They offer the best bang for buck setups and guitar repairs in Nashville. I’ve tried a few other shops in town that overcharge and underperform, but Glaser has consistently given great setups at fair prices with reasonable turnaround times. I will continue to send all my instruments there for the foreseeable future.
First time at their shop and they treated me like the many repeat customers they have. Down to earth and not just out to get a buck. They did a small repair for no charge, so I’ll be back with my future not-so-small needs. Also loved sitting outside their shop chatting with other customers!
Great people with more expertise than most in the game. Would recommend to anyone who is serious about quality, and specificity of action for serious tonality. Thanks guys!
I needed some stuff done to a 6 string bass. The Glaser guys nailed it. Woodwork and wiring were first-class, communication was excellent, and the turnaround was quick. Highly recommended.
Really great work and affordable. Turn around time was fairly quick.
They replaced the expression pick up system in my Taylor 414 with an LR baggs active element. I was ready to get rid of the guitar but now it sounds amazing. Thank you guys so much, Kevin Lampton
These are the real pros. Quality work, fair prices and engaging customer service with no big time attitudes to be found. Spending the money for a professional setup is a great investment!
Great service and prompt work done, had a fret job and electronics repaired on my 716ce
My Martin got smashed while at a conference when a small sound board fell on it. A friend recommended Glaser. I could not have been more impressed with them! They came in within their estimate of time and cost, and did amazing work!I expected to still have a pretty noticable crack, even after repair, but it is gone! Highly recommend.
Picked up my Telecaster today which Mr. Glaser installed his B Bender on. May I say I’m very well pleased with their work. He cared for my guitar like it was his own. No wonder all the Nashville greats use his services!
Go here. A great set up saved a guitar I was giving up on. 5 stars. 👍👍🙌
Honest and helpful!
I took my Taylor acoustic there to have the preamp and power supply replaced, actually my wife had to take it for me because I was at work, and I expected a few days to a week for it to get completed but they did it right then and there in about 10 minutes at no charge! And they thoroughly explained everything to my wife who knows nothing about guitars and were very patient to answer all her questions. She said they were just super nice, down to earth guys. That’s not something you get at most music stores in Nashville. I’ve definitely found my go to for any of my repairs!
I took my Taylor guitar to Charlie today. He worked on it an reset the string height and adjusted the neck. It plays better than it ever has. Then Charlie would not let me pay him. But I am still going to send him a thank you card and some money. I highly recommend this guy and will definitely be using them again. I have heard so many great compliments on them, now I know why . Thanks again Charlie.
I have more than my fair share of older BC Rich basses (to say I’m extremely/overly protective of them is a massive understatement... nothing to worry about here). I’ve had re-frets, PLEKs, nut & bridge replacements and setups performed by Nick, Jake, Clayton (and possibly more). Every bass I’ve brought to them now plays like a dream (and better than *anything* else I’ve ever played).
Seems very rude and condescending
Unbelievably affordable. Amazing customer service from some great dudes. Faith in humanity restored.
Yesterday I took my new Martin DSS-17 in for a setup—it was getting a bit hard to play. After taking a quick look, Charlie did the setup in five minutes on the spot and didnt charge me a dime!Ive been in Nashville for over six years and Ive always taken my instruments to Glaser. They do incredible work at reasonable prices. And they actually care about their customers and the long term relationships they build with them.
I’ve been there three different times. Twice to work on a Martin guitar, and once to repair a damaged headstock on my Taylor guitar. I’m not a professional musician, just a regular guy on the street, and each time I was greeted by friendly staff that was knowledgeable and fixed my guitar quickly at a reasonable price . I cannot recommend these folks highly enough !!
Recenty sent in my Tele style guitar for a B Bender install. Great experience all round. Joe Glaser called me on two occasions to walk me through process and update me on the final results. The other staff in the shop were extremely, helpful and professional. They also kept me updated telephonically and via email. Very quick turn around time. Superb quality of the work. Highly recommend, and i will enlist their services again without hesitation.
Priceless guitars need the very best when it comes to their care. This is where you will be able to trust your instrument is in the most capable hands
I had my Les Paul and my Blues King pleked and setup worked here. They did a great job on both.
These guys are top notch! Super friendly dudes and they work fast to get your guitar back to you. Once I had my guitar back, it played PERFECTLY. Getting a PLEK treatment done wasnt cheap but it was definitely worth it.
I dropped by the shop to get help with a minor electronics issue my guitar was having. The first person I saw in there stopped what he was doing and helped me right away. He started by understanding the issue and then was able to fix my guitar on the spot. While I was in there, I watched another customer discuss a re-fret job on his own guitar. The technician was very thorough in discussing options/possibilities and the associated costs and timeline considerations. Seems like these guys are very thorough and eager to provide great service!
Took my Charis Acoustic to these folks for a setup. OMG, what a difference in the way my guitar plays. This is not the first guitar I have had them set up and they always come through for me. Their work is just the best out there. Thanks Guys.
The staff was very helpful with my sons repair. Friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating.
They took my mediocre playing 1974 Gibson Les Paul and turned it into a fantastic playing instrument. What they did was: Re-plain & Refret the Fingerboard, install a Bone Nut, and set up. It was expensive but, the guitar shreds now.
These guys have repaired two guitars for me now. A vintage Gibson Country Western that had a bridge lift and my Gibson 335 that had a cracked headstock. Their work is absolutely flawless and they are amazing to deal with. Very kind, professional people. I will never have extensive repair work done anywhere else because of the experiences Ive had with them. Thank you guys, very much!
Mr Glaser is a true professional. Very responsive to any and all concerns you may have about your instrument and services they offer.
Joe did a fantastic job with a pickup install on a Martin of mine- just nailed it. I was in Nashville for just a couple of days and he worked around my schedule to get it done promptly and professionally- overall an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
I took one of my guitars there for a basic repair job.Apparently it wasnt an instrument that was up to their standards to even bother with. They were condisending, and acted as if I couldnt get myself and my guitar out of there fast enough!Alright, I get it... you only want your pro friends and people you know in your shop. Possibly thats why you dont have a sign on the building.I guess you dont need or want my money. Thats good because theres plenty of other repair shops in town.
Very very congenial helpful friendly folks, and as I understand, THE place to go in Tennessee for anything guitar. The finest players do, that should be an indicator of their dedication to craft, and love of it.Joe Glaser, thanks for all your help....
Best, most knowledgeable technicians available when it comes to world class instruments.
Has to be the best repair shop in Nashville. Joe does it all there and is super cool.
Absolutely the best repair place in Nashville. what can I say. Joe developed many of the now established inventions and innovations that are in common usage in the industry. So sorry that some kid got his feelings hurt but they too great care of my Chinese Eastman and we chatted about beloved $100 Yamaha classical guitars. MAnything but stuffy its pretty telling that when Tommy Emmanuel and in his day Chet Atkins came to Joe. You should be proud to say they laid hands on cause it will be right. And hey I left my guitar for two weeks to get it set up. If youve ever had custom Luthery done by the really good guys it takes time. MSo ignore the little tyrade by the kid above. This the place to get your axe right. My EASTMAN sounds remarkable and the price was very fair.So there! As they told me at Artisan Guitars, Joe is The Man in Nashville.
I went in with a string that was fretting out I thought. The man behind the counter quickly assessed the issue. It was only a manufacturer error in the string. But he went and sanded my bridge so the strings sat on nicely, and even put some wood glue on my nut that was loose. He then replaced the string for me. When I asked how much I owed him he told me it was no big deal and it was FREE. He probably spent about 10 minutes working on my guitar, swiftly assessed the problem and fixed it. Well here is the payment. These guys are awesome and clearly dont try to upsell.
Even though you never got to my guitar, thanks for at least reaching out on facebook and communicating. .
Great work always helpful and fair pricing.
I brought my 8 string esp in to get a nasty ding fixed on the back edge that wrapped around the side of the guitar. And another smaller ding on the side. The guitar is black too btw. The ding was pretty bad. You could see the wood. I gave it to Scott in the paint department and I didnt expect much other than it will look better than it did when I brought it in. I picked it up two days later and WOW i was blown away with how good of a job he did on the repair. You cant even tell anything ever happened. Im very please with the work. And the cost was a lot cheaper than what I expected. Win Win going to Glaser Guitars.
Great service, friendly staff, fair prices. If its a quality instrument that deserves expert care, the team at Glaser is worth checking out.
Stellar staff and an on-site owner make this one of the finest musician support establishments in the world.
Made a appointment a week or two in advance drove from Indiana that morning dropped the guitar off when they opened had it back by 4pm that afternoon. And FYI my guitar is not a vintage Gibson or Fender it is Korean made and they treated me nice.Thank you for the great set up and service.
Shipped (from Austin) my Warmoth parts strat with stainless frets from for a Plek and setup. Excellent work. Plays as good, if not better, than some much more expensive guitars that I own. Intonation and playability is spot on. Will be sending more guitars soon.
I have been taking my guitars to Joe and his crew for years. I always refer people to his shop because they are highly skilled and knowledgeable, honest, very reliable and timely.
Best, most reliable honest bunch of craftsman for 30+ years
Best guitar builder, designer and repair place in the Country.Period.
My new go-to guitar repair shop. Heres what I posted on the Taylor Guitar Owners GroupI am indebted to Glaser Instruments in Nashville, TN, for their work on my Taylor Guitar! An hours worth of work and, ... wait for it, ... No Charge! Just a heres your Christmas present! My Taylor 214ce DLX had a nasty rattle in the lower strings.Id bought it used from the Guitar Center last October and didnt notice it in the noisy showroom. Once home, it was a tremendous disappointment.I contacted Taylor Guitar about the issue and Thomas Cepeda quickly replied and referred me to either Glaser Instruments or The Classic Axe in Nashville. Id used Glaser Instruments once before years ago on a Takamine so I decided to try them first. As soon as I walked in the tech got to work. He talked me through his efforts as he progressed from diagnosing to fixing the issues. The nut had been replaced and was very high. Also, the bridge needed adjusting. After an hour, he handed it to me and it played beautifully! Then he said no charge. Its your Christmas present. I was blown away!I highly recommend Glaser Instruments in Nashville for your guitar set up and repair needs! Not for their generosity but for their expert service! Well, maybe their generosity too.Merry Christmas!
