I called asking for a fishing vest, it was worth a shot after I called all around Muncie. The lady was extremely rude on the phone saying “no ma’am…we’re a tool store” before I even had the chance to hang up, she says to someone around “well that’s a new one.” Extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I’ll make sure to never bring my business here.

I bought a small chainsaw at Harbor Freight Tools and a 100 foot indoor/outdoor extension cord for about $100.00. The staff was courteous, but I had to seek them out to get help. Still, I was satisfied with my purchases there.

I love Harbor Freight. It isnt a big store, but somehow they have just what I needed everytime. Even better, they know right where it is somehow. Great prices too. They arent claiming to be a top of the line tool store, but they stand behind their products and I have had no issues with quality. If you havent been, you should. I bet they have that thing you need.

Always love going here, but in all honesty the free item is what kept me a reoccurring monthly customer. First time back in a year. Prolly will be another year before I go back. Bring back the free item coupons! That really did make a difference.

Went in to buy a $400 tool box, was 6:55 PM at check out. Was told technically the store was closed and I would have to schedule a pick up.I live an hour away, and that was not an option. Gladly took my tool alowance else where. And I get more tool allowance in January.If the tarrifs end with China, I will not buy Chinese merchanise anymore anyway.

A regular Harbor Freight with the same one off tools as any other one, but the staff here is very pleasant and down right friendly. I am from out of state and had an issue with my credit card, and the staff was very patient with me and rooted for me when I had to get surly with Citibank (cancelled the card when I got home). Even the other customers were patient and nice about it. Got everything I was looking for at a great price. Love these guys. Plenty of parking.

Unless youre ok with bottom of the barrel quality, youd be better off going elsewhere. Theyre rebranding everything so that nothing useful is included on their coupons, just the $2 junk that they give away for free. Only redeeming quality is their adjustable bar clamps that are pretty good for the money.

Personnel at the Muncie Store has good knowledge of their products. Only bad experience was hearing one of the employees talk badly about a new employee. Not very professional when being overheard by someone who is in supervision themselves. Other than that, its a great store.

I love this place. Lots of cool stuff at pretty good prices. I still have the moving dollies that I bought there almost 10 years ago. The small ones are great for putting computer towers on. The people are always friendly and helpful.

Not a bad place to buy tools. The only problem is that ALL of the tools ARE made in the Peoples Republic of China. Therefore, buyer beware. You get what you pay for. For the average homeowner who does not use their tools on a daily basis like a professional contractor, it will save you some money. However, if you are a professional contractor, I would probably buy better quality tools.

Ill be real honest, I like this place a lot. If it was bigger it would be 5 star. The hand tool guaranty is wonderful, like craftsmans used to be. A lot of people put harbor freight tools down as cheap junk, but I work industrial maintenance and would put them up against tools that are three times the price.

Associates werent helpful or customer service oriented. Stood in line trying to fix a wrench case that they came in and neither associate at the counter tried to help until I asked for help and she said she didnt ever try to fix them when they mess up and to just carry it like a baby. She recommended I do a presale on one of the tool carts they were sold out of and wait a month till it came in. Make the drive to the Anderson store instead!

You can find a lot of inexpensive tools and supplies here but dont expect to be waited on or for the employees to know a screwdriver from a sledge hammer. Most of them dont now the first thing about tools and dont care. Dont call to ask if something is in stock, they usually tell you yes then it wont be more often than not, again they dont know one tool from another.They have coupons in the flyer every week or so, one for 20% off one item and another for a certain item free. Get there fast if you want the free item, they dont last long but even if you get it it usually is a cheap flashlight or circuit tester that wont work for long if at all.That said I have bought some good items here for great prices. A cement mixer for my stepping stone classes. Had to take the first one back but the second one lasted for 4 years even with abuse from my adult students. A small air compressor and air brush kit for my art studio. It is going on 5 years of use and still going strong even with student use.I wouldnt buy their wheeled nippers. Ive purchased over a dozen of them in the past few years and had to rig almost all of them to get them to work correctly and nip glass. They are considerably cheaper than at a glass supplier but to get replacement wheels you have to order from their warehouse which is a pain.

Todays trip, was to buy some ratcheting load-straps and a portable car canopy. Simple enough. No real problems. Except for the idea that I have to give my identity, to make a purchase. I dont like, having to identify myself. I do not see why, it is required. Obviously, I am not trying to hide from anyone, as I freely offer this critique, with my name affixed to it. From now on, I will have no phone number or address, for the cashier. Any cashier. Any store.

Hit and miss, depending on what you buy. Some products are okay. Some are definitely not worth the material its made from. Im very selective as to what I purchase. A lot of cheap Chinese made products that arent reliable.

Love their Hand Tool Lifetime Warranty. Ive mostly had good luck with the quality of their tools, but the one time I had an issue with an axe and they let me swap it out without any questions or hassle.

Went in the make a simple purchase with my expense card like many times before. Cashier and Manager were quite content to let me walk out the door rather than figure out how to process a card that does not have an assigned PIN. The manager could have saved her attitude and eye rolls. I will be complaining on up the ladder until I am greeted with less attitude.
