The workers here are nice. They have a good selection of ball state gear. I wish they had more alumni options, but TIS does. This is where you pick up your cap and gown and books, too. Right in the middle of the atrium!

Stuff was very expensive but you kind of expect that but a college bookstore. People were polite and they had a lot to choose from.

Books (as well as everything else) are overpriced. If you rent from them they wont send return reminders so youll be charged.

This is the only official bookstore at the university, so the tour guides and marketing will all tell you to go here, however, I would only visit as a last resort. Nearly all of their products (books or otherwise) are overpriced, and their rental and return policies are confusing and sometimes blatantly ignored. However, they are sometimes the only place to get a certain book quickly or to find officially licensed Ball State merch. Still, I would check online or at the nearby T.I.S. bookstore before coming here.

Each time Ive been, you wait way too long for lines, I dont know why, maybe understaffed. Prices arent super-marked up, but still more than a dollar store. Good for convenience

Extremely expensive and horrible customer service. Called to return a textbook that was no longer needed, was told that the manager wasnt there so theyd call me back. Never called back after over a week. I went into the store and spoke with the manager, said hed contact the distributor and get back to me. Over two weeks and havent heard anything. Severely disappointed. Waste of time and money, better to take your business elsewhere.

Love this place

The bookstore looks pretty but really doesnt have a pleasant feel to it and there were a lot of items not stocked or kept up with after visiting multiple times in the same minth period, namely eye drops and other medical products on the wall next to the cash register. Also, the mannequin outfits seemed sexist to me (a black dress with a literal tie as a belt whereas the man had multiple layers seeing as its winter).

For textbooks, just rent from Amazon or go to TIS in the Village. The lines here are impossible and the prices are higher than anywhere else Ive seen.

Was here for college Admissions day. Had everything you could want to represent the school. The only downfall was everything was extremely expensive even with the so called discount sales. My daughter got a shirt for her dog and it cost $33.00 for an extra small that was too big for him to even wear. Now have to tailor it to fit him so the money doesnt go to waste.

Not only is the experience in the store itself slow, but they do not know how to hold up rental agreements as well. Twice now I have been charged for a non-saleable book when I returned it and never received the book back, which is what should happen as stated in the agreement. The first time I was refunded after about eight phone calls over two weeks. The second time when I called I was on the phone for half an hour and they had the book in the store still! Last time I ever rent from this bookstore. Take your business to TIS bookstore on University ave.

The ball state book store is a well rounded easy access store for ball state apparel needs, personal needs, and all around buys not to mention being in the food court this is an all around great spot with all you need at your hands

Great vibes near the barnes and nobles section, nice to relax at, but their college stuff and regular supplies are very pricey, some feel even like a rip off, for example their 24 prisma color pencil set is FIFTY DOLLARS when its only 15 bucks outside them. They also have some issues stocking at times. Overall, decent place if you attend the college and need seating space after your jamba juice order.

This bookstore is a joke! The students that work there have no clue what they are doing. On top of that, one of the young ladies had the nerve to go ahead with my order after I specifically told her not to and she agreed not to do so. On top of that, the halfa shipped a new book when I specified old and left a voice message stating the new price. I will never purchase my book from this ridiculous, unkownledgeable store.

Pretty cool store havent been there in 30 years. Was in the student center back in the day.

If only I could give it 0 stars. Lazy and rude staff and high prices. Plan on being in line for an hour they are really that slow.

Its a little pricey, but I love the collegiate gear they sell here. Theres also a good variety of books to choose from.

This is a Barnes and Noble, so it is pretty much what youd expect.

Hope youre a millionaire or else if you are getting textbooks, be prepared to drop some huge bank. Regular books are decently priced but everything else is overcharged

The staff is super busy at beginning and end of semester, but they are helpful and friendly. The items are very expensive though.

Go to TIS! This bookstore is overpriced and takes forever. TIS is cheaper and will have your books ready faster in time for class.

Very lengthy wait due to text books not being specified. Even after all that waiting it still wasnt the correct books! Watched employees ignore students who needed help even though the store wasnt very busy. Also was told employees just pick up the phone and hang up on customers who call. Just not impressed!

Overpriced, but all college bookstores are that Ive been to.

Friendly staff and seemed well stocked with books and soft goods.

Lil on the expensive side so if you can get somewhere else probably recommended but there books are always in great condition and worth the buy in the end.

Little prince but great quality

Everything in here is too expensive. The staff are slow as well, so expect to stand in line for a long time.

Every day they have fewer shelves for books and more shelves for clothes.

Bathroom is reminiscent of that painting of the stairs while it is one of the few mens rooms I know with more than 3 toilets it still feels empty.
