** DO NOT go here for important fixes. My fiancée took our car here to replace the brakes three months ago…and they already failed. As it turns out, while they charged us for new brakes, in reality they did not replace them. They just tightened the calipers to give the illusion of new brakes. This wore down our (old!) brakes and caused other expensive problems to the transmission.** They may be good at fixing some issues, but they are 100% scammers. Stay away if you are (1) a woman or (2) do not know the precise specs of everything in your car. They prey on customers’ lack of knowledge.

Super friendly and helpful staff, I came in and asked about what I can do to mod my exhaust to make it louder and I worked it out with the employees there really quick! They gave me the sound I wanted, the service was great, very quick, and at a fair price, so I will definitely be coming back!

Would not recommend they say that they would call us to let us know what the price is of a part and they don’t end up calling us this has happened to us plenty of times on purpose (the man said he would call us never did this has happened to many times). Would not recommend we took in a Mazda they said they would fix it In 2 weeks it has been a month. Every time we would pass by to see if they are working on the car it would be parked in the same place for a week. Very unprofessional

Soto auto repair is a great place to take your vehicle. I took my car here to get an oil change and brake change. They did a great job! All on a reasonable price. This is the fourth time I come here and they have never let me down. I recommend this place if youre looking for reasonable prices.

Great mechanic shop in Mundelein, service outstanding and fast. I had 4 tires mounted and balance there,no appointment was needed and it took about 1 hour for the job. The owner was pleasant and he double checked his work,he torqued each lug nut individually with torque wrench. My rims were cleaned on the inside with a brush and proper sealer applied before tire was mounted. Price was also right, 80$ all 4 tires 19 inch mounted and balanced while other places charged over 100 to 150$.Thanks Soto Auto Repair.

Getting a quote on why my cars making noise. Said that 2 rear brakes were completely gone. They wanted to charge me $270! For Only 2 beake pads. Complete Ripoff. Plus lady was very rude. DO NOT take you car here.

I have taken both of my cars to Sotos on seperate occasions to fix a flat. I was promptly attended and they had it fixed within 1 hour. They are polite, friendly and professional. Throughout the years I have used many auto service repair shops and have been overcharged and been given inaccurate estimates (in the shops favor). This is the first time I have had business transactions with an auto repair shop where the inidividuals were honest and respectful. I highly recommend them and I will definitely go to them for any other services I may need in the future.

Took my truck for a tune up, a 3-4 hour job and It took them 3-4 weeks for them to get my tune up done and left a oil leak. Dont recommend!

They leave ur car unlocked overnight so everyone can steal ur stuff. Customer service is non existent. Worst experience ever. Will never go back.
