From the time I walked in the door for my appointment to the time I walked out, I was treated as if I was someone special. There was no wait time. The lady at the front desk signed me in, provided a mask and even helped me pick out my glasses. I was immediately taken to the back to get test done, retina imaging, etc. I was taken back up front to wait on the Dr which didnt take long. Once in the exam room, the Dr did the eye exam and then went over the retina scan results. I was amazed at the technology and what the test can reveal but was happy to know all was good with my test. Once done, I was taken to front and made my payment. Overall, everything went great. The staff as always, were professional and very pleasant. As soon as I got home, I made my husband an appointment.
Pre-covid the employees were attentive and caring. Fast forward to post covid. There seems to be all new employees. The doctor is still wonderful but the staff are dishonest and deceiving. I was fitted for glasses and they tried to charge me an extra $400 over the same thing that I got last year. (No change in insurance).At this point I wonder if the person that helps pick out your frames and lenses for you is making commission. She convinced me to go to a lower quality lens, encourage me that it would be the same quality. Got the glasses back in very good time but the lenses were horrible. She had told me that she kept the numbers the same as the last pair, but found out she did not. They said they would remake them and she told me she would send them in that day. A week later they still had not been sent in. So it took me over 3 weeks to get the glasses back. The wait isnt so bad, it was the fact that she was not honest with me.The second pair of glasses were as bad as the first. Still a lens quality issue. Called the store back to ask them what we could do and instead of speaking with me they told me I would have to call the district manager. Keep in mind every time I spoke to anybody there they were very short with me and not professional at all.She gave me the district managers name and phone number, and when I called him he was quite surprised that they had done this. However, he was amazing. He was very professional, very courteous, very caring. He encouraged me to go back into the store to see the manager and they replaced everything at no cost. While the district manager is obviously a hero in my eyes, I would never recommend this store to anybody. Their staff is discourteous, and uncaring.I will never recommend this business, nor will I return.The two stars is because I think the doctor is very good. He was very thorough and attentive. He narrowed my vision down and even placed lenses in glasses to check my near vision.If I do return, (doubt it) it will only be to see him and I will go elsewhere for my lenses and frames.
I love going to Myeyedr they are friendly, great music, great vibes, and they make you feel like family. Dont just take my words, go check them out. You will love them to. Thanks guys

Even though I was compensated very well,There was way too many issues. It took me 3 months to get my glass done right.I had to stop communicating with the store because when I called to check on my glasses I was told we will call you when your glasses are in and given an explanation I did not understand, so I called their corporate office to help me and they took the time to explain the situation to me.The day I picked up my glasses it was 90+ degrees out side but a chilly -0 in that store.(If you understand my meaning.) I will be looking else where for my next pair of glasses.
My experience at Myeyedr is always a great one. The staff is very friendly and respectful. They are talking all precautions with the pandemic going on. My daughter and I felt very safe during the visit. My daughter said her visit with the doctor was very good and he made her feel comfortable even though I couldn’t be back there with her. I will be making an appointment very soon for myself soon. Thanks to the staff.
I would not recommend this place …. If you order glasses from this place expect to wait at least 1+ months for your glasses to arrive at the store…… I will be taking my business elsewhere
The customer service at this business is beyond deplorable. I arrived 15 minutes for an 11:40 am appointment, due to lunch crowd at the chick-fil-a that’s located directly across from the location. I let the staff know my reason for being late, their response was “it’s our lunch time and they needed to check to see if the doctor was still there.” After checking, I was told I could come back around 2pm, but I would not be guaranteed an appointment but that they would “try to work me in between patients.” This makes me question as to weather the doctor was ever there or if he even cares about his patient’s, if he able to leave after just 15 mins. The response from “My eye dr.” staff was dissatisfying and devaluing as customer, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Best of luck on their future endeavors.
I really enjoyed my recent visit atMyEye👁Dr. When I walked in I was greeted by friendly staff. The flow/process of my appointment was organized, steady and appropriately time managed. I would like to thank Mrs.Val, Mrs. Akira and Mr. Andre for helping me and making me feel welcomed. Dr. Sisneros took his time and explained everything in detail. His knowledge allowed me to make the right decision concerning my vision. All in all, I was pleased with the service I received from start to finish. Thank you all.
The staff here are so nice made me feel comfortable and were very helpful and sweet. The doctor was very patient and very friendly and listen to what I had to say thank you so much Tiffany, Ann,Val and Dr Rolisha . I will be coming back !
Horrible experience with this company. I wasn’t advised before hand how much my appointment visit would cost. Got to the counter only to be told I owe 70.00 after I was fitted for my trail contacts and already had them in. I asked could they bill me the amount, was informed no and had to remove the contacts and give them back. What I was up set about is the medical assistant had me take mines out and thank god I didn’t throw them away because I would’ve been left with nothing. I will never do business with this company again.
Had a great experience at my recent eye exam. Doctor and office staff were all super nice. So helpful in helping me pick out the perfect pair of frames...even when I called later to make a change to my order. I am so excited to get my new glasses.

The reviews here at first made me very uneasy about my first appointment with Schaeffer. Yet I must say that I was pleased with the service I recieved today. All was very nice and joking around helped the uneasiness I felt prior to my visit. I would rate it a 5 star, but Im waiting on my glasses so I rather not go overboard. Overall I am satisfied.
I had to go back 3 times to get my glasses right. Not only did they not fit, the prescription was wrong. I was told I would get a $100 mail in rebate, all the rebate did was apply rewards on my account for future purchases. The women in the front are unprofessional. Very pushy with sales on the glasses. The older lady even refused to sell me the pair I wanted because she didnt like the way they looked on me. One of the technicians was on her cell phone talking loud&negatively about Dr Schaefer and accusing him of being racist, all while there was a room full of patients. Dr Schaeffer, was kind, thorough, and professional but his staff makes his office look bad.
Had to wait almost 45 minutes for my appointment. The selection of AFFORDABLE frames was nonexistent. I picked out a pair of frames and was told that those frames on that rack were not available to me for some reason. After all of this I just had my eye exam done and took my prescription elsewhere. If it werent that I had to go here for my insurance I would have walked out completely. Not recommended at all.
Recently had to replace my glasses and my jobs insurers work with Schaffer. The ladies that helped me as well as the doctor helped me to stay within my budget, treated me with respect, and has had great product. My glasses are name brand and most importantly I can see!! Will refer anyone to this company.
To bad there isnt a lower than 1 star rating on here. Scheduled my appointment two months ahead of time, and when I show up, they dont have me on schedule. Then the women in here dont even attempted to work me in, as I drove from Clanton for this appointment and they knew this, I will never come here ever! At least the old guy behind the counter was nice about it.
The Doctor was great and the young ladies that administered the tests. I would go back because of the medical staff. The front office is JACKED UP. They have messed up every single thing every single time I have went in. They initially filed a claim for glasses and contacts and I hadnt event picked them out. I only found out because I was checking my insurance information online and it showed that my benefits had been used. I had to get that taken care and make a few phone calls. Not sure why the people would even file a claim like that.I like to order my contacts online through my insurance company (1. because it is cheaper and 2. they were cheaper than what Schaeffer was charging). I told the lady that I wanted my prescription and she asked why. It doesnt matter why, I wanted the prescription, but I go on to tell her that I wanted to order them online and she starts talking about you cant order them online and that no insurance company would allow you to that. Fortunately my insurance does allow it and have a link on their website to do so. Either way the contact purchase aside, I like to have my prescription in the event something happens and I cant get to my doctor.My husband and I go back to get fitted for glasses and after waiting for an hour and half, the lady finally came to assist us. I went in for a follow up and the Doctor was very thorough. While in my follow up, I expected Hubby to be fitted, but that wasnt the case. So we went to pay for the deductible and the credit card machine wasnt working. So we said to bill us.So I go back to make a payment. and actually made the payment and got another bill in the mail. I have called several times trying to get clarification on why i received a bill after I paid. only one person in the office can give you information and that is Regina. So I call and ask for Regina and she is out to lunch anytime from about 12:30 - 2pm. So I called around 3pm and she is on break, after I was told to call her back at 2:30pm (I called at 1:23 and was told she was at lunch and would be back in an hour). I asked when was the best time to call Regina and I couldnt get an answer. So now, I have to get in my vehicle and drive across town to get my stuff taken care of because Regina is somehow never available.I have yet to go into this place and come out with everything done properly. Once again, the Doctor may be worth dealing with the hassle, but I am not sure if I will be returning. I am looking into new Vision care as I speak.
Horrible experience!! My son, who was 6years old @ the time needed glasses. We went to Schaeffer he got fitted and etc it took forever for his glasses to come. His exam was in November it was February when he got his glasses and the kicker part was when the glasses finally came in they were not what we ordered and they were to small. I called and complained the only suggestions was to do a whole new exam and of of course order another pair of glasses. I ended up finding my son a new eye doctor and couldn’t be any happier.
The doctor & staff are absolutely wonderful!! Our experience was great. We are now family.
I recently took my dad to this place for some new glasses and doctor ford was great.I just did not like all of the stares that was coming from one of the women who work at the front desk. She acted as if she owns the place and people owe her some type of explaination or something when technically she gets paid to do a job and needs to concerntrate herself on that and not on whose in the store, what type of clothes they are wearing, how they have their hair and why etc.Also the glasses that was purchased one of the lens fell out and my dad ended up having to go back to the store to have the lens put back in and tightened.
The staff are nice, but this is my 4th appointment with them and I have waited at least 30 min past my appointment time each time. I will not be returning due to this. I would greatly appreciate a call to say come in 30 minutes later since we are running behind.
Worse experience Ive ever had getting glasses... Have been trying for 3 month to get the correct lens and still I cant use the glasses Ive paid for... NOTHING has gone right ... They were to have mailed me a prescription for dry eye drops and I have as of yet to receive the prescription in the mail.. I called them and they said to give it 2 more days.. That was after I had already waited for 2 weeks ... I think 3 months of dealing with is is enough.. Ive been wearing glasses for over 40 years and this is by far the worst dealings Ive ever had with any eye center.My husband isnt happy with his glasses either but refuses to deal with them any further.. Im of the opinion Ive paid for a product that isnt correct and it is up to them to make it correct. What has happened to the customer is always correct?

Office worker REGINA is very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL, I will NEVER visit this eye center again, will NEVER recommend this place to visit for any type of vision care.....Regina has horrible customer service skills, the doctor may want to look into a better person to handle the customers
Multiple misfiled insurance claims, prescription glasses mis-made twice...took the 3rd try to get it right. Just go somewhere else that honors your insurance.
