Employees are very considerate and polite. They always do a great job when helping me select frames and glasses. Not upset about wait time (2 weeks) for lenses as were still in this pandemic and things are hard to get. Will happily do business with them again.
Lens were delayed almost 2 weeks wasnt even notified. Lens are great. Customer service is horrible. They put the lens in and handed me my glasses and walked away never helped fit them to be sure they were aligned right with my eyes or anything!! I will not be doing business with LensCrafters anymore after this!!
Charles Badman Jr. Gets 2 thumbs down! LensCrafters You all need to look into another Doctor for this location. Hes a liability and will have you all tied up in a lawsuit for many MANY different reasons. I advise you all review these reviews and consider another candidate. Who knows may a have a suit coming soon.... Charles Ill be very careful with the things I do and say and who I say them to if I were you!
Lenscrafters store was the complete package. The staff was professional,friendly, and very helpful in helping me choose the right frames. They have a wide variety of colors and brands of glasses,shades, and contracts to select from. The prices are reasonable, with deals/promos offered and are displayed throughout the store front. I highly recommend Lenscrafters for all your optical needs.

We have been going to LensCrafters for 5 years now (mostly due to them being a reasonable distance and taking our optical insurance. Previous years we have not had any issues. This year however the bill was much higher than normal. We went through our insurance information and compared to the receipt and we had several questions. We scheduled and appointment and sat down with the manager. Well the manager was overwhelmed with the insurance information and our questions. So in comes Brandon. Brandon was by far the rudest, most unprofessional customer service person I have ever had experience with. When we asked questions, Brandon literally cut us off and said he was going to punch out! Anyways, after all of that, we found out they charge you 100.00 for a coating that is not documented on any receipt, bill, etc. Supposedly the ordering system will not let them order the lens without this coating (by the way these are polycarbonate scratch resistance lens). All of these problems could have been avoided if the receipt detailed all of the charges. I think we will be driving to Birmingham next year even though it is over an hour away.
Just nowNEWThe doctor Very was very rude and not very patient friendly. Dilated my eyes and expected me to read the smallest line and the only line of letters. No eye chart to see how small a letter you could read. My eyes are still off key and its been almost 2 weeks post dilated. Lencrafters staff was very attentive and compassionate to the ordeal from the doctor.
I was helped by a very sweet and polite young man! Not only was he extremely helpful but very accommodating and congenial. That is not often the case these days.
The doctor office was fast and proficient, very professional! Picking out my glasses was the best part wonderful staff the assistant manager was helpful, informative, and empathic! Great selection of glasses with great discounts.

The Dr. Charles Goodman Jr saw my mother yesterday for an initial consult diagnostic appt and was very rude, terrible bedside manner, and insulting! Nonchalant and didnt want to answer questions that she had. He should not be allowed to practice at this company. The testing was only one line, the smallest of them all. There were no other doctors there to even ask for another doctor. Would not recommend if he is there!
One of the ladies that work the front was very rude she was a elderly lady the date is 07/3/2021 at 11:57 am I was standing in line to pick up my glass she told me to sit down and didnt even ask what I was there for then when she got finished with a customer she told the ppl fight it out for who ever was next mind you I just spent 1500 dollars between me and my girlfriend buying glasses I will never go back to lenscrafters again by the way Im black the lady is white store us in Montgomery, al in the east dale mall
Complaint...Eastdale Mall Store, Montgomery, AL.Ive been a customer at this location for several years and I have never, ever experienced this kind of customer service since Ive been doing business with Lenscrafters. Customer Service is terrible!! The employees are very short and they act like you are a burden on them when you walk in. The manager during the day, slim, tall arrogant young dude with the unprofessional weird socks wont even look at you when he speaks to you. The doctor is either not in or always booked because the hours have been cut. I usually buy the designer frames and have referred alot of customers to the Montgomery location as they are always complimentary of my frames. What in the world has happened to that place?? Lenscrafters has made tons of money off me but, not anymore. Im going to another designer location in Prattville, AL who has a 5-star rating. Not pleased at all. We go in on Sunday to order glasses for my husband. The associate, Brandon, was very helpful. So we get frames and we were told that the anti-glare lenses had to be ordered but the regular lenses were downstairs. We told him just to do regular since the other had to be ordered. He said it would be Monday before we could get them because the lab tech was not in. I understood that and was ok. We get a call Monday and was told there was a problem with the lenses and they had to order them and should be here within a day or so. It is now Friday, no lenses. We are being told any day now.They do not use overnight shipping? They were shipped on the 14th. About ready to call insurance company and see what I can do.
I went in last week after a girfriend of mine had mentioned LensCrafters when I asked her where she gets her glasses. An associate greeted me immediately and asked how she could help me. When I let her know I would be paying out of pocket, she showed me some glasses that were marked 50% off. I found a pair of Prada glasses and decided on the transition lenses after she told me a little more about them and the new colors they had. 👍🏻

Im only giving 1 star because of the staff. This is not a one-hour optical facility. I chose 3 separate pairs of glasses and the lens were not in stock. I was told I had to wait a week--not so (longer). So much for convenience. The staff was nice enough; but nice isnt what I purchased.

I made an eye appointment as a new patient as my eye doctor didnt accept my eye insurance but Lens Crafters sure did!!! They have the most helpful and knowledgeable staff! Everyone was super sweet and kind, I would most definitely refer any and everyone to them. The hours are very convenient for those who get off after 5pm and also on Sundays! I loved my visit and will definitely be back for my next eye exam!!! THESE GUYS ROCK!!!
Walked in and was greeted immediately, but when I was explaining why I was there and what I needed the lady waved her hand for me to hurry up talking. Incredibly rude. An ok selection for glasses but they won’t be getting my service.
I flew in from out of town to visit my parents over the holidays and ended up staying longer than expected due to being hospitalized. Because of my unexpected extended stay, I ran out of contacts and wasn’t able to order them and have them shipped in enough time before my flight leaves, as they take 5-10 days to ship. I thought I could call LensCrafters and at least get a 5 day trial pair to hold me over until I flew back home. I contacted the Montgomery location and explained to them that I was a LensCrafters patient in another state visiting from out of town and that I had my prescription and asked if they could possibly accommodate me. The young lady that answers the phone from Dr.Goodmans office, Jacklyn I think was her name, was very rude. She responded with “We don’t do that. We have to order trials”. She didn’t event halfway attempt to help and offer another solution or even suggest I come in or anything. Aside from the horrible customer service, she lied about not having trials available. That’s the first thing any optometrist provides after a contact Lenese exam, so I know she lied! I’m very disappointed at the quality of service I received over the phone and definitely wouldn’t recommend this location!
If I can give them a negative 0 I definitely will. I have been given the run around with receiving my glasses the time wait to be seen was extremely too long then to be placed in the exam room to wait even longer was pathetic. At least put tvs in the exam rooms offer some type of refreshments.
I went in for a contact and glasses exam. The doctor was rude. He wanted to know the name of my contacts I was wearing when I went in. I told him and he just dismissed it like he didn’t like that brand. Which I’ve had no trouble with. He did my exam and wrote my prescription for contacts and glasses. Gave me a trial pair of contacts several times and that’s been about two months ago and they still haven’t got it right and I’m still without a prescription for contacts. My glasses prescription was totally wrong. They took 190.00 of my money and I used the prescription he gave me for the glasses and bought the glasses for 600.00 and it was wrong. Never again will I go to LensCrafters. I’m extremely disappointed.

I would remove the one star rating to zero if it were possible. While the office is nice, the staff leaves a lot to be desired. My appointment time was not honored and when I asked for a timeframe for continued waiting due to other appointments, I was spoken to and chastised like a child. Like another customer mentioned in their review of this business, it appears that the doctor is double or triple booked with each appointment time.I understand that things happen and appointments run over but I wish they’d have informed me that my wait time would not reflect my appointment time; I would’ve booked an appointment elsewhere. As it stands, I waited almost 2 hours and left without being seen because there were two other personnel ahead of me in the queue.
I purchased some sunglasses from the Eastdale Lenscrafters. I didnt like them, and returned them the following Saturday. It has been 10 days and the refund has not posted to my bank account. The bank doesnt even show a pending transaction out there. I have called the store directly three times, and the corporate office once. All I get is a run-around telling me to give it more time. We are talking 10 days already. I have never had a refund take this long to post back to my account. We have been customers of Lenscrafters forever; but, this experience has changed the place we do business. We will find somewhere else to get our glasses from now on. If you purchase glasses from this company, make sure you like them BEFORE you swipe your card. Its a pain to try to get a refund.
I have been a patient of Dr.Goodman since the mid 1990s.He is a great eye doctor.Everybody at Lenscraters here ate top notch and very nice,helpful people especially Lisa.
It was a quick in and out ( for a walk in no less) but the prescription was wrong in one of the lenses. I would have went back for a reexamination but i wasnt impressed with the doctor. I told him when he stopped with the slides that it was still very blurry, all he did was shrug, Im not a doctor but i have been wearing glasses since I was 8 and i knew something wasnt right but I went with it. After I picked up these high dollar over priced lenses I notice right out the case there was a large scratch on one of these scratch proof lenses. I live a hour away so I didnt take them back right away, i figured Id give it a few days to at least see if the prescription was right, and no it wasnt. So i took them back (went to a different lensecrafers and got wonderful service, true hassel free return with the money back in my account before I left the store) but Im still without glasses
Walked in with jeans and a Serra Toyota Tee shirt on Totally ignored, by the black girl. A mess she asked everyone coming in behind me if she could help them.. Didnt feel like dressing up because I have to dress professional every day.. I really wanted to purchase a Coach frame but I didnt like the way I was perceived....Dont judge the book by its cover.
You wait extremely to long in the examination room. It had been over 30 mins and i stepped outside to see if they forgot about me. I think they overbook the one doctor they have in there. Then when you go ask they reply “oh he will be there any second”. Well 10 mons later no doctor. So close to 2 hours just to get an eye exam which DID NOT include getting fitted for eye glasses. If i could take that one star away i WOULD!!!!!!
I can see why this store location will soon be gone. We went there on May 26th after having another poor experience at an Americas Best (NOT), followed by another one at Lens Crafters after that! It was on a Saturday, about 1:30 in the afternoon. My prescription bi-focals had broken in half and my older backups were not very good so the only other option were readers and it really wasnt working out. Anyway, we drove over an hour to get there and were told that the doctor wouldnt be back from lunch for another hour (2:30). We were also told that my lenses would NOT fit in any other frames! I would have to wait to see the doctor, pay $104 for that exam, THEN they would know IF they even had my lenses in stock, if not, then Id pick out a new set of frames, and theyd have to order the lenses. That would mean Id have to wait and come back in another two weeks. This was all too unreasonable for me. We ended up walking out, going to Eyemart Express, just a couple miles away, walked into a very busy store, were greeted by very friendly SMILING employees, and a gentleman came out and started helping us before I could even sign in! He found a set of acceptable frames for my lenses inside of two whole minutes and had my prescription bi-focals in them inside another 10 whole minutes! We were wowed to say the least by Eyemart Express! Its no wonder there were so many people in Eyemart Express and NOT ANYONE in the Lens Crafters. We will NEVER go back to Lens Crafters in Montgomery!

I am extremely displeased with the service that the store offers. I have been openly ignored, and they talked to me as if I am a 5 year old simply because I do not look old. I do not believe that there is anything wrong with asking certain questions, since I am the customer and I look forward to buying with cheapest price, but they looked at me as if I am the dumbest person on earth and started talking in rude attitude and tone. I would never come here ever again.

I was told that they could order the frames I want, but they couldnt take payment over the phone. So Id have to drive across town to present a card in person, just to place an order. In an era of Internet commerce, thats just absurd. If you cant take payment over the phone, your business model is in the stone age.
