me back on the road. Drove home 1000 miles and had no problems at all. Best place in the area.

Took my Silverado in with some clutch slippage, got it back and right off the bat you can spot the difference. They were extremely friendly and explained step by step on what they were going to do.

Modesto Transmission is an awesome shop to take your vehicle. I went to a different shop first and was told that my truck needed $1000 worth of work on it. I was devastated by the news. I decided to try my luck at Modesto Transmission to get a second quote. The owner called me with good news the next day. He said that the other shop I took it to was wrong. Also, he clearly explained how the other shop made the mistake. He said I only needed $75 worth of repairs. $1000 from one shop to $75 at another? These guys have integrity and put their customers first. Trust me it is worth it to at least bring your vehicle in and get a quote.

They do excellent work and are extremely knowledgeable. They stand by their work. They did a repair and we had a code come up and they fixed it for free at an extensive cost to them. I would never go anywhere else.

I dont remember the name of the guy who helped me, but he was really great. On the phone I described to him what my car was doing. He asked me to come in so he could take a look at it. When I got there he checked my fluid level and then used a scanner to pull the code for my check engine light. He then described the problem for me and suggested that I take it to my dealership, since they dont usually work on my type of vehicle, and the dealership would more easily be able to get the parts needed for my problem. Then he shook my hand and said to have a nice day, didnt charge me a penny for his time and help.

They had me back on the road with a rebuilt with upgraded components and the proper torque converter. Sheshifts sooo much better through the whole power curve. I took 3 tries for them to get it going. When we picked up the truck I was then informed that now there will not be any warranty. Now a little over 1 year later and about 10,000 miles it has failed again. $2400 down the drain. I will not be going back.

I attempted to contact this place to find out how much having my car serviced by them would cost but they would not take my calls because as a Deaf person, I have to use text relay services to call people and businesses like this one. They probably thought I was a telemarketer or something like that but to hang up on me even before I could say a word? And I attempted to call the 2nd time but they would not accept my call. Discrimination much? Not good for business.

This was probably single-handedly the BEST experience Ive ever had in dealing with automotive repair shops. First, on the phone I spoke with Kevin (the owner) who was extremely helpful and willing to answer any and all questions. My reverse gear wasnt working and everyone was telling me the reverse band needed replaced which would be a $1200 rebuild. I got the truck over to Modesto Transmission and it ended up just being a blown servo cover gasket which ended up costing me $191 total! And to add onto an already great customer service experience, Kevin waited until 5:30pm for me to get off of work even though his office employees leave at 5pm. My debit cards magnetic strip wasnt working so he let me leave and told me just to call in the morning with my card information. I will NEVER take my car for transmission related problems anywhere else.

Brought my truck here 9 months ago I have a 92 chevy 1500 v8 350 5.7L and my transmission went out I called a few places and all were close or similar in price to what I was getting here at modesto transmission but for some reason while talking to Kevin on the phone I felt compelled to try out his shop over the others. I sure an glad that I chose his over others when I got my truck to his shop he showed me on of the remanufactured transmissions he had and all the aluminum pieces he uses instead of the plastic ones that the rebuild kits come with I was glad, because I knew that the transmission that he was putting in on my truck was built to last and be more reliable. I did have a slight problem with my transmission I guess my model had a plug on the back and he forgot all about it because it was leaking transmission oil everywhere and when I had my girlfriend take it in to him because I was unable to make it to his shop during his business hours he gladly helped me and explained the situation to her and he said it will be done in 30 minutes and he fixed it in that time frame and sent her on her way and didnt charge me anything even refilled my transmission fluid back to normal and made sure there were no other problems with it. 9 months later my truck is still running like a champ and has so much power Im loving it!Thanks so much for my transmission and for taking care of your customers first. Very rare to find shops like this anymore truly honest work. Thanks Kevin you and your crew are amazing!

I had got a new 4l65e transmission in my single cab & i berly reach 2000 miles on it & it runs great specialy with upgrades that was done to it. i recommend this place especially for performance

On Thanksgiving afternoon in Bakersfield my tranny went out while traveling to Modesto. I called every shop and Kevin was the only guy who returned my call. Kevin and Pam met me in the shop that Saturday on off hours to help me with my 2007 Chevy Silverado. Needing to get back to Arizona on Monday Kevin and crew had my truck back to me by 3:20pm same day! My truck has 114k miles and has never ran better since getting one of Modesto Transmission rebuilt units. I will always return for service and now Pam and Kevin are part of my Family! I have been so busy that I wanted so badly to leave a review as soon as I left this place. But a family emergency kept me from doing that. But now I am here doing just that! As a single mother every penny counts. I dont know how many times haveI been taken advantage of when it comes to my car/cars. I have been frustratedmany many times. I just so happened to find this place. As soon as I walked inI was greeted by Pam. Shes a Godsend! We swapped car stories lol. It was agreat experience. I happened to walk in during their lunch time. They were sokind to come out and check on my car. Although I dont advice to go and interruptanyones lunch. It was nice to know someone cared. What I do suggest is making anappointment to go see them. For the life of me I cant remember the kind gentleman who came to assist me. He was very helpful and gave me a few pointers on what should I dowith my car. I genuinely feel like they are good honest people! And nowadays thatshard to come by. Especially as a female who needs her car fixed with not to muchcar knowledge.
