We have been in contact with Scott since April 2021 to get a warranty request on our flooring done. He responds 50% of the time and has yet to commit to a time to get it done. We needed two things fixed, he had someone come by and fix one thing after 4 months of asking and now we are waiting on the second half of our request. He said yesterday if we want to schedule it we would have to pay for the repair but if we want it to be covered as a warranty claim he will just let us know when someone is in the area. So here we are month 5 of waiting. Very poor business skills. We are forced to give a one star review or else it would be zero stars..

Scott/Kalia came highly recommended from our really good friend who is in real estate. Kalia flooring (Scott) was amazing, super helpful and honest when we first talked. Meeting him and picking out flooring options was easy and nice. The initial bid came in and we were very excited about the prices. THEN things started going bad, we knew there was going to be extra work involved in our remodel (second sub floor, all new baseboards etc) and we requested a new quote including all that work. No answer for 2 weeks. Texted and emailed and finally got an answer oh, Im sorry, youll get that first thing in the morning and Ill call you nothing for another week. Another text out to Scott and another answer ill get that to you for sure, another 2 weeks goes by with nothing. Finally I told him It doesnt seem like you want this job, if you cant do it or do want to do it just tell us so we stop wasting our time he then text back immediately, promising to get us a quote.... that was the last I heard from him and no quote ever came. He basically got our hopes up, then strung us along for 2 months and ghosted us.Everything started out so perfect and promising but fell apart very quickly. If you dont have a super nice/expensive home and arent dropping at least 15k plus, Scott wont be interested and wont treat you like a customer and will leave you hanging. I HIGHLY recommend passing on Kalia and using another flooring company.

If you want to be price gouged, call Scott!! If you want to wait days and days trying to get ahold of your bid, call Scott! If you want to have complete uncertainty when you project will start and finish, call Scott! If you want someone to sell you floors and take no accountability when the contractor messes up, call Scott. If you want to leave staples and nails in your almost 100 year old oak floor to just have them sanded over, call Scott. If you want refinish dust throughout your ENTIRE home, call Scott. Just an FYI he wont answer his phone the first time you call, so make sure you specify if you are calling from a million dollar mansion or not. That seems to get the job done! But honestly you will probably get the same terrible quality.Oh, and one more thing... we spent thousands on new floors. I asked for some kind of floor protection between the door and the stairs to protect it from movers and other rennovation. I can work out the numbers for that, but I wouldnt worry about it in a house like this -Scott Heath from Kalia

I have had a frustrating experience with Kalia flooring, to say the least. First, my initial shipment of flooring came one week after the promised date. It wasn’t quite enough to finish the job, so now, all I’ve needed for SIX WEEKS was one box (or 4 boards) so I can finish my bathroom & closet. I’ve called and texted Scott 3-5x per week— not enough to register as annoying or a stalker, but enough to inquire about the shipment status of my flooring. Most of the time, my calls are unanswered and go to voicemail (which I leave a polite one). I am beyond exasperated and at a loss at this point! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

This place is AMAZING! Their prices are very competitive and they were willing to work with us in a tight time crunch. The craftsmanship of their installers was both precise and detailed. We adore this company and will be working with them again in the future. Top notch company. If your looking for quality and price, this is THE PLACE to go.

Scott at Kalia was awesome to work with. I searched multiple places for vinyl fencing and the customer service at these other places were just horrible and they acted like they didnt care whether they got my business or not because of how busy they already were. Kalia on the other hand answered all my calls and any questions I had. They actually cared about helping me out. I totally recommend this company for any of your flooring needs or vinyl fencing. Scott was amazing, we had closed on our home and when we had the carpet cleaned, we found they were covered with dog urine and previous owner would not help cover the costs. Our Realator Jim Barber recommended Kalia Flooring to us. We ended up replacing all of the carpet in our home. Not only did Scott help by rush ordering the carpet, he sold us a heavy duty pad at his cost and put us at the top of the installation list. Scott went above and beyond what any other company would do. Because of this kind of service, we had him carpet our home we sold. Thanks Scott! We will be back.

We just recently used them for the 3rd time. Carpet for rooms and 2 large rugs. We have always been pleased with the both the service and products. They have always made our house look better.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE!Asked for a bid just over a week ago now and still have yet to hear back from Scott. When my husband and I picked out exactly what we wanted, and provided our floor plan so they would have exact measurements, to give us a bid, I never got a response from Scott.I have called three times now, and have gotten blown off each time.If you care about responsiveness and care about good customer service then DO NOT USE KALIA. Save your time and go somewhere else because it is doubtful this business (Scott) will ever get back to you.If my husband and I would have chosen high end options like hard wood and marble counters, maybe we would have been considered a real customer.

Our experience was great!! We had quick install and price was what we were quoted! They got back to us on times for install and how long it would take. The installers do great work and are fast! Most importantly we LOVE our floor! We had tile installed around the perimeter of the room and carpet in the center and all great quality and looks amazing! I had one spot I wanted adjusted that I didnt see til after they left and they came right back to adjust it same day. I was wanting to put my home on the market, so I had Scott, the owner, come over and give me an estimate of what it would cost to refinish the original hardwood floors. I got the quote on the spot and asked him when he could start. He said it was about three weeks out. When I told him I was trying to get my home on the market as soon as possible, he said he would try to get me in sooner. Two days later, his crew showed up to do the job. They were great guys, did beautiful work and cleaned up after themselves.When I put my home on the market, everyone that came through commented on how amazing the floors looked. Two people that came through were actually professional floor guys, and they commented that the floors were flawless.I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Scott and his team. I would definitely use them again!

Brutal customer service. I was working with a contractor, who supposedly ordered from Kalia. When the contractor didnt show up with the carpet, I became suspicious and called to inquire about the status of the order, since it was paid with my money. The owner (or whoever answers the phone), was very defensive, and would not confirm whether or not the floor had actually been ordered or not, and would not confirm whether or not it had been paid. Very shady, deceptive business. After he knew my number, he stopped answering calls. Bad customer service. Dishonest. Absolutely would never deal with this company again.Edit: Their response is that I never purchased floor. Contractor was supposed to purchase floor from Kalia. I have an invoice from Kalia for my carpet. When I suspected the floor wasnt purchased, I called Kalia to confirm. He would provide no information, his only response was, talk to your contractor. When this happened with other suppliers, they would give me updates on product, but not Kalia. Go elsewhere for your floor. I highly do not recommend these guys.

The staff at Kalia was very knowledgeable and friendly. They helped me to make the right design choices to best compliment my home. I love how everything turned out! They also had the best prices in town. Great service and great prices -- they really are the best.

Weve had our gorgeous hardwood floors for about 6 months now, and we LOVE them! Kalia had great pricing, was easy to work with, kept us posted on the delivery time of our flooring as well as the installation, and their crew was extremely professional. I would consider us to be fairly picky...weve been remodeling our whole house and have done our research on everything weve chosen. We get so many compliments on our espresso, hand-scraped, birch floors...beautiful! I would recommend them to anyone!

Weve gone round about with a few outfits looking at hardwood flooring. Found Kalia almost by accident while driving down I15 and saw the large Kalia Flooring and Design Center sign out front. My wife and I were looking to replace the carpet in our living and dining room with hardwood flooring. We werent sure about the different types of options and what would work best over time for our needs, but we had an idea of the look we wanted. We visited a few other places price shopping. They werent bad necessarily, but we felt the typical sales pressure at one and my wife doesnt deal well with that kind of thing. The others we just werent 100 percent about. Didnt feel like we were getting something we would be entirely happy with, and also felt (hoped) we could get a better price. The staff at Kalia provided something a little extra. They seemed a bit more knowledgable and took the time to give us some great hardwood options that were specific to what we needed. Even a few things we didnt think of that just made the difference. He also offered us a great deal on some additional hardwood stock he had that was almost identical to what we were looking for. It was just such a good experience that it prompted me to write him a review as a way of saying thank you for the time and money saved on our end. Give Kalia a shot if youre looking for hardwood flooring and design assistance. I dont think you will be disappointed.

We just bought new hardwood floors and carpet for our home. They had the best service I have ever had. I am not very good at matching colors to my home and they were so helpful. Before you buy a floor you stop by.Just wanted to add another review! When we moved into a new home and wanted to change the floors I knew exactly who to call. Scott had many options for us to choose from and helped us find exactly what we were looking for! Love our new flooring and can’t wait to use them again for our next project!

The customer service was great! We thought we knew what we wanted but after discussing the many options, we took samples of the wood flooring home and realized our favorite wood was what Scott had recommended all along. Its amazing how the color scheme of our home pulled out the different under tones of the wood.If youre looking for someone who knows what theyre talking about when it comes to flooring, I would recommend Kalia Flooring.

Do not go to this company!!! We went in explaining to them that we had young kids and a dog and needed something that would hold up well to them. They told us that an engineered hard wood product they had would work great for us. They also then used a marketing scheme like this stuff use to be $8 a sq ft but we are trying to close it out so we will sell it to you for $3. We bought it, spent thousands of dollars, and a lot of time installing it and now 1year later the stuff is crap!! Has not been at all what they said it would be. I went back in a few months later explaining it was not holding up well and they were very unhelpful. I want to let as many people know as possible to not go to this place!!! Very frusterating experience for us!!

Was quoted and had in writing a very reasonable, somewhat cheap price for carpet and was told that it was valid for two weeks. When I went to buy the carpet and schedule a install date I was given a price that was almost double what they had quoted me. I showed them what I had in writing which included the price,carpet and pad I had chosen plus how many square feet the room was and then they told me that I must have told them the wrong square feet of the room but that was impossible because it was wrote on the quote card. They would not honor the price they had quoted me and I was very disappointed. Although they were very nice and polite in explaining this to me I dont think I would use them or send anyone to them because of this dishonest shady business practice weather it was unintentional or not. Buyer beware and make sure when getting a estimate from them to have them break down and explain all costs so you can have an accurate price.

We had a great experience using Kalia Flooring. We had the carpet on our stairs replaced, and they did a fantastic job! Would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

If I could leave negative 5 stars I would!!Me and my husband got in touch with the owner Scott to order our vinyl fence for our new house. Well he took like 3 days just to respond to the fact that we wanted to order a fence, then took almost a week to say he did get our measurements and would invoice my husband.Well then he just stopped responding. When we’d call the shop we’d leave a message with whoever answered the phone and get no phone call back, my husband used to help Scott and deliver flooring for him so we’d text him and just never got a response. So, while we were trying to get our new fence in for a family get together we were going to be having, Scott just never ordered our fence I’m assuming because we never heard back and never got our fence! To say we are beyond frustrated and disappointed in lack of customer service is an understatement.We gladly went somewhere else, paid a little more money but guys what.. we actually got our fence.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HERE FOR ANYTHING after receiving that crappy of customer service.

I just bought new hardwood flooring and a new rug for our family room. They had so many floors that I have never seen before. I will definately go back when we do our next house.

If I could rate this business lower than one star, I would. The beginning: July 2014. I was in the market for about 200 square feet of laminate flooring. I stumbled upon Kalia and they had exactly what I was looking for. Scott (the owner) said that if I took the remainder of the inventory of that particular style, he could discount it 50%. Sounds wonderful, right? Now why would I give Kalia such a bad review? Let me continue the story. Fast forward to November of 2015. Im back in the market for more flooring of the same style. I give Scott a call and ask to order more. No problem he says, Ill get on it. After a few days of no contact, I decide to give him a call to see if there was additional information that he needed. Nope, everything is in order was my response. Roughly another week goes by, and still no contact. I needed an ETA on my flooring, (hoping to get it in before the holidays) so I decide to call. After not being able to reach Scott on his cell, I call the store. They say they will call him to check on the order, and he will call me at a later time. No response. This goes on for roughly 3 weeks before I was fed up enough to go into the store myself. Scott was there, and proceed to tell me that my particular style was backordered until January. Seriously?!? It would have taken 5 seconds to text me that, but it took coming into the store to finally get an answer. No big deal, I thought. At least now I have my answer..I guess I can wait. Fast forward again until January 2016. I give Scott (another) call to place my order for my flooring. Again, he says no problem and he will be in touch with the date of arrival. I proceed to call Scott for literally a month straight trying to find out when my flooring will be in. Other than a Ill check on that I never got an actual date. Finally after constant phone calls, texts, and calls to the office I get an answer that it will not be in until mid-March because that is when their next shipment is arriving... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? After a month of placing my order, I just now find out it will not be in until Mid March??!?!? I then decide to pay extra and expedite the order. Scott says it will take a week to get in. Finally I can get my flooring in right? Wrong!! I called Scott for 4 weeks asking where my flooring is, and got no response other than Ill check on it. Today, March 4th, I finally get a call. Good news, my flooring is in! Bad news, it is the wrong stuff. I finally decided enough is enough and dig deep to find another store in the area that sells the same stuff. After finally finding a different store, I head in and place an order. It took them 5 minutes to do what I have been fighting Scott over for 6 months!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT SHOP AT KALIA! TERRIBLE SERVICE AND CUSTOMERS ARE SCOTTS LAST PRIORITY!!!!

Kalia flooring has terrible service. I tried several times throughout the week to call them with no luck and they wouldnt return messages/voice mails. Be cautious as you decide to do business with this company as a decent price may come back to bite you in the but with terrible service and poor business practices
